Here you will be able to see the feddbacks of people who are using the services of Nymph Falls Nature Park (Tourist Attraction) around Courtenay area (Canada).
Right now this business has a rating of 4.8 stars out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is almost the top, and it's based on a high number of scores, so we can say that the rating is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their review when they are happy, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction corresponds to the category of Ecological park.
Great park for nature walks and cooling off in the summer with a swim in the river. Plenty of shallow wading spots that are kid and dog friendly, and separate trails for walkers and bike riders keep everyone safe. Most trails allow dogs to be off leash, which our dogs really enjoy. One of our favourite outdoor parks in the Comox Valley!
Very nice little trails
Great place and only a short walk from the parking lot. Lots to see and admire.
Very easy walking trails that you can walk, run, or ride a bike on. Dogs can be off leash. Lots of parking, a few benches, picnic tables, and outhouses.
Great trails for everyone including our 4 legged friends!
Beautiful falls to be able to walk and swim in with precaution. But can be slippery and dangerous if caught by the stream.
Beautiful walk to the falls. Google maps is inaccurate -- we tried a few times to get to this place and it wanted us to go down private logging roads. Find Piercy road and then connect to Forbidden Plateau.
This was an amazing experience
Simply amazing. A must see. We spent hours here swimming and enjoying the falls.
Best freshwater swimming hole around. Dog friendly, off leash area. The hike down from the parking lot is mild enough for people with mobility challenges. Be careful on the rocks, they can be slippery.
Absolutely love this place. Trails are great and so very peaceful.
Beautiful nature park with walking and separate biking trails. Dogs welcome. For the most part the river walk and Long Loop Trail are easy to navigate but there are several spots on the river walk where the ground is uneven and involves navigating over tree routes. The Nymph Falls are beautiful with look out areas at several spots through the rapids. In the fall it's possible to see the salmon valiantly trying to get upstream. The walk through the forest is beautiful with lovely moss draped branches, ferns, a variety of birds, mushrooms and other vegetation. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is that the path signage needs improvement.
Most beautiful falls I have seen here in Nanaimo.
Stunning waterfalls and an easy little hike to get there and see it all. There are two good view points and both within 15 minutes light walk from the parking lot. Worth the visit if you're in the vicinity.
Very short walk from the packed parking lot. It’s a popular place and I can see why. The water temperature at the end of August was pretty nice. There are many viewing areas and parts of the trail are accessible for disabled people. Several areas of the river where everyone young and old can splash around.
Easy walk to the falls. There is a swimming area if you like too. We were there early September so it was pretty quiet. People were swimming and catching some sun...one of the last nice days of the summer
Excellent hike to the falls! The density of the trees at one point makes it feel like you're walking through a forest without an actual path. Once you hit the main falls, the trail extends along the river with various viewpoints the farther down it you do. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Trails for different level. You can hike or just get out of the car, walk 5 minutes to see this beauty!
One of my all time favorite places in the Comox Valley. The walking paths are excellent, the off leash aspect is so great for us and our very well behaved dog, and on a hot day nothing beats dipping in the pools. Go on weekday though as it can get pretty busy on weekends.
Felt so peaceful walking in the woods.
The hike is only about 5 mins or less to the falls but if you still feel like hiking you can take the long loop trail and walk along the river
Gorgeous place to nature bathe. Lots of trails short and long.
Great place to come after heavy rains!
Fabulous place.. do wear shoes with a good tread as you can slip easily on the rocks.
Amazing spot, incredible falls, and tons of accessible space!
My favorite place to trail run and stop to watch the water flow down the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. Plus there are many outhouses along the way. The newest outhouse is built log-cabin style and I give it 5 out of 5 gold stars.
Heats coming, it's a good place to keep cool. Nice easy trails to walk or bike. Very popular spot. Pack a lunch and sit by the water, either on the rocks or the benches.
Nice place for a leisurely stroll. I took Bear Bait trail, but all I encountered was a cantankerous squirrel.
Stunning beauty!
Only a short (10min) easy (flat) walk to the scenic water. Longer loop to the dam as option too. Definitely worth a visit.
Waterfalls, trails, trees and easy access.
A must see in comox especially summer time, Jump in the water and enjoy the view. Rocks are slippery in the water, I recommend wearing water shoes. I wore the Keens water shoes and they worked great in the water.
Wonderful nature playground!! Water in pics is usually only a couple inches to 12" deep on flat bedrock, so you can walk all around the river, set up a lawn chair even and sit in the river. Water was a nice temp esp on a hot day. There are pools dug out in the rocks you can sit in. Beautiful step falls. Path to and from is very easy.
Just amazing. The Falls are well shown on the map at the beginning of the park. After a 5-10min walk through the forest you will reach the Falls and are taken aback by the beautiful scenery in front of you. Moreover there are beautiful spots to rest on the stones. The water is amazing to swim there if you are careful to watch the streams. If there is high tight, i consider it save to jump off a cliff where you can see a rope attached to a fallen tree. However, i do not recommend to slide down anywhere on the Falls. It is too unpredictable as you can not see the underground and it is hard to say how strong the streams are. Do it at your own risk. If you are reading this, please be aware to take all your rubbish/ trash with you if the rubbish bins are full. It is just sad to see that people still leave things on the ground and do not seem to care about our future.
Stunning and easy to access!
Amazing easy trails, the river is magical, a few benches to take in the view. It's nice park especially on a sunny day.
Great spot for an off leash dog walk.
A nice family friendly loop or a longer option to the lake..
We love coming here, always a great time on a nice day. It's best to get there early and lay out your towels or setup chairs. On a hot day it will be quite busy. Parking is pretty simple and ample. The water levels can change throughout the day so keep an eye out on your stuff to make sure it's not going for its own swim. The path down to the falls itself is flat however the end is stairs, so if you have any mobility issues you may find it difficult to reach the water itself
Nice walks. Great river. Nice views
Great hiking trails. Small parking lot, trash cans, outhouse stall.
Amazing falls. Water is crystal clear. Went for a dip in the potholes was an awesome experience! A must see if you are in the area.
Easy access. Great spot in a hot day. Parking available on the road if lot is full on weekend.
With easy access, nice trails and well marked directions, thisblittlengem is an amazing day getaway. I highly recommend this place if you want spectacular beauty and some peace in the Wilderness.
A beautiful trail and waterfall location that is fun to experience.
Water running extremely fast. Unable to enjoy sitting on dry rock with visitors. Otherwise lovely as always
Great place to hike. Well kept trails.
Beautiful waterfall, a lot of space for family and friends hang out. We take the kids went for a long hike, no see any mosquito.
Beautiful trails. Waterfalls and scenery. Dogs off leash park just so you're aware if ya didn't know. Out houses for those that use them. Great swimming hole too but crazy busy on hot summer days. Take out what you take in please. Keep it beautiful ????????????????
If you are on the island this is a must do for your list. Beautiful refreshing and relaxing.
A nice, mostly flat, hiking trail with some beautiful river views, and water falls. A great place for a swim as there are some protected areas away from the current.
Wow! This place was very cool! Dogs are allowed off leash but be careful as the rocks are very slippery and the current is strong in some areas. Very cool little potholes to swim in and only a 5 minute walk to the park.
One of my favorite places
Very beautiful there. Next time we are going to slide down the falls..it's like nature's stairs.
Great regional park with a well identified trail system. The falls were beautiful to check out from the various view points along the river. Definitely recommend spending some time here if you're looking for something to do.
Best place to visit make sure bring your swim where I can stay here for whole day na it was relaxing and appreciate the mother nature
Delicious natural jacuzzi. Beautiful landscape. A must seen when you come to the island.
Beautiful! Easy trails, gorgeous scenery. Definitely a must see in the Comox Valley
Very beautiful walks.
Beautiful and really accessible. The short walk through the forest is quite nice, but the falls are an incredible payoff. They aren't the highest falls, but they're very wide and the huge volume of water coming down the fish ladder is captivating. Well worth it - is the perfect place for a family picnic on a sunny day!
Water was running fast. Levels increasing with the rain. No salmon.
Nice easy hike to the falls. My daughter loved it.
GORGEOUS!!! Trails are clear and well marked. Falls and river are breath taking. I'd go again!!
Beautiful easy walk. Trails can be disorienting at first.
Beautiful place to walk around. There is a carpark, no washroom. River trail is good for walking or cycling.
Relatively easy walk right down to the falls!
Some of the wettest water on Vancouver island. Quick liquid style, too. Would recommend.
A place to check if you're a nature lover.????????
It's a great place. My dog was really happy :)
This is a gorgeous location to go for a swim when the river is calm.
This is one of my favourite places, quite possibly the top of the list. Lots of biking/walking trails through the 61 hectares of (protected I believe) forest and an absolutely beautiful swimming spot. There are slow, shallow pools for young ones and swimmers that aren't so experienced as well as faster, deeper spots for more adventurous/experienced swimmers. Underwater potholes have been carved through some of the stone leaving openings large enough for me to swim through and emerge from a different cavern than the one I dove in. I LOVE THIS SPOT!!!
So cool! Many little pools to dip your feet in or swim. Not particularly small kid safe. Great place to hike in with a pic nic.
Amazing place to get wet and hang out. Not too bad of a walk down from the parking lot.
Such a fun place to play in the water. Also, lots of trails to explore.
Love this local spot
Great park! Benches everywhere. Trails are wheelchair friendly and divided into bicycle and hiking trails. The falls and the fish ladder are a must see!
This place is amazing. No wonder there were numerous cars parked on the road. The falls are 5-10 mins walk from the parking lot. The rapids create multiple pools in the rocks where it's slow enough to swim in and you can lay on the rocks to dry off in the sun. The water is nice an warm too.
Very cool trails and a nice place for a easy walk....
Awesome. We stopped in out of curiosity and ended up spending a few hours swimming in the falls.
Beautiful walk and the trails are easy. You can unleash your dogs and let them enjoy the park.
Great swimming hole. Summer 2021 has more current than previous years, be careful.
Even on a rainy day This park brings serenity to my walk
We headed here on Family Day and were treated to a wonderful winter scene. It was snowing which added to the beauty of the area.
Beautiful spot. Several trails for easy to moderate. Picnic tables available. Lots of free parking. Short drive inland from courtenay.
What a fabulous place for an easy hike. So beautiful.
Beautiful spot
Beautiful falls, you can get right next to them.
Love this place. Many trails to walk down. On a hot summer day you can go and swim in the river. A short hike or a long hike, its sure to please.
Beautiful place to spend the afternoon. Found ourselves a big flat rock, played crib and watched the crowd jump in swimming holes. Bring your swim suit
Easy walk to the falls. Lots of young people spread out among the rocks enjoying the weather during the summer
The most amazing spot to go and enjoy the water and scenery. A must visit when you are in the area, don't miss this!
Nice blue green water and falls. Was nice to deep your feet in warm weather. Be careful in the hole while doing some swimming as it may go deeper.
Walking trails, beautiful scenery and a place to sit and have a picnic. Nymph Falls is a beautiful place. Read the signs and be careful near the water. Enjoy
Always a pleasure to go there.
Very busy, but once you find you're way into the falls, so much fun!
Easy to walk through, lovely view. Fun for the whole family. You can take the long route, or the short one. There are many benches along the way to sit on and enjoy the scenery. The trail is cleared, but the nature all around is pristine.
A great park with many improvements. Stillness among the trees and great river views and roaring falls.
Family and dog friendly, fairly easy to access, was surprisingly warm (early August) for a river, lots of weird rock formations and small waterfalls with big currents. Potentially sketchy but otherwise really nice swimming area.
A very pleasant, mostly level walk on very well kept trails. Nymph Falls is really beautiful.
Great spot for a family swim :) but always watch your kids :)
Good place to walk
Beautiful park and waterfalls with great facilities!! Very well maintained and marked trails with wheel chair accessible route to view point!
Majestic place to relax and hang out with family and friends! Nothing beats nature wonder!
So amazing! What a hidden gem!
Fabulous scenery! Swimming lovely. Clean washroom. Totally gorgeous trails.
Amazing spot to go for hikes and hang out on the rocks in the sun. They recently put in some stairs to get to the rocks at the bottom of the falls.
I love going to this place for light hikes and walks! The forest looks different in different seasons and there's always something new to find! The tall trees, the pristine water... the greens and the blues... all of it together, makes it perfect! If you want to enjoy nature this is the place to be! This place is great for taking dogs on walks as well!
Beautiful park to go hiking at! There is a lot of of exploring that you can do here as the trail system goes up and down the river. Bring your DSLR, you are going to want it! This is an off-leash dog area as well.
It was awesome! Water was cool, trail was wide enough, parking was adequate, place was clean.
Beautiful falls lovely trails to meander through for a short walk or a long walk
This is a great place for everyone as long as you don't have major mobility issues. Make sure you know how to swim, some areas are safer than others. I would also recommended a good pair of shoes for walking. Don't miss walking to Barber's Hole, awesome place to go swimming but some sections are not easy to access. It's about 2.5.hr drive up island from Victoria.
lovely place for swimming river is running a bit high right now though
Great place to go for walk
I’m a stroke survivor and was able to enjoy this trail. Accessible parking, benches, wide trails, easy paths. Everyone can enjoy ????♿️
Been here for the first time for a quick stop and I loved it. The swimming holes will make you wanna take a dip so bring your swim clothes with you! ????????
Gentle hike, beautiful views.
What a beautiful set of trails! And the falls are so special...
Beautiful ❤️
Waters were raging this day. Great short walk to the heart of it. Wheelchair friendly
Love this area, easy access, not a difficult hike and can be as long or short as you like with all the different trails. One of our dog's favourite places!
Great little hike! It only takes about 5 minutes to the falls. The only downside is that it can get somewhat crowded, so I’d recommend leaving early.
Beautiful scenery, wonderful walkable trails along the river.
Trails are beautiful
Perfect place to go on a hot summer day with friends!
Beautiful hike, walk.
Beautiful place to visit! Such Beutiful Scenery
Don't miss these falls if you're in Comox Valley. Nice hiking and MTB trails but you can stop for just the falls on level gravel and dirt trails for the 1 km to amazing views of these wide falls. Lots of shallow places where you can hang around in the water on a hot day. Not friendly for wheelchairs really. Large parking lot. Porta potty on site in warmer months.
Watched salmon going upstream to spawn. Great walking trails, beautiful park.
Beautiful place ????
Easy walk to the falls
This was right up our alley. Lots of cars there on a hot day but there's so much space you can spread out and do your own thing. We had our four kids there and they went exploring, hopping over boulders and wading across streams. Our youngest we put a floatie on which in retrospect was a wise move as the water is very fast moving in some areas and it's easier to wade and float the littles ????. I could see it being pretty unsafe in high water but it's the sort of adventure our family loves. There are all sorts of side trails including some well maintained steps down to the water level for those who struggle.
This is my favorite place in the Courtenay Comox area.
Great place to go for a walk by your self or with the family
Cool park dogs allowed off leash lots of trails to walk around Awesome little swimming holes for hot summer days.
Super duper slippery rocks but if you manage you can go behind waterfalls, use the nature slide, swim beside large fish, find amazing Dallasite, and explore rock dugouts
A water falls you can slide down. Semi easy access to the river. Water shoes would be a great idea. Also very slippery. Life jackets are a good idea for small children. Nice walk to the river
Excellent place. A must visit if you are visiting Victoria. This park protects second growth forest. Has trekking trails too and comfortable walking trails. There is provision of washrooms and there are benches to sit if you are tired to walk. The falls rage over couple of exposed rocks. Would not recommend for swimming at all. There is a big parking lot also . I strongly recommend that one should visit this place
Falls really good, awesome place to cool off for an hour or two. Extremely confusing trail system though, on bikes it was incredibly hard to find a route that bikes were allowed on. Signage was really lacking. Beaver lodge much better for a ride with kids.
Beautiful rushing waterfall and totally family accessible. Easy peasy walk and close to town!
We really enjoyed watching the start of the salmon run in early October. Watch out for Google directions! We ended up on the opposite side of the falls from the viewing area, and had to backtrack.
Very well marked trails. Pretty spot. Limited parking so might end up by side of road.
Great spot for a walk in the forest minutes from town. Well maintained trails, river access, and an off-leash dog park!
Favorite place to walk my dog's, since dog's are always allowed off leash - so please be prepared to encounter dog's without a master immediately in sight. Well groomed trails, with some wheelchair accessible area's. Numerous seating options throughout the park, often with tranquil views. Spectacular views, sunbathing rocks, waterfall's, swimming hole's (when the river is low), picnic tables, mountain bike trails, lush beautiful forest. Autumn you could possibly witness the Salmon jumping the falls on route to their spawning place. One might imagine that they could meet a Elf from the "Lord of the Rings" while walking through these woods. Consider it to be a little bit of Heaven here on Earth. Parking can be a problem during summer months, recommend you arrive early if you want a good spot. Two public parking lots - if the main parking lot is full - turn left on Forbidden Plateau Road - follow road approximately a kilometer. Angle parking in both lots. Or park along the roadside, it's a fairly busy road - so please be cautious/careful/aware with your children &/or dog's when exiting/entering your vehicle. NOTE: Correction to Nymph Falls Goggle Directions: - PERCY Road is the road you take from the highway or other Comox Valley County countryside roads to get to Forbidden Plateau Road.
Fantastic place for a swim on a warm day. The river's water isn't too cold (July). Water shoes would be helpful to navigate some of the slippery rocks.
Great fall time walk! I love this place when I visit the island in the summer and the falls has many great swimming spots. This was my first fall visit and it was gorgeous. Just wish there wasn't rain...
Beautiful place to take a stroll through the woods on a hot day. The forest canopy keeps you out of the Sun and nice and cool
Great walk. Love being able to unleash the dog!
Just an awesome place to visit to watch the falls or the many hiking trails to explore.
Beautiful park along the Puntledge River featuring lovely waterfalls and an amazing collection of Inukshuks!
Amazing gateaway place for family. Love how its kids friendly. My family had a great time. 5mins walk from the parking lot.
Warm water, clear deep swimming holes, countless spots to set up for the day and enjoy the sun and water.
It was a beautiful place to hike! The only reason it got four stars instead of five was because the trail was slightly difficult to follow during my time there. Still a must visit place!
Very nice trails and falls
Nice place to take the family to. Kids can swim in the shallow water. Several points along the trail to pick a spot by the water.
Nice walk along the river. Paths are clear and wide. Very nice scenery snd the falls are pretty, though not a deep drop. A worthwhile visit
By far, my ultimate favorite place to walk trails when I am in Comox!!
So beautiful ???? The water was beautiful to swim in. The energy of the river was amazing ❤
Nice, but too many people.
Beautiful but to packed. Way to many people these days.
Good times. Lots of people in the summer
Beautiful place, dogs are allowed to be off-leash.
Family loved our first visit here. Well maintained and beautiful sceneries abound.
A bit difficult to find but more than worth the drive. The river was exceptionally high during our adventure as the flood gates of one of the epcor dams had been opened. The sound of the rushing water was exciting to hear. As you walk down the path, there are glimpses of the rushing water through the trees. There are occasional rest stops where you can see the raging river & feel the falls getting closer. Would visit again when the runoff has subsided.
Great trails, easy access, close to hey.
Nice scenery and nice walking trails.
Bring good goggles, the water is very clear and full of fish
Great vistas. Salmon were running. Nice easy hike.
Beautiful place any time of the year.
Always a beautiful walk through a wooded area. Options for short or long walks. Kid friendly and a leash optional area for dogs.
