Beautiful Park, especially in the fall

Not many people go there, so it's the best during covid (or if your kids/siblings fight like maniacs in public spots) There are tough slopes so bike at your risk ;-)

Beautiful green space in the neighbourhood with great view. The trail is stroller or bike accessible partially. I would just hike next time. I had to carry my kids bike and scooter all the way up and down. So I would suggest encourage them to walk if you are hiking in The Great Trail

Enjoyed our first time there and we arrived at the perfect time and got a parking spot. Beautiful place and the view of the river was spectacular. Just be careful as there are many icy patches. I used my walking sticks and they were helpful. Highly recommend this place and I look forward to returning there to see how it looks every season.

Nice trails and lots of trees. Wish the road and parking area was made larger and maintained properly. Seems more like a figure out your own way around, wish is fun also.

Really great view of the river. Trail can be icy so bring spikes if you have them. Only downside is that it's not that far from the city (it's inside the city basically)

It's a really beautiful park to go for a walk, run, bike or even sit down and enjoy the view of Grand River and listen to the sound of birds and trees, but beware of the many bugs and spiders; it would be safer to use bug spray. The hiking trail is mostly flat and passes through the trees and is extra beautiful in the summer time and beginning of the fall season when leaves turn color.

This trailsystem is so close to residents of the Waterloo Region. It's a beautiful oasis in the middle of a busy urban area.

Nice trail not too difficult except over gravelling in parts of the trail. Runs along the Grand River. A bit stinky near the water treatment plant especially when humid. Parts of the trail has railings which makes it a bit narrow during Covid times. Saw lots of frogs, snake, ducks, etc.

Great place to go for a walk through the woods along the Grand River. It has become more popular of late (which is unfortunate for those of us who have this park as our backyards).

A nice park with a beautiful view overlooking the Grand River. The trails are great for hiking and cycling. There is one spot on the the trail that had rocks and could be slippery when cycling

I’ve lived in Kitchener over 20 years and only heard about this place earlier this summer. Good quality trails, a nice outlook over the Grand River (felt a bit naughty going through the fence though ????) and lots of opportunities to go off the beaten path to explore.

I liked the view of the park and the trails, but there are not so many signs indicating the directions inside the park. Down the hill in the trail, where you can get closer to the river, you can find some areas that are been repaired, apparently a long time now. I saw a lot of small animals such as birds, dragonflies, butterflies and a frog. If you go in the summer, be prepared for the mosquitoes though!

Very pristine park with a main trail the grand trail and numerous side trails. Good for walking, running and little steep at times for biking. Over all good experience with the in and out trail with two trail heads both having limited but free parking. Bring your water, bug spray and enjoy the trail above and around the stream.

It's a beautiful place with trees and forest on both side of road. There are trails on both sides of road and one trail past a park setting that goes for a ways. A nice place to get away to in the good weather.

This indeed is a lovely place for a walk anytime of the year. Whether it's winter a beautiful white snow seeing the river clearly below which is approximately 100 to 120 ft down. You can also walk right down to the river edge at any time of the year. ( Of course be careful when it's icy) The amazing things about these trails along the Grand River is that every season is different. In winter you can enjoy clear views to the water below, and spring you get to see the trees with new foliage. While in the summer you need to enjoy the trees in foliage and really walk to the river for a clear view. Then of course there's fall with the amazing fall colors that can be seen as you're walking on the trail and as you get to the lookout. For sure one of the best fall views in the area.

A month doesn’t go by that we don’t visit this park. The trails are fantastic and the hills provide a great variety of adventures all seasons. The creek and river provide times to watch nature unfold and for play. We bring garbage bags every time to clean up, stop littering and carry out your waste and recycling! Multiple parking lots (3) make it easy to approach from the north, west or south. The approach trail that comes in along the creek is closed due to the construction of the Bleams road extension bridge. Once it reopens it makes a great way to explore on bikes, scooter or blades on the smooth and fun paved main pathway.

Lovely mostly flat walk along the woods. Wear full body coverings or use a bug spray as the wooded area has a lot of mosquitoes esp during summer.

Very peaceful, fall colours in full effect, all Instagram worthy, nice trail, good social distancing, parking is horrendous. Watch out for cyclists practicing for their next Olympic marathon.
