I remember this park from the fifties. Anyone could walk through this park without fear During the day it is not to bad as long as you stay out in the open. Or are walking your dog. I remember as a child of 8 yrs and above we when to the park to play and did not have our parents with us. There were alot of parents there with younger children. But back then as children we were taught to respect our elders. If you were caught doing anything wrong you could be sure when you got home ypur parents already knew. In the park you respected the playground. Everyone would help someone. We could swim in the creek. This park has drug users. And they are not always out in the open. At any given time you can smell weed being smoked. I am so uncomfortable in this once beautiful and cared for park that brought families together.

Went for the Disc Golf course. About 2/3 was maintained, the next 1/3 was overgrown. Overall the course was decent. Smaller than I expected

Nice old growth park with some big gnarly wheeping willows among other trees. Perfect dog walking park but you have to train your dog to leave frisbees alone(good luck with that, just kidding, lol)because there's also a disc golf course through the park. Great spot for taking pictures.

The park isn't very clean, drug addicts and homeless hang there, and immigrants that dont understand the water is dirty swim in it and scare off all the wild life trying to swim along in their habitat, definitely not a place I'd recommend taking your child.

Always nice to walk through there. The grass was freshly cut so it smelled very nice. Some broken glass near the creek though.

I Never Was

Small park, bad characters physically fighting right in front of families (twice in one day), only 3 picnic tables, bottles of urine because of no washroom and potholes everywhere. The gang-like guys in their cars hanging out and making exchanges throughout put a sour taste in our mouths and ruined the day. Not recommended for family picnics or long stays, just good for walking through.

While waiting for my son's hockey game, my daughter and I went for a walk in this park. Passed by a small tunnel near a creek, with ducks and along the oathway, lots of greeneries and wisreria trees....enjoyed our little qalk in a crispy morning..

This was a beautiful location minus surrounding construction! Only other downside was that we couldn't find bathrooms and the porta-potty had no soap or sanitizer which caused chaos with my kiddo lol (and ours ran out ugh!) Otherwise, the park was well maintained. Beautiful views. Looks like great trails and just a lovely surprise!!

We really enjoyed walking through this park with our eight year-old niece. We walked through some trails under a couple of bridges, around the river and to the main park area with the playgrounds. The swings are separated from the playground, on the other side of the splash pad area, which I found a little odd but it didn't deter our little one from zooming back and forth between the two play areas. There are benches (that don't face the playground), a tennis court and portapotties available also. If you're looking for a nice park to relax in with or without kiddos, this is a great spot. There are a few Pokemon Go stops as well, for the gamers! :)

Pretty nice park. There's a disc golf course and plenty of trails. The creek is pretty, but there's definitely parts of the bank that are eroding and need attention. The playground is okay, certainly could use a refresh. Ball diamond, pool, pavilion and tennis courts also provide some variety, but may be affected by COVID. Overall a decent park.

This place is absolutely beautiful! The willow trees and the river running through it were the key selling features for me. There were ducks with their ducklings, birds singing, and even a neighbourhood barbecue going on when I visited. Stunning! I would love to visit with a good book and just spend hours reading. Plus, saw a cute little baby turtle while I was there. And I adored the tunnel going under the nearby road.

Good place for picnics by the river, kids can play at the splash pad, swings and slides. Professional Tennis courts near by as well! Lots of room in the park for dogs to run and play.

This is a great park for a stroll, especially with kids and dogs, lots of room to run, splash pad in the summer, great Creek and pond for mucky play, has a large pavilion for family picnics and such, multiple baseball diamonds, tunnels under Dundas, lots of parking, connects to other trails that can take you throughout Galt, great gardens in the summer which lots of people use for wedding photos.

It WOULD be a great place for kids to play and have picnics and play in the creek. Unfortunately “Tent city “ has moved in and haven’t left. AKA homeless people as well as drug addicts. Not a place for kids anymore sadly.

Soper Park has a splash pad, a playground and some picnic tables. It is also home to the Cambridge Tennis Club. A creek runs through the park and has a bring allowing one to cross over. Some people fish in the creek and others will swim on hot days.

I travel into downtown cambridge for work every day, this park means that some of that commute (if I'm biking) can be through a nice park beside a river rather than battling traffic. I just wish there was a way to connect it with the Northway Heights Trails to travel all the way from Canamara on the trails

This is a great park that is located beside a little river. The playground has been modernized, there are swings, a splash pad, lots of open area, a pavilion, trails, baseball diamonds, tennis courts and a garden.

I like the park. We restocked the fish in the river last year. My kids learned to swim here years ago. They cleaned up the park and added a frisbee golf. But, the people walking through at night are dangerous. People use the park to shoot up. Many cases of overdose as I work at Gore Insurance company and see it every day. Hope things get better soon.

Love this park. Been going for over 40 years! Started as a kid and then brought the kids I babysat and then brought my kids and now I bring my furbabies! Can't wait to bring grandkids too! Busier on weekends than through the week. And apparently most people don't walk there dogs in the rain!? Who knew? Lol!

Went for the disc golf course. Its so so. The park is very nice though. A fair bit of homeless living in and around the park, tents, sleeping bags etc scattered throughout the forest areas. The park has some issues but it makes for a nice walk

The park is neglected because of the Cities back to the Natural Effect! As a child, Soper Park was a family fun magical place! The many fragrant pink Peonies and Wren bird houses edging the entrance near the Kinsman pool! The sparkling creek pool was cleaned by firemen and filled with kids having fun in the swimming pool and playing at the dams! Park grounds were maintained and well manicured. We spent many exciting hours on the swings , teeter totters, witches hat, merri go round, horses, monkey bars and slides that were entertaining fun for all the young and old! What a cost cut memory loss!

Disc golf here is great. Forward ts. And regular t. Give great options for all levels. You can play the 6 front ts 3 times or add the 3 ts that are in the woods
