Constant construction but the waterfront is a nice stroll with scenic views of the city.
Shops, giant observation while, scenic near to old Montreal streets, are must places to visit if you are visiting Montreal. Check out the respective season and timings of operations, there will be on and off the seasons.
Old Montréal is something else! The way the old architecture blends with the new infrastructures is truly fascinating. Un plaisir pour les yeux!
One of my favourite place in Montreal. There are historical buildings not far from the port, felt like in Europe! It's very romantic to walk there ♥️ Especially in evening ????????????
One of the most amazing experiences ever . Go with someone special and do a ride on the observatory its 20 minutes and also the walk on the port is a experience in itself . Good luck and have a amazing day ????
The "vieux-Port" is full of history and touristy places. The church , the port, very nice indeed
Great place to relax, take a walk and just enjoy the city. There are also a variety of activities to do here.
Always a great place to walk about. Flowing or frozen the St. Lawrence River is a part of Montréal you can’t miss and hence the Old Port.
Old Port is the place to be in Montreal Canada. ???? Lots of tourist attractions. The streets were buzzing with activites. Biking, runners, spa on the canal. Zip lining, concerts. People visiting the science center. Bride to be taking photos. I enjoyed walking around and trying different ice creams. There were many food trucks around as well. As I walked around, I noticed that some people were setting up for a circus. It was really just relaxing and fun walking around Old Port. Most people were wearing mask outside or maintaining a distance. I was wearing my mask too.
Beautiful place but the Ferris wheel should be open till the time posted. We reached at 10:20pm and were not allowed to enter even though the opening hours on internet were thill 11pm.
Looks beautiful at night, specially for a walk. Ferris wheel was nice touristy thing to do. Given the covid situation, people have been managing things so well!
Beautiful and a very romantic place with Old Montreal situated right near that area.
Such a nice place to go for a walk or bike around. The autumn is breathtaking with all the wonderful color foliage. Highly recommend, there’s lots to do around this area, so many cafes, restaurants and even a place to zip line and wheel of fortune.
Nice part of the city to go, spend time around and enjoy. Lots of activities to do, places to visit and chill. You can easily spend a day while exploring things around old port of montreal.
When history meets modern city it becomes the old part of Montreal! Beautiful place to hang around in summer and or in winter depending on your inclination and your tolerance for snow and cold but nevertheless beautiful all around the year!
What a day!! Come early as crowds of people love coming and seeing the cobblestone roads and the horse drawn carriages. Notre Dame Basilica close by historic location and historic hotels and shops. The old port has a huge ferris wheel and paddle boats to rent. A crazy zipline over water and a absolutely stunning area for the kids to lose their minds. There is an inflatable section for the tiny kids and an area with pirate ships to channel your inner monkey for bigger kids and adults too. Just make sure you are in shape and not scared of heights. You can also rent quad bicycles to tour the old port at your own leasure but it is kinda pricey at $70 for an hour. Lots of performers with crazy acts love in the streets. Restaurants galore with a hidden gem...Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop. Almost everyone that I spoke to that was working in the area all seemed to love their jobs and were very pleasant. Loved every minute....
Awesome port with breathtaking views! Summer adds the fun to the outing at old port. I'll suggest to take water with you as it's difficult to find there. Lots of Bixi and tricycles to try. Good place for weekend fun. Parking is flat $25 for 8-10 hrs.
Nice central location. Plentiful parking, 4plus hours is 25 dollars. You can reach many places by foot. We did not find public bathrooms. It does not they are not there but they were not obvious.
Amazing place.. breathtaking views of City.. A place where people from all ages can enjoy. I really liked the giant wheel, views of City from wheel, cartoon projections on walls, street plays, bicycling around city. Great place to eat street food, sit and relax.
Booked trip thru Expedia, arrived at the port to find my paid tickets of 3 people weren't valid since ' The company no longer partner with Expedia'. I was very disappointed how the manager handled the situation and aggressively, very dismissive at that as if I was responsible to have known that their partnership with Expedia no longer existed due to covid and she took no accountability as a leader to own this issue but to tell me they must have not switched off the option not to have guests book thru Expedia?!?!?! Had to buy new tickets for my family and if it were not for my hubby's 50th birthday, I was ready to walk away. This experience with the manager put a damper on the cruise and will not return when am back in Montreal.
The Old Port of Montreal is a must see if you're visiting the city! We went with 4, and enjoyed shopping, a ferris wheel, delicious food and many other small fun event areas. Such as a escape room etc. It is absolutely gorgeous, there is a ton of beautiful pictures waiting for amateur and veteran photographers, tons of culture, cafes shops and beautiful architecture. I'll leave it at that however, it is best to explore on your own. But I will add that you will not regret taking a stroll down the harbour. It is esquisite!
It'd one of the most beautiful places in the city. Definitely must visit. ☺
Great place for walk and for spending the evenings
One of the highlights of my trip. Multiple amazing cafes, some great shops and boutiques. Do not miss out going to the Cathedral! They do a light show some nights ($40) that is worth every cent. Go up the Clock Tower, do not chicken out, the vies from a top are amazing! Additionally ride the Ferris Wheel at night as everything is lit up its just majestic.
Beautiful place to walk or sit at waterfront. City side always has festive ambience whereas waterfront is calm.
Full of activities and a nice view!
It is a beautiful place with so many options to have fun with family, friends, alone. To sum it up it has something for all. Parking is bit steep $25 , but I can't imagine anything lesser for a parking in core downtown, you maybe lucky to find street parking in the opposite lanes. Plenty of places for good food and it houses an IMAX theater within the science center as well. All in all a great place to visit.
This is a great place to spend an afternoon and walk along the port. There is a lot to see and even more people to people-watch. We enjoyed the fountains and took a nice reprieve from the heat in the shade of a tree overhanging a nice bench. This is a great place to visit if you're looking for a nice, relaxing way to spend a day vacationing around Montreal.
One of my favourite places of Montreal. There's always something going on. It's very touristy here, but locals also come here to enjoy the festivals during summer. Poutine fest, Rib fest, Asian street food fest...it also has great balance of modernism and history. One thing is that if you're looking for a good restaurant in this area, I would look somewhere further.
Majestic Montreal! Something for everyone! Enjoy it to the M@X!
Old port Montreal is the most happening place and a must see!
always so fun bunch of activities to do in every season
A great place and great view. Loved it. One of the best spots in Montreal.
Great place. Wish I came here more often.
Must see when visiting Montréal! Good place to park if wanting to walk around old Montreal also. Very large parking lot there. Many things to do and see right there also.
Most beautiful, with lots to do and see. A visit to the Basilica, and a walk through the old city is must. A walk on the cobbled stones behind the basilica would lead you to the old port and its many shops and artisans. A one hour boat ride, will provide some educational experience regarding the history and the surrounding buildings.
Must go visit place.. especially in the evening..see the pictures..a lot of fun stuff to do.. kids .. families.. couples.. single.. doesn't matter every one will have fun.. try Zipline and cruise ship in the evening.. great choices of restaurants and pubs.. artist sketching you live.. music shows .. projections on all the buildings..
Took the kids to enjoy some fun activities as walking the streets was not on the top of their list. Nice little shops and a train ride sure was fun. They had a climbing structure for older children and a bouncy pirate ship. Lots of things for kids and family fun. Food trucks line the walk with great options.
Went during Christmas. It's a must go place however it felt nothing like Christmas. There's a parking lot with tons of spaces right on the port (costs $15 for an hour); however if you are looking for a cheaper spot, I found a ton of empty spots around the place.
Although the tourism industry is suffering a great deal during this Pandemic, the locals are appreciating these unusual moments of calm. The wintery colorful scene shines through without distraction. This is such a rare moment...take it in before things get back to normal.
Probably one of my top favorite places to visit in Montreal even as a local. There's always something new going on and it's a nice long walk for visitors and tourists. The views are great and you can capture a lot of pictures featuring the ferris wheel the St Lawrence and the old cobblestone walkways
Amazing city view, they need window maintenance on regular basis to have better view.
Great port and history of the port as well as the city is documented and displayed well. Fun family activities and good views and dining options.
Love this place. Love to take a walk there specially on fridays and saturdays. Filled with lights and colors!!
Old port is lovely spot, busy, crowded full of energy in summer . All the good vibes and the activities you can find ,from zip Line , Bota Bota spa place . Terrace bonsecours Club famous places can any one enjoy . Music ???? every where, Nice restaurants , can’t get enough from it . I love the day of international fireworks in the weekends for different countries.
Chill place. Food trucks. Kids bounce house. Zip line. Ferris wheel ????. Green spaces. Outdoor club. Biking lanes. Tandem biking. Pedaling boats. Lots of stuff to do and love. And in the winter, completely different vibe. New year eve has also a different feel. This place is our family hub when we don't have anything planned for the weekend.
It was chilly and beautiful. There was something about this place which took away all my anxiety instantly. I went to this place each day during my stay in Montreal and still could not get enough of it. Enjoyed the view while quietly sitting with music on my headphone.

Historical and modern place, lot of atraccions in the same place, free wifi, souvenirs store, restaurants, beautiful and fancy spot to take pictures, if you come to Montreal is mandatory do a stop in "Vieux Port Montréal" (Montreal's Old Port)
My first visit to Montreal and had a very nice time. So many fun things to do. A mini train ride for the kids.Zipline was awesome. Clock tower and La Grande Roue was beautiful! Clock tower park has a few picnic tables and is perfect for a picnic with a view of the port!
Great place to visit with family , cycling , fun land , ferris wheel , zip-lining , buskers , roadside weddings , great food places and a whole lot of old world experience, you will love it ????
One of my favourite places in Montreal! I love taking pictures there, bike, walk along the restaurants, shops and enjoy the beauty of the old charming city.
A great place for the family to stroll on a summer evening. Lots of activities for the kids, concerts, zipline, aerial park. Wish we had more time to explore. A must to visit in Montreal. Great European feel to the whole area.
A great way to spend the day! Cobblestone streets, plenty of shops to browse for treats, souvenirs or essentials (umbrella, sweater, maple syrop - yes that’s an essential!). Ride above everyone on a zip line for $20. Cross the walking bridge to the big wheel aka La grande Roue ($70 for a family of 4) or rent a paddle boat. Otherwise you can simply grab a cold drink, put on your sun glasses and check out the vendors along the waterfront!
Great place to hang out at night! It becomes so lively! There is lots to look at from the actual Port to the streets behind it. There are also a ton of different restaurants in the area which is great. Great place for family and friends to explore!
????️????Many bodegas and shops????????⛓️ on pathway. Lots of walking????????♀️renting????????????????♀️ bike is much more convenient in Montreal ???????? popular tourist area
Lovely walk through the Old Port!
Great pedestrian zone. Lots of sites and places to shop and eat. Reasonably priced. Great for all ages and variety of attractions as well.
Must visit this place in summer if you are in Montreal.Attractions include Board walk with shops, food trucks, paddle boats, zip lining, high and low ropes course experience(tickets are available on the spot and line ups are not crazy long usually. Public parking lots are located nearby and charge max $25-$20 per day but you won’t regret it after you explore the place. The parking is cheaper in the inside streets parking lots. After exploring the old port attractions, go across the road walk around. There are more shops in the nearby allies that you don’t wanna miss. There are self-cleaning washrooms located near the old port area that look like an elevator. The washroom are free and get sanitized automatically after each use.
A must visit place in Montreal, which gives a scenic view of old Port along river side. One can also enjoy the bird view of city along Port by riding gaint-wheel situated near the port
Went onto the Ferris-wheel, super nice pictures and videos from the top! Since I was such a beautiful day(Sept. 25), the scenery was amazing and The Port …
It a beautiful historic part of town that is worth exploring. Wandering around the area never disappoints; it's a little bit of Paris closer to home!
Charming place for weekend and evening walking. During summer Circus du Soleil is working here. A lot of food facilities, small shops, the biggest in Canada La Grande Roue de Montréal, a lot of activities for kids. So I love this place very much.
Beautiful place to spend time with your family. Many activities to keep you entertained.
????Very vibrant lots of people. Tons of patios, but you have to make reservations for most of them. very crowded, fun❤
I always loved the old port.. Beautiful marina, walking spaces. Restaurants in the area are generally really good. My go to is the keg but it is pricey. Minimum of 50$ if you get a filet mignon and a drink.
It's a good place to walk around, take pictures and enjoy the beauty of the city and the island of Notre Dame on a 3 lap ride on a big Ferris Wheel. There is also a mini theme park where children and adults can have a lot of fun, ending with a rappel descent to complete the tour circuit. Montreal really is a very beautiful city and this bridge is impressive for its beauty, height and size. It is a postcard of a city that needs to be visited by any tourist. But be careful in the city center as I had my backpack with Drones and notebook stolen while I was having lunch..
Amazing place to be for all types of reasons. Many restaurants, and shops that are worth going. Also, great for a casual walk around.
Always a delight to stroll down to the old port and visit the market area and surrounding architectural treasures.
This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in Montreal. It was sooo cold when we were here but it was sooo worth it. The views were amazing. I always wanted to visit and photograph the Ferris wheel and I got the chance to do so here.
Great view of the city, Jan Drapeau park and old Montreal
The place is amazing beautiful fun romantic lots to see lots to discover Just relax and enjoy the view.
One of the main attractions in the city of Montréal with plenty of activities, restaurants & bars. You can go for a walk and discover cool places while you're drinking a coffee or enjoying a poutine.
Great site to see. The Old Port of Montreal is the historic port of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Located in Old Montreal, it stretches for over two kilometres along the St-Lawrence River in Old Montreal. It was used as early as 1611, when French fur traders used it as a trading post
Very nice area with a big ferris wheel and small shops. Great for a stroll
M/Zipline ???? good food, crowded as always on weekends, but you'll have a great time. Good for couples, families, small and large groups. Lot of activities to do. Good for tourists... Good food, great beer, dessert.. Not too pricey. Some places don't take debit/credit, but only cash so, carry some cash with you.
Simply amazing! Great views on an amazing location. It is reallly nice to walk around Old Port in Montreal. You can feel the essence and spirit of the city just by being there. The SkyWheel is really nice, you also have food trucks and some nice arts and souvenir shops on the way. From there you have an amazing view of the nice buildings of Old Town too. If you are visiting Montreal, you definitely need to go to Old Port
One of the most iconic neighborhoods in Montreal. Great terraces and numerous touristic attractions such as Circle du Soleil shows, tyrolienne, etc.
Such a treat to spend the evening/ afternoon here. Could be just a casual walk by the river or sipping coffee at the most iconic cafes or partaking Zipline while enjoying the view.
Simply amazing to see old French Canadian history and see the historic st Lawrence River, there is alot to do for tourists and anyone looking to relax. There is a zip-line , adventure park , Segways, bicycle cars ,Car2go service and a science centre aswell as parking on the port (25$ for 24 hours ) in walking distance of many beautiful buildings
fun place to relax and family bonding
The Old Port is nice in spring, but not in winter. In the summer it's also nice but it gets too crowded. I really enjoyed the Ferris Wheel. It's a bit expensive but it's worth the ride and its romantic. I went there and I think it made like 4 to 5 really slow turns.. which is pretty good. The old port is the perfect place for romantic night dinners at rooftops/terraces or at the restaurants or morning jogging and biking. You can also enjoy fireworks in the summer!
Great spot to visit as a tourist. It was my third time back and I discover something new every time. Make sure you wear comfy shoes and have your phone charged up to take sweet photos to make your friends jealous.
I love this gorgeous place in Montreal. It is so romantic and it makes me feel like I'm in Paris. They have a gorgeous heated ferris wheel that is super modern and very well constructed for amazing views of the city. Everyone I encounter in Montreal is nothing but nice and helpful, it's a great city for a weekend getaway of you are nearby.
This is definitely a place that youd have to go to earling in the morning because there is just so much to see. The view is great and there are a few activities to do like zip lines, ferris wheel, boat tours/rides, this giant jungle gym looking thing, the montreal science center and more. There are a lot of tourist in this area so everyone basically speaks English, so its not hard to try any of tge activites or ask employees anything you might need to know....this is a great place for families very kid friendly, and there are many places that you can sit down to eat at after.
My experience at the Salvador Dali exhibition was exceptional. To see the 101 watercolours of his as they match Dante's experience through inferno, purgatory, and paradise, felt incredible. One of the people at the Grand Quai was so knowledgeable. Her name was Anika! I can't wait to explore more of these art exhibitions in the future!
I had a chance visiting this place in winters , we did a walk in -9 and let me tell you it was worth spending time in cold weather , this place looks amazing at night with an amazing views
Came in the dead if winter - there were lots of people skating, but I loved how quiet it was! Be careful if it's icy, but from what I hear, it's booming and eventful in the summertime. You can visit the clock tower with a quick 4-minute walk, or also walk inland a bit to take in all of the historical architecture close by! Highly recommend this spot to visit.
Really nice place to out for all ages
Old port Montreal is one of the best city seeing . It is the most important spot at the city Go get pizza and ice cream but never stop walking . Just enjoy the history and smell the ancient times of this city
The most amazing place in Montreal. If you are here don’t miss it out. There are a lot of things to do here like giant wheel, boating, food trucks, dine with a view etc. Also you can rent a bike from Bixi station nearby and go around with the bike that would make the trip worth while. There are a lot of museums and monuments around to see. Also if you are interested there is a zip line which you can try if you are looking for something adventurous.
Beautiful place, but sad to see so many shops and restaurants are closed...
Interesting part of Montreal. It has an old world feel. Not nearly as interesting as Old Quebec City, but still worth a day trip.
Excellent place, very huge and gigantic open space . Lot of parking plots available. What a view ,
Montreal Vieux-Port is 16 mns walking from home. Great fun for the kids… lots of attraction and the view from la Grande Roue is great. Definitely going to be one of my favourite spot on Sunday morning.
Beautiful view Perfect place to have a coffee on a bench with this view (During a nice weather of course)
A must visit if you happen to be in Montreal. This old post is teeming with life in the summer time. In the Winter, nature transformed it into a sort of Winter wonderland but received scant visitors due to the city's frigid temperature. Still, it's a photographer's paradise during the winter time. The eerie tranquil landscape is a marvel in still photograph.
Have a good walk on a sunny weekend
Visited Montreal for two days and went to the old port area including the piers. Family took a ride on ferris wheel. Got family rate of about 71cad. After we visited the shops alongside the piers and went to the playground area. There is a Zipline but passed on that. Walking back to downtown we visited some shops but a lot were closed. One thing I Iove about Montreal is plenty of spaces to sit down outdoors
It's an awesome place... I went to ice skating and loved it... We'll spent time
Beautiful spot in the city. Great for daily run or for picnics with friends and family.
Amazing place to visit, specially in the morning to avoid the crowds. You can get here by bike (my fav) car, bus, metro. Of course at night is pretty amazing with lights on but I little chilly cause of the wind. However, fun place to visit to walk around and enjoy the view.
Beyond it being a tourist attraction, it's also a great place for a jog in the morning, or just a stroll by the water.
Had a nice time walking around Old Montreal and the Old Port. There are so many things to see as well as attractions. Not to mention that in the summer there is festival upon festival all the time. It’s definitely a place that gets two thumbs up from me. Even if you have nothing to do, there is always something going on in this area.
Had a fantastic time. Very European like. Good to walk around, lots of food options and ample cuisines to try out. Great place to spend the entire evening.
Nice spots to take pictures, the ambient it's really nice and quiet.
Lovely place to walk around and enjoy with friends and/or family. Even if you want to come by yourself, there is so much to see and do. There are many food places, little shops and activities to do. The scenery is wonderful and the place is always lively!
Well worth the wait. Must have patience to do these attractions. Great views at night and clean for the most part.
Adjacent to Place Jacques-Cartier, Vieux-Port is a great spot to spend some time and walk around. There were food trucks during the time we visited. You’ll find activities such as tne zipline, the ferris wheel and paddle boating. The ‘ J’ai MTL’ sign is also located there!
One of my favorite places in the city. Love the tight streets. Always beautifully decorated for the seasons. Activities and shows year round. Love the new additions of the Ferris wheel. Aesthetically pleasing. Lots of activities. A bit pricey some of them. Good bars and restaurants around.
Old Port of Montreal is beautiful. We walked around during sundown (mid-July) and it was upbeat and lively. There's entertainment and rides, plenty of spots to catch some nice photos, and lots of great food spots if you can find it. This is definitely a must-visit when in Montreal.
While doing the walking tour in the Old Montreal, you are already near the Old Port of Montreal. This is a must do, especially during the evening, yet kids would enjoy it during the day time. My favorite time is towards the evening. The place is so relaxing and recommended for a walk. You could also sit and enjoy the fabulous view. Must do.
Lots of great cafés and restaurants
I loved the artificial water reservoir here. Amazing view and boating space. There also bridge for walking which has good height and above the water. Enjoyed this one so much!
There are great views and things to do in the old port (jet skiing, cruises, zip lining, skating, science center exhibits). Friendly locals and lots of historical sites: WW1 memorial, point of contact between settlers and the indigenous people of Tio'TiaKe.
Very beautiful and peaceful. Food was also good.
Great place for an afternoon or evening walk with your loved one. La grande roule de Montreal is highly recommended, great scenery from above.
Must see for tourists, many attractions for all ages, and variety of restaurants in all price ranges
It was my first time in this area. We were attending a protest and it was the perfect venue for the event. I'm looking forward to visiting this area in summertime as a tourist rather than a protestor.
Cold but enjoyable walk by the water.
It is really a nice place to walk! Make sure to go there by public transport as parking is crazy expensive! Very livefull. You can take a blanket to lay down on the grass! I take one star away because they are renting big bikes with 4 places and people drive them like crazy in the crowd. Also, do not go to the Ferris wheel biggest tourist trap ever. 54$ for 2 adults lmao
This place was so beautiful even with the crazy weather! There is a paid parking lot if you want to get close to the tower (which lead you to a great view) or you can park on the street close by and walk through
Looks of people so you have to wait a while for the rides and activities. But everything there is very clean, great for families. Very kid friendly and overall great place to have so fun and enjoy the outdoors ????
Quaint little part of Montreal to go visit. We enjoyed walking along the water, by the ferris wheel and the panoramic views from the docks. Definitely worth going to, especially just seeing the surrounding area.
It's a nice place to walk around in the summer's as it has small park nearby and good sight to chill out, and many even places to eat nearby. And some activities to do as well, when it is open. Not to go now due to covid , as everything is closed.
Had a great evening blast night at the Taco Fest. The lineups were long but the food, drink and churros were fantastic! The DJ and band made the atmosphere electric. Great evening with family too.
It's better to walk around and take time to look. So many things to look at. The community's vibe is amazing. Notre dame Basilica is a must go, even if you're not religious.
Plenty of activities for the whole family. Museum, zipline, big wheel, labrynth, food trucks, inflatable play structures and some street vendors.
Lively and well maintained.....although there is ongoing work on the cobblestones along Rue St. Paul. Addition of Ropes park and Zipline along the waterfront as well as boxcar shops has really livened up the area.
It’s a great spot for a stroll. Lovely views of the St. Lawrence and Downtown. The shops along the boardwalk give it a nice touch. Ziplines, rowboats, and other fam friendly activities here make it a crowd fave. One thing that seriously irritates me though, are the train tracks that cut you off from entering. Especially if there’s a painfully slow train passing through like what I just saw a few minutes ago. That was at least a 15-20 minute wait. This kind of shoddy planning also exists in my home city of London, Ontario and I’ve always detested it. Apart from that, it’s a delightful place.
Would say one of the main attractions in Quebec. Awesome ambience spending time here. Beautiful and adorable views. Get a high view from the giant wheel and shoot your adrenaline via zipline. Yolo
Nice place, the old port of Montreal.
Un incontournable, été comme hiver! So many great things to do (alone or with friends and family). There is plenty of delicious restaurants to try, great picnik spots by the water, live music, art galleries, family activities like “voiles en voiles” (which is like the pirate version of arbraska) zip lining, big wheel, science center, spa bota bota on the water, the quai, the beach.... and the list goes on and on. For my sportifs friends out there there’s even a sick calisthenics park 5 minutes away. Have fun!
Feels very European but still with a Canadian twist... Worth a visit if you are in the city!
I've been visiting Montreal for decades. Literally, I've walked Old Montreal several times. This was the first visit to the actual Vieux port area. Wow - Amazing! One of the best slip-conversions in the world. PRO + Great entertainment + Accessible + Complements Old Montreal CON + Slightly pricey
Night time view here is stunning. I love walking near the port as it's super relaxing. The walkways are clean and the port itself has clean water. View of the ferris Wheel adds to the beauty and scenic vibes.
Really eclectic space to hang out and go for a walk. The view of the St Lawrence rapids is pristine. If you're there for the events or attractions, it's a cherry on top. I rode the ferris wheel around a few times and was stunned by the landscape that became available around the island! Air conditioning inside those gondolas is also very dope!
Great place to visit in Montreal, Quebec, Canada ????!
Great place to take a walk, many great restaurants, many artists near, old boats, VERY popular tourist destination during summer for good reasons.
Its really cool and fun, its welcoming and you have so many activities to do like the ferris wheel which is beautiful at sunset. The zip line is also very fun and fast.
lovely beautiful spot to walk around great place for tourism and pictures plenty of activities to do and places to visit one of the best spots of Montreal
Very good place to relax and see the Saint-Laurent River. In summer time, there is always an event so it is very festive and full of people. Espacially on "fireworks" night or "Canada Day". You also have many attractions available depending on the season of the year. Sometime you even got concerts, or Circus, BBQ festival... etc etc. You also have IMAX 3D and restaurants/terasse to eat. Many picnic tables as well. Little pond not too far. And plenty of junk food restaurant a little further south. I enjoy going there when I need to relax. However, food is expensive and drinks as well. I suggest that you bring your own foods and drinks unless you dont mind paying 3$ for a bottle of water....
Fun family experience. There is a lot of variety in the climbing structures. Something for any pirate level.
Great promenade with good views of part of the port, river and further away nature scenery.
Walking around, ice cream, old buildings, nice shops, restaurants and history abound. Take it all it at the ferris wheel. It's around $20 per person. Not for those afraid of heights.
It was an awesome time, Big Wheel, Le Petit Navire and the Zip Line talk about a great relaxing day and the diversity of people there is nice to see. Smooth place to explore for the day
You'd think that winter in Montrral could be annoying and would stop you from visiting places. But it's not the case. The old port is a wonderful place to visit in the winter and in the summer. Has a lot of good angles to take pictures. You could even enjiy ice skating while listening to music. Just make sure you're dressed well. Or else you'll be cold ;)
Such a gorgeous spot to cool down and take in the scenery.
Old port area is welcoming and refreshing. Good place for strolls and walks. Most food trucks were closed but juice shop, churros, ice cream parlor were open. There is a bridge going to the river view as well. There is a Zipline option for enthusiasts and a La Grande wheel giving a view of the city around it. Staff was friendly. Covid protocols were followed including checking the vaccination passport/IDs. There are small shops as well for jewelry, tshirts, Heena tattoos. Next to the area is the food lovers hotspot with plenty of options to choose from.
Nice place to stroll along. We caught a street performance by some members of the Cirque du Soleil.
Beautiful place to walk around and chill. Very pretty. Didn't get a chance to go on the ferris wheel but the view from the bottom was just as Beautiful!
Beautiful vista, affording excellent views of the city and Old Town in particular, and the St. Lawrence River. The PY1 display is currently on till Sept. 2019 with daily sin et lumière shows and nightly disco venue.
Beautiful! I was there at night time! The skating rink got smaller throughout the years! Nevertheless, it was a beautiful experience, there was music playing, beautiful lighting and happy people enjoying eachother. It felt really safe.
5 stars since there is so much to see and do. However...you need alot of money. Parking is $25 There are many different food trucks available and all smelled yummy. Paddle boats available for rental ($) Zip lining ($) my kids favorite thing! Small souvenir type shops, henna tattoos. Voiles en Voiles ($) The big Ferris wheel ($) Quad cycle ($) Sos labyrinth ($) Small kiddy train ( $ 5 cash only) Small park at the back of SOS and near end of the zip lining looked like alot of fun but was very busy.
One of the most beautiful and historical places to visit in Montreal. I highly recommend going in the fall because it won’t be too hot or cold and the autumn leaves enhance the experience.
Always something to do, see, eat, hear, move and play. Great restaurants ( some pricier than others), small cafes and tons of art galleries worth visiting. Great views and times to be had with family, romantic encounters or alone. Scandinave spa, and bota bota make it a great destination for resourcing... yoga studios and rooftop terraces ( think Hotel Nelligan) add a little flare and spunk to the neighbourhood. The science museum as well as Pointe a Caillere museum of history can be great go to's for fun educational activities.
This is a really nice area to visit. There are cute shops and really nice water views. It is very touristy but it is such a classic place in Montreal that you have to visit at some point! It is also close Old Montreal streets which are beautiful.
Nice place for long walk along the river, alot of small shops for food and attractions for kids. Grass is good and people were doing picnic but barbeque is not allowed. Staff is active and were patrolling on golf carts regularly. Good place to view sunrise and sunset. Parking can be problem. In evening you can cross the road and there are alot of restaurants and live music can be enjoyed.
Nice place to visit. You can find souvenirs shops and typical street food. Best thing to do here is going on "La grande roue de Montréal", breathtaking view for just 13 dollars per person.
Great views. Excellent fun for everyone
Offers a relaxing walk along the St. Lawrence river or a ride in the large ferris wheel. Feeling adventurous, then ride the zip line. A nice area to enjoy the sights.
If you are new to montreal, it's a must Visit place Ticket Cost : 22 CAD, if you a student you will get 3 CAD discount. …
One of the most fun and beautiful spots in Montreal.
Gorgeous place! Beautiful scenery. Cute little restaurants with amazing food. Lots of fun activities to do. Feels like your walking thru Italy at some spots.
This is a wonderful place to visit. Lots to do and explore. Many fun spots and restaurant's.
So beautiful! I love all the different cultures and the streets at night are even better
an amazing place to have a perfect view of Montreal. we came from Ontario and the views we're breathtaking.
Great location to spend anything from a few hours to a few days, there's tons to see. Nice museums, great clocktower to climb, plenty of touristy stuff like zip wires etc, good shopping & lots of places to eat. Notre Dame is a must see, really beautiful place.
Went sightseeing in old Montreal and visited the port. There is a ferris wheel you can ride which allows you have the most spectacular views of the old port area. The price was a little high but the views make it worth it. No matter what time of day you visit the views are amazing so it is well worth spending the day and evening sightseeing.
it's a nice place to visit if you have a good guide. If not it's can seem very overated. Parking is a headache and every food place is way too pricy. I loved the free shows on rue Notre Dame and the artists' works.
I am a Montrealer. The path from my home to Old Port of Montreal is one of my favourite walking routes. Around the old port, throughout the year, no matter day or night, sunny or foggy, there are always beautiful natural hotspots and European-style urban street views to enjoy.
Phenomenal! The mostly intact old Montreal town is just as it was 100- 200 years ago. Stunning architecture line both sides of endlessly quaint cobblestone streets. Delectable outdoor cafes, art galleries, and shops abound. Not to mention entertaining street performers and musicians as well. A Must Do for every traveller's bucket list.
One of the finest and beautiful places of Montreal, where many old buildings and a giant roller coaster is there. Apart from that, there are many rides where a person can spend a good time and enjoy with friends or family. Moreover, the night view of that place is like a heaven. You might feel that you are on the seventh sky when you visit this place in the evening or night.
Loved the Christmas decoration of Old Montreal; it's magical. Check it out if you have the time!
So many things to see/do while on the boardwalk and it’s not too busy either!
One of the most beautiful placed Montreal ! My favourite one. So peaceful ! Great place to have a picnic or a romantic walk. Very often you can catch some different festivals at the old port. Winter and summer. Plenty of activities to do all year long.
You didn't seen Montreal if you haven't visited this place. The Serene breeze while walking the padestrian path alongside river Saint Laurent gives the best eye soothing experience. You can also eat authentic Québécois food at the restuarants here while listening to pop or club music. Place have yatches so if you are lucky enough then you can join a private party on these yatches; just don't forget to check facebook events nearby. Moreover giant Ferris Wheel will enable you to look the arial view of the city and the river at the same time. All in all its a win win covering park, walking/cycling routes, place to eat and l car parking as well. Don't forget to bring your friends or your date cuz your visit will gonna be fun.
A great place to walk around...watch out for construction! Lots to see and do. 17th century soldiers and musket drill while I was there. They have added a zip line, climbing apparatus for the kids(extra$) The giant ferris wheel($25 per adult) Cirque de Soleil too.
Great Scenery???????????? Awesome place to visit at any season????????????
It's a beautiful place to go for a walk, relax, take pictures, grab some drinks and amazing food, lots of entertaining... it's amazing... loved it!
Very pretty area of the city. Nice view of the river. Many beautiful old buildings with nice architecture. The giant ferris wheel looks kind of cool, but also a bit on the touristy side as do the row of shops that look kind of like a row of carnival game huts. There are many nice little shops in the area and you can just walk right down the street to go from one to the next.
Very vibrant and lively place with lots of hussle and bustle. Small vendors food trucks were adding to the great vibes. Enjoyed every second of walking, cycling and stay here. Best place to visit, two thumbs up
Great place to visit. Many things to see. We did amphbus tour but I was not impressed though. We started on the ground but there was lots of traffic so we kept waiting on a signal light. Plus the tour guide jokes were not funny and I couldn't understand sometimes when he was joking or being serious about history facts. I would not do it again. However, after we end up at bouncy castles place, carousel and archery for kids which they loved. Old port itself is a great place to visit for entire weekend. Take metro to avoid traffic if you can. Lovely architecture and beautiful city.
I ve lived in Old Port since 2013 and I love it. It is a city within a city with something for everyone. I keep discovering new places to eat, drink or a small street that makes you feel like you could be in Europe!
Great place to take the family, lots of activities, attractions, restaurants and great scenery.
Absolutely stunning during the day and vibrant at night! We had such a good time experiencing the Old Port of Montreal. It truly felt like we were in a European city. Some things are on the pricier side, but definitely worth the treat at least once in a lifetime!
You might enjoy this place and various attractions at Old port Montreal !! The zipline ride is one the nicest experience which everyone should time.. short and crazy:) Take a ferry ride that will give a wonderful experience and enjoyable view of giant wheel ...
Great experience...a Great walk for every evening. Lot of food n activities option
It's nice for the one-time ride. Very friendly and conveniently located in old town on the bank of St. Lawrence river, significant elevation, moving at a nice slow pace with an incredible 360 views. Vieux-Port de Montreal is a must for all. The pleasant, friendly staff is quite helpful and caring. These are a couple of nice cafes to go to after your ride. Guys pls work on air conditioning. It was kind of hot in there.
Beautiful place to visit if you are in Montreal! The boulevard is such a nice place where you will find lots of craft and art, souvenirs stores and restaurants too.
Great part of the city. Things to do for families like zip lining and of course boat tours. Great restaurants all around and great food trucks too!
I didn't know this place exists but I remember I think I lost my way the first time I tried to find this place then I overlooked on it to visit this place until my friend who is a local insisted to go. No regrets. I was here in Sept 2019. Wow guys! This place looks extremely boundless. Especially that view of the St.Lawrence River. Most of the stalls are already closed. I casually walked around here and took pictures of this view of the Le Grand Roue de Montreal observation wheel and the river while observing people in this cool fresh air.
Love taking walks at the old port. I specially live the pianos your find along the way. I don't play, but I think it's awesome to hear others play it
Beautiful place for have ,I recommend to bring your bike for go around old port
Great time in the Old Port of Mtl..lots to see and do and a short 2 hr drive day trip from Ottawa. Many restaurants in the area to enjoy...go check it out and have fun!
Beautiful place to visit with great architecture. Restaraunts and shops lined up on the sides. You can also take a walk by the Saint Lawrence River. If you have kids though, just know children are not allowed to sit out on restaraunt patios after 10pm.
Beautiful place to spend half a day or so. Parking here is $25 fixed for any duration. So if you planning to stay for an hour or two then park outside at a garage or parking lot for $10-12 for 2-3 hours. There is a ziplinr if you are interested in that. There is also a ferry wheel or Montréal Eye if you are interested in taking a ride on that. There is plenty of things to do with family like boating in the stream that falls into the river. There is also an artificial beach by the boat docks which you can access by paying a small fee.
Nice place to walk, explore and eat..
Can't get enough of the vibes while strolling the streets of the old port. The place has such an amazing energy in the air that you will enjoy every moment. Every street and architecture is so picturesque that you can't get enough of it.
FANTASTIC SPOT! I enjoy the time I spent here. Lots of fun things to do, cool activities and great food to eat. The views are pretty incredible too. Come in May and it was full of people on a beautiful sunny day. I'd definitely suggest making a trip here.
My absolute favourite area of Montreal! The architecture is incredible, feels like you’re actually in Europe. So many cute cafes, restaurants, shops and art galleries. Love the pedestrian streets for casual strolling. Beautiful riverfront with views of the fast-moving St Lawrence river.
Old Montreal, cobblestone roads, amazing building structures. Walk along the streets and you never know what you will find. A art gallery, a ice cream store, boutique… it’s a beautiful day to spend with love ones and discover the Beaty in “old Montreal “.
Great view and spot to take cute picture.
Amazing place to spend time with your friends , especially during the night time . Filled with vibrant colors and nice atmosphere. A great place to visit if you are new to montreal.
Very beautiful port along the river. You can really spend here for a few hours and enjoy the view. There is also scientific museum to go to. It was really cold in winter especially when it was windy. I’d like to come here again next time I’m in Montreal in different season.
Its a nice place to walk around with your loved one(s). A bit crowded in places with tons of photo opportunities. If you're craving a snack while walking around you're in luck as you can find almost anything from ice cream to cotton candy. There is plenty of parking on the water for $25. The restaurants by the water have a great ambiance created by the DJ.
ahhh...the Old Port is one of the spot where you can walk on a nice day, find a spot, lay on the grass and enjoy the view of Downtown on one side and the Saint-Laurent river on the other side. It is full of plenty of activities , boating, a ferris wheel, Cirque du Soleil site, festival, a pirate ship, a zip-line and a lot more!
All the neighborhood is wonderful! Amazing in fall! Stroll through the alleys.
We went as part of a nonprofit organization to visit the Old Port of Montreal and we where not disappointed! Plenty to do and lotsa fun. Definitely recommend the SoS Labyrinth and Zipline!
I love the Vieux Port. Very romantic! Nice area to hangout when it is nice outside. Good food from the food trucks. Can go there for a great promenade with family and friends. I heard that it is even more fun during summer time!
Aways nice to go, food and activities are great. To bad cmax is closed hope after covid it reopens.
Fantastic area. Great people. Lots of things to do and sights to see. We basically shopped the shops and walked it all in a day. Will definitely return in order to slow down the pace, soak in the sights, sit and have drinks and great food.
A must visit, lots of activities for everyone, a great place for families. Surrounded by fine restaurants.
Had a great day wandering the port and old Montreal
beautiful part of the city. You can walk around and age all the sites and sounds. lots of food trucks and vendors and a very busy place with many tourists. There is also free WiFi. The buildings are beautiful and it has a European feel to it. There are also cobblestone roads. you can even go on a horse and carriage ride around.
Nice place, They have some nice activities for the Families and Food Trucks.
It's not difficult to see why the Vieux-Port or the Old Port of Montreal is a crowd favorite. It's one of the most successful conversions of an industrial waterfront into a playground and a tourist destination. Open year-round, it is guaranteed fun. The views of the city are spectacular, especially from the port's elevated walkways. In my opinion, watching the sunset from one of them is one of the most memorable views that Montreal offers.
Great place with numerous activities and food. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Montreal.
Le Petit Dep (bright green storefront) is a must for your morning coffee, amazing Americano!! Enjoyed our dinner at Jardin Nelson, service and food were exceptional.
The place to go in Montreal whether it be a romantic getaway, a family vacation or some quiet time. This is the place to go. Summer Canadian destination. Very rich history, great food and even better people. To bad all we could give was 5 stars. And BTW, if you are there in the summer and really need to cool down, go do the Saute mouton. Very much well worth the price!
This area is so intriguing that we had to come back for a second day! There is so much to take in. Easily accessible and filled with things to do and see.
One of the best places for a walk and to calm mind in the city. Love the French architecture nearby and the sight seeing ????
One of the place that everyone should visit that. It's very beautiful and you can spend whole day there.
Beautiful walk. Definitely a must see tourist attraction.
Full of historic monuments and beautiful view on the Fleuve Saint-Laurent. Plenty of activities for families and tourists. There are also plenty of the best restaurants in the neighborhood and nice clubs at night. One of my favourite place to go with a date for a walk and ice cream. There are also temporary events like Poutinefest and Cirque du Soleil shows, Igloofest, etc all year long.
Plenty of parking.. ($25 flat rate), zip lining, ferris wheel, restaurants, shopping... lots and lots to do.... it reminds me of Europe.... most definitely recommended....
Lots of things to do for all ages. Great restaurants, museums and shops.
Great place, romantic and very well maintained. I'd recommend to take a trip there when the weather is favorable, it can get very hot and uncomfortable in the heat.
We went on a very cold day 32' Celsius we didnt have a wait it was nice and warm in side the car. A bit pricey for only going around 3 times but on a clear day it's really nice and yes we proudly represent the NHL Boston Bruins in downtown Montreal ????
The entire shore of the Saint Lawrence is a fantastic bike ride.
Awesome place visit when visiting Montreal! Lots of shop and local artists!
We visited the place at night. It is still lively. Lots of people strolling. Ferris Wheel is one of the attractions. Food trucks, bars and stores are all in there You could walk along the quay. The only problem there is the traffic congestion when u going out of Old Port. Definitely a place to enjoy when u are in Montreal.
It's an incredible place to walk around. The stores and sights are amazing. There is so much to see and do, you'll need a couple days!
Had a fun time on La Grande Roue. On a hot day the air conditioned ride was very welcomed. Only disappointment is the green screen photos were not available during the time of our visit.
A walk along the old port is definitely worth it. The mix between history and water is just magical. A carriage ride is lovely too Though I heard this year is the last year they will have it. So if you can, catch one while it's still available.
It's okay, but most of the activities are closed, even outdoor activities. Stay from Canada during the pandemic. Too much restrictions. Canadian will ask you for vaccination card and show your ID to get in restaurants even to use a bathroom. Please stay away. Please come to US for freedom.
Wonderful, exciting and enjoyable part of Montreal. Family friendly with a number of places to eat and shop around. Bikes for rent. Carrousel plus boat rides. Just a frat place to spend your evenings. Parking is 25 dollars at the location but there are parking on the road few blocks out.
I'm one who likes walking in historic places and experiencing culture (food, language, local traditions, etc..) so exploring Old Port of Montreal was really nice. Enjoyed walking along St.Lawrence river. Visiting the basilica and chapels. Eating poutine. Taking in the old architectures around.
Awesome place to visit in Montreal. Lovely staff and good service. Ice skating Rink also there to enjoy. Cafeteria too available to have some good coffee and quickies.
Nice family place, kids enjoy a lot. All activities are excellent.
Enjoyed the feeling of being surrounded by history. Beautiful buildings. Also enjoyed the new with the old on riding the La Grande Roue de Montreal. A very large, slow moving ferris wheel showing breathtaking views of the city sky line.
A historic port with wonderful attractions and opportunities to enjoy all day in many ways! Parking your vehicle will cost you $25 though! Highly recommended!
Beautiful place to skate in the old port of Montreal.
One of the most beautiful places in Montreal. Nearby roads are decorated beautifully. If you are in Montreal then don’t miss to visit this. In winter ice skating is there.
The Old Port of Montreal is one of the iconic places to visit in Montreal. In the winter, there is ice skating available in front of the clock tower which leads to a smaller frozen stream. The rink is quite spacious and was not very crowded. There is a boardwalk type scene nearby with a row of places to eat casual food. In the spring or summer, there is typically more activity and shops open. Here you can also find a ferris wheel that will take you around three times and gives you a nice view of Old Port. Overall, you should come at least once to enjoy some of Montreal river side views
Nice place for a walk, sometimes very busy but definitely a must see place in Montreal
Many walking and bike paths, benches to sit rest and enjoy the views. Parking and washrooms were available to the public. Some construction at the Port, for a coming attraction, when?
Fantastic place to visit, one of my favourite cities whilst travelling around Canada, brilliant food, buildings, history and scenery.. Loved it
Went to Montreal and or course we needed to visit the Old Port of Montreal, every time we go we stop at Montreal we always come. It’s our first time coming since La Grande Roue de Montreal was built. It is a great attraction, and there’s something of interest for the whole family which is great. You can walk and sit along the old port and look at the beautiful views that stretches over 2km along the Saint Lawrence River. We also love the street vendors, good prices and unique stuff. Everyone was interested in what the vendors had to offer, they were very friendly as well. They also had food trucks.
While in Montreal, this is a must-go-to place to go...either just for sightseeing, events location, dinning out, zipline, Montreal's skywheel, paddle boats and much more
Loved everything about it prefect place for day out.????
The port is really nice for a walk and sightseeing. There is a lot of activities for kids like the giant ferrous wheel, small train, pedal boat etc. The streets are really nice and European looking. Parking is a bit of trouble. There are a lot of restaurants where during the lunchtime can be really busy. You can find Middle Eastern, French, Italian and American speciality places here.
Nice historical buildings and lots of places to eat. But finding a parking space is horrendous and if you got to pay it is expensive. We wasted much of our time looking for a place to park. The music near the Ferris wheel is lame because it's constantly same genre being played over and over again, no variations .
