3.5 It is nice to see that the museum continues to expand and add period inspired buildings. Canada Day is the perfect event for the Museum to continue to host. The institution definitely acknowledges Brooks and Area's Pioneer roots, but should cover more of the recent past. Events relating to the demographic shift in the area are noticeably absent. There are many cultural, and ethnic groups of people that have yet to be represented by the exhibits & installations. I love the bathroom murals, and think that a future exhibit dedicated to local artists & Artisans would be a good idea. While the the museum has expanded, it still lacks technological innovation that would make the exhibits more captivating / adaptable.

Fantastic staff. They show your children how to use an old dial phone, how old schools were run, etc. Has a free museum. You can spend 1-2 good quality hours here with your children.

A true hidden gem. Filled with artifacts placed in original or composite buildings, this museum gives you a good look into the history of Brooks and reflects what life was probably like through many decades. Instead of simple facts and scientific information, the placards include stories about many of the donors and contributors, people of note in the town's history, and the evolution of Brooks itself, thus making the tour more personal and interesting. If you are going to the dinosaur park, make this your next stop!

Terry Jackson

Nice place to visit in the summer

Anita Clough

Awesome little museum...well the little bit we got to see before being rudely kicked out due to a meeting. My suggestion...dont use a tourist spot for private meetings if you want to attract tourists instead of kicking the tourists out.

This museum is absolutely worth a trip! The staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about not only the contents of the museum, but the city and surrounding area. The gift shop has lots of locally made items and are all reasonably priced. The displays themself are well cared for and provide interesting and relevant information about the town's history. Admission was free, with optional donation and I would recommend that anyone travelling through the area makes sure to stop in and check the museum out!
