The staff were AMAZING. They were so friendly, and cared about our experience. The wine blew me away, and I am not usually a wine guy. Everything about that place screams care and quality. From the blueberrys to the corn to the wine. Everything we got, and everyone we talked to SOLD me on this place. We will definitely comeback often.

Nothing compares to you - Coastal Black ;-) I was more excited to be here for your pumpkin festival than Raina (who's only 3 yrs old.) LOL. The displays are creative, charming & dance with colour; the property is huge - corn maze labyrinth, farm animals, country music, fire pit etc etc-- there isn't even enough good things to say about this experience & I am 55 years old. I don't want to give it all away but it's definitely worth taking the family ...& festive for couples too. Just brilliant. A must see. Go early, parking is tight.

Such a nice place, the fire oven baked pizza is amazing and the wine tasting is delicious with Local foods and beer. Came here for me and my girlfriends anniversary and we both loved it!

Awesome, we come here every time we visit and load up on honey and beverages ????

It's a really nice place but it is getting too expensive to go and enjoy the activities as well. I love the trebuchet but way too over priced for what you get out of it. 5$ dollars for a slice of pie when the same pie is 6$ at Costco. Ouch no thanks

Russell James

Trying the new Raspberry/apple and Blacberry/apple ciders. It's always fun to taste new stuff and buy a few of our favorites. Try the Meads too.

Virginia's Soap-Deli

Went for the Pumpkin Fest. Outstanding! $6 each to get in - helpful and friendly from the parking to the food to the all the activities. Wonderful fun - plan on spending 3 to 4 hours to take in bay bale maze, corn maze, pumpkin trebuchet, eats and wine tasting.

Very good wines and mead though I find their sparkling blackberry table wine a bit syrupy. Excellent service and the staff is very knowledgeable. Everything is clean and well organized. Prices are reasonable for the quality.

Coastal Black is a diamond in the rough. Fun for all, extremely well thought out and with a stellar reputation for quality locally produced vegetables, honey, and wine just to name a few. Thanks for the memories.

Such a great socially distanced family event! They did a great job creating some magic for the kids while giving people so much room to move around and be part of the fun. Their pumpkins were beautiful and lots to choose from. The kids loved and we will definately be back. Well done Coastal Black you did great!

Place to go for family photos for Halloween and Thanksgiving lots of pumpkins beautiful big Panda knowing what you want but awesome definitely place to check out for the whole family or the kids or just the grandkids or Grandma and Grandpa and the kids check it out for sure

When I went there, they were having a gala paid event which had been sold out weeks before and shut down 3 out of 4 of the other vinyards (so-called) in the Comox valley. Don't rely on the website. Call ahead, and if you don't get a human being, don't expect things to be copacetic.

We recently held our 2021 YANA Big Love Benefit and want to thank you for your generous donation of a Private Tour and Tasting for Six People. The Comox Valley has embraced the concept that it takes a community to raise a child. We are grateful for Coastal Black Estate Winery's donation which helped create a memorable evening and a successful fundraiser. Thank you on behalf of YANA (You Are Not Alone) Comox Valley Board of Directors

Stumbled upon this place while out on the bike. Ciders and picnic plate were perfect seated beside the giant bird cage if you close your eyes you feel like your on vacation and not just down the street from the house. AMAZING highly recommended

The beautiful pumpkin patch. Every fall Coastal black opens the fields and lets the public in. There's a corn maze!! Good place to take your family for an outing and pick up your Halloween pumpkin. They also do wine, honey and bees wax candles. Cool place and worth checking out if you haven't been.

Our friend said we had to stop in and get a box of their frozen blueberries because “they are the best”. We knew the winery would be closed for winter hours, but as soon as we arrived and got our berries, we were met with a smiling face offering to open the doors and let us sample the wine. Well of course we had to buy a bottle of everything g we tried. We will definitely be back again and again.

Emily Mcfarlane

We came here for the pumpkin patch! It exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful time with our 2 year old! We rode the wagon ride, petted the animals, ran through the field, enjoyed pumpkin bowling, danced to the live band, drank warm apple cider, stomped through the pumpkin fields and climbed towers of pumpkins! Highly recommend this family friendly day out!

Pumpkins and Wine in the same spot! Lots of stuff for the kiddos to do too

Pumpkin festival is the best. So great! So many families enjoying the afternoon. Thank you.

Brittany Grozell

This is a great spot! They have a lovely outdoor space for tastings, host Pumpkin Fest in the fall (a must-do date option, or family fun day), and a little shop for Big Dee's Bees.

I was there on a Thursday with my family. We were camping in the area and I was excited to check the place out as I had heard good things about their sparkling blackberry wine in particular. While driving there I was reassured by a sign at the corner of Endall Road proclaiming that they were open. However, when I got there I saw that this was not the case. It says on the door of the tasting room that they are closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Some honey was for sale on the property, so we bought a few jars, and were looking around a bit when a lady (presumably one of the owners) came up to us and asked very rudely what we were doing there. After telling her, she glared at me and said "the winery isn't open on Thursdays" and walked away. If Coastal Black doesn't want customers (?!), they shouldn't falsely advertise that they are open. They also might want to find someone who's a little more cheerful to deal with the public.

Free wine tasting, picnic lunches, pleasant atmosphere. All berry wines no grapes on site. We enjoyed our visit and the wine. Cheers!

Their Pumpkin Fest was great! Lots of stuff for everyone. Their cider and wine are not my taste, but fun time with the family.

Not Wheelchair Friendly. You state you are. But Very steep, and on gravel & bark mulch. Lovely place though. Lots of surprises. Either lay down cement, or wood, or plastic sheet trails. My client could not be pushed at all in his wheelchair.

Myself, wife and three small children were charged $60 to get on to the farm, for pumpkin fest where we then find out that everything else on the property costs more money. We had a hard time finding any pumpkins that were not rotten, and they wanted $12 each for them. We then tried to pay for the pumpkins and their machine wouldn’t work so-after multiple failed attempts we had to leave them there and noticed that they decide to no longer charge people to get on to the farm, making us feel like we were ripped off .What a waste of money and the worst experience. We paid $60 to walk in mud and had the saddest little kids who then went to superstore to get a pumpkin each.
