REVIEWS OF Beaumaris Lake IN Edmonton

Christine

Beaumaris Lake, is very much like an oasis , within the city of Edmonton. A paved trail around the entire lake. There are a few bridges to cross, and several look out points with nice wood benches. Take the family for a beautiful walk, maybe have a picnic. Bring some bread for the ducks, and geese , and enjoy how close they will come to you. It takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to walk around this gorgeous lake .

Kelly

A really beautiful lake hidden in north Edmonton. The aging paths are currently being repaired so there are some detours, but otherwise a very relaxing place to walk the dog

Lis Marie

Beautiful lake area right in the city! It’s a decent sized lake, close to 3km to walk all the way around. There are tons of different bird species and trees, it’s a pretty area! Very easy to access with a lot of walkways to enter and park around - great to get out and about!

Kristine Reid

Lovely walking / bike path but currently under renovation.

Rufael Chekol

Nice place but not much public seats at the edge of lake

Iqbal Singh

Awesome place

Tabi Dyck

Was a beautiful day to ride bikes with the kids today. Yes they are doing upgrades and construction around the lake. So a couple of detours but still a great way to spend an outing. They are replacing the lookouts and decks. Looking great! The girls and I had a great time today.

Doc Stranger

Always one of the most wonderful places to go for a walk, many different varieties of birds, some of which you won't see very often or elsewhere... a wonderful place to take in any season

John Semeniuk

I’ve been going here for at least thirty years . My favourite lake in Edmonton. Dates, exercise, or walking my beagle. Nothing beats the out doors . Beautiful wildlife ducks ???? redwing black bird to the giant goldfish in the lake. I love ❤️ …

Kirstin Dion

I love this lake! It is so peaceful and amazing to do a few laps around. I have been walking here weekly for about a year. The best time of year to walk here is in the fall and winter (literally deserted in the winter) but keep in mind that the trail may be slippery so wear proper footwear. During the hotter seasons, there is a bunch of duck and bird feces on the path and too many people that you cannot enjoy the walk as much as in the winter. On another note, there is a ton of parking space near Sobey's!

Michelle Hill

We love the nature walk with the geese and ducks!

Anthony hinz

Under construction right now but lots of geese snd ducks

Wesam Khalfalla

Awesome placeAwesome place!

Kristine Lynn Bowman

It's beautiful. Folx are friendly, the birds sound lovely, some times the pelicans visit, the geese are used to humans so mostly non-aggressive.

Kim Dorcas

Wonderful and I can't wait for construction to be done

Adib Kaddoura

varja pavlova

Starla O'Neal

We drive from south side to walk around Beaumaris Lake. It's beautiful and always has lots of ducks!

Ken Manweiler

Beautiful end-of-summer afternoon walk. The City has done some major much needed renovations and have almost completed them (Sept 2021) making this a beautiful, peaceful walk.

H. K. (On Time Painting)

Nice place to walk, but the paths are too narrow for bikes and the increasing number of people walking. Currently under renovation (August 2020)

Jamiyaka Chan (Jdollprincess)

Good place to take a walk, jog or simply destress.. Scenic view!

Jihad Saleh

If you are looking to get a fresh air in the north side od Edmonton, my advice to you is to spend some time at this beautiful lake. It is located in the castle Downs area. You can access the lake from different streets. You can park your car and run or walk around the lake. Do not to feed the ducks, so bring some bread.

Bill Briscoe

2 min bike ride from where we live. My son and I love coming here for bike rides and to feed the ducks and geese. Best little hidden gem northside of the city. :)

Erin Evans

Although currently under construction on certain parts of the path, they are making it better and you can still walk around the entire lake with just a small detour. It's a peaceful, easy almost 4km walk with plenty of waterfowl to enjoy.

D J

It's a beautiful place to go for a walk or to sit on one of the many benches overlooking the lake. Watching the sunlight sparkle as it bounces off the water. I sometimes meditate while I take in some sunlight and listen to peaceful tones on my Bluetooth headphones. See you there

Kirk Dewhurst

November 1, 2021 The renovations are done and they are amazing, there is an awesome new wide asphalt trail. New decks facing the lake. This is an awesome gem in the North side of Edmonton. Always lots of waterfowl to enjoy. The lake was frozen a bit so my wife and I got a laugh watching the geese skate on the ice Beautiful walk/run/bike around Beaumaris Lake. Right now there is a major renovation/upgrade on the trail around the lake so be careful as the trail is a little rough at times. It is definitely needed as the old trail and look out points are well worn. This is a piece of nature right in the middle of the city. I definitely recommend coming here for a breath of fresh air and enjoying the geese, ducks and pelicans.

Alex Weber

Beautiful place

When I come to this lake I usually run around twice or so. Its about 5km twice around. Be careful not to run into the geese.

Nicole Anharo

Has an Amazing scenery and it is a great place to spend time with kids.

Joselita Pighin

This is a beautiful place for walking, jogging, running, biking, and sightseeing! My family always enjoy our walks and plays here. I would probably give this a 5* if it wasn’t because of the construction right now.

Camilla Narayan

Great place to get some exercise, safe for little ones to run ahead. There is some construction and detours, but we found someone to help guide us.

Rachel Castelletti

Wonderful complete path to go all the way around the lake. An easy walk with loads of birds to watch. It's quite busy certain times of the day with rollerblades, runners and the occasional cyclist. But predominantly used by walkers.

P N

Good short run.

Matt Ayres

Currently under construction but will always be a great spot for walks and runs. Can't wait to see what the finished product will look like!

Jonas Wong

A nice, serene lake with a wonderful 2.7km trail completely surrounding it. Featuring numerous aquatic fowls and other species, Beaumaris Lake is an excellent choice for a family walk or even for ambitious wildlife photographers.

Ahmad Zouikli

Niranjan Paudel

A very beautiful lake for morning and evening walk with family.

Graham Gilmour

What a great place! Good for walking, bike rides, and sitting. The paths are a little old and cracked but the city's fixing all that. Scenic. Lots of ducks and other water fowl.

Kev P

Best place to cardio. Good one lap distance of ~2.6 km. With a nice view of the lake from all sides. Also a good place for a good 30 minute romantic walk. Peaceful and quiet area.

Donny Kinistino

The weather was brisk and we enjoyed hunting for rocks. The geese were aplenty and were anxiously awaiting their journey south.

Laura B

A beautiful spot for a walk or run. Especially if you like looking at birds!

Doug Petry

Love to walk here and feed the ducks and geese. It's under construction right now and they close parts of the path as they work on upgrading it but it's still good. Lots of pelicans there right now as well as griebs and Coots. We bring my granddaughter and she loves to climb around on the rocks and feed the ducks. We found wild bird food at the dollar store and they love it.

Amir Baker

A quiet place to go to.

Chris Dicks

Very beautiful walk. Easy terrain and well maintained

Simeon Padmore

This is a great place for a brisk still out a mild jog. There are families and construction so it can become cramped. Pick your times wisely and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

bamacharan chakraborty

Best to visit in morning.

Jamie Gowda

Love my walk for over 30 years !

Jason Uppal

Best lake in the city. It's finally being repaired after years of neglect from the city of Edmonton. Look forward to when it's done.

Angie Carrillo

Beautiful place to go for a stroll with the family

Mark K

under construction to make it beautiful like it once was. Have been frequenting this lake for 35 years and have watched it change alot over that time. Please bring back the lookout bridges. will re rate after construction

Kyla Rose Kirk

Beautiful. Peaceful. Nicely laid out. Some nice angles for pictures.

mike towns

Great place to run or walk. Beautiful birds and constructed nature. Still under renovation so only half the lake trail is open.

Raymond Los

A little challenging with the construction. Had to use detours, and for an old guy I thought there would be some benches to sit and rest, at least there was a retaining wall. But picturesque and calming in the middle of the city.

Vince Chichak

It's a great place for a casual walk.

Lo Me

Love this lake. I come for walks, and to watch the many species of birds in the summer.

Claudia G

While some parts are currently closed off for maintenance, it's still a nice place to enjoy the last bits of fall weather.

Jonathan Lantz

Nice little walk

Robert Zern

Nothing's nicer then going for a walk around Lake beaumaris
