This is a hidden gem!! The museum has a significant display of period structures and well laid out displays. You will leave with an appreciation of how the area grew from a fur trading post to a vibrant town on the edge of the escarpment! Very interesting to say the least!! My grandson came away with a totally different awareness. Displays in the basement and toilets are not handicap friendly, this being the only downside! A must see if you are in the area.

Visited a couple years ago. Nice little museum, very friendly staff.. We spent about 45 minutes there. A bit pricey, but well maintained and interesting collection of local history. Kids enjoyed handling the furs and old tools.

The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. You are able to enjoy many sights like the Sandringham School, a pioneer house and a trading post. The Parkland Archaeological Laboratory has many interesting fossils and artifacts dating back millions of years. Come see Chris the Croc, a very rare prehistoric crocodile found along the banks of the Wilson River. Stop in for an hour or book a tour!
