There's a guide who will tell you the history of the lighthouse. The guides are knowledgeable and they answered all my random questions happily. Nice views, rocky coastline. I wouldn't recommend it for a wheelchair or a stroller.

I believe it is the only lighthouse built from granite. Lovingly restored by the residents of Rose Blanche. Designed by Robert Louis Stevenson's father D T Stevenson. Lovely spot. The drive there on the winding road was exceptional.

In addition to traveling for food, I like to drive to the end of the road. Short of taking a ferry, this is it for Western Newfoundland. Definitely worth the walk to the end of the point. Though allowed to deteriorate to the point of collapse, it has been lovingly rebuilt/restored using as much of the original material and techniques as possible. Go inside! Far from being the stereotypical lonely lighthouse keeper, this was the centre of the social scene in Rose Blanche since the family (of 8?) had the only gramophone in the area. AND it's hard to take a bad picture.

Kostet Minimal Eintritt und das mit Recht, denn es ist alles gut hergerichtet, sauber. Der Trail zum Lighthouse ist gut zu laufen, es geht etwas bergauf. Tolle Aussichten liegen einem zu Füssen. The town is taking really good care of the lighthouse; we enjoyed the hike up there. Amazing scenery , revocation & history of the lighthouse. The admission to visit the lighthouse is $6, you can pay it with cash or debit card. Don’t forget to visit the fish man’s museum after visiting the lighthouse; the museum is behind the art crafts store where you purchase the lighthouse tickets; they have really nice of boat models in there!

Its a nice little light house restored from ruins. Well kept. Please take jacket with you because the place is on a hill and you experience the cool breeze from the sea all the time.

Beautiful rebuilt granite lighthouse that you pay a fee to see. The grounds are also gorgeous and you have to walk a short trail to get to the light. The views are spectacular. If you are lucky you may see a whale. The docent was the great niece of the last lighthouse and told us some of the stories of the people who used to live there. If you enjoy visiting lighthouses then this is a must stop. They do not participate in the lighthouse passport.

This place was beautiful! They had a food booth and a beauty of a trail up to the light house. Plants were marked along the walking trail and different plagues describing what happened to the ship wrecks! A 87 year old lady walked up to see the lighthouse. You can see her in my pictures!!

A very beautiful place to visit with a lot of history and fantastic views. It is a very easy walk up to the lighthouse and I like that there are information signs that highlights the different types of vegetation in the area. There is also an option in which you can have a picnic. The lighthouse itself has been restored but it is still spectacular and well worth the visit if you are in the area. There is also a gift store and take out onsite. Just below the gift shop is a fisherman's museum. Do take the time to visit

Glad we made the trip from the ferry terminal at the beginning of our RV trip .The restored lighthouse is amazing and the views are exceptional . Bring a jacket for the tour , as the wind is very cool and the interior of the building is damp and drafty .We camped in the parking area overnight in our truck camper , and that made for an interesting stay , with the wind and waves on shore . Nice !

This place is so amazing! It's a great trail to walk and beautiful scenery. This is not wheelchair accessible. They do have a gift shop and also food. Ice cream too. Bathrooms available as well. Pictures do it no justice it's so beautiful here. Pack a lunch and bring it up with you and have a picknik by the ocean.
