I had the pleasure of getting to go on a tour with campbell river whale watching and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life!!!! We saw tons of humpbacks, seals, stellar sea lions, eagles and fish jumping everywhere. Our guide Laurel was very professional and she could drive a boat like nobody's business! She knew tons about the smaller Islands and channels we explored through. It was great learning about this rugged area of BC. We had some seriously choppy water and it made our trip so much more fun than I could've ever imagined. If you are looking for an amazing wildlife tour I highly recommend you book with CRWW. I would love to go on one of their grizzly bear tours!

Nikia Leuschen

Amazing morning on the water with Robin. I didn't get any great shots of whales, but we saw two separate Orca pods (6 Biggs/Transient whales total) and 6 different humpbacks, along with a bear, seals and sea lions! Fantastic guide, fantastic trip.

Andrew Heaton

What a great day! The staff were knowledgeable and super friendly! The wildlife was abundant and close at hand.

???? Beautiful Amazing journey into Toba Inlet yesterday with Campbell River Whale Watching Captain Steven and Randy from The Klahoose Coastal Adventures we viewed Grizzlies in their natural habitat doing what they do best, fattening up for winter on the spawning salmon! We were fortunate enough to see eight of them safely from four different viewing towers along the Klite River! I would highly recommend this experience and journey of a lifetime to anyone! It was Beary surreal! ???? Bucket list

I would give them 10 stars if I could. We booked the 4 hr zodiac tour in mid-September and saw humpback whales, sea lions, dolphins, and porpoises. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. I’d imagine every experience is unique and enjoyable to travel alone or with a friend/group.

Christian Simard

At first, I was a little hesitant about going on a whale watching tour. I thought I may not get to see much if anything. Boy was I ever wrong! We took the zodiac tour. We go to the same places as the covered boat but get a bumpier ride (which I really enjoyed). We rode up a bit and stopped to see a huge pod (200 individuals) of dolphins. We then went to see sea lions, eagles and seals and finished the tour with a couple of humpback whales. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Robin, our guide was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable and safe. Worth every penny. You will regret missing out.

Kara Melmock

We had such a fantastic day! We loved our enthusiastic guide and captain! We saw tons of wildlife and loved hearing about the surrounding areas. Lunch was so yummy, with a homemade meal accompanied by good coffee. Well worth the money and what a fantastic way to spend a day. Thank you! Will definitely be back!

Derek Weir

We had an amazing time yesterday. Our guide clearly loves where he lives, and he provided us with fascinating tidbits about the history, economy, environment, and wildlife of the region. He also knows the area well, and led us to just the right spots for some stunning views of dolphins and humpbacks. A great day.

pegasusjune

Great time. Stunning views, shore lunch...and the whales entertained us all

Marilyn Smith

While visiting From Manitoba My sister and I took in a six hour zodiac whale watching and sightseeing tour. We had a beautiful sunny day, and saw three pods of humpback whales dolphins, seals, porpoises, and Eagles. We were able to get some great photos and learn about the beautiful islands and wildlife. The tour guide was very professional and had protocols in place for distancing and they gave us a mask to wear the entire time we were on the tour. They provided a lunch and refreshments. I would recommend this to our company and we felt that the valueFor the service that received was reasonable.

Gordon Haid

Awesome time! We saw a large group of sea lions, three Orca (including a rare white whale) and many humpbacks diving. We felt safe with the COVID precautions they have in place. Perfect day. I should add that Robin (AKA Batman) was both a very knowledgeable and fun guide.

katie phelan

This was a truly exceptional experience. Communication, coordination, safety protocols... and the animals! Our group saw humpbacks, dolphins, eagles and seals on our 6 hour open zodiac tour. What a way to see the coast line and islands, and explore my own back yard! Cannot wait to return.

Jan Becker

Very knowledgeable and experienced tour guides. We saw Orcas and a Humpback Whale. Also, we had lots of fun in the Surge Narrows Provincial Park. The tidal currents up there are crazy. We were cruising through the tidal rapids caused by the convergence of two flood tides.

Amber Timmons

Lorill was amazing! She made the experience that much better. We saw Northern Resident orcas and pacific white sided dolphins with many informative facts that she shared with is along the way. Definitely would recommend ????

Laura Jensen

If I could score higher than 5 stars, I sure would!! What an amazing experience! Thanks to our lovely guide and boat captain Lauren! Whoops, a 5 hour tour but the best tour EVER Laure & Rob

adam guthridge

We had an amazing tour with our guide Tyler and travelled to Toba Inlet to see some Grizzly bears. We saw 6 bears within 10 feet, several whales, dolphins, seals and bald eagles. This tour did not disappoint when it came to seeing wildlife. Travelling to the location of the bears was just as beautiful as the destination. Huge waterfalls pour of the sides of cliffs into the sea that's a bright green color in some areas. The water is calm and glassy and the clouds drift across the mountains that surround the inlet. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting can Isle and wanting to see wildlife or just the natural beauty that is Toba inlet and the discovery Islands.

Nick Thornton (ThorntonTravels)

This is a great company to show you some incredible nature and beautiful scenery on the Salish Sea! Tyler was a fantastic captain with a ton of knowledge and the lunch provided was great. Thanks for the great day out!

Bjarne Haugbølle

Fantastic trip watching grizzly-bears, humpback whales, killer whales etc. Fantastic nice people taking care of you. Go wild - go on one of their trips and have an adventure.

Kim Kirton

My partner and I went on a whale watching / wild life tour two weeks ago to kick-off our end of summer vacation. Our guide was Lorel - and she was a fantastic guide that kept us safe, and was very knowledgeable of the local area. We lucked out that day and saw humpback whales, orcas and 100+ pack of dolphins. ( they swam beside us!!!) Wildlife can be unpredictable so it's hard to know what you might see when you go, however, the one thing I found unique about my experience is that Lorel was connecting with local fishermen over the radio for wildlife sightings, then we would head to that area. I did a similar tour in Tofino, and the guide didn't have any coordination during our tour with other boats/ fishermen and was going to places based on the spots he knew versus what was out on the water that day... maybe that's why this tour we were able to see so much! Thanks again Lorel + Campbell River Whale Watching Team - it was a highlight of our trip.

Carlene Lewall

What a great day. Our family filled the boat 11 of us. Our guide Laura was truly amazing, she read the kids and knew what they would like. We saw Orca's, seal, sea lions, humpbacks and porpoises, rode some rapids - what an amazing afternoon. We had all done whale watching before and all agreed this was the best.

Christine Yablonka

It is always exciting to see someone take great care and passion into their work - Had the amazing opportunity to take a tour with Tyler; who is obviously still in love with his job. Had a 4 hour wildlife tour; he had exceptional knowledge of the area, wildlife, and boating. Exhilarating experience of seeing several humpback whales; as well as a new calf. Additionally; we were stunned by not just focusing on whales - but also continuing the tour to see bears, eagles, and seals! Surreal experience watching eagles dive bomb into the ocean. As well as a very interesting boat ride through different tidal zones and whirlpools! This was followed by our booked trip for a 4 day kayaking tour with WildCoast Adventures; that Tyler dropped us off straight to our kayaks for after our tour.

Lindsey H (SunnyCoast22)

Grizzly/Whale Watching was great!!

Ashley Davies

Wow! This tour was incredible! Best experience I've ever been on! Jack was amazing. He was knowledgeable and attentive. He knows the area well. Has a great relationship with the indigenous guides. We went on the bear tour. We saw three Bears! They came up close to the viewing platform and saw them catching tons of fish! Then on the way back we saw 5 orcas. We followed them for a while where they swam up to 150 dolphins! The orcas went on the attack and breached the water, throwing dolphins in the air with them as they were trying to feed. It was incredible! I would highly highly recommend this tour! Well worth the money!

Ahmed Nossair

Excellent experience for whale watching on the zodiac. We truly enjoyed it and had lots of fun. The only one thing we stayed too long watch Aukra whales in one spot while we could have sailed more to the north. In general it’s for sure worth the try and have the experience in your bucket list.

Erin Pickering

What a great staycation trip! I had the pleasure of taking a whale watching trip on July 23rd with Robin as our trusty and knowledgeable captain. What a day! Not only did each guest receive a humpback whale printed face buff, All guests kept them on their faces! Robin kept the boat clean and sanitized frequently throughout the trip. A great job creating a safe space for us. There was 7 of us on board and lots of space to spread out across the cover boat’s decks. We saw 10 or more humpbacks- a few sleeping and a few showing off! But the highlight for me was the 100+ eagles lunching in the rapids, magical! Would HIGHLY recommend this day trip. I’m hoping to go again before the season ends- we live in paradise, so go explore it! Gilakas’la

We have taken numerous trips with CR Whale Watching and have always had a first rate trip. We went on a 6 hour trip on August 12 and it was amazing. Capt. Jack was our skipper, he is knowledgeable, personable and knows the waters and the animals well. I would highly recommend this company. All photos by my daughter.

Krista Boulding

I went with my daughter and it was SO much fun. Even as a local to Campbell River, we had never gone out in the water before. I highly recommend these tours!

Brookside Equestrian

Our tour guide, Quinn was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Very great experience I would definitely recommend????

Hertz Vaughan

Outstanding trip! They provide a full body wear on top, exposure suit. We did the four hour whale and wildlife. Jack was our Captain and expert naturalist. He did a phenomenal job showing us the islands. The highlight was Stuart Island and the ocean rapids. We saw lots of Stellar Sea Lions up close, harbor seals, a porpoise, bald eagles, and spent some quality time with a humpback whale. The rapids were excellent and we very much appreciated our shipmates as well. Highly recommend!

Pat Thiphavong

Awesome fishing

Jason W

Meh...Clean, safe and professional business. We went with Peter on a 4 hr trip in total, nearly three hours of which was travel time looking for whales and finally surrender at looking at Sea Lions and birds on the beach; with maybe one hour sitting on location waiting for whales to breach for a grande total of five minutes of actual whale time from quite a distance away. The best part being behind a small sail boat blocking our view at a critical moment after waiting at least 15 minutes. Also half way through we realized we weren't gonna see any Orca. I've seen more Orca on dry land than on this trip. Maybe those people posting 5star reviews are the most lucky people in life; as it's always a gamble dealing with wildlife

Kerry McKieve

We had a fantastic 4 hour tour with Robyn, we look forward to doing it again! Highly recommend this company!

Tobias Terman Olsen

Amazing tour.. went for the 7 hour zodiac whale watching tour. The guides respect the wildlife and tries to keep there distance and at the same time they do there very best give you the best experience you can get, like placing the boat correctly between the sun and the whale's. Gives all the information you need etc.

David Wilder Photography

The team at Campbell River Whale Watching and Adventure Tours are amazing. Everyone was super friendly and enthusiastic, you can tell they love their job. I had the pleasure to spend two days with them, Stephan and Ashley took care of us on the first day and Robin on the second. Our captains/guides Stephan and Robin were incredibly knowledgeable about the BC coast and the marine life that inhabited it. They both did an amazing job at making sure we saw plenty of wildlife on the water. To Stephans credit he is a skilled captain being able to avoid a humpback whale surfacing at close distance unannounced while traveling at 3/4 throttle. Take about a thrill. They were also very respectful of nature and their marine life, always putting the needs of animals first. Covid-19 safety measures were well implemented. Hand sanitizer, masks and social distancing where available. The only improvement I could see is during the boat portion having more distance by offering less capacity. That being said I can understand and appreciate the need to have a number of passengers to make the tour worth running. The food was great, simple and to the point. Wraps, fruit and hand made granola bars. The bars were seriously good!! So lets talk wildlife, I want to emphasize wildlife can be unpredictable and not everyones experience will be the same so keep that in mind. On the first day we were surrounded by 8-10 humpbacks at one point, we saw 4 orcas, a group of sea lions. Total we saw 15+ humpbacks if I remember correctly. One of which breached. Day 2 we saw less whales but we saw 4-8 orcas and 6-8 or so humpbacks. 2 of which were bubble feeding which Im told is rare to see. Ok time for the bears!!! Day 1 we saw 5-7 grizzly, one female and the rest male. All ranging from 3/4 years to teens. Some of these fellas were huge. Day 2 we saw 5 grizzly and 2 bald eagles. The Klahoose guides Benny and Randy were amazing, they made sure we stayed safe and did a great job working with the other guides to keep eyes on the bears. They were very knowledgable and made sure everyone had a chance to get a glimpse/photo. All in all an amazing experience, a great value considering the distance covered and remote access. Cant wait to come back year after year. Thank you y'all!!

rhonda teramura

Quinn did an amazing job of touring our group of International Students. He expertly educated us all on the area, the sea life and ecological issues which impact the area. We were treated to multiple humpback whale sightings, playful dolphins who came to check out our boats wake, and some comical and noisy sea lions. Thanks for a unforgettable experience Quinn, and everyone at CR Whale Watching Tours! Well done!

Ida Sedghi

The tour was amazing and fun for adults and kids. My 11-year-old son loved it. Our tour guide, Robin, was very good with lots of information. We had a great time and I highly recommend it to you. The lunch was great and very fresh with yummy hot chocolate and coffee!

My wife and I took the 6 hour whale watching tour yesterday (May 1st, 2021). It was the first trip out in the zodiac this season, according to our excellent guide, Jack. As a result we were the only guide boat out on water, and wouldn't benefit from all the information sharing with the other tour operators the usually goes on. It didn't matter at all. We still caught up with a small pod of Orcas in our first hour out. We observed them for a little while before setting out on the highlight of the trip - an extensive tour of the surrounding islands, bays, inlets, narrows, and passages. Jack was full of knowledge, facts, and amusing anecdotes. The zodiac, Ninja, really moves and provided a very comfortable ride even through the chop that the area is known for. It's also fitted up with all the latest safety and nav tech. We had a rare cougar sighting, and watched a brown bear feeding at the water line. On the motor home we tried to catch up with a humpback that was spotted in the area but she eluded us. The chase was fun. The company clearly has a lot of respect for the environment it operates in, and provides a first class outdoor adventure experience. We'll be back in the Fall for the Grizzly Tour. Thanks a lot. Julia and Seth.

My hubby and I had an amazing day with David as our captain! The 4-hr trip was perfect with such beautiful scenery and wildlife. All the staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Will definitely be going back for more!

Jenny O

We booked onto the Whale & Wildlife Tour (second weekend of September) on the Zodiac vessel and it was great! Saw Humpback Whales (3 times during the 4 hour tour), Sea lions, Seals and a pod of Porpoises. The guides are super knowledgable - would highly recommend.

Had a great day bear watching yesterday. Staff was very professional and knowledgeable. We stoped a few times on the way to the bears to watch humpback whales even saw two of them breach at the same time. It was great seeing grizzlies in their natural habitat feeding on salmon. Staff at the First Nations sight was awesome even gave me a sd card for my camera when one of mine stopped working. Definitely worth doing.

Wesley Arents

Awesome experience. I had a great time and spotted a lot of wild life.

David F

Great day out despite bad weather. Tour guide Steve made sure we were safe, kept us well informed about what to look out for and all wildlife we saw on boat ride. Our guide at Toba Inlet Stewart was a mine of information about grizzlies and his passion for their welfare was infectious. They made sure we got some great photos. Amazing experience and I would recommend them to anyone for a memorable experience

Dennis3210

Join the walewatching tour and you have a day you'll never forget. On our full-day tour we've seen 2 orca families, a group of humpbackwhales, sealions and bald eagles. Thanks Jack for this memorable day!!!

genevieve duplain

Our guide Steeve was excellent. A great day!

Kathi Cameron

I have signed up for all the zodiac "adventure tours" in Campbell River and these guys are best by FAR!!!! When they advertise a rapid tour, they provide a rapid tour. The others will advertise but they always turn out to be another whale watching. The "captain" of our ship was extremely knowledgable and well spoken as he toured us around and shared what he knew. The team was welcoming, personable, and overall amazing. I'm going back again this summer. Thanks so much for providing such a professional service. Sincerely, Kathi Cameron

Emma S.

The 6 hour whale watching tour was simply amazing! We saw humpbacks, killer whales, dolphins and much more. Our guide Laurel was so knowledgeable and friendly and made the tour a real treat. Best day ever!

E. R.

What an amazing experience. My wife and I signed up for a tour and Robin was amazing at making us feel comfortable in the vessel, he was very knowledgeable of the area and the wildlife. We signed up for the tour in the covered vessel, and we were impressed by how comfortable it was. Everyone was pleasant, from the first phone call all the way to the debrief after the tour. We definitely recommend this experience, you won't regret it.

BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! That's what I told the people after an amazing day. After traveling and working for a year in Canada, this trip was the best thing we could have done. Steve and Robin provided a day full of wonders, from seeing grizzly bears super close by, orca's till seeing a humpback whale giving a performance for an hour. It was magical. And very true, you can't control wildlife, but these guys kept searching and searching and put in so much effort. What I also loved is how they respect nature. Thanks for that day, those memories will last forever! Also big thanks to Ashley who convinced us to stay longer to do that tour and be so honest about it. You guys rock!

Philip Hinds

We had a great 6-hour marine safari on August 19th 2021. Friendly service all round and impressed with our guide and driver, Robin. Humpback whales, orca, feeding sea lions and wonderful scenery.

Karin Björklund

We did the Toba Inlet grizzly tour in October 2021 are and very satisfied with everything. Saw humpbacks and orcas on the way, and beautiful waterfalls once we entered the Inlet. Our guides Tyler and Stuart were super nice, gave us lots of time to enjoy the bears - we saw 4 grizzlies and 1 black bear - and were happy to share stories from their wildlife viewing adventures. We were only 12 guests to the Toba Inlet that day, so we felt very privileged. Wasn't sure the Toba Inlet would be as good for grizzly watching as the Bute Inlet, but we were not disappointed. The whole day was just great - would do it again.

Daniel Carr

We went to both Bute Inlet and Toba River and the boat ride on the way to both is spectacular – such beautiful scenery. We were also lucky enough to see Humpback whales, a pod of dolphins (who loved putting on a show for us), sea lions and Dall's porpoises on the boat ride up. The tour guides are very good at spotting the wildlife (particularly on clear days) and the time it takes to get to the viewing platform factors in some time viewing wildlife on the way up, so you do also get to spend a fair amount of time waiting for the whales to surface again etc. Both Steve and Tyler were great tour guides. They are both extremely friendly and knowledgeable, sharing lots of information about the wildlife, bears and general area throughout the tour. The grizzly bear viewing is great – the tour guides genuinely want you to get the best viewing experience and are committed to providing that wherever possible. You also feel completely safe at all times on the tour Lunch is provided (a sandwich, crisps/a cookie and an apple) and the tour guide also provides hot drinks (coffee, tea and hot chocolate). Lunch was really good (sometimes packed lunches on tours can be a bit rubbish, but we were pleasantly surprised with how nice the lunch was). The company are also committed to offsetting their carbon footprint each year and generally practicing sustainability which is evident throughout the tour and good to see.

Sam Lavigne

Great experience on the zodiac boat with Tyler. We saw a pod of orcas, a black bear, and several humpback whales on the 4 hour tour. Amazing views and it was wonderful being out on the water when we were just cruising. Tyler had lots of knowledge on the local scenery and history as well as lots of info on the animals.

Ritchie Piessens

Cptn Steve took us for a 4 hour tour. Saw a bald eagle and a lot of humpback whales. Even a mother and her cub. Sea was a bit rough but Steve did a very good job making the trip as comfy as possible. Really enjoyed it, definitely a recommendation!

Alyssa Kennelly

Thank you Robin and Nova for a fabulous day! We did a combo whale watching and kayak tour - we saw tons of whales and sea lions even welcomed the rain while kayaking and calling to the seals - amazing! Such a fun family adventure - knowledgeable, friendly and the lunch was yummy. THANK YOU.

Lyne Desmarais

Great Zodiac ride. Robin was very knowledgeable and fun.

Elinor Bell

We went grizzly bear watching with Robin as our guide and it was spectacular!! We watched 8 grizzlies catching and eating salmon, very close by. Robin gave us lots of information and answered all our questions. He was very patient and happy. The guide for the bear portion of the tour was friendly but gave little information. The boat was comfortable amd warm. The guides were very good about following all the Covid precautions. Would highly recommend this trip!!

Amie Mouneimne

Great tour with very knowledgeable and trustworthy guides. The company takes environmental issues very seriously and respected the proper wildlife guidelines for while we were out. Boats and water jacket suits are clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Elisabeth Lecavalier

We had a whale of a time! Robin was very knowledgeable and quickly responsive to “leads” he received by radio to locate not only dolphins but also orcas, the highlight for most people on board. Comfortable boat, beautiful scenery and a great day! Thank you Robin!! PS we were impressed by the company’s environmental consciousness to offset their carbon footprint.

Marcel D

Very well done. Robin was very informative and professional

Vadim Levin

We had a wonderful trip. We been very lucky to see two types of whales. Our guide Robin was very knowledgeable and professional.

Kelly Merriman

This was a wonderful experience! We saw some Orcas, some hump back whales, some sea lions, and a multitude of birds. Our guide, Robin (aka Batman), was wonderful. He was very pleasant an professional. Robin was a fountain of information about whales and other marine life. He also had a lot of information about Campbell River. The boat was safe and in good condition, and our trusty Batman was a more than capable driver. I would recommend this tour and this company to anyone who is looking for a truly outstanding marine excursion!

Krista Agustin

It was indeed an experienced of a lifetime! Friendly and knowledgeable staff(guide). Worth the time and money.

Hugo Noordijk

We had a great time on the zodiac observing Harbour porpoises, humpback whales, orcas and sea lions. Our guide was very informative and went the extra mile, literally, to give us an amazing experience. Money well spent as we had an incredible afternoon on the water.

That was a amazing trip, i had never experienced before. You can see grizzly bears and whales super close. Experienced and knowledgeable crew members. It is recommended to have a good rest before attend the trip.

J R

They gave us an amazing and informative experience. This was the fourth time my family and I have gone on adventures with Campbell River Whale Watching. It's been different every time, but never lacks fun! And they do always deliver on the respectful animal experiences. :)

Vassilissa Egorova

Wonderful experience! Our guide Steve was great, the boat was comfortable,. Thank you!

David Woodward

Our Grizzly Bear Tour also included a whale watching tour - a super day! It was a long day (6:30 am - 5:00 pm), but so worth it. Robin was an excellent guide and really cared about our experience. Their carbon neutral commitment puts this company above all others. We were provided with healthy and nutritious snacks and lunch alongside knowledgeable guiding to make our day perfect. (The calm weather didn’t hurt ????). If you are going to spend good money to watch bears and whales, you should spend it here.

scott caruth

Great tour and excellent guide, highly recommend this company.

Rosaline Liggins

Amazing day on the water with Peter! We were a large group and they were so accommodating. 2 humpback whales and so many orcas, seal lion and a bear!

Janet Saunderson

We went out just after the skies became filled from smoke from the western US fires...It was eerie AND our captain navigated with such finesse and got us safely out where orcas were cruising. Always at the recommended distance, careful to back away when needed. Then, a special gift and display - 3 (I think) Humpbacks breaching and spinning and rolling - so playful. I learned this - there’s a theory that they breach to knock the excess weight of barnacles - can be up to 1000lb!! A wonderful day.

Erin Naswell

We went on the Ocean Rapids tour. It was just incredible! Our guide was experienced and knowledgeable. I had been on a whale watching tour to the same area a few years ago and it was fascinating to see the same area on a flood tide. It was exhilarating to zip around in the zodiac in the rushing water and the drops we did at the end were just thrilling! I really can’t say enough about what a fun experience this was, a highlight of our summer!

Greg Trehearne

Taya was super helpful and friendly arranging the tour through email, phone and in person meet. Brad was very knowledgeable on both wildlife and area facts. He was very friendly and engaging for conversation. We saw numerous humpbacks, porpoises, sea lions and seals. We got to shoot some rapids and zip around whirlpools at low tide as well. The only down side was the smoke in the area that day, and sadly no orcas or bears. But it was such a fun and educational outing we will definitely be back to try again in the future. I’d highly recommend this tour and company. Well done, you have an exceptional staff working at your company!!!!

Techlike Nikias

I can highly recommend Campbell River Whale Watching and Adventure Tours. I took a tour today and they were so professional: Gave us very comfortable survival suits, gloves, hat and goggles. I didn't feel any cold or wet and the experience was wonderful. We saw orcas, eagles and porpoise. Chances of seeing wildlife are very high and the team is very professional on always in contact to find the best spots. Gladly again.

David Bly

A splendid excursion. Couldn't have been better.

Violet Hyett

Great experience. Two great guides that made us feel safe at all times. A life time experience and one I will never forget. Great day out. Got a history tour of the area that we travelled through by our skipper, Peter how fed and watered us too. Great job. Would do the trip again.

Trish Leger

Had a fabulous Grizzly Bear Watching tour in the Bute Inlet just over 1 wk ago. Beautiful day and my dream of seeing a Grizzly bear in the wild came true. Thank you to Tyler, Quinn & Homalco Nation for their professionalism & knowledge. Saw 3 grizzly bears in total, one coming quite close but we felt safe at all times. Also on the boat to & from we saw 2 humpbacks, stellar sea lion colony and a black bear. Highly recommend Campbell River Whale Watching and I will be back to do more. Next time Toba Inlet for a change. I also have to say my many e-mails to your company prior to the tour booking were handled very professionally as well by Zoe. Your entire team is fabulous from A-Z

Deidre Campbell

The most amazing trip ever! (even in the rain) Great crew! Really knowledgeable and safe. The whales were amazing and the views were spectacular. Can't say enough. Go to Campbell River and do this for sure!

Monique Thompson

When we arrived, we were greeted with pleasant staff. Our knowledgeable guide Quinn, was familiar with the area. He also gave us some information we were not aware of. Example, Stellar sea lions. Quinn found 3 sets of humpback whales. Lots of fluke slapping. We then went to the rapids where we saw the eagles, sea lions and seals. All in all, great trip. Thank you for everything.

Jessica Martin

Clean safe equipment and friendly knowledgeable staff! We saw orcas and humpbacks!

spodzip

4 hours on a Zodiac, observing Marine life in one of the most sought after area was my objective. Last week on a sunny day my dream came true. The ocean was alive with Humpback Whales, Sea-Lions, Seals, Porpoises and diverse Sea- and shorebird activities. Tayler did a fantastic job, explaining behavior of all sea life what came into sight. He was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and approachable. Don't look any further if you plan an Ocean adventure like I did.

Bev Worbets

Trip was fantastic! Guides very knowledgeable, wildlife amazing!! Will return for sure!!

Julie Collis

We had an amazing Grizzly Bear Tour up to Toba Inlet on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Left Campbell River harbour and immediately saw 3 humpbacks off the bottom end of Quadra Island. When we reached Pryce Channel (just before Toba Inlet) we saw another humpback and 3 transient Orcas. What a way to start a full day tour and we hadn't gotten to the grizzlies yet! On land, Randy our Klahoose First Nation guide was great and took us around to a number of the towers that overlook the rivers and the Grizzly bears feasting on the Salmon, in this case Chum Salmon. Thank you to Tyler and the team at CR Whale Watching for taking such great care of us - you made the day very special!

George Cziglan

Our captain Steve, who is also a part owner of the company, is an exceptional individual with passion for nature, our planet and its preservation. Making an extra mile for his clients to see what they came for, while keeping everyone safe and entertained. We spend an extra hour on the water as we unexpectedly run into some orcas on our way back to the port. No fuss, charge. Just enjoying the moment with us.

M C

We had such an awesome experience. Our guide, Brad was awesome and knowledgeable of all the areas. We saw so much wildlife and of course whales! Will definitely check out the other tours they offer!

andrea george

Thank you captain Robin! We enjoyed a fabulous ocean rapids experience and the bonus orca sightings were a gift. We will be back again! Doug & Andréa

My parents and I have done at least a dozen tours with them over the last decade; both with visitors to the area and just the three of us. Each experience is unique and amazing. Due to COVID-19, we didn't leave BC this summer, but, instead did two trips (August and September). Over the years, the patterns of the animals that live in the area has changed. You're more likely to see humpback whales than orcas. If you do see orcas, it's more likely transients than residents. The mountains, however, have stayed put and the scenery is stunning. I think we've had nearly every guide over the years (some multiple times). They are all knowledgeable and love what they do. The nice thing about getting different guides, is that they all have different packets of knowledge, so even when we're in the same spot or see the same animals, they have different stories or information from a different angle. My parents and I have always been very fortunate on our trips and have seen countless orcas, humpback whales, eagles, dolphins, bears, seals, sea lions, dear, elk, and so much more. One of my favourite parts of these tours is that it's never the same twice. I don't that I've even ever gone close the same route twice. (Though, I have been in various inlets and passages multiple times.)

We had a great afternoon with Tyler our guide . He was able to find Orcas, Pacific white sided dolphins , sea lions , 2 porpoises and nesting Cormorant birds. We experienced the tide changing in the late afternoon . He is very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. Thanks for an amazing day !!!

Wow what an amazing day! The guides are so knowledgeable about the entire area, all the wildlife, islands, trees, everything. I’d absolutely go back in a heartbeat

Rob Pickering

Great comfortable boat, with exceptional wildlife viewing. Been on 3 trips with captain Tyler, and enjoyed everyone.

What an epic 4 hour tour! Our Skipper/Guide was awesome, knowledgeable and lots of fun. The landscape and wildlife sights were amazing! We saw everything besides a bear - Humpbacks breaching, pods of Orca's, raft of Sealions, and lots of Eagles and Seals. Great day. I wouldn't hesistate to go again.

Steven Meyer

Great communication. Great service. Great equipment. And, most importantly, great fishing. What more could you ask for.

Found the whales quite quickly and Peter was an informative guide

Incredible day on the water with our Guide, Robin, who was experienced and knowledgeable...but also made it a fun day out. He must have ordered the sun and calm as there couldn't have been a more perfect day...and he must have a connection with Poseidon for all the wild life we were able to see and experience. Humpbacks, harbor seals, dall's porpoises, and very very playful sea lions! Thank you for helping us feel safe on the water outside of and including the Covid precautions which were handled very very well. Oh...and even though at first I thought it was a lot of money .... I realized that for a six hour tour that ALSO was with a company that partnered to contribute to saving our Toba Valley old-growth forest, it was worth every penny.

Wonderful trip. Very well organized and run. Comfortable boat, lots of information and the grizzly bears were amazing to see so close yet safely.

Our 2nd visit here. And it was great again. Saw humpbacks, orcas, Steller sea lions and much more. The tour is worth every cent. Our guide today was fantastic. When we visit Vancouver Island again, we surely book another tour here.

Did the grizzly bear tour and it exceeded my expectations. I have taken lots of tours in different places and this one ranks among the top 3 for sure. Capt Steve and Cheyenne were great guides always answering any questions we had and informing of us things we were seeing on the tour. Was a great day as we saw humpbacks, killer whales, a pod of dolphins and of course grizzly bears.Phenomenal tour! Highly recommend it.
