My first time in escape room and it was not disappointing at all. We went after work with bunch of other coworkers and were divided in three groups. We were signed up for “The visiting Hour” room and I must say it was very difficult to get out of there. Really need your brain to be working. It was the hardest and darkest room of all. But we had great time. :)

Did "The Visit" last night, 6 people and we beat it! Had a great time and the puzzle were hard and challenging while still being fun and clever. Keep your eyes peaked or you might miss something ????. Very well put together room, overly very satisfied. They have games on hand for those who arrive early so your always entertained. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable without just giving you the answer when you ask for hint, which we have had in other escape rooms. Will definitely be returning soon to try out other rooms :)

The BEST escape place we've been! The staff are friendly, the game structure was SO fun, the waiting room (or check-in space) offers fun even before the escape fun begins, there's locker storage for your personal things, and cookies while you wait for your room to be ready! Brought my 11 year old son here to accompany my middle aged female brain, and we both had equal parts of an awesome time. We'll be back! (And hopefully to make it out before our time runs out!)

Been going for my birthday the last few years and it’s been such a fun experience. All the rooms are SO well done. Their descriptions and recommendations for the amount of people are spot on. 100 doable with a smaller group like mine, but it’s an extra challenge without more friends haha. The staff are SUPER friendly which makes us always return here!

It was my first time at GTFO and it was a good experience. We did The Heist and thought it was a great room with a series of puzzles. The room itself, I found difficult to see padlocks because of the lack of light in the room. When I first walked into the lobby, it felt like a great atmosphere to hang out before heading into the game, but had a lot of furniture and props that made the lobby smaller than expected. Service was less than anticipated: when debriefing, I felt the staff was more laid back than being formal when speaking to customers. But overall, was quite an experience and would go back to try the other rooms (Would definitely have to bring more than two people to do the rooms).

Came from out of town, looking for something to do. Super fun and exciting. Staff are chill, and super friendly. The Heist was awesome; lots of challenging puzzles. We made it out pretty quick but it was all awesome and well done. Great atmosphere, great place. Definitely recommend.

GTFO easily has the highest quality rooms and puzzles out of any rooms I have done in Edmonton and Toronto. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship make the rooms believable and have you thinking back to them for days after your booking. I was very impressed with the management and staff as they were great to deal with. We will definitely be back again and would recommend GTFO to anyone! Best escape rooms in Edmonton!

A friend and I have tried a bunch of different escape rooms around the city, and the Heist room at this place was by far my favourite. I REALLY love how well they pulled off the theme, I wasn't expecting it to be so extensive and well-done. Would highly recommend this room if they still have it when you go! Lots of fun!

Great room quality, felt way more immersive than others in the city (we did Nightfall, loved that even the room smelled like pine!). Objective was more clear and attainable as well - difficulty was challenging but still fair and able to solve. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend, my new favourite escape room place in the city!

I enjoyed escape room experience. The waiting area has lots to keep guests occupied until their room is ready. Cookies and bottles water are provided. The puzzles were reasonable in difficulty and all made sense. Staff is really friendly and explained things very clearly. Off all the escape rooms I have been to Edmonton, this is my favorite.

An excellent way to spend time with friends. The escape room forces you to think fast on your feet. So if you're into mystery and challenges, I would definitely recommend! Plus they take your picture at the end to solidify your memories! Overall awesome I can't wait to try it again!

My favourite escape room in the city! I've been here twice for the heist and visiting hour rooms and both were a great time. The staff were friendly and quick to help on hints - not only that, but the hints they gave were useful too. The puzzles were reasonably difficult and the rooms had really cool effects. I recommend this place for all my friends who ask for which escape room to try. Also, they have free cookies in the lobby (the good kinds too)!

The room was really nice and staff are really friendly. I gave 4 stars because the rooms are only 45 minutes!! That's toooooooo short for an escape room. I don't know what's the deal in Edmonton but most of the escape rooms I have been to in other cities were at least 1 hour.

Great from start to finish. I was booking for a group, so I called to talk it over. They listened, asked good questions, and recommended a great room. When we got there, they welcomed us and explained the waiver (I read every word but their summary was pretty honest). Then we played Jenga and ate free cookies until it was go-time. Finally, the room they suggested for us was perfect: lots of space (group of 8 big people), great atmosphere, and great puzzles. We did Nightfall and I would recommend it. Also, we were a mixed group (adults and teens, puzzle people and non-puzzlers, escape room vets and noobs), and we all had things to do and felt that we contributed. If you're considering an escape room, don't hesitate. This is a quality operation.

my friends and I have finished all the rooms and its one of our favorite escape rooms in the city. The concepts of each room is always different and interesting. The puzzles have different difficulties as well and are always mind boggling. Some are easy to figure out and some are hard. Just waiting for a brand new room to open and we will definitely comeback! Love the part where they give out the free polaroids in the end. They always turn out to be super cute. Totally recommend!

Reviewing after our first visit to GTFO, we did The Heist! You can tell the creators put in a great amount of attention to not only the aesthetics of the rooms but also to the challenges/puzzles. We had a tiny technical glitch in the beginning that didn't allow us to advance at first, but the staff were on top of it right away. While we had to leave the room for a minute during the fix, they did tack on a few extra minutes for us. I've already recommended GTFO to several people and I can't wait to go back to try the other themes!

This was my husband and I's first escape room experience and we loved it!! We went with another couple that had gone to other places but they agreed that this was the most fun! We completed the room with 3 minutes to spare! There was a lot of things to discover and we all worked together as a team and also individually to solve the puzzles. There was 2 rooms in total for our story line, which was really fun. We had to use some of our help tokens but that's part of the game too :) All in all I would highly recommend GTFO for first timers or if you haven't gone there yet. They have different levels of rooms and the staff was friendly and helpful! Will be going back for sure to try some of the other rooms.

Completed their Heist room. Loved that the puzzles were well-designed in this one. A lot of places will make the room more difficult by adding a couple of silly puzzles, or dead-end misdirection. It was really nice to have a well-designed, but still difficult, room!

There were 4 of us who upon completing the Night Fall room had decided that we needed to complete the other 2 the same day! We had such an amazing time. The rooms were challenging and really well planned. Go into knowing that you don't know what to expect. Exceptionally friendly service, very personal and relaxed. Games to entertain while you sit in the waiting room and complimentary water. Once the rooms change over will definitely be going back. Having done other escape rooms in town, this one is definitely on the top of my list.

Having done a lot of escape rooms in Toronto, we decided to see how the escape room compares here in Edmonton. Our group of 5 did Nightfall and we definitely had a lot of fun. Puzzles aren’t too hard and very fun to solve. Thanks for a great time and our game masters Evans was really friendly and professional. We recommend this facility to anyone that visits Edmonton!

GTFO is always our go to for some of the best escape rooms in the city. I have done almost all the rooms, and each is unique and presents its own unique twists. The staff is always great, and I appreciate how quick they are to come when called for a clue. We just did The Directive this weekend and had a great time! I only hope they soon develop a new room as I have done almost all of them!

Experience: It was honestly really fun this time! So far, our group did Nightfall and Europa. I recommend Europa for first timers. We were 4 and it went great. We were also allowed pen and paper thankfully. Nightfall is a bit harder. We were 5 in that one and tbh it got really hectic????. Staff/guides comes immediately after you press the hint button, which is fantastic and they're ofc super helpful. While you wait for your turn, you can play games in the lobby. Do come a bit earlier than your time slot. maybe strategize and whatnot???? We'll def come back and try the rest for sure Parking: at around 8:45 we paid $3 for the whole night (until 6am). You can also park right in front of GTFO and it was free but we went there much later, maybe 9pm? but those spots are limited, the $3 parking on the side of the building has plenty of spots.

We really enjoyed our experience at The Heist at GTFO (although I am not a fan of the company's name). We appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the things to do while the rest of our party waited for us (board games, puzzles, videos, oh my). Most importantly, we loved the escape room and found it sturdily built (is sturdily a word?) and tricky enough to keep us busy the whole time, but never stumped so we would give up. A fun time for everyone, from our youngest (12yrs) to the oldest (me, an adult of "cough, cough" years). The three 15 year olds and the 16 year old also had a blast. Way to go GTFO.

We did "Nightfall" it was just two of us so we wern't able to finish in 45 min, but we were given more time since the room was not booked after us. YAY! This was the best break out room experience I have ever had - been here twice and service is consistent and honestly the best. We actually came back because the service was so good- we didn't feel like we were shuffled around like a number and when they were running late they actually called me to let me know they were 15 minute behind rather then having us wait. I booked my sister's stagette at GTFO and it was amazing. The staff was fantastic, enthusiastic, and easy to deal with all through planning and the event itself. They also serve cookies and bottles of water in the waiting room. There was one room we didn't escape in time and they allowed us to continue until we finished it. I assume they had an open spot after us but I have never seen this at other places even so.

My friend and I had time to kill so we did a last minute escape room, and it was such a great experience. Their waiting room is pretty cool and they offer you free water and cookies. The staff is incredible, even when you're pretty sure you look like an idiot and spend 20 minutes on the first two clues. The actual escape room we went in was better quality than most I've been in, and certain clues are really inventive. Overall one of the best experiences I've had at escape rooms. :)

This was my first time trying a escape room, my friends have played before. We did the visiting hour and it was awesome! This room is the second hardest they have, we struggled with it, but the hints they give were very helpful. It was extremely fun solving the room. We went over out time, and they were really nice about letting us stay longer to finish it! Its only 25 bucks for this room, I would highly recommend playing! If you are new like I was, i would probably go with someone who have tried them. But if you and your friends are new, maybe try a little bit more of a easier one! Staff was super friendly, the place was comfortable, clean, there is lots of parking, and very reasonably priced. Also free cookies and water! The cookies are soo good!!

If you want the best experience with an escape room, you need to do the rooms at GTFO. All of their rooms are excellent. Well thought out, lots of varied technology, very immersive settings and a varied amount of challenges. Things make sense in the rooms and really add to the overall storytelling experience. There are a lot of things for the group to work on without having people standing around waiting. GTFO is, by far, our most favorite escape room company! We've done all their rooms and are always on the lookout for when they open a new room!

My favorite escape place in the city. They have cookies and water and the rooms have some puzzles and stuff that I have not seen in any other rooms. I also like how they do their clues, I like that the rooms are challenging and make you feel good if you complete them.( We have gotten out if some but not all. But been close if we didn't quite get it) My only problem is that I have now done all of the rooms at the place so as soon as they switch one up I'll be going back!

The experience was immersive plus they offer a good gathering place to hang out when waiting for everyone to arrive. And the price was better than most places. We went with our family (5 adults) and tried out the room themed "Nigthfall." Being that some of us have only ever done 1 room prior (elsewhere) and some had never an escape room, it was a nice place to start. However, we were very confused about the instructions provided. At the beginning, the host told us that the lock was very simple to open, use code "0000" push in and twist - we took that quite literally and spent 15 of the 45 minutes trying to open the first lock with the code "0000." Afterwards, the host explained that was just the example for the lock he was using, but it did still create a lot of confusion in the room.

We did Nightfall and found the whole experience to be well thought out. The set (room) and puzzles were excellent and you could tell the staff were passionate by what they do. We really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to return and do Heist and Visiting Hours. Definitely one of the best escape room companies in Edmonton. It shows throughout the lobby, rooms and staff.

My husband and I have done dozens of escape rooms and The Heist at GTFO was one of the, if not THE, best escape room we've ever done. The puzzles were clever and logical. The room was well laid out and kept us engaged the whole time. We didn't escape in time, but we'll definitely be back to try some of their other rooms. Five stars!!!

The room quality is impressive, as they plan everything in house, so the puzzles match the room theme (we enjoyed Nightfall). It was satisfying to have a cohesive feel throughout the experience.

It was a great experience. The puzzle were difficult but not overly crazy. They were very understanding about the bad traffic as our group was running a bit late , they didn't deduct our time or anything which was very nice of them. Had lots of fun, we did the asylum and heist.

We were first time escapees, and tried Nightfall, the woods-themed escape. We had a couple of sticky points, but thankfully the staff came in and really helped out by explaining the puzzle we were stuck on, so we could then figure it out. We managed to solve our room with less than 5 minutes remaining. The foyer is a bit small when there's a lot of people there, but they have cookies and water for free, as well as a bunch of card games, TV, board games and all sorts of stuff to keep busy while waiting for other people or a room. I would easily come back to GTFO and try the other rooms, and would like to see them either expand or cycle through room scenarios on say, a 3 month basis.

We were excited as it had a great rating, but without giving away any hints, one of the clues had not been updated with other variables in the room, making it impossible to solve one of the challenges, and a second had a hard time unlocking something which gave us difficulty coming up with the right number to solve another challenge. Staff were very helpful and encouraging, and did what they could to help, including adding a bit of time due to the wrong variables left in the room since we were correct in our rationalization for that puzzle.

We have done two of the rooms here and escaped them both. The first one we did was The Heist and it was great. The puzzles flowed into each other and we managed to escape the room without asking for any hints. The only time we had the staff come in was when a puzzle wasn't working properly. It was a fun story and the puzzles are very diverse. The second room we did was Nightfall. I wasn't as big of a fan of this one as it is very lock heavy and you end up with a pile of different locks that all need the same solution. It was a cool concept but it got a bit frustrating. The staff continues to help you without giving the answer away which still gives you the feeling that you solved it. My biggest complaint would be that they don't have more rooms!

GTFO has some of the best escape room experiences in the city! My friends and I have tried 3 rooms (Nightfall, Visiting Hour, Dungeon of Drakar) and all were amazing. Great theming and atmosphere, really fun props/gadgets/puzzles, and very friendly staff. I can't recommend them enough! If you're looking to do an escape room in Edmonton, this is one of the best places to go.

Our team of 3 did the Dungeons of Drakar room. The mechanisms were in good working order, while puzzles made good logical sense! It was a great moderate-level room. When we needed hints, the staff literally ran to the room. Needless to say, the service was excellent. For this room, some puzzles do require you to take your mask off temporarily.

The waiting/seating area was much better than most, there's water, cookies, games and reading to help burn through any waiting you have. My family and I attempted The Heist room on a Saturday afternoon. Two of us had never been to an escape room before and the other two had only been to one once, so we were basically all beginners. Although we weren't able to complete the room in time, we had so much fun figuring out all the different puzzles and the hints we got were very helpful when we got stuck. Jimmy was really great from the beginning and actually let us stay and finish the room after our time was up since we were close to the end and no one was booked after us, which we were very appreciative of. I was visiting Edmonton for a business trip and have been invited to participate in GTFO escape. I can't tell how negative my experience is. Stuff members were ignoring us on providing assistance with malfunctioning of the equipment after that started to argue . I felt like leaving right away. I went on their website right away to see how they describe the room. Europa described as the most tech room. Not a single chance nothing even close to being innovate or technological. Please management if you give 45 minutes only than at least train stuff and fix room. No comments. stay away from this outdated place without sign of the customer service or working equipment.

NIGHTFALL (4-6 people ideal, less than 4 might be too difficult) FUN FACTOR: 8/10 DIFFICULTY: 8.5/10 PROPS/PUZZLES: 8.5/10 I enjoyed Nightfall (I prefer horror/thriller themed rooms). It was a little difficult with the four of us but the Props and puzzles were great. The darkness in the room although part of theme was a little bit of a deterrent in figuring out the puzzles and props etc. GTFO has great staff, very friendly, bottled water and cookies along with board games in the lobby are a nice touch. I love the extra "side puzzles" in each room that if solved you win prizes in the lobby safe!

Heist: We put on our game faces and decided to break in to the vault. The detail that GTFO puts in to each of their rooms is amazing. The puzzles are challenging enough to keep it fun, but not so difficult that you are running in Circles. For anyone that hasn't done an escape room before, and is looking for an amazing night out with friends and family, this is the place for you! Also Heist is a great place to start, lots of fun, definitely not GTFO's most challenging room tho!

My wife and I have done quite a few rooms in the city and did our first GTFO room today. Nightfall was definitely tougher than we had anticipated. Unfortunately we didn't make it in time but we really enjoyed the atmosphere and variety of puzzles to complete. One unfortunate thing that happened was one of the puzzle props was not set up properly and if took us about 7 minutes before we figured it out and asked for help. That kind of sucked to lose that much time to an error but the employee who worked with us was really helpful and even let us finish the room after time elapsed. Will definitely try out the other rooms at GTFO.

Best escape room in town! We had completed all 3 rooms before the fire and have always enjoyed our experience. I booked one of the new rooms for a friend's birthday and the staff there were so accommodating! We had people running late and were really disorganized but they were really cool about it. There were some technical difficulties with the room we did but the staff helped us out and made it feel like we were successful - it was nice that they were more focused on our group having a good experience than the storyline of the room.

I was in town visiting a friend and she booked us a room here. We did Nightfall and I was thoroughly impressed. I've done a few escape rooms before so I assumed they would be very similar. But they were very attentive, their waiting area was super cool. They had a bunch of board games and puzzles for us to play while we waited, not to mention cookies and water! The room itself was very well constructed, they emulated the environment to the dot, even the smell. The puzzles were thought provoking and really encouraged teamwork. You could tell how passionate they were about this. I would definitely come back and try another room the next time I'm in Edmonton.

Amazing spectacular and engaging experience! I organized a corporate team building retreat with GTFO in late October. Staff was amazing, responded to emails quickly during open hours. When our day finally came, they were organized and quick at getting us into the rooms. Rooms were realistic, fun, and well designed. Thumbs up! A ton of elements, and solid, satisfying puzzles, as well as some interesting gimmicks which actually add to the experience. Great fun! Very laid back staff and best part is they gove good hints without just telling you and they RUN to get there so you don't waste time waiting. High quality rooms worth the money. Highly recommend!

One of the best escape room experiences in Edmonton. Their hardest room was done superbly. The theme of spies was fantastic and you really have to work together as a team to get out. Everyone has to be on their game as it requires a lot of communication. The puzzles give you a real sense of accomplishment and they make total sense. It's not just a bunch of locked boxes. The production value is great and the experience is quite immersive. The staff are friendly and there is so much to do even before you start the room. Go here if you want a great escape room experience. I plan on trying out the other rooms when I get a chance

The room itself was excellent. I was phoned about 20 minutes before our scheduled booking, and the staff informed me that they were running about 15-20 minutes late. That was fine by me, but it ended up being closer to 35 minutes. It felt as if they forgot about us or were distracted by another group that was also waiting (they were very loud). Either way, the staff was very fast and attentive when it came to providing clues/hints.

We booked the Dungeon of Drakar room and it was wonderful. It was easily one of the best escape rooms I've done and I've gone to quite a few. They have also taken great care to make sure that everything is kept clean and safe to limit any risks due to Covid.

Great experience! I took a group of teen girls to GTFO for my daughter's birthday and they had a blast. They were in the Nightfall room and loved it. This room is unique in that you aren't trying to escape a room but rather trying to break into a cabin. On the drive home they all agreed they would go back to GTFO. I spent the 45 minutes in the lobby and it was very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and extremely attentive to the players. When a room buzzer goes off the staff would run to the room immediately to answer questions ...very impressive. We will definitively return.

Exceptional entertainment for a fair price, with great staff! Very well kept place and it doesn't have that cheap homemade feel like some of the other breakout rooms can have...they really put in some great attention to detail. We did The Heist, it was a blast!

Great experience! I have done a few of these escape rooms, and this was easily the best experience. The room was great and the challenges all made sense. The staff were awesome and made it really enjoyable. They even have games and cookies in the lobby while you wait. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Had lots of fun at this escape room. The room was really well put together with different types of challenges and puzzles, not just a ton of different locks like some escape rooms are. We did "The Directive". Highly recommended.

DO THIS!! We went for a staff party last weekend and it was FANTASTIC!! The staff (and owner) were super helpful and friendly. We had two groups and we did Nightfall and the Heist rooms. After, when we decided to switch rooms they were able to easily accommodate us. We had a blast! Can't wait to go again :)

This was our first time at GTFO but certainly won't be our last. We have done 5 or 6 escape rooms in Edmonton but this one by far was the best. We were really early as we were not sure about parking but they had a great seating area with games to play. They even had free cookies and water. Excellent service. I would be hard pressed to go anywhere else.

We have made our trip to GTFO a yearly tradition that we all look forward to. All the rooms that we have done are filled with different types of puzzles and are well layed out. This past visit there was one part of our room that was not working (which happens sometimes at any escape room places) and they were extremely apologetic and did their best to fix the situation. A++ for customer service. I would highly recommend GTFO for your next escape room adventure!

So So So Amazing. What a cool experience. I cannot wait to go back to do the rest of the rooms. It was very well done to match the theme and all the puzzles used mechanical sensors to match the room. I would highly recommend this room as one of the best escape rooms I've been to, period.

Did the dungeon of drakar theme room. It was pretty fun and borrowed elements from Harry Potter and wizardry. The only complaint was that one of the puzzles was difficult for someone with a poor sense of smell

We always have a great time at GTFO! I have done The Heist, Nightfall, Europa Colony, and Dungeon of Drakaar. I like that all the rooms are unique and use a wide variety of technology. I’ve truly enjoyed all the rooms but think my favourite is Dungeon of Drakaar simply because I’m a Harry Potter fan and liked the theme and mechanics of the room (you get magic wands to use! Best part IMO!). The team at GTFO is always super friendly and helpful. I like that they don’t just give you the plain answer with a hint, but instead push you in the right direction. They also snap a Polaroid photo of you and your group to take home as a really cute momento. The only thing I miss is the water and cookies they used to offer pre-Covid, but hopefully that’ll return eventually. Fantastic job GTFO Team, keep up the great work!

Staff are super friendly and some of them even recognized us all after the last few visits! For first time visiting, recommend you to try "The Hesit" or "The visiting hour", they are THE BEST!

Very friendly & welcoming staff. We did the Europa Colony room and split our group of 8 into two teams of four so we could compete (this was a work outing) and it was great! Everyone had something to do and something to offer, i don't think you would want more than 4 in your room.

This was my first time doing a escape room at GTFO, the puzzles were cute and straightforward. Would be a perfect place to take children for a birthday party. Two of the puzzles in the room were glitchy, but the staff were able to help us out within seconds of pressing the help button. Overall it was a fun time.
