Delightful riverside park recovered from its former oil transshipment site past. Features the outline of Fort La Presentation and a memorial to Abbe Picquet, indefatigable missionary to the converted Iroquois during the French regime. Later site of border tussles between the early United States and the British empire in Canada. Well worth a visit and a nice walk around the flat grounds.

Under developed, nothing to see here. There is no fort, only a sign to mark the location of what could possibly be the former location. The posted rules for the area challenge any other information provided in both size and depth. If you are looking for a river view with a dog walk this could be a good choice.

The Abbe Picquet Walking Trail is a world class historic site that features the location of Fort La Presentation, a French colonial fort, Fort Oswegatchie, a British revolutionary war fort, and Fort Van Rensselaer, a War of 1812, American fort. The trail winds through the property along the beautiful St. Lawrence River and the shores of the Oswegatchie River. Well worth a visit to learn how Ogdensburg's early history is the history of the early battles for control of North America..
