We offer you all the opinions of people who consume the products and services of Scotsman's Hill (Tourist Attraction) in the area close to Calgary (Canada).
At the moment the business has a score of 4.8 over 5 and this rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is basically the highest, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the valuation is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to rate when they are satisfied with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction belongs to the category of Scenic spot.
Great spot for viewing Calgary's downtown core, with great angles of the Bow, Calgary Tower, and the Saddledome in the foreground.
Beautiful sunsets and sunrises here. Perfect for a picnic on a nice summer evening.
Great view of the Calgary skyline! It's in a neighbourhood so there's no actual parking lot but there's plenty of street parking available around! There's a lot of benches as well which provides a tranquil view to watch and look at the City of Calgary!
Great for scienic view. Clear morning Good view of the Rocky Mountains
Good for jogging and fresh air.
Best sunset view you can see from here. Also a place to see fireworks. well maintained.
If you are looking for a picture perfect spot to view the downtown Calgary's skyline, this is it!
I love going to Scotsman's Hill to grab photos of the skyline or to relax and take in the view! It's a beautiful area and is a "hidden" asset in Calgary. There's usually not many people on the Hill and there's lots of parking on the side of the road. Also, there's a set of stairs (~6 minute walk down) to reach the pathways by the river.
This place is giving the best view of the city!!
This is definitely one of the best places to get great views in Calgary. It always looks peaceful and serene. It's pretty hard to see the Elbow river from here, very well, but you can mostly, if you just walk down the Valley.
Always come here when I need a beautiful view.
Incredible views of downtown and the Saddledome. Unique and beautiful homes to enjoy at top of hill (Ramsey) The steps are a great workout!
All the best shots of Calgary are taken from this spot. It's also great for people watching because of all the future tictok stars here.
Amazing place. The houses there must feel like million bucks waking everyday to a view like that. I took the flights of stairs up from the stampede to the hill and was not expecting to see the that kind of view from the top. You can see the city skyline, the Saddledome, and the incredible rockies. The park is also clean, and there are benches for you to sit on and just observe. Incredible!
Great view of the Calgary skyline. Parking is a bit hard to find but it's worth finding for the scenic view. There are also pathways and stairs to get here on foot. Would definitely recommend for a trip to Calgary or a park picnic.
good view of downtown and the saddledome
It's an amazing place to watch fireworks!!!! But also a nice view overlooking Stampede ground and downtown. Just a little small and right in front of private housing.
Pretty view. Didn't spend more than 5 min though. The city should add a few picnic tables
It's the best view in Calgary Alberta Canada there is bench spread out for a great distance between each other you can enjoy your time in privacy and the best view of stampede grounds it's beautiful in the day but at night it looks like a water painting just the way the colors of the sky and the building and downtown with stampede grounds and Scotiabank Saddledome people there are great I always meet new people you will remember your time spent there it beautiful
This is one of the best places to get a great view of the Calgary downtown skyline. Another great place is at Crescent Heights (not sure if that's the actual name for it). At Scotsman's Hill, you can see the skyscrapers, Saddledome, and Calgary Tower. It's perfect for picnics, walks, and chilling. Also be sure to check out the cool houses along the path as some of them are very unique!
Best view of the sunset and Calgary's insane storms
Had a really great time with friend's. We had a picnic, and watch Calgary Stampede fireworks. It was a gorgeous view of Victoria Park, and Stampede Grounds.
Beautiful views of the skyline.
Great place to watch the Stampede fireworks from, and great views of downtown and the mountains the rest of the year!
I'm from out of town and couldn't believe how cool the city view was form here. Not busy on a Sunday at all. Worth the view before you head to the mountains for your trip.
Always a great spot to take in the view and a great sunset watching area. Can be crowded during nice weather or Stampede but is well worth the stop.
Amazing viewpoint for day and night!
Best view of Calgary and Stampede park! Just breathtaking????
the view is scenic but the downside their is parking lot available
It was beautiful to see the city view from the hill
Stunning views of downtown Calgary. Very quiet and charming, and a wonderful spot to take pictures. We went close to sunset and it was honestly spectacular. 10/10 recommend
Loved seeing the fire works shoot off from here! One of the best places to see them and see them shot off from!
Probably one of my favorite views in the city. Now, with the new announcement that they are looking to tear down the Saddledome I highly recommend getting a beautiful picture of the city's downtown area sooner than later
This place offers a great view of the Calgary skyline and the Saddledome. The park looks like a nice play to relax but there is no legal place to park your car around here as it is a residential area unless you park further away and walk. Anyway the view is picturesque and its windy. Definitely worth stopping to enjoy the view even if it is for short while.
Amazing views of the city and great place for a picnic
One of the best spots to get great pictures of the city skyline. Sunset over the mountains is a particularly great time to take photos here.
Great view of today's storm from Scotsman Hill. Beautiful!
Wonderful fireworks this evening
Here you feep the breeze flowing through you. A perfect city and planned. If I had a job offer I shouod have been move here..
Is there a more iconic photo local in Calgary that isn't 14st Nosehill?
Beautiful view of downtown Calgary. Dog friendly.
Scottsmans hill Stairway
A great place for some pictures...
Beautiful view of downtown and the Rockies
Beautiful view Calgary Downtown.
Good place for a short evening hike with a good city view from the top.
So happy to see different Tipis from the members of Canada's First Nation and getting and seeing a glimpse of their wonderful arts, craftsmanship and culture. I am honored to stand beside one of the members of the First Nations and seeing closely how beautiful her native dress is. It is so intricate and colorful.
It was awsome. I loved the veiw so much
Spectacular spot to take photos or just to admire the beauty of Calgary
Best spot to watch the fireworks during stampede hands down. Plus really just a great spot to check out the city. Best view point of the saddledome and you can even see the (small) Calgary tower in the shot! Def a good spot to check out if you are new to Calgary or have lived there forever.
Took 9 members of the Calgary Nature Lovers Meetup group there today. We walked along the river from Pearce Estates Park then through Ramsay. It was a beautiful view!!
Awesome place to hangout and take in fresh air! Amazing views and one of the best spots to take photos in Calgary. I would recommend parking on a side street as parking enforcement comes by often.
Picturesque especially at sunset ????
Beautiful area to see Calgary city from the top. Easy access also. Good place to sit on the bench and relax while seeing the scenery. The most seen attraction if you visit Calgary.
Scotman’s hill is located at the Ramsey community, east of Elbow River. A must visit and best lookout place in Calgary. Absolutely STUNNING view.
Good place to take your date
Great view of Saddledome and Calgary !! Must beware of dogs as it is an off leash area !
Easy to access and great view of Calgary skyline.
Such a great lookout in Calgary.
It is a nice scenic spot to go along with friends or family.
Nice place to view downtown
so good.
Really nice view!
Gorgeous views of downtown overlooking the stampede grounds. The whole area is designated an off-leash dog park. It's a great spot as long as your dog has good recall. My dog is reasonably good and learned quickly to stay within the fenced boundary. There is a low fence with a cable which acts as a guideline for the edge of the park but is not a barrier to prevent dogs going onto the road. There is often at least one other dog at the park. Even though it's an off-leash park, it's a popular spot for those without dogs to come and take in the views.
As an off season destination the area has things to offer. We took in the sights and swore we could still heard the cheering crowds of the Stamped.
A perfect view to see downtown Calgary skyline .
Nice place to go for a walk with a nice view of the stadium
Great view of the city. Got to shoot an ad for Purolator with this view.
A good place to walk dogs and see the city
Lovely place to overlook the downtown.
Best place in city to watch stampede fireworks. The hill is situated just south of stampede park and offers the best view of fireworks during stampede. Apart from this, this has "off-leash" area for dogs and the views are amazing. Surrounded by many breweries, this is really good option for exercise & walk for any day. Even the neighbourhood is also very nice which makes this place unique.
Nice spot. I noticed they put a lot of reserved parking and no parking signs as in the past this area becomes over crowded. It's a peaceful place, be sure to respect the area!
Love this area! Beautiful views of the city and mountains. It's close to the Stampede grounds too for added scenery. Lots of parking and there's benches to have a sitdown. I often go here with some food and just take in the view.
Its a nice view of calgary downtown and even you can see mountains from there
This is the spot to be at if you wanna see the skyline of Calgary as it’s very easy to access with ample parking space! As a tourist, this was a must visit for us and we loved walking around the area during day time and at night. I think it’s a perfect spot to have picnics during summer. You can take the stairs to go down the hill as well. We weren’t able to catch any sunset as it was very cloudy on the day we visited but I can imagine that sunset would be spectacular from this lookout ☺️
This place is one of the favourite place which witness the amalgamation natural and man-made beauty. A perfect place to visit whether it's a soothing evening walk on a summer day, or witnessing an early sunset after a short cold winter day from inside the comfort of the car, this scenic point got it all covered. It is on my favourite places in Calgary. To add to the bonus, it's one of the best place to view fireworks, whether it's New Year, Canada Day or famous Stampede Fireworks. It's closeness to Scotiabank Saddledome centre makes it quite special and add to it's already great beauty as well. If you are a Calgarian you might've know this place already (if not then please visit, you won't be disappointed). If you are just visiting Calgary even for a short trip, this is a must visit place specially to view the gorgeous sunsets and night downtown beauty.
Great view of the city, anytime of day.
Amazing view of downtown and Stampede park. Best to visit after sunset to see gorgeous skyline of Calgary and illumination in Stampede Park. Best place to watch Stampede Fireworks. Only weekend and holidays it gets busier and sometimes hard to find perfect spot for parking.
Nice spot for a overview sceniview of calgary downtown.
One of the best place you can see Calgary's skyscrapers!! :) I was there a but early but if you go there after sunset, you would see a great night down town view! Highly recommend for couples, family and a dog owners!!(It's off leash zone)
This is the best place to experience Calgary Skyline. Must visit.
Nice Park for walking long distances
Amazing view!
Nice view ! One thing I couldn’t like here is too many mosquitos
You can view the whole downtown from here. Pictures are breath taking.
Nice place to spend a sunny day. Can't wait for the Stampede.
Great spot to go look at the cityscape, especially at night. Never overly crowded, unless there's fireworks downtown
It was great best part of the city for viewing
One of the best places for Calgary skyline.
Nice views of the city and saddledome. Due to parking restrictions need to park a bit further and walk to the park.
I live here so I love it !!! Great place for fireworks and just relaxing looking over downtown calgary
One of the best views of Stampede grounds and downtown.
As hills go it is pretty nice. Didn't see any Scottish people though...
Nice place to have a view of downtown.
Nice place in the big city like Calgary to enjoy sun sets through skyscrapers of the city.
It's not a bad place to go to, as long as you have a car to get there. Great place to watch the fireworks for stampede if your into that kind of thing. But other then that there's not much else you can do. Most people go there and stay in their car then drive off to where ever people go these days. As for walking, there isn't much to walk to really.
Love the scenery since I was a young boy....Stampede fireworks always the best view or just to escape for few hours good for the inner being
I went there because it is supposingly an off leash dog park, and they are signs saying so. Oh, you need a parking permit... For the park, incredible view of the city, and particularly the Stampede grounds. Major problem: there were a lot of people without dog, no problem there. The actual problem, some were having food, in the dog park, and if there is 1 thing dogs are attracted to is food. If anything happens because of that, the dog and especially the owner will be in such trouble because of people not be aware of dogs or caring...
Really cool view. This is the spot for a break.
The greatest place to take a photo of Vancouver’s landscape! IG: @chezabelll
