Had a great time diving around the Robert Gaskin and Lillie Parsons shipwrecks this week with Brianna as our charter captain. Very nice, friendly, and informative people working at this dive shop. Will be back for more dives for sure.

I came with my brother from Toronto to get him to do the advanced open water course. Ivanna Tobar was his instructor for the weekend. She was amazing to deal with from the beginning at the time of booking the course with her all the way to the end of the course. She is accommodating and comforting specially if you feel uncomfortable at first with diving. I have taken my advanced open water last year, and I was only giving my brother accompany as he was doing the advanced open water. She is definitely one the best instructors that you can find. If you coming from Toronto or even elsewhere to learning diving, make sure that you book with Ivanna, because she will be very thorough in teaching and comforting as you build your skills and confidence in the water. I have attached a video of the deep dive as she was cracking an egg and showing how it will behave under the high pressure of the water.

Recently i dove with abucs and happy to recommend them here. The communication and agreeing on date and site to dove was easy and either over the phone or chat voa Ffacebook messanger. On the day of everything went smooth, i knew what to expect and where to to - i came from out of town. I rented most of the equipment and was in great usable condition. If you are looking for a dive alone or with a groul, do check them out. Cheers!

Great spot for those looking to get into diving go on down to the dive shop and if you have ur certifaction for diving then by all means come down grab some gear and head out for ur own diving adventure.

Great place for "fan friendly" diving. I was up to their outfit for 30+ dives this [2015] year and from "Nitrox" to "Captains" their operation is superb. Helen, Vince, and Dan are all highly knowledged in diving and its safety requirements along with "history" of the area wrecks….. From Morehead City to the Keys - BDC is the place to dive over 15 wrecks….the last weekend in September we dove 2 four tank days - eight different wrecks….flat out AWESOME *******…. Dan Heary......

What a pleasure. The last remaining shop in A-bay would only take you to two wrecks. The folks at Brockville are enthusiastic to take you to all of the available wrecks. The skipper is great and has an encyclopedic knowledge of the region.

We rented a canoe for two hours in September and it was a breeze to get started. Attendants were helpful and great at what they do. This was my first canoe ride and I had no idea what to expect so I relied entirely on my partner. The St. Lawrence river is beautiful and it was calm around 4pm. We took the advice to row upstream along the coast and found a lil’ island to have a small break before heading back. The boating life is now a lifestyle I want to adopt. Everyone in the water respects each other and it was all in all a wonderful, safe experience.

We just did a refresher course with Rhiannon (not sure of the spelling, apologies!). She has lots of experience, was very professional and friendly, got us to review some theory and answered all our questions, and then practiced some drills under water before exploring for a little bit. The visibility was unfortunately poor, but I felt in very good hands the entire time despite being nervous initially. She adapted very well to our level and gave us constructive feedback. Truly excellent instructor! Thank you!

We rented dive tanks at the center, but unfortunately one turned out to be leaking when we got ready to dive an hour away from the center. We assumed that this could happen once in a while and kindly asked for a refund for that one faulty tank (16$). We were appaled when she refused squarely to refund and accusing her customers of having caused this and that the center was never at fault. She offered an in-store credit which for tourists that may never go back to Brockville, is worth nothing. Ironically, when we were about to leave the store, we bumped into her "Complaint policy", consisting of a mouse trap. It speaks volume about what she thinks of customer satisfaction. Lesson for us is to always test the tanks that are rented to us prior leaving the store and try out Dive Tech Training Center if we ever come back in the region.

Extremely expensive and their regs and bcds are scary old. They monetize everything. Weights $25 a day! Weight belt $10 a day! $16/tank! Cheaper in Hawaii!!!When one of our group members got injured, they wouldn’t refund us the rental for the following day. They would only offer a store credit which is total bs. One of the air tanks o ring was broken. Thankfully, someone had a spare in our group. Would NOT recommend but they seem to be the only ones in the area. Pro tip: rent and fill elsewhere.

I recently rented a kayak and canoe from the Brockville Dive Centre. As we were paddling in the St. Lawrence the kayak started to take on water, and we realized it was missing a drain plug. We ended up towing it and my friend to an island, where we emptied the water and patched the hole with duct tape we had on us. We contacted the owner who said she would take a look at the condition of the boat when we got back and would arrange a tow if we got in to trouble. That was great, and the owner responded quickly. The problem was when we got back to the dive centre, and were told that the hole had previously been patched with gorilla tape, which must have fallen off. This wasn’t good - the Dive Centre had rented a boat that was missing a critical piece of equipment, and knew it. I understand how this happens - the pressure to rent boats is high, and the season is short, but this had the potential to be dangerous. I raised this with the staff, and I kept getting a similar response - “I’m glad you’re safe”. Me too! But I didn’t feel like they understood or appreciated how serious the situation was, or that they were taking ownership of it. As I watched them disinfect the boats I also found myself worrying that they were going to repatch the hole with more gorilla tape, and rent it out again, hoping it wouldn’t fall off or that the next renter wouldn’t notice. I emailed the owner, and when I got no response to my second email, I ended up contacting the Office of Boating Safety at Transport Canada and the Brockville Police, as they have a marine patrol unit and are responsible for enforcement. Both organizations were great and followed up, and the officer since followed up to let me let me know that the drain plugs are on order. I did find the experience troubling, however. I would have preferred an apology and an assurance they they would fix it properly and not rent out the boat until they had. I was glad though that I was able to connect with the office of boating safety and the marine patrol unit, and to know that they would follow up. Date of experience: August 2020

Came up from Toronto for a great scuba diving experience. I started it all with a boat tour with Helen. Unfortunately on this boat ride there was a teenager who attempted to ruin the experience by screaming and constantly express how much he did not want to be here. Helen's approach was absolutely amazing. She was firm and direct with explaining that for safety and enjoyment for everyone else he needed to follow captain directions. At this time this teen expressed his anger toward Helen and she did an amazing job keeping professionalism and safety of all others on the boat. Very impressed. I ended up finishing the week off with the open water padi course with Ivanna. She did a fantastic job as an instructor and made my experience absolutely amazing. She helped me grow in the water and allowed me to feel secure and confident in my skill set as a new diver. Thank you so much to the staff at Brockville dive for the absolutely amazing experience. Helen and Ivanna I will definitely come back one day for another dive!
