We had an awesome view of the town of Dawson and the Yukon River. Because it was July 2nd, it never got dark so we didn’t see the night time view of the town. Gorgeous views otherwise. Well worth the ride up.

I cannot imagine why someone would give this spot a 1-star; he/she must have been drunk. This location is outstanding for taking photos of a variety of topographies. The vistas are beautiful: valleys, rivers, small urban area, mountain ranges ... We were there in early June in the late evening planning to watch the sunset ... but it didn't happen till well after midnight. A surreal experience.

When observing the aurora in autumn and winter, it is quite cold, so sufficient protection against the cold is required. By the time I went to fall after mid-August, it was just below zero even at midnight. When I went in the morning, I could see a beautiful sea of clouds.
