Great area for birds! Saw cardinals, thrashers, grosbeaks, cedar wax wings, yellow throated warblers and a huge Osprey! Trails are a bit confusing- signage could be better, but I think once you've been there a few times you would know your way around better.

Cooper's marsh is our favorite nature trail to walk for the simple reason that we see wild life every time we go! To top it off Cooper's marsh has beautiful boardwalks that over look the marsh. For anyone interested in knowing, the map at the entrance shows how to get to another accessible trail a few minutes drive away. The entrance has also a washroom and tables for a picnic.

Great time to visit, the last couple nights have been freezing but daytime is still +15-20° so there are zero bugs. Everything is still mostly green but just starting to get hints of fall colours. We did two trails, the swallow swirl was good with a stroller but the mallard march was a bit bumpy due to tree roots. We'll be back to try the other trails soon! Lots of great flora and fauna to enjoy, smells fresh and lovely.

The place should be renamed to "The Best Place in the Whole World". Cooper Marsh, or as I like to call it "Frog Pond" is so much fun! Fun for the whole family for the whole day! Bring your picnic supplies and hunker down because you are in for a treat! A tranquil area where you have the opportunity to spot various sorts of birds and frogs, this place is the best!

A very large park excellent for walking. Free entrance and parking (unusual in my area - Montreal). Clean and well maintained. I enjoy this park the most when it’s below 20 degrees :) it has a very large swamp (bugs!). Little things to improve would be to put a sign on the road indicating the entrance of park - it happened that I’ve missed the entrance a few times (not a bid deal!). However, it would be important to put a roadmap in the park indicating direction and how far ate you from the parking lot as an example - I got lost once. Message for guest - please keep this park clean - don’t throw plastic bottles so it would remain enjoyable for all.

No bathrooms available. Paths are marked with coloured tags on trees and near forks. Two trails overlap and branch from a long central trail--one east, one west. Paths are shady and fairly level. (The boardwalk is not, but has the occasional bench to sit on.) Easy to access parking, and picnic tables are available near the front / parking lot.

I had such a great experience at Cooper Marsh over the past weekend! I had not been in well over a decade and on top of the rush of nostalgia I had, I was also reminded of the unique charm of this conservation area. Cooper Marsh being a wetlands conservation allows for a wide variety of sights in regards to both plants and animals. While I was there, I saw many large birds, some muskrats and several different kinds of vines, flowers and other wetland vegetation. I was reminded of my field trips in elementary school as I toured around the Marsh on the boardwalks. I was able to snap a few good photos on my visit. Sometimes we take for granted the beauty in nature and don't even think about it until we visit places like these. I would highly recommend Cooper Marsh to anyone who has or hasnt been! It's a great walk, a learning experience and an overall great time. Bring some big spray!
