REVIEWS OF Key City Theatre IN Cranbrook

John e walk with a bad leg

went to see the balet, and this venue for a city the size of Cranbrook was fine. The seats for me were not comfortable, but that was due to a lower back issue I have. Staff and volunteers were excellent. Plenty of parking nearby.

Good visibility and small enough to have a nice atmosphere with good sound. The only issue I have is with the publicity on the website. One website said 6:30 another said 7:30-9:30. The concert did start at 7:30 but went until 10:15. I was with 2 school age children whose parents expected them home shortly after 9:30. It would be nice if they cleaned up their website. Otherwise it was a great show and pleasant experience.

Built in the 90's I think, this theatre is showing it's age. It's attached to the local high school so is used for their shows as well, so gets a little more use than a typical Civic Center. Well set up though; good seating and good sound!

The city of Cranbrook is pretty fortunate to have this venue located close to the heart of downtown. Built in 1992 this theater seats about 600 people which makes for a fairly intimate experience. From Performing Arts to touring musicians the theater offers an up-close-and-personal look at some pretty decent Talent. The lighting and the sound and acoustics are pretty good as well. There's accessibility to those who need it and if you taken a show that has intermissions they have a small cafeteria and beverage area you can tap into. One of the downsides is that there's no food or beverage allowed into the theater, which makes sense in some capacity, however, if you're going to a rock concert or show that you feel that you want to have a couple of drinks you should be aware that that isn't allowed. That said, the intimate nature of the venue sure makes up for the lack of dancing room ensuring that you get a full hair back experience as you enjoy your favorite types of entertainment!

To confined they have awesome bands but your stuck in your seat can't dance can't take pictures.

Best theater in town. The acoustics are awesome, not a bad seat in the house. Ticket prices are reasonable, and they support local schools every single year!

The Key City Theatre is an incredibly important part of Cranbrook. Most of us grew up watching performances or performing at the theatre for dance recitals, plays and music concerts. The Board of Directors, the staff and the volunteers make the theatre such a dynamic venue. With recent upgrades to the lobby, concession and technical equipment the Key City Theatre remains vibrant and welcoming!

Key city theatre is one of the highlights of Cranbrook. Great venues from live theatre, music, works shops, comedy, and host many productions from the local schools around the east Kootenays. I would highly recommend visiting.

Holds Connect church on Sunday at 10:30, and that church is unlike anything I've seen before. It's like going to a rock concert but the people are all really friendly and care about you. Newcomers even get free shirts and sun glasses.

I have been to several school events here in to the past, between concerts and plays. The volunteers have always been very friendly and helpful and the facilities cared for. They have great local art for sale on the walls as well.yhus was my first time attending a professional event as I attended the Brett Kissel concert and they didn't disappoint once again. I even had to the usher near offer to help a girl on crutches down several steps to her seat. I purchased the tickets through their website and while finding the actual event took me a second as it was a few months in advance, it was easy to navigate. The only thing I would caution on is I believe the concession to be a bit pricy but so are most other concessions

Love this place stage is in good view always clean and accessible.

I know I always write positive reviews but there is not a lot I can say that is positive about this place. The tech is lacking, the theater is poorly built and dirty, the volunteers are not kind and the shows are mainly catered to old people (great if you are older, not so much if you want new). We need an overhaul of this place. Sorry Key City.
