Not that good I have expected. May be because of August.
Great place on a beautiful day while distancing. Next time I'm bringing a picnic.
Beautiful gardens with friendly and knowledgeable staff and volunteers. So glad we have the season family membership.
Line up was absolutely insane. Turned around and left :( very disappointing.
Visited the main building and garden and the Rock Garden today for a quiet walkabout. Most blooms are in midseason right now.
I love this trail. The bird and chipmunks are very friendly. Just be careful of the big wildlife... We almost got run over by a giant deer.
For 50th quarantine bday, had an amazing evening. Long cold lineup was worth the wait. Staff was friendly and patient.
Nice place but not enough for what you pay for.
A brilliant place for the family. Be prepared to walk.
Amazing place to go as family, or friends. Clean, organized, gardens are really big, loved the Mediterranean Garden, charged your camera, phone, and enjoy great pictures, locations, and fresh air.
Real Bad
Thr RBG have put on an amazing heartwarming winter wonderland show at Hendrie Park. This is a self guided walk through with several well lit displays. None of the liy displays have moving lights but that doesn't dampen the holiday spirit. A wonder evening with the family. Come dressed warm the walk will take a good 1 to 1.5 hours.
Seeing the invisible in RBG
I can't wait to see the gardens in bloom! Winter was quite the lack-lustre time to visit. There should have been some steeper discounts on attending when there wasn't much to look at and the indoor area was barricaded by plants.
This holiday season the light work was decent, but not worth the cost it takes to get inside. Overall I really like the cleanliness of the building, and the garden is quite large to walk around.
i love the lights, very impressive
It's beautiful, relaxing and a treasure!
Beautiful rose garden with a reflecting pool in the middle. There are some short trails around the central garden, as well as a boardwalk. During winter, they have a Christmas train and Santa Claus visits. There is a newly refurbished fountain area that is relaxing and full of scented flowers in summer.
Only saw 2 areas of 5 and it took a few hours. The diversity of plants and trees and the fact that they withstand our winters is kind of amazing. 3.39 for a coffee is ridiculous though.
Very bad experience, there is nothing interesting to see, not even flowers! Staff is horrible, as I asked on the phone if the Resturant was open and they said yes, we came in & it was closed. And it’s too expensive, absolutely not worth your money. We also asked for a refund & they refused in a very rude way. Definitely not recommend!!!!
Lovely. Relaxing. Beautiful. 3 gardens are included in admission. Too hot to walk the trail so we drove to 2. Follow the arrows at the rock garden. Some trails at RBG were closed off where social distancing isn't possible. The irises and peonies are finished right now so we didn't visit the 3rd park. The roses were mostly spent. Very few lilies. Maybe it's the heat. Wasn't overwhelmed with the flowers in bloom mid July. Next time I'll visit in June. The designs, ponds, atmosphere were still lovely.
Great way to admire the beauty of nature
What an amazing area to visit and walk through. Flowers and ponds and I love the idea of dye in the water. Perfect for photography and not being able to see the bottom. Just smooth perfect water features.
Beautiful place to spend an afternoon. Lots of tame wildlife to see and enjoy. This area is always well maintained and I don’t mind the pay parking to help support the park. If I lived closer I’d definitely be getting an annual pass to RBG.
Nice natural trail. Beautiful in fall!
Worth a visit! Wonderful indoor and outdoor displays.
This trail is excellent. There is paid parking here, but free if you purchase admission to the main gardens. Just speak to the from desk and they will give you a pass to park in this trails lot. Trails along the water are great for bird watching. There is a long board walk section which is cool. Another dirt trail along the river is usually less busy than the boardwalk one. Great spot to see local birds and animals.
Awesome. Had never been here except for the christmas lights, no cpmplaonts really. We and the kids all enjoyed it
fantastic park! That was a wonderful experience to be surrounded by colorful and different kinds of roses. Good sights for photographing everywhere.
Great walk
Amazing Christmas display! Insane lineup though
It’s a great place to go for an intimate walk or to take the family out. The pictures are a bit deceiving and as a result they aren’t 100% accurate for the winter wonders event.
Feel the nature at this wonderful and well maintained gardens.
Beautiful and well maintained place. You feel very close to the nature. The admission fee might be little on the higher side though.
Good place to visit
We love going on hikes here. Always lots of wildlife that will eat out of your hand
A little pricey at $18 but a lovely place overall for a hike. Great that they have free electric vehicle charging.
Went originally for Spiders Alive exhibit which was cool but a tad underwhelming. There were only two indoor gardens open as it is still vwry cold out but they were absolutely beautiful. I cannot wait to go visit in the summer when I can explore the outdoor gardens. We ate at the cafe, the prices were a tad high but the food was more than amazing so it was worth it! Highly recommence the meat pie!
Beautiful, charming place.
An enjoyable outing, informative spider display, great gift shop, friendly staff/volunteers, visited greenhouse gardens and spring bulb display, (what a great way to spend a winter day) Saved money using admission fees against the yearly membership fee,and there's lots of parking !
Such a great place to spend the day
Just a beautiful place to relax, admire and capture moments in nature. Wander and learn about possible specimens for your own garden. COVID19 protocols are clearly visible and respected.
I am proud of the people who is watching and taking care of these plants.
Great place to spend a morning or afternoon. The Mediterranean garden is very well kept, definitely a great place for garden enthusiasts to visit. Easterbrook a is right across the street, great hotdog place. The oak tree forest is also very impressive.
Always a good place for a leisurely walk
The gardens are a beautiful place to visit. With Covid restrictions the in doors is limited (you will need a msak to use the bathrooms and gain entrance). Outside is a couple of hours max to walk around at the main site. Mostly in the sun so wear a hat and sunscreen.
The holiday light show was fantastic. Loved the tea house.
It's paradise.
Its a beautiful garden!
We came late in the Blooming season also after multi day heat wave (end of August) so naturally the plants were not in their prime. I'm sure it's magnificent in spring time! The roses were stunning when we went though.
Beautiful place to visit in spring and summer with many flowers and other plants.
Went with another couple to see the Christmas light show. Stood in line ???? n the cold for an hour to get in. Bundle up before you go. $18.00 per person seems a bit pricey, but the light show was nice, and took about an hour to walk the serpentine route. If you haven't seen this you should go. Bring the kids.
Lovely rose garden, vegetable garden and hiking trails. There is a small tea house that serves a nice selection of coffee and baked goods. There's a comfortable patio to lounge. The gift shop in the main building has great items at …
Great diversity of plants and flowers, colourful and well laid out. Good management of people flow with Covid regulations.
Excellent job distancing, very clean and staff are extremely knowledgeable.
We've gone here about twice so far this year and its one of our favorites gardens to visit. Its such a huge place and they have other parts to explore, hopefully next year we will be able to see more of it. Kid friendly, plenty of parking, helpful and knowledgeable staff. We were able to attend the Winter festival this year and it was great!
Visit only during spring or summer. Courteous staff
This place is great! It is so kid friendly. There are Chipmunks and birds that eat out of your hand, as well as a beautiful nature hike!
Very refreshing place to visit.
Such a spectacular array of gardens connected by trails or easy access parking across the lush green area. Fresh oxygen, blissful mind completes my day with a glimpse of the Lotus pond. Love the place. Worth the visit.
So beautiful! You can't help but leave feeling more at peace with life. Gift shop has some really cool stuff too!
Roses were past their prime, but the lily display was beautiful.
Really depends on the time of year you go. Always calm and beautiful though ...
Very beautiful. Excellent place to relax
The Christmas Light Show was fantastic.
Quite an experience. Enjoyed every moment of it
Love this place, they are doing so much for conservation and environment. Beautifully well kept gardens
A fantastic place to enjoy a family weekend. The kid really loves the Magic show.
Very relaxing.
Just loved it! There are a few gardens next to each other (try to visit all since each is so different), so relaxing and with a ton of photo ops!
Nice garden, great roses.
One of the best places in southwestern Ontario to go as a couple or for a fun day out as a family. Tons of trails and different gardens to go through. So many infact that you'll probably have to come a few times to see it all.
Spider exhibit was educational but smaller that I excepted. The indoor garden was spectacular!
Beautiful Park with nice pathway to walk around. Has Cafeteria and washrooms. Has the facility to get membership for other Royal Botanical parks as well.
Beautiful, expansive, accessible gardens. Cafe with food and beverage options for sale. Lovely, air conditioned main building with washroom facilities and gift shop. Large parking lot. Parking is free. Fees for visiting the gardens is worth the price.
Such an amazing experience.
Parking is free. The Christmas lights were beautiful. A great evening with the whole family. Enjoyed our hour walk in the gardens.
Awesome! Definitely worth a visit
2nd posting. Love this place. It is just so peaceful. Go there to enjoy the beauty of the place & relax.
My wife and I first visited this great garden last summer and are now regulars. So well taken care of so peaceful and so fragrant. Across the street is a great trail that you absolutely need to walk Picture perfect!
Winter light festival is wonderful ❤
beautiful must see gardens in burlington ontario. Part of five gardens. ????
Nice for a stroll amongst the plants. Also good for butterfly lovers.
Wonderland of plants. Numerous paths to walk for hours if you want.
We love the RBG! We are members here - it is amazing to find this area of beauty in such an industrial city. Our favourite is the Rock Garden - it is stunning all year round.
Beautiful, as usual. The RBG after dark event was great! Good dj
Really nice place to visit. Plan to spend at least half a day here to take everything in.
Awesome place
Went to Hendrie park for Winter Wonders and wasn't disappointed.
Beautiful park with a lot of things to do. Plenty of rougher trails and paved paths to walk around. There's a little cafe that serves snacks. Theres also a tunnel to the main building which is nice. Everything was friendly and helpful.
This place is amazing.
This is a beautiful garden. It's only open in the warmer months but has a great variety of flower and other plant displays. They also have some sculptures and nice smaller lawns. They have recently planted a beautiful rose garden with many varieties of roses which is well worth looking at. Look on their website to find out the best time for visiting as the roses do whither over the summer, especially in very hot weather. to get to this place you need to go to the main building and there is a tunnel under the road which will allow you access to these gardens.
We had an Animist retreat at the RBG and it was beautiful! All of the spring bloom was vibrant outside, and the inner gardens were incredible. The cafe was a great lunch and we didn't even get to see everything! We will definitely be going back every season.
A must visit with loved ones! ❤
We had a great day with both parents and kids
Mmmmmm yummy
Great experience. Just good enough to get into the Christmas spirit. Just wish they had more fire pit stations to warm up quickly. But otherwise definitely worth it!
Hot day but beautiful combination of indoor and outdoor gardens. Brought our little newborn and very accessible
First visit, loved it!! Appreciating the beauty of nature
Not much sign showing what everything is, bit organized. You have to drive between parks which is not very convenient.
Love this place! Worth to check it more often.
First time visitor. Loved it
Great Christmas light walk through
Awesome place to be there in group family or garden lovers
Amazing care and passion felt in every detail...
Attended the Winter Lights event with my wife and we really enjoyed it. About a 50 minute walk through the colourful displays.
Great place
Great place to spend outdoors any time of the season. Lots of fantastic special events.
Nice garden
Very royal feel to this area in the shape of a pyramid. 680 Plains Rd seems to honor Princess Diana and her brethren in various ways, 68875 licence plate on her limosine, etc., indicating her and its importance. Near Spencer Hyde Park in Burlington, Ontario, CAN. In any event, it is a beautiful place to scout around and become acclimated to.
It was wonderful to bring the family again. A GOOD time for all. The dual family plus membership is so worth the investment.
The collection is large and the grinds are large and well-kept. Staff is extremely friendly. It is an excellent way to spend a day outdoors, in the beauty of nature, while potentially staying entirely on paved surfaces. There are also hiking trails, etc.
We went to check this out so hubby can put in his youtube channel. We ended up upgrading to one year membership. Beautiful place ro visit, hold an event and or just rest. Its also pet friendly and Nala enjoyed her visit. We will definitely come back to visit the other parks.
Very nice place, variety of exotic plants, flowers and trees . In the garden there are also contemprary sculptures.
Beautiful gardens and a great way to spend the day.
We will visit again with friends
We took the youngest grandkids. The Christmas lights were fantastic. There were the usual inconsiderate jerks who didn't follow protocol but there was enough room to avoid them. Great volunteers.
Outdated lighting. They could have added more lighting.
Great music. Well organized. Lots of parking. Had a very tasty lunch in the Cafe.
A lovely reason to get out of the house. The snow had melted or it would have been even nicer. There was a line up to get in but it was maybe 10 minutes so not bad. There are snacks and drinks available at the tea house, we enjoyed hot chocolate as we walked.
The indoor gardens are beautiful. You can imagine you are in a topical place.
Beautiful way to spend my birthday!
Beautiful spirit Halloween decorations safely...
Very well organized and beautifully kept
Beautiful garden
Not a good time to visit in Aug as most of the flowers were out of season. Hendri park the flowers were ok. Good place to walk around though
Beautiful and peaceful. Perfect place to spend the day with someone or alone.
These gardens are just beautiful you can see how much work has gone on during the shutdown it's a real treasure take a few hours and check out RBG you will be impressed
I love this section of Royal Botanical Gardens. The trees are brilliant with Autumn colour and the pumpkins for the Pumpkin Walk are out in full force, adding another fun seasonal note. Despite being well into the fall there are still a lot of rose blooms to enjoy, while other plants have grown their rose hips and are still interesting. A lot of the companion plantings are coming into their own now and make a joyous display where roses may be a bit sparse.
Wide path to distance, clear signs for one way trail and fabulous wildlife and plants
First visit to well kept gardens, very helpful staff and informative boards throughout the garden. We arrived at 1500 on Wednesday. Our first stop was the Tea Rooms only two menu food items left , however they were both tasty. Look forward to another visit in Spring or earlier in the Summer.
The fall roses are still looking lovely!
We went there for the Christmas light display .. very well done.. takes about an hour to go thru. The staff were fantastic .
Royal Botanic Garden in Burlington, decorated with such beautiful Xmas lighting and music on the background, It was amazing.
Its fabulous. Went for bridal shower. The food was really really really good. A cold table with roasted red pepper soup, a tossed spring mix salad with scrumtious vinigrette dressing. My favourite was the spiral pasta salad with lots of fresh from the garden basil and toasted vegetables. Excellent sandwiches and wraps. The venue was exceptional. Love this place.
Fall Tour. Great overall experience even with autumn timing. Trails were well maintained, not as busy as in summer months. Staff was friendly and assisted with directions throughout the tour. Lots of room for kids to run and explore. …
Great magical place..
Nice Christmas lightings and decorations. Staffs and volunteers are very well-behaved and knowledgeable. But, considering the financial conditions of people during this hard Covid period, the entry fee can be considered to be reduced. This will allow more and more people to enjoy the place with their family and let them have good time here.
Always love coming here. I found there was still a lot of interesting plants in the gardens this late in the year. The fennel out in the veggie gardens area is enormous right now and smells fantastic. …
Great friendly staff. Rose's in bloom.
The gardens are always lovely!! Walked through the Rose garden and over to the Rock garden.
Lovely place to have a contemplative stroll. My only knock would be that a vehicle is required to visit all of the gardens as they are not interconnected.
This was my first time going and I enjoyed myself walking around viewing the gardens and huge property. I went the end of October and lots of beautiful views, probably nicer in the summer obviously when the flowers are in full bloom. For $18 it was great to get out during the Covid 19 and have a safe and fun time getting some fresh air seeing all the beautiful gardens. Thank you to the friendly staff also
Wonderful place to take the kids. Exquisitely decorated winter garden and lights
Amazing location and the parking is soo justifiable. Friendly wild animals (birds and chipmunks) and friendly people. Highly recommended.
Suchba great place to bring the family. The kids always learn tons and have such fun. Interactive and informative displays, shows and activities. We buy the family seasons pass.
Excellent field trip for our grade 2 class! RBG staff were very knowledgeable and patient with the kids.
Perfect weather today for a walk!
Excellent gardens filled with an abundance of plants and trees. Highly reccomended for a nice day out and/or a easygoing stroll!
Very beautiful well kept area. Exceptional customer service. Polite, professional. They're doing great!
Can't wait to return once the Rose's bloom.
Absolutely amazing! Went for the winter/Christmas light walk Staff is incredible, helpful, friendly. Just a great experience. Cant wait to go back in the summer.
Was very pretty. Wish there wasnt construction on the main fountain but otherwise everything was beautiful. I was there for pictures for a wedding so didnt get to venture much out, but I'd definitely go again. I believe the park is dog friendly as i saw many dogs out in the park. Note that while the park is large you have to drive or canoe to certain places not all of it is walk able from point A to point B so figure out what part of the park you want to go to and how to get there.
Great place to visit on a warm sunny day. Not crowded, even on Sunday. Several trails and gardens to explore.
Absolutely beautiful Christmas light exhibit, very well organized, especially during Covid
Great place to take a nice stroll and get some nice pictures of the family. The storybook trail was a big hit with the kids.
A Good Place to have picture taken. There were Couple of Wedding parties were there They should reduce the admission fee.
Beautiful views and lovely restaurants too
Beautiful place to visit and stroll arround anytime of year.
Our family loved the Christmas lights and the staff was amazing. We all moved in 1 direction that had people and arrows to show the way. We were able to social distance easily and all staff were wearing masks. Great job!
Very Christmas ???? with beautiful light displays, music and Christmas cheet
This is the third time in a month visit the garden, very very beautiful with different flowers in every week and different feeling each time .
Very beautiful Garden.
I highly recommend visiting this location. There is lots to do with plenty thinks to see. Worth a visit.
I've been there perhaps a couple of times. I like nature so I don't think I can ever get sick of this place. Due to Covid, this is likely going to be a place that I'll frequent more often. A must see!
Excellent Christmas music and light display ????
Magical place
Wonderful evening of beautiful lights and displays ! Outing with my daughter's in law and grandkids , had a fantastic evening . Staff were friendly and welcoming , hope to make this a yearly event for my family !
Great COVID protocols! We were still able to enjoy this beautiful place.
Loved it. Visit frequently for pleasure.
A great place to go for a nice walk. The green houses were great and the forest was massive on the grounds. Had an amazing time there and took some great photos. Highly recommend
Beautiful place. The young man at the front desk was rude and aggressive about my mask. I have a face shield for medical reasons. He said it didn't matter and was very arrogant and ignorant. I don't feel comfortable visiting there anymore. Medical exemption allows for face shields. This is also an outdoor park.
The gardens are so beautiful !????????????
Beautiful place to relax in nature, great venue to host gatherings of all kinds.
The Christmas Lights lift the spirits in such tough times beautiful exhibition well dond RBG staff and volunteers
Wayfinding needs significant improvement.
Loved it. Walked around with friends had dinner and stayed for the entertainment. Lovely time.
The lights were amazing. They really make it feel like the holiday season is here. My daughter loved looking for the reindeer along the path. People were safely distanced and the vast majority kept masks on along the entire walk, so safety was never a concern. A lot of couples were enjoying the romance of the lights, while lots of families were having a ball too. We were told the weekends have long lineups, but we went on a Wednesday evening and walked roght in. Perhaps buy you tickets online in advance to make it quick, but there were no issues for us at the desk. I highly recommend the lights at the RBG, it has become a family tradition for us now. (second year)
The holiday light show walk through the gardens was very enjoyable, great way to get out in the evening with social distancing. Pre-buy timed tickets on line, members free but book time on-line. Small cafe open for refreshments
I live here and get to enjoy these views.
Great Christmas light display!
One of the best places to go for a romantic date.
Beautiful, lush land scapes
This is by far the best way to spend quality time with Grand Children so worth it.
Wonderful visit, must go back, once isn't enough!
Beautiful gardens and dog friendly.
Perfect weather
Beautiful place
We went for the Winter Wonderland event. The event itself was a little underwhelming, but the gardens are vast and we hope to return when everything is in bloom!
The various gardens are spread apart so you need to drive between them. Many of the plants are dead or dying likely due to the time of year. I wouldn't go back @ $18 per person but I'm sure some people enjoy it.
