This park is the prize of the town. The charming mansion and grounds on Lake Ontario is perfect for a stroll. Don't miss the trails through the woods to the East. The grounds abound with ancient Norway and Silver Maples, Black Walnuts (hence all the squirrels), Norway Spruce, Weeping Willows, and a dozen others, including a rare Cucumber Tree. Perfect for private events. Sadly, the ever-present flock of Canada Geese ruin the lawn, but just the same, not to be missed. Bathrooms onsite.

Great venue for a wedding, though it might be on the small side, and you'll be running upstairs and downstairs a bit, but the scenery is fantastic

This was a little hidden gem, and although there isn't much to see (we only wandered outside the house and down to waterfront), it was free and very scenic. A wee bit disappointed to see a massive tyre on the beach, but the toilet facilities were a huge plus. All in all, the walk and the view and information sign made for a lovely stop off. A few picnic benches down by waterfront would be well appreciated.

Nice place to walk around the mansion as well as the treed trails including the waterfront. Watch for a windy day and rain because wind from the lake Ontario would make you soaking wet. Many trees were cut down due to ash boar disease which is sad, you can imagine with those 100s of trees it would have been even better green space. Parking is easy, and refer to Google map's aerial view to get around the park.

This is such a wonderful park! I went here with my dog and had such a great time. It has a fantastic view of the lake, plenty of places to sit, very well maintained, and best of all not too many people visit here compared to other parks on the lakefront. The "Discovery Path" is a beautiful trail you can take your dog or go for a stroll. It wraps around in a loop and takes you back to where you started. I highly recommend this well-groomed not so busy park.

Paletta Lakefront Park is a wonderful park situated in a quiet neighborhood along Burlington's prime lakeshore road. The park itself is clean, well maintained, and spacious. It is much more relaxing here than the overly crowded Spencer Smith Park. There's plenty of green space to lounge around as you listen to the calm waves of Lake Ontario. The water clarity here is phenomenal, and doesn't attract the garbage like you would see in other parts of Lake Ontario. I would say that the clarity of the water here matches that of Georgian Bay, and that is saying a lot! We really enjoyed the park, and while it isn't massive, it's a great area to sit down and relax. Bring a picnic blanket, some food/snacks to eat, and a nice book, or audiobook to listen to.

Beautiful and picturesque. It was once a private waterfront home. Closed due to COVID 19 currently. Undergoing repair at the waterfront. No facilities currently. Parking is free. Many Canada geese so you may need to watch your step for Goose droppings. Good for a stop or a picnic.

The location, parking and heritage buildings are great but currently a pedestrian bridge is in need of replacement so the discovery walk has an abrupt end. I anticipate that once construction on a new bridge connection is done it will be much nicer.

What an amazing lakefront park. Seeing the well-kept garden and lawn with the opulent estate, why I wouldn't doubt that this was how it looked like almost a century ago. I went on an impromptu drive and came across this scenic park. It was beautiful, not as crowded and full of total peace. I can see why many weddings take place here. I did go on a chilly night and did encounter a lot of mosquitoes- please be aware. Nonetheless, this is a serene location equipped with benches to relax and enjoy a book, or just to get a fresh breath of air.

First time I visited this place, I was really impressed by the serenity, the land scraping, how the shrubs are manicured and cleanliness in general. The Paletta mansion could be booked for event at the city. There are benched by the lake , one can quietly sit and either read a book or meditate. I can recommend any one to visit this place.

Had a lovely walk zig zaging across the various paths around the park. Trails to the northeast need decent shoes as it is a tiny bit muddy. A pair of sneakers will be fine. Really enjoyed the view. Don't feed the squirrels I was stalked by seven of them at one time.

Its such a nice park, and has some beautiful architecture, but you'll be too busy swatting away enormous amounts of mosquitoes, gnats, and flies. If you visit, make sure it's at high noon, no exceptions. Ended up leaving more stressed than when we came here :(

Great place for walk and spending time with family. Serene lake view and small trail for biking. Plenty of parking and no rush overall. There were tons of mosquitoes though, so apply bug spray before stepping out of the car.

We chose Paletta Mansion for our wedding, and we never regretted our choice. The staff will go to any length to provide first class service. The mansion and grounds are spectacular, ideal for wedding pictures. The prime rib was fantastic. I can not stress enough that they provide exceptional service.

Beautiful place to spend time with your family or just simply take a walk. Lots of seats to view the lake, clean toilet's. The house is not open to the public although I believe you can arrange for a tour.

A nice park with the old mansion in it. Sometimes there are weddings and stuff happening, but the lakeside portion of it and walking trails are always open to the public

COVID review. No access to the building. Has a tiny hiking trail around the property. Tons of poster about the wildlife. Building looks nice, property is in great condition... Has access to water, rocky beach... Takes about 20 min to explore fully. Has tons of open grass and shade. Great location for a picnic

Happened to visit this park during the weekend. The lovely weather definitely helped in exploring. It’s a pretty beautiful serene place adjacent to the Paletta mansion. An hour should be sufficient to definitely explore the park.

Was at a wedding at the Paletta Mansion. Excellent. The venue is gorgeous, the park surrounding it beautiful, and it has a balcony overlooking the lake. The food and service was fantastic. They asked about food allergies at the table (even though you needed to provide that info on the rsvp), and accommodated preferences. The hors d'oeuvres were incredible. Everything was taken care of well, despite covid protocols and proof of vaccine requirements. Very well done. Highly recommend.
