Nice and quiet. Love the ponds too. But I didn't see many species. I think it takes more knowledge and a binocular to see them. You can rent a binocular in gift shop though

The viewing tower, in the Reifel Bird Sanctuary, provides a terrific view over the refugee! The platform is very solid and has a large observation deck on top with a informational sign describing the surrounding area. The huge shipping cranes (not the sandhill cranes, lol) at Tsawwassen are east to see on a clear day. Below the tower, the ever present mallard ducks wait for a hand-out of seeds; signs remind tower users not to feed them from the structure. The tower is definitely worth a bit of effort to enjoy the view!
