Beware 8,5 $ to access the trails. Nice view of Carleton from there. Lots of bugs when we went (mid August) which made it not so enjoyable.

The trails are narrow, steep and on one side there is a cliff. If you don't like heights, don't! I did not like my experience at all. There were no toilets or potable water in the parking lots. (Translated) October 5, 2020. We hiked 12 km. From the Eperlan parking lot. We took the Taguine trail which started with a 25% drop for 2 km. To end with the Cap Ferré trail. Summit about 4.4km. Super nice view. The Oratory of Mont Saint-Joseph. A few viewpoints along the trail. For the return we took the Cap Ferré trail then the Monti, then the Rescapés Ouest. At the junction of the Survivors and the Smelt there is a magnificent waterfall that must be seen. A few stairs but worth it. We finished with the South Smelt Trail. A pleasant descent among these trails, sometimes steep. (Original) 5 octobre 2020. Nous avons fait une randonnée de 12 km. En partant du stationnement Eperlan. Nous avons pris le sentier Taguine qui commençait avec un dénivelé de 25 % pendant 2 km. Pour terminer avec le sentier le Cap Ferré. Sommet à 4.4km environ. Super belle vue. L’Oratoire du Mont Saint-Joseph. Quelques points de vue le long du sentier. Pour le retour nous avons repris le sentier le Cap Ferré puis le Monti, puis les Rescapés Ouest. A l’embranchement des Rescapés et de l’Eperlan il y a une magnifique chute à voir absolument. Quelques escaliers mais ca vaut le coup. Nous avons terminé avec le sentier l’Eperlan sud. Une descente agréable parmi ces sentiers quelques fois abrupte.

Beautiful and wide view over land and sea from the plateau. Several hiking trails can be accessed from here. The small church is worth a short visit but is not a must-see. It offers restrooms inside, though. There's a fee for parking and opening hours have to be considered. All in all a great visit when weather and visual range are good.

We parked at P2 and walked up along the Cap Ferré trail go the summit. I underestimated how steep the 1.8km hike would be, but the panoramic views are worth it. The summit is breathtaking and worth the admission.

The view is beautiful and panoramic. It reminded me of a mountain visit in Switzerland. The chapel with it's art gallery and souvenir shop is quaint and peaceful. If you're a hiker the options for a good trek are great but I was glad I drove to the top!

The Geodome is super clean, equipped with everything you need from kitchen knives to a salad bowl, a BBQ or a small oven and even a kettle! The experience does pay off but it's really worth it, the impression of living in a decoration magazine! Mountain biking: it's not for the weak! I tripped my life on the descent, I regretted all my excess life on the ascent !! (Original) La vue : Superbe, surtout au levé du soleil ! Les Géodômes ! Superbe expérience de vivre accroché à la falaise, de manger en ayant une vue incroyable sur Carleton et la Baie des chaleurs, de dormir bien au chaud avec le vent qui fouette le dôme. Attention, cela peut être ardu de monter se coucher mais il y a un 2e lit en bas au besoin. Le Géodôme est super propre, équipé avec tout ce qu'il faut des couteaux de cuisine au saladier en passant par un BBQ ou un petit four et même une bouilloire ! L'expérience se paye mais ça vaut vraiment le coup, l'impression de vivre dans un magazine de décoration ! Le vélo de montagne : c'est pas pour les faibles ! j'ai tripé ma vie à la descente, j'ai regretté tous mes excès de vie à la remontée !!

Make sure your vehicle is in tip top shape because the drive up & down is a doozy & be prepared to gear down a lot & break on during the descent. Nice views of the area & worth the drive up. Unfortunately, the buildings were closing when we got to the top but it was an experience anyway. Also, there is an entry fee (aprox $10 per person) Enjoy!

A surprise awaits you as you continue upward the astonishing 555m to find a lovely Church atop the mountain. The view literally takes your breath away. The guide at the entrance was inviting (even during Covid times) and the interior mosaics and hand painted tiles are gorgeous. Well worth the money!!

Also, the "easy" (eg Cap Ferré) is equivalent to an "Intermediate" from SEPAQ (good elevation, roots). Nice viewpoint (with signs on the region's ancient history) 555m near a chapel, but entry to this viewpoint is now $ 10 (July 2021). Hopefully there will be enough $ 10 to set up umbrellas or an area sheltered from the sun ... At least there are very new, super clean toilets (and even a shower). The reception staff are very friendly - there is even one who will gladly tell you stories of mini tornadoes or caribou ;-) (Original) Attention la carte n'est pas à jour - le Cric est maintenant réservé aux vélos en descente. Aussi, le "facile" (ex. Cap Ferré) équivaut à un "Intermédiaire" de la SEPAQ (bon dénivelé, racines).
