An easy launching point for kayaks. The boat ramp at Roberta was very busy and very little parking. Have to be careful of boats coming in/out of boat ramp area. Nice spot to have a picnic. No washrooms.

Drift Dive Entry Point We visited MacDonald Park to do a scuba dive in the river. The park is great - except there are a lot of mosquitoes. There is ample parking for a dozen or more cars, boats, trailers. There are several locations to enter the river for the drift dive. The current is moderate. The river has a sand bottom about 20 to 25 ft deep. Visibility is about 5 to 10 ft. After about 40 minutes the current will carry you about 1.1 km and the river dips to about 40 ft (we use this as a signal to surface and exit from the river). This is a good beginner level drift dive. Very little boat traffic and the current is manageable for a novice diver.

A nice are for events. Has a clean porta potty and is always well maintained. A boat ramp is on one end. Swimming can be done on the far corner of the park. Selkirk faire has been held here in the past.

Great boat ramp if its not busy. Otherwise your parking in the mud and theres nowhere to park your boat in the water. Also fisherman actually throw there lines out right at the ramp...

Nice spot,,, too bad they couldn't widen the ramp to accommodate 2 lanes of boats going in-and-out. That would be one lane for pros 1 lane for rookies.....
