Hard to believe this is the 50th parallel but there is a cool marker there along the seawalk and someone made a racoon out of beachwood so ya it is totally worthwhile to stop and get out and have a look. Take a wander down the path a bit and enjoy your stroll along the ocean.

Pretty cool to see the parallel nice Ocean View great place for pictures lots of scenery if you're lucky you might be able to see the whales. Luckiest person in the world to live in Campbell River it is so beautiful the scenery the sights and smells the sounds definitely my favorite place in the world proud to be Canadian

The best spot to hang out if you are looking to be on the 50th parallel. It is disappointing if you are trying for the 49th or 51st parallel. Even with the road right there it is still a nice spot to sit down and relax by the water.
