Not at all! It was the return of the loop that I ventured to the stairs indicating that swimming on this beach would be at my risk I realized that this was the interest of the park. And again, do not venture too far to the left of the stairs because you will arrive on a private property without even realizing it. The fossil cliff is on the right. When I went there, 2 employees were digging the cliff looking for other fossils. I greeted them but I understood that they were not there to interact with the visitor. The Miguasha site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. However the site is not particularly valued. Oh yes. I am asked $ 25 per adult IN ADDITION to the entrance fees on the site for a small film and an exhibition. It is there the valuation of the site (or should we talk about monetization?). I have visited 7 Sépaq parks in recent years and Miguasha is the only one that I will say that, if it is not on your way, in the current state of affairs, do not make a detour to go there. I was excited to find myself in this particular place considering what was there. I was bitterly disappointed. (Original) 1 seul sentier de marche, mais aucune carte pour nous le montrer dans le dépliant du guide (contrairement aux autres sites de la Sépaq). Je m’attendais à ce que le sentier mène à la falaise où ont été découverts les fossiles. Pas du tout! C’est au retour de la boucle que je me suis risqué vers l’escalier indiquant que la baignade sur cette plage se ferait à mes risques que j’ai compris que c’était là tout l’intérêt du parc. Et encore, ne vous aventurez pas trop loin vers la gauche de l’escalier car vous arriverez sur une propriété privée sans même vous en rendre compte. La falaise aux fossiles se trouve sur la droite. Quand j’y suis allé, 2 employés creusaient la falaise à la recherche d’autres fossiles. Je les ai salué mais j’ai bien compris qu’ils n’étaient pas là pour interagir avec le visiteur. Le site de Miguasha est classé au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Cependant le site n’est pas particulièrement valorisé. Ah, si. On me demande 25$ par adulte EN PLUS des droits d’entrée sur le site pour un petit film et une exposition. Elle est là la valorisation du site (ou devrait-on parler de monétisation?). J’ai visité 7 parcs de la Sépaq ces dernières années et Miguasha est le seul duquel je dirai que, s’il n’est pas sur votre chemin, dans l’état actuel des choses, ne faites pas un détour pour y aller. J’étais emballé à l’idée de me retrouver à cet endroit précis compte tenu de ce qui s’y trouvait. J’ai été amèrement déçu.

I am not a big fan about fossils but I give them credit to have 2 ginkgo trees in front of them! For that they ARE qualified for their specialty for ginkgo is the living fossil. They have different prices for different accessibility of their resources. I chose the cheapest one so only had a walk on the beach to admire the cliff and rock. Really cool park! We visited today with our puppy, and did the only pet-friendly trail, l'évolution de la vie. It took us just under an hour with stops to read the information along the trails. It's a very easy trail that follows the water and provides beautiful views! We noticed several birds and even a snake or two along the way! We really loved our visit to Miguasha National Park. The fossil exhibit is really amazing. We did the walk before the museum because it was going to rain later. If you have the chance to do the museum first it will make the walk that much more special. Right now there are not informational signs along the walk because they are doing updates. Take the stairs down to the lake and search for fossils. Definitely worth the visit!
