Beautiful quiet roadside spot to look out over the estuary and towards the Comox Glacier, Courtenay and Cumberland. There is a small covered area for birdwatching in inclement weather. On the open wooden platform there is a picnic bench which is a lovely spot to enjoy morning coffee. From the lookout you will usually observe a variety of wildlife including: herons, eagles, swans, seals, ducks, deer, crows and many other birds, fish and insects. This is a great spot for photographers and artists who want to paint en plein air. There are only a handful of parking spaces.

Great place to have your lunch and watch nature go by. Will be neat to see how this will fit on to the plan of reclaiming the land. They should build a board walk around the area.

Beautiful place. I stopped in to have breakfast at the park bench. There were picnic tables right on the viewing platform.

Nice view of the Courtenay estuary on the platform and at the parking space on the end. There are picnic tables, and a garbage can there as well. Platform can be accessed by stairs or wheelchair accessible ramp. One end of the platform is a covered gazebo/viewing area (where the one and only garbage receptacle is located), the rest is open air space/viewing. Fairly large parking area.

As far as bird watching platforms go, this one's a beaut! The actual story is that we had to take our cat to be put down. We were almost a full hour before our time so we sat in the car with our cat overlooking the estuary and watching the birds. It was a beautiful way to spend some time. I will go back to take it in on a happier day.

Just a platform but good for eagle spotting and lovely views. Small car park and nothing else.

A nice place to sit and think. Make sure to bring some headphones with your favourite chill tunes though, the traffic noise is very much a reality. Seldom used spot so some alone time can often be found here. Mind the bicycle thieves however, lock your car as they will go through it with you watching the water.
