Great trails for biking or walking your dog. Our go to dog walk within town.

Laura Carolina

Network of forest trails with many access points. Big, old trees and lots of sword ferns. Wonderful place for forest bathing.

Michael Edward Malcolm

But after 3years, hundreds of dog and no issues the region is attempting to control limit access. The only open friendly place to let dogs be dogs

Chris Richey

Good place to walk the dogs!

Travis Cadden

Beautiful walk for nature l lovers

Alan P

Great place to walk your dog or get away from it all. Forested trails, some trails are rooty, and up and down. On a gentle northernly slope.

Scott Van Achte

Northeast Woods is a fantastic trial network for walkers, hikers, bikers & dogs off leash. The trails are well marked with most connecting to the main green line "Lazo Loop" which circles the entire park. If you think you may be lost, just walk up hill and you are sure to cross paths with "Lazo Loop". If you have a dog and are looking for a great dog-off-leash park to get in a good run, North East Woods is fantastic for this. The trails are also awesome for new mountain bikers with some easier technical sections and lots of faster flowing trails. The climb from the bottom to the top is also not too aggressive and most riders should be able to handle it.

Dogs can be unleashed

Sushistew

Great place for an easy walk. So many birds and squirrels so bring your seeds.

Oliver H

Would be a great place to share amongst our community but the snobby mountain bikers think they own the place, its truly a shame.

Really nice trail system. Most of the trail is clearly marked, but sometimes you need to take a guess and double back if required. Lots of dogs off leash (which is allowed) so just be aware. Also good for bike trails. Several different exits/entrances. If you look on Google maps where a street goes up towards the forest there is usually an access point there. Parking varies.

Almost got lost in here. Not enough clear signs and to confusing with all the trees. If your trying to save your sanity don't come here.

Reed Holden

Nice little thicket. Some short trails. Convenient for a little rip on your bike, a walk or a run.

If you are a Comox local, own a dog and/or a mountain bike, you probably are very familiar with these in town nature trails. NOT likely to encounter bear's, cougar's or any wild creatures beyond bird's when walking these pathways. Consequently most folk's feel safe and comfortable taking a walk in these woods. The trails are often root bound & rocky, please be careful to watch where you step. Plus you'll be either walking uphill or downhill, which can be somewhat challenging. Pathways vary widely, some are narrow, steep, somewhat treacherous during wet weather. But...there are several old graded dirt roads throughout the woods which provide a easier walking alternative. If you are fortunate enough to have a furry, four legged friend to accompany you, then PLEASE... be a responsible pet owner - bag and /or remove their waste product's from the trails or any area's people are likely to use. Thank you. Remember, these are popular trails. You'll find mother's with wee babies, small children, older, feeble people amongst the folk's that frequent this park. Please, if you have a off leash dog or are riding a bike be mindful of others. Thank you. Plentiful parking available, no bathrooms, no benches, just nature, dog's & people.

Great place to hike. Pur second visit we brought bicycles in and had to get off and walk in areas due to mud but it was fun. The trail signs are very confusing and I could see it would be easy to get lost in there. Overall it was a beautiful place.

dan gillespy

Nice greenspace.

Alex Osborne

Love walking through here. Beautiful scenery, easy walk for most dogs. Leash optional!

Glen Mollett

I get lost here all the time, getting better, more signs would be great but a great place to get lost with the dog for an hour and don't go when it's wet, or bring mud boots
