This piece by Jaume Plensa has become an iconic part of downtown Calgary. It's delightful, especially in the evening. They're keeping it in very good condition, which is wonderful and important with work like this. Unfortunately, the Norman Foster designed building it sits in front of us not publicly accessible, which is too bad. It's still a nice part of the city skyline. There's a nice concentration of interesting architecture and urban design in this part of the city now.

If you are just visiting or living in the city this place is awesome to check out. As an avid photographer I find it a very easy spot to take some really cool shots, especially at night due to the lights around the statue. If you are not into photography it's still a great sculpture to check out. The mesh like face is very cool to look at and the ability to walk through the center is also an added attraction. As you look at it you will begin to wonder how the thing was made, it amazing when you think about it. I also found out after a little research that the face was modeled after a little girl which only makes it more amazing as it's a real face that was turned into and amazing modem sculpture!

This is a popular photo spot for internet celebrities. It is 39 feet tall, cast from steel and designed by designer Jaume Plensa. It has two door-sized openings, and there are always people taking pictures there. The wonderland statue does not look peculiar. If you want to find the bright spot, you must stand inside and look up. You can see a frontal human face. Through the human face, the blue sky, white clouds and skyscrapers can be seen. It is said that the lighting effect at night is even more cool.
