Beautiful potential . Only one way open to walk right now , cannot get to visitor centre. Very hot, not shady Trail . Beautiful marsh and wildlife to spot alone the way. Cute bridge to cross marsh . Did not make it to lookout tower though! Must look next time :)

A great way to get a walk in with the family. Quiet and lots of waterfowl

The landscape is absolutely beautiful this time of year. A nice stroll to the lookout which overseas the marshland. The amount of ducks this time of year was amazing to see. It is such a peaceful place to visit right in our own county. I would absolutely recommend this attraction, as with each season it has much to offer in terms of scenary, various birds, amphibians, right down to the beauty of insects and colorful weeds. Its educational and fun for the whole family to enjoy!

This small secluded park is just a twenty minute drive from Chatham and is a great spot to take take the family for a short nature hike. Take the groomed trail from the parking lot to the viewing platform and back for a 30 minute hike, or continue along the trail to the park boundary and walk back to the parking area along lightly traveled roads ( about 5k total). The trail is flat and suitable for strollers. The marsh contains a number of interconnected ponds that are used as a resting area by migrating swans, geese and ducks. In the late summer this is also a great place to see butterflies. Remember to bring your binoculars, a camera and a field guide. You never know what you will see there. Note: Parking is limited to five or six vehicles

Great little walk in nature, trails are well groomed and there are loads of birds to see and hear. Large path allows for social distancing and good signage on the observation tower. 2.5km one way, so 5km round trip. Easy hour walk in nature.

Not really any facilities so make sure you take out whatever you bring

Mitchell Tulloch

Nice trail to small observation tower over the marsh, lots of cool birds

Marta g

Nothing too crazy.. you basically walk on a dirt road and see marshes

Mack Cornell

Well maintained trails through a remarkable area. One of the last sections of undisturbed marsh left along the Lake St Clair shoreline. If you want to see thousands of waterfowl in one place, now is your time to go! Thousands of Mallards, Canada Geese, Wood Ducks, Widgeon, Spoonbills, Tundra Swans, Coots and more!

Hundreds of swans, ducks and birds. Amazing natural space 15 minutes from Chatham

The Saint Clair National Wildlife area is the house of different bird species in the zone. Also, the marsh environment presents a large diversity of amphibia and insects such a toads, Monarch butterflies or fireflies. The Saint Clair National Wildlife area owns a watching tower (two floor stage), where it is possible to see the wetlands above the high grasses. The parking lot is small (abour five spots), and the roads to arrive to the zone are unpaved, so I suggest to reach the aite early in the morning. Be ready to walk inside the site.

Really nice place to view the birds before they take off down south. There were people hunting on the property next to it which is a shame. There were kids there when I was there so they got to see some birds get shot and die. Good times. But the site itself is really nice.
