This was a fantastic place to go sledding. Be aware there are no washrooms or shelters. Just an old ski hill beside a road, but there is a small lot, and if you get there early enough you will find decent parking close to the hill. There are smaller hills at the base, perfect for kids/parents who don't want to trek up the hillside, but there are longer runs too. A narrow one straight up from where you park and one to the right, through a wide trail. It got busier as the day progressed. We saw lots of cross country skiers, a snow boarder, and quite a few people snowshoeing. It was a bit foggy that day, but was told the views are spectacular on clear days.

Fun climb, gorgeous views, delicious wild blue berries when in season. If you don't exercise often, I don't recommend. I saw girls crying on the way up. Other than that it was wonderful.

True raw beauty. And close enough to take the others along. ????

Former site of Forbidden Plateau Ski Resort, with ruins and remains of the abandoned lodge and ski lifts. Forbidden Plateau itself is actually at the top of the old ski runs and can only be accessed by hiking up the old ski runs. A beautiful place with great parking. Note: photos not mine, but credits would be appreciated.

Graded stone road, washboard in spots. A car can handle it. Great vista's on the way

it's a little out of the way and mostly you just go for tobogganing but it's a beautiful view of the ocean while sliding down the hill :)

Went for a hike on mother's Day. Did not expect to find snow! Weather was warm and the snow kept us cool. What a perfect hike. Went for a hike on mother's Day. Did not expect to find snow! Weather was warm and the snow kept us cool. What a perfect hike.

This is a beautiful place to start out a day hike or to push further into strathcona park. We did some snowshoeing here and it was quite beautiful.

(Translated) a strange place, with a promising name, but dotted with the ruins of ski resorts, downed chairlift poles ... basically a kind of ghost ski resort, where nature has not yet had time to cover the remains of abandoned human activities.

Came backcountry skiing here. It's a good way to access Strathcona park, particularly if you're headed to mt. Becher.

Spacious, tree covered spots, nice views, plenty hikes around, but mainly a legendary customer service and friendly approach!! Definitely coming for a winter experience as well! Thanks a lot, Mack!!

Shawn Wilson

Great hike with amazing views. It gets fairly snowy during the winter making it more difficult. It's not the hardest hike but it can get fairly steep in parts, small children up to your discretion.

Bit of a party spot but there’s som great views and it’s really accessible.

A beautiful and quiet place, when we visited in September. As I understand it's a bit crowded in the first 2km, and than the trail gets quieter.

This is great. We stayed over at the Camping Resort run by Mack. He's super chill and super friendly. Hikes seem great but the mountain biking looks outstanding. We just did the hiking tho. Really cool spot, worth checking out.

Accessible walking with longer duration options (lots of boardwalk). Beautiful alpine meadow & lots of wild flowers. Incredibly busy on the weekend and the boardwalks feel a little skinny, especially during covid times!
