This place is full of mysteries and riddles, there is just so much character here. I came here twice in February 2020, and they are only open on weekends during winter. A wonderful volunteer guide told me some of the tales this house holds. Rick, I think his name, was just so inspired by this house. Tours are available. It was a sunny day so the park was just stunning. And the ocean view is just legendary. My whole vision of Comox was transformed and expanded after this visit. This place is a treasure.

Brian Neal

Such a cool heritage area.

Rahul Menon

An amazing park situated near downtown Comox littered with wild deer. They have a petting zoo which seems to be a hit with the kids. For the adults, this park plays host to various festivals and even an eatery on the weekends where I'm told they serve beer (haven't verified this for myself). What draws me to this place time and again is the peaceful serenity it exudes. There are park benches located in out of the way yet ideal spots where one can meditate or simply relax till their cares melt away. All in all, a great place to while away a few hours whether you have company or alone.

Filberg Park in Comox, B.C. is gorgeous anytime, but on a brilliantly sunny day in February, it is magnificent and calming simultaneously. The sun reflecting off the ocean and the not-too-distant, snow-capped mountains provide the perfect backdrop for the historic lodge and grounds. I don't go there enough.

Summers can get pretty hot in the Comox Valley, and what better place to stay cool than in Filberg Park. The lovely shady effects of all those big trees planted many decades ago by the lady of the Filberg household provides a lovely summery but cooler atmosphere. Many of the trees have been marked with a name, so it's also a great way to brush up on your arbour knowledge. There's a lovely Tea Garden Facility in the Park too - an ideal place to take visitors for a quick bite or drink with a view over the estuary and Goose Spit. Be prepared to share the place with the local deer :)

René Cusson

This place is gorgeous. It was once the property belonging to a forest industry family who penned a logging company on the area. There are beautiful gardens. It is a popular site for weddings, festivals, family gatherings and, simply, a walk in the park.

Anne Chorneyko

Filberg park is a lovely oceanside, historical park with a interesting history. Throughout8 the year there are numerous events held on the park grounds. Most famous being the Filberg Festival at the beginning of August. Where you'll find fantastic food vendor's, listen to a variety of music genre's, meet artisans and possibly purchase their creations. The park itself is a NO DOG ZONE, including dog's leashed, held & or in dog strollers. Probably best to leave your dog('s) at home, particularly if temperatures are nearing the 20 Celsius mark or above.. But ...if you do need to leave pet's in a vehicle, PLEASE make sure the all windows are rolled down enough for cross ventilation to keep the vehicle cool, make sure your pup has a drinkable water source, park in the shade & check on your pet frequently, THANK YOU. The park has flowered lined pathways, vine entrenched gazebos, shaded picnic tables, public washrooms, herds of deer. IT'S a gorgeous intown park that is volunteer run. In the summer months there is petting zoo on the grounds, plus you can tour the picturesque historical homestead. Closer to the ocean is a lovely little tea shop with delicious treats & a good cup of tea.
