I have been taking my kids here since they were babies and we still go here as a family to have fun even though they are young adults now. It is the perfect place to go to take great family pictures. Highly recommend this place for all ages!

I attended an Indigenous event behind the legislature building. There's a big open space surrounded by huge trees in the shape of a circle with an open stage at one end. It's a really beautiful setting; and really well maintained!

A beautiful and incredibly space. Vast grounds that allow you to find a spot where you can sit in peace, whether by the fountains that spring from the ground, or the tranquil pool, or the beautiful flower beds that grace the path to the open park behind the legislature. With picturesque backdrops of the city in every direction, it's a no brainer of a place to enjoy a day.

Was very nice and was a very awesome experience with talking to the people that are staying there and listening to the drumming and singing from the native singers and I stand 110 % with these people and for what they are standing up for cause they are standing up for all of us and are rights as humans. Beautiful grounds, plenty of parking, safe place (monitored by video surveillance). Only problem is that the building is under major restorations and one cannot appreciate its full beauty.

This place is kept absolutely beautiful all year. Very beautiful building. Biggest problem is that this is where the Alberta government sits, makes the rules etc.

Such a beautiful and scenic area to walk around, at any time of year! In the summer especially it's great to see the water fountains and pool full and it's always such a busy and popular space. Going early is better if you want to secure a spot to sit!

Very nice grounds to go visit... disappointed that there was no water in the splash pools to enjoy. Currently undergoing renovations to main legislature building and other renovations on grounds. Still very nice.

Christmas lights this year, as always, are beautiful. We spent a little while walking around in the cold listening to the Christmas music they piped through the speakers throughout the grounds.

I am a local wedding photographer and have spent a lot of time on the Edmonton Legislature grounds. It's a very photogenic spot with lots of manicured gardens and cool buildings to explore. These ground are a great place to hang out on a hot summer day because of the wading and fountain pools. Love this local iconic landmark.

A historic place for families. We came here to celebrate Canada Day and it surely worth it. Learned alot of things about Alberta and also had the opportunity to walk through the legislative assembly hall. The greatest challenge though is parking.

Road my one wheel here for a group ride on one wheels and EUC's. Would've been nice if the fountains had water in them to cool off a bit in the summer time but maybe they'll be on next year.

First time visiting the Leg and learned so much from our tour guide. Tours are free and offered daily. They’ll take you around the building and share historical facts of the building, Alberta and it’s current and past leaders. Great, informative tour guide who shared funny stories. If you’ve never been this is good to visit in Edmonton.

This is the Alberta Legislative Assembly Building and grounds here in Edmonton. There are many places where you can park your vehicle most of them are park and pay. Every year its decorated beautifully for Christmas but this year I believe due to renovation the building was not decorated. But as usual the grounds had many lights . The single massive Christmas tree was well decorated with reindeers on the ground. The grounds are peaceful to walk . Before the covid19 restrictions public were allowed to go into the building. The building is quite old but very well maintained.

The fountains are currently closed. They have a lot of construction. But the fields out back of the legislator facing the river is a nice place to hang out. I like how they renovated it, they have a lot more benches and it's nicely kept up. Great place to have a picnic or if you have kids they can at least run around in a safe area as there are speed restrictions around.

Visited the grounds on New Years Eve so it was a little cold, however the location was beautiful with all of the holiday decorations and lights. There’s a lot a paths and walkways and lots ™ see. There is even a skating rink and access to every side of the building. Parking needs to be found off the legislature grounds and it means a short walk back and forth.

The leg grounds are a great place to go for a walk inside or out. You can sometimes grab a coffee or a hot dog from a cart during the summer and occasionally see some crazy people yelling about random things... Which is always interesting. Bonus points for the beautiful fountains in the summer and the trees in the winter.

Christmas lights are spectacular mixed with the gold colour lighting of the Legislation Building. Such a nice atmosphere as they have Christmas music going. A word of caution for parents with small children no bathrooms with change tables to be found after hours. Prepare for a cold open air bum change if nature called.

Went on a guided tour of the building. It's free, and I just went online and registered us for a time slot. Security was very friendly, guide was awesome. Very knowledgeable. I belive his name was Chet. It was very informative, and a lot of history. Beautiful, well kept building. Park and grounds are beautiful too, very nice. We truly enjoyed it, and highly recommend.

Great spot in the summer for soccer, bocce, swimming and lounging in the shade or in the sun. Can be fairly busy on nice days. In winter the lights are also great and they have hot chocolate and carols in the legislature on certain days.

I love the Alberta Legislature grounds. Beautiful flowers in summer and kids play in the fountains. Good place to go for a picnic or a walk. In the winter there is ice skating. The lights at Christmas are beautiful.

Visited today after dark to look at the Christmas lights at the Leg grounds and they were beautiful. Almost every tree on the property has been strung with lights and they have Christmas music playing on outdoor speakers.

I currently hate that the fountains are off and the building seems like it's constantly under construction. We used to love the fountains, first as a kid, then with my own children. I feel like they need to add more grout and fix some if the water features. I do love the grounds though. It's well maintained, with beautiful, unique flowers and plants. So for grounds 5 stars but I miss the fun fountains!

This is a lovely place to walk, the grounds are extremely well maintained, and the building itself is beautiful. I've done the legislature tour a few times and it's fun and informative. I think my favorite place to sit and enjoy the quiet is in Lois Hole garden.

Well there people we went to a food truck there today and is was very nice atmosphere to say the least kids playing in the water we had a table in the shade come on what else do you want for a nice lunch. There's food trucks there all most every day go check it out folks. Regards to all.

This is always a favourite place of mine to visit in the winter. The lights are magnificent in the snow, and the music quietly playing makes it just magical. The Ledge has some construction going on or something though, so don't count on getting awesome pics with it in the background..

We went there for the New Year's Eve fireworks. Theres not much for parking so it's much easier to take the LRT to get in and out. The grounds are clean and well kept. They kept government buildings open to look around during the night before the fireworks and lots of other entertainment and food trucks, plus a couple bonfires to keep warm. We had a great time and would come back again next New Year's Eve.
