This is a wonderful park to spent time alone or with family and friends. Perfect park for a nice long walk or even bike ride. If your kids love to throw rocks into the river, a definite place to go here. They also have a off-leash park available and have seen quite a few dogs enjoying themselves running around. There is no actual playground for the kids but they will sure enjoy the nature. Lots of parking spaces available and a decked area for picnics.

Is 22 is an awesome place for going on a walk or birding. What *really* bugs me is the dog walkers with off-leash dogs. There's even an off-leash area, but many decide that their dog can be off the leash anywhere. PLEASE LEASH YOUR DOG when not in the off-leash area!

Best place in the Chilliwack area to take your dog. Lots of friendly folks walking their dogs. It's a great place for young dogs to learn how to socialize. Dogs of all shapes and sizes and breeds.

Fantastic park. I took my sisters two dogs here weekly for almost an entire year. Great people, area is well tended to. You have beach access, a great trail, and plenty of places to rest and let your dogs roam. During the summer they charge an entry fee. Getting the season pass is worth it if you plan to visit more than 3 times. I trust the money is being reasonably spent on maintenance and expansions.

great place to walk, hike, fish, launch your boat into the fraser river, bring a horse and trail ride, they even offer horse jumping and a bmx park with jumps for advanced riders and novice as well. great for the whole family

Avoid this park this summer, we just a rived and paid the fee to have a picnic at the park, got out of the car only to be swarmed by mosquitoes we had little ones with us as well so had to run back to the car. We tried to get our money back for spending 5 minutes at the park and they told us they don't do refunds.... Super disappointed!

My family and I frequent this park. Great for dogs off leash. We try to come here weekly to take in a nice evening or morning walk on the river. Would highly recommend coming here, especially if you have a dog.

Love this place been coming here every summer with my wife and dad for few years now. It's right along the fraiser river, we come for sturgeon fishing, but the park itself is stunning mountains, water, islands all up the river, dirt road coming in and a small lake on the way to the two main parking lots, there's bathrooms on either sides of the parking lots. And if u have a boat you can go up for a swim where the Harrison river runs into the fraiser bright blue turquoise water running into the brown murky Fraser River really cool to see. Awsome place

If you have dogs, it seems to have a great off leash area that's fenced in. There's a place for horseback riding and another for cyclists who like pump tracks, I think they're called, but I'm not sure. What I like best about Island 22 is how lovely it is at this spot, right on the Fraser River. It's a great place to hang out & to get fresh air. There's a walking trail above the river as well that's part of an extended trail. I can't remember the name of the trail, but the part that Island 22 is part of is flat & easy to walk.

A beautiful park with nice trails, a fenced off leash dog area, and tight beside the mighty Fraser River. River water was very high with freshet on July 5th 2021, as the current heat wave is melting the snow pack too quickly.

Well what can I say, it's Sockeye season. Island 22 Park is one of the hottest spots you will find for landing these beautiful chrome bullets. The park is completely jam packed during this time of year. Hundreds of cars and boats and trucks with trailers. But if you find a good spot you will have the best day of your life! The beautiful scenery is something you can be around all day even if the fish aren't biting. Looking forward to one day taking my dog here in the less busy season. Until then I will be sitting on the edge of the river with my rod loving life! Its a must see place, fishing or not.

The lady at the entrance gate had a nasty reaction after we wanted to turn back around after we happily mentioned we're turning back around and didn't know there was a fee. This park was not what we expected, with nobody on the beach and water not as clear as other areas and we didn't have enough time so we didn't want to pay a fee to enter

Its a very khool spot to watch sunsets on the fraser..it is hard to find that vantage point . You just walk past the dogs off leash park and the river turns at that point offering u a very private spot for picnic or photography. This area also has a beach like area.

Found some cool fungus despite lawnmower recently coming thru. Wish people would keep their dogs on leash when not in the dog park as being jumped on by a big dog and being told "hes friendly" isnt good enough. Lucky i didnt have my dog spray because getting punched in the gut by a giant dog paw really doesnt feel good when you are an injured person with already internal pain...

Island 22 is perhaps the most scenic dog park in Chilliwack. The trails are nice, the beach is nice, and the fenced areas are large enough for tons of dogs to run around in different groups.

I've been looking for a really good off leash dog park and finally found this hidden gem which is well worth the 10 to 15 minute drive north of Chilliwack. It is absolutely beautiful, my Great Dane can run and run like the wind and give her legs a good stretch! She has a blast out there. If you're concerned about keeping your distance from other people (for covid reasons), this is definitely it. There are two separate areas for dogs, one is for little dogs and the other is for all dogs, great idea for the small dog owners especially those little guys that are freaked out by my great Dane lol (even though she's more gentle than a tiny kitten). Public washrooms, picnic tables, poop bags, and a nice path along the river, where are your dog would have to be leashed. 5 star, in my books!!!

Went to island 22 today. It was a nice walk. There is a HUGE dog park and nice views with all kinds of birds and even hawks, owls and eagles. Occasionally you’ll see a fish jump. There is a horse riding area and parking is free except in the spring and summer months. They have a bike track and boat launch and there is fishing there too. I gave it 4 stars because of the parking costing in the summer and because there is a ton of mosquitoes in the summer.

My favourite dog park in Chilliwack, great size area for dogs to run and also it’s surrounded by very nice trails to go for a nice walk and one of them along the river. Beautiful mountains views and nature; however as soon as the river gets higher or it gets warmer it’s impossible to go there because the amount of mosquitoes, so early spring it’s the best time to enjoy this area specially being free at this point. I think it’s from July to October when you have to pay a fee to use this regional park. Honestly it’s a shame that the major hasn’t come up with a plan to control the mosquitoes plague during those months and they dare to charge a fee. Anyways it’s pretty enjoyable right now; people please clean up after your doggies poop! other than that beautiful park !

Sometimes you just want a short chill walk by the river. You know you are at island 22 when you see the homeless rv camp but don't worry, we have to pay for parking. Bring your dog, your cat, your horse or what ever animal you have. Fun for the whole clan. Pretty pro looking bike course for those interested in breaking bones.

I'm disappointed with their road and boat launch. We drive our 100.000 dollar boats to launch and our trucks and boats are filthy with crusher dust. As a experienced pit and gravel products they should use 1/2 inch clear crush only.it will be clean and compact .

Great park! Only complaint is the lack of obedience to to owners keeping their dogs on leaches as per clear signage. There is a huge leash off area, so I don't see an excuse for this behaviour.
