A nice place to take your lunch and enjoy the view.
Beautiful, pristine beaches and campground
A good place for a family picnic. A little cool for ours, but a great ocean view with coastal mountains in the background.
Was a bit disappointed when I arrived, but they do say expectations are the root of all disappointments, lol. The one thing going for them is the fact that they are right on the ocean. Sweet views! Tent sites are just field and trees no tables or anything but you can hang a hammock and just kinda tuck away in the grass. Nice enough people. I left though.
beautiful views lovely picnic structure, but a bit crowded because it was double booked.
Nice
Outhouses are very clean, user friendly, have toilet paper and hand sanitizer, I was impressed. The area is beautiful, the campsites clean and relatively large. Staff are friendly, there is a mini store on site where you check in, they have the usual camping items, and ice cream, they also have firewood for $5 a basket, you return the basket to the store. Nice environmentally friendly way of selling wood. When I was carrying my basket to the campsite one of the staff stopped me, put the load on his bike and rode it over for me. I really appreciated that. He really went above and beyond!
Wasn't very impressed with the beach ,doesn't seem to be maintained.
Nice covered BBQ shelter. Small parking lot. The washrooms are not in good shape however.
Awesome local spot
Beautiful spot. Great place to bring the kids. My daughter has great memories of this park. It has a 1980s style playground with a merry go round. So wicked ????
A beautiful beach opening onto Georgia Strait
Had a nice air show when I left the ferry terminal over to Powell River. The snowbirds were doing a practice run for their upcoming air show.
What a great campground. The beach is supernatural, and I can spend all day there. Some campgrounds are first come-first serve, so you need to come before lunchtime to get some spots available. The price is reasonable. They have some snacks and coffee. And also wifi Shaw-open, which is excellent. The compos washroom is clean, and the size of the campsite is good, but with less privacy. Overall, great experience!
Nice short walk with a pretty view.
Awesome little park and from time to time the Canadian Snowbirds do a show.
Nice site and great beach access at a reasonable rate.
Nice area for a walk, go through the neighborhood.
Calm and quiet. It's humbling being by the ocean as it yells and whispers, changing from thrashing around to being as smooth as glass in a moment's notice.
Outhouses need to be better maintained. Otherwise as advertised, very beautiful seaside park with very limited camping sites.
Decent beach with picnic tables
Ok beach but not too much sand around
One of my favorite locations when I am visiting the Couteney-Comox area. Provides a nice place to picnic, some camping or walk along the park are overlooking the ocean. Very nice view of ocean especially watching the white caps on a stormy day. Right next to the Comox airport provides the frequent flight of a passenger plane or military jet. Great combination ☺
Great place to get out.
Great place to picnic
Enjoy the great camp hosts. Stay here a few times a year. The outter sites have firepits. In a valley wind normally stays high up in the trees.
Beautiful beach and campground.
My partner and I love to visit different campgrounds anytime we travel, its more affordable and you also get to connect with different parts of Vancouver Island. I made a last minute reservation and arrived a little late but the couple that works there are super friendly! Upon arrival, the gentlemen that greeted us was very helpful in showing us different campsites and providing us with what we needed, water, wood and kindling. He gave us a few logs for free which made me super happy and he also packed it to our car. The next morning we woke up to the ocean view sunrise and picked salmon Berries for breakfast and a cup for the host :) We'll be returning, Thank you!
Beautiful scenery, a small playground and friendly caretakers make this a really nice park
A beautiful small Provincial Park and RV Park on the waterfront. A boulder beach for swimming in the Georgia Straight.
This is a beautiful campground, with limited resources. There is no shower or laundry. The beach is walking distance, which is rocky, but beautiful! We stayed one night and it’s perfect to catch the ferry the next morning.
We flew a kite. It was great!
It's a decent place. Nice for family BBQ
Enjoying the moment Camping at kin Beach.
One of my favorite places! Quiet, beautiful and fun for exploration. Really old school playground equipment that is nostalgic. Lots of large driftwood and cool structure builds.
Looks like a good place to camp. We used the playground, it has a merry go round.....our favorite. Good place for a picture under the driftwood heart structure at the beach.
Beautiful location, great staff. Perfect for a family BBQ.
Great place for a picnic or a summer swim
Peaceful large campground with store.
Visit Kin beach from time to time to walk dog along the beach and pathway. Always clean. Eagles were hunting and added some excitement. Other users were friendly.
Limited bathroom for people using tents
Was so much fun beautiful ❤️????
Love this campsite! It is Clean and well maintained. The hosts are super friendly and their store was stocked with all the things one forgets while camping.
Nice campground. Great view. Clean bathrooms. Love the beach walk!
Spectacular ocean views.
Beautiful beach that I don't visit often.
Very disappointed in our visit to this park. It seems like more of an off-leash dog park than a serious BC park. Despite the "Dogs on leash" sign we saw numerous dogs running loose within just a few minutes. Some of these chased the local wildlife including several deer and a large pelican resting on the beach. As bird watchers, we were enjoying watching this beautiful bird until a large dog almost got it. The owners seemed to think this was very funny. The only dog we saw on a leash was when one of the park staff took a leashed dog from the office to the playground area to defecate and it was not picked up after. We saw several dogs defecating and no one cleaning up, even right on the pathways and in the playground area.
The location is awesome and it is great to see some work being done to preserve the shoreline and natural plants.
Beautiful grassy area, great beach access, very friendly staff. Not my cup of tea as far as style of camping though - felt a bit like an RV park.
Great spot for family fun.
A delightful little Park to walk the dogs and have a picnic
Beautiful beach rain or shine
A beautiful beach to explore!
Great place to camp and only 15 bucks a night
We love walking the beach, picking up shells and interesting rocks. It's quiet down here, no other people.
This place is a gem for day use and campers alike. It seems like it's not well known, so we recommend it to all our friends. The huge heart made of driftwood on the beach is quite gorgeous!
The beach and the view are lovely but the campground is nothing special. Mostly a dirt parking lot. Only a few spots are treed. Most are side-by-side Wal-Mart style parking. A great place to spend the night and stroll to see the beach. That’s about it.
Beautiful place to go. Lots of parking and an amazing view.
Really nice spot, fairly basic but everything you need for $15 - clean portaloos, drinking water, table, perfect tent pitching soil, no showers though. Little shop in the Office and not too far to the pub. Amazing views, quiet, Rabbits and a Bald Eagle :)
Some private sites. Cheap rates (late May). Store items like wood, ice were cheap. Right on the water front. A bit out of the way, but just minutes to the ferry. Large lawn area.
Wonderful place great staff
Nice spot for Tcc practice with Dan-no ... :-) h
Quiet beach and park with beautiful uninterupted views across the inlet..
Like everywhere, the view is spectacular.
Great sandy beach, easy walk from campsite.
Quiet yet close to airport.
Beautiful spot. The have RV spots, but no hooks ups and you'll have to book ahead too, but 100% worth it.
A nice hidden gem, off the beaten path.
Nice view. Watch for low flying aircraft
Nice and clean
Small, but beautiful park. Dogs must be on leash. Really enjoy the peacefulness of this place and listening to the sound of the ocean in quiet. Hope the summer doesn't bring too many people and ruin the experience.
Great little campsite with a variety of unserviced sites from private trees to shoulder to shoulder style camping. Day use area as well. Hosts are amazing, helpful and informative with a cute store that unfortunately takes cash only for goodies. Beach is very Canadian and needs a good pair of water shoes for you and your pets to enjoy with lots of barnacles down by the water when it's low tide. Great place. Recommend giving it a try!
Small park with camping and store. Outhouses for facilities. Short walk to the beach with a lovely view.
Nature at its best
Beautiful views.
Beautiful , breathtaking
Love the kids park, hard to find a steel slide and a merry-go-round anymore, but they are far superior to the modern kids parks
Great beach with some sandy spots for digging, nice little playground with teeter totters, slide, and swings. Some ground Hornets buzzing around but a great couple hours with a very happy 3 year old.
I like this place. Good to go with family.
Nice clean well maintained park. Trails to walk around . Great beach walk , a few driftwood huts on the beach . Gazebo with picnic tables . Picnic tables in the field . Good playground area for the kids , with swings ,merry-go-round and climbing bars . Tennis court with basketball hoops . Tenting under the trees . Big field area for RVs and areas in the trees . Fresh water tap . Store area in the office for those little treats you forgot . Really enjoyed this park
A Great place for camping or just hanging out.
Nice natural area
Nice views and cheap camping.
My girlfriend and I stayed at King Beach for two days just recently and enjoyed it immensely. The camping spot that was assigned to us was perfect. It was an out of the way spot that gave us complete privacy and protected us from the wind that was gusting quite strongly. Also, the gentleman at the office was super friendly and helpful and we enjoyed listening to his stories of what it was like running this camp ground over the past three years. I guarantee that you won't be disappointed staying here and will have some good memories and stories to share with your friends and families.
Nice and quiet. Relaxing.
Beautiful coast views
Off the main route campground that is priced very reasonable. Beautiful views from the beach.
Great campground! Really nice people who run it, and beautiful spot. We stayed in the wooded area and loved it! Beach was awesome too! The panoramic view of mountains in the sunset is jawdropping. If you have a fishing license and check the regulations, there's plenty of clams on the beach too ^_:
I am disabled and had a wonderful time. So beautiful and peaceful. I felt totally comfortable staying on my own in the evening. Great place for everyone
Good place to camp.
Great play ground
Great place to explore especially with bicycles. The air forever museum is a good place to spend some time on a rainy day. Seal Bay is good for the touring around on bikes. Although there is no Sami dump at Kin beach, you can dump at the camp site next door for$3.00(Air Force Beach).
Quiet! Not much for walking due to the rocky shoreline, but it's a pleasant Vista of the coast mountains on the mainland. It also can sometimes be sheltered from the breeze, depending on wind direction. Small,. pleasant park with some playground equipment for kids and a covered picnic facility. Campgrounds adjacent... pleasantly small.
Beautiful location, with 2 covered fire pits and picnic tables. The playground equipment needs a lot of TLC, but if you're mainly there for the beach then it's a great spot.
We were lucky to find a place to sleep. We arrived super late and didn’t really get to see much but everything seemed very clean. I don’t like using pit toilets but it didn’t smell and it was clean. The park is situated by the water so you can get a water view from your site. There is little to no privacy as it’s pretty open.
Fantastic place
Close to town, relaxing, beach is rocky, clean, out houses, potable water, garbage bins. We usually head far out for camping, it was nice to be so close to town. Our son loved the airplanes going over head
Lovely area.
Very clean and super fun
Great little area to bring the kids
Just went there to cool off
One of my favourite places in the valley
Close walk to edge of ocean/has very rocky beach though Like a forestry site Close to Comox and Courtenay
I love Kin Beach, the people that run it are awesome, I highly recommend this beautiful campground. ❤️????
We camp here multiple times a year absolutely love it!!!!
Great campsite. Simple but nice and quiet
Found a great picnic table in the shade. Outhouse quite a ways from day use parking lot. On the ocean with a large driftwood heart on the beach. Sweet for couples pics. Playground for kids.
This place is great for camping. Really enjoyed my time wasted here.
I love this area. Perfect for walking, sight seeing or picnics. This is a good place to go by yourself or with a friend/significant other. Also recommend for families as it has a nice playground and tennis courts and basketball nets. Camping, plus the office has a few snacks and drinks available for purchase. I only gave it a 4 star because I was disappointed in the rocky beach as I prefer sand. My grandchildren thought it was great for exploring all kinds of small creatures from grass hoppers to small crabs etc...????
Our favourite little local campground for our Boler! Quiet, small, lovely grassy area, beautiful public beach with walkway, friendly, nice local cycling nearby, a little piece of heaven. Like camping used to be (down to the old slide and merry-go-round for the kiddies) plus the added bonus of being able to buy an ice cream at night if you just HAVE to have it :)
Amazing view !
Neil was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the area . Very clean sites .
I had to sleep here because there was no place left around town to go. Vancouver Island sucks.
Gorgeous right on the water with lots of greenspace
Love this Beach. Hidden Jem.
Kin beach speaks for itself. A gorgeous place to relax, pray, meditate or do any kind of outdoor activities. The tall big trees and each individual shapes are meaningful and as you see it closely you will find them interesting. Love Prophet Ramona
Super friendly office staff. That's really gold find helpfully people like this!
Beautiful place.
Lots of green space and playground for the kids and of course the beach
Wonderful small campground right on the ocean. Some sites in the trees others more out in the flat area. A little store with goodies and things that we all forget once and awhile. Neil and Shilo, the camp hosts are amazing! Warm and friendly people that really want you to enjoy yourself, and go that extra mile to make sure you do! We were lucky enough to watch the Snowbirds practice 3 times and on the last afternoon we watched an F18 go through its paces. Highly recommend. It's dry camping so don't expect water/sewer/elect hook ups. Lots of Sun so solar is best.
We are staying here now they're absolutely amazing the place is very respectful the campers are very quiet and it is very beautiful here I took a picture of a sunset and then I edited it a bit
It was assume
Not saying anything good at the risk of tooant people flocking there lol
Was not there. Only drove by!!
Very peaceful and relaxing at a beautiful location
The shelter is a nice option. Picnic table available and parking.
Well kept, easy access, beautiful view. Kids playground, picnic tables, benches.
Nice place for a each walk!!!
Beautiful setting friendly host, no service though
Really nice place to walk, a few benches and a sweet structure made of driftwood in shape of heart for a sea side wedding. Has bbq and picinic sote, small playground for little ones. Provincial CD ampsite as well. Easy walk along Astra Rd little traffic. I recommend this place
Beautiful beach! Super quiet.
Rustic, quiet & beautiful
Great for camping and even visiting
For a class C park...this was awesome! Very clean...well ordered..great people. Will be back!
Place is very quiet even though there's lots of people camping. Lots of outhouses though there isn't really a place to shower (unless you bring an RV or camper trailer). You can pitch a tent anywhere by the trees overlooking the water. Overall, this is a great place for a quick outdoor experience.
Beautiful Place
Very smoky today
Cute spot
Awesome park walk on beach stay at campsites 15 bucks what a deal
Lovely spot and nice people running it. Only downfall is that the airport is super close to a few of the spots, so if you think the noise would bother you, try to stay on the opposite side and it shouldn't be a problem.
Lovely smaller campground. The folks managing the property are doing a great job keeping the property looking nice and very welcoming on arrival. Facilities are minimal but very clean. Nice work Kin Beach folks!!!
Nice place. Beautiful beach..
So close to town but away from it all. Cheap camping too!
Beautiful and peaceful little spot, it would be wonderful for picnics and camping.
A nice park to relax.
One of my favorite places.
Beautiful park and beach! Quite rocky so watch the littles. You can sit, enjoy the peace and watch the Comox-Little River ferry go by.
Beautiful park with full view of snow capped mountains in the background. Only downside is if you were camping(I was only there for the day), there is the airport right behind the beach, making for some distractions. All in all, beautiful. ????
Great place to camp and walk.
Place is fire ????
