It is a good experience to see beautiful scenary of Canada. The halloween decorations and theme are a plus.
Its beautiful what you see but it's very short for the how much you pay for it. Found it very confusing how to get to flyover from parkade, not only us, I saw many other people lost, trying to find their way.
????The BEST! Surely one of the must visit location whenever you find yourself in Vancouver area. The VR show was worth every penny. I will surely come back.
It’s not a sore miss if you can’t visit this place. Half the time of this 25 minute infotainment Is taken up in other activities other than the flyover experience itself. Very similar to the one you do in Disneyland or at the London Eye. Wish they had a much more immersive experience and a longer duration, it felt rushed when we did it. Maybe a higher fidelity resolution would have made the experience better. Too bad they didn’t provide night views of the Niagara Falls in this experience. This is at the far end of Canada Place and tickets are available on the area outside the convention center as well as inside this place.
I am sure the VR experience and everything is great and the most wonderful experience as most reviews say but my friends and their children have a different view. Some kids and some adults would love to be given a warning because it is not fun for people who are afraid of heights and are quick motion sensitive. I also saw an adult leave dizzy and just in discomfort. I myself cannot go because I suffer from vertigo. PLEASE GIVE WARNING ALERTS to the public before tickets are purchased.
It's a amazing experience. But it only lasts for about 3 mins. The pre-show is very bad. I heard from the locals that the show used to last for 20 mins or so. I understand that they reduced the length due to motion sickness, but still didn't reduce the cost.
Flyover Hawaii was okay. A little too expensive for what you get. Their workers can definitely be friendlier. We were the last to lineup after our tickets were scanned. We had our two little girls with us. They were watching everyone else's pictures being taken on the green screen. For some reason we were not asked to take our picture. It was super upsetting when my girls asked why our picture wasn't taken. I took them to the green screen and took their picture on my phone just to make them happy and to not start off with ruining their experience. The employee was watching this, yet still didn't offer to take our family picture. I don't like to say this but maybe a little racism...?
It was fun but I expected to bring much more excitement.
The kids loved the show... it's their new favorite ????
No wait
Amazing place. Must go when visiting Vancouver. Lovely experience
Incredible experience of flight simulation and stimulating senses! Visually stunning! *motion sickness warning
So much fun! Loved it! Makes you feel like you're really flying over Canada!
It was a pretty cool experience, a little on the pricy side but I'd recommend checking it out!
I visit Vancouver often and this was such a cool experience. I really enjoyed it and a fun family attraction.
I guess you should visit this place once in Vancouver. However, I should suggest that the animation in thw fly be improved to include more other complexe animation styles so that the client (the onw flying over Canada) is not going to anticipate which movement is coming next. Furthermore, some well known places are missing in the flying. Hope they can include more places from all the provinces. Thanks
If you have been to avatar on magic Kingdom you know the idea of it, if not you have to try it. It's a really good experience. If you buy the tickets online they are cheaper.
Experience was enjoyable, though price was high. Pre-purchasing online was worth it to save time. I expected it to be a bit longer, but I definitely enjoyed it. Saw the Iceland one and loved it. Would go again - just wished it was a bit cheaper.
Feels just like flying. I kept on thinking my shoes were going to fall off and I'd lose them in a Canadian landscape....
Very great place for family or if you wanna go alone, it is very realistic amusing and the staff there are very nice. Honestly it’s very fun and beautiful overall I would recommend
This was a great activity for a less than idea weather day! We decided to do both the flyover Canada and Hawaii! Breathtaking cinematography! The image could have been a bit ‘sharper’ and it the tickets were pricey but we enjoyed every minute of it!
Visited this place while in Vancouver, great experience for any age group. Will visit again when in Vancouver again
3 stars cause its way to short for what you pay. The could of went to more of the areas across CANADA . The presentation though was very good and enertaining as we did the Christmas special.
This was a great experience. I was scared at first but wow it was so peaceful and so exciting!
It gives me no pleasure in making this post or having to provide this feedback. That said, our family feels strongly enough about what occurred for us at the FlyOver Canada – Hawaii experience that we felt it important to share our experience with everyone that might read this post. Let me start by stating that my family and I are big fans of the FlyOver experience. Over the years we’ve been fortunate to par-take in viewing a number FlyOver productions throughout NA. That said, our recent experience in watching the FlyOver Canada – Hawaii; was less than stellar. Having attended a number of other FlyOver productions over the years our family have become accustom to a particular level of production value which is normally associated with the FlyOver brand and productions. To say that the Hawaii experience was a letdown, would be a huge understatement. There were 3 main factors that negatively impacted our experience, but before mentioning those it should be said that the venue, décor and staff were all exceptional. Which is why it is so disheartening to have to provide write this review. 1. It was utterly impossible to understand what we were looking at. There was no flow, there was no story. Let me explain, when viewing other FlyOver’s (especially cross continental) a viewer could piece together where they might be by the fact that they were traveling across a continent or country (ie; West to East or Fly across Europe). For the Hawaiian show, apart from seeing Diamond Head at the start. A viewer had no understanding of what vista they were being presented with. There was no story nothing that stitched the sequences together. The imagery felt very disjointed and it presented poorly on screen. 2. The Quality of the imagery that was used, seemed to be a mix of old and new. Along with the disconnected story, the imagery used seemed to be from different eras. A mix of National Geographic flyover’s with drone and digital submersal footage was very distracting. Many of the images were not in 4K or 2K. In fact, from what was viewed it could be argued that some of the imagery was not even HD. 3. THE FILM WAS LARGELY OUT OF FOCUS. This kinda falls into the 2nd point, but was enough of an issue that we felt it important to comment on separately. Granted we were seated in the lower right corner of the presentation. Not ideal, but not anything that we hadn’t experienced on some other FlyOver viewings. For our group (5), a majority of the imagery presented was out of FOCUS. Which for us, was a MAJOR issue. We’re not entirely sure if it was the projection system or the footage used, but many of the images displayed appeared to be very soft in focus. As stated earlier, our family are fans of this form of entertainment and are hopeful that future FlyOver productions and presentations will not result in a similar outcome as the Hawaiian experience.
It's always awesome here. Me and my family always enjoyed coming here. We had a great time.
So nice to travel across Canada. Very lovely experience, highly recommend. I wish it was lasting a little longer
Disappointed. Feels dated. The technology is no longer cutting edge, and has little wow factor. The films are short, way too short (~20 mins). Ridiculously overpriced. $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Just not worth it and not all that good.
Breathtaking at times! Seats move as if you are the pilot of a small plane. There are some other shows that I didn't find very interesting. The flight show is so good that you will only remember that part. I hope the scenes get updated to be more recent.
It is like a ride at Disney, water and smell is added. The actual ride is about 8 minutes. Has a preshow. Ride was good, over cliffs water. Great overview of Canada
In my opinion this is attraction#1. It's a virtual flying tour over the Canada, so realistic. A must visit place in Vancouver BC
It was the 2nd time I went to Fly-Over-Canada. This time I loved even more. I recommend all and everyone to enjoy the ride.
It was awsome. Specially night time
These shows are good but only good enough for a fair. The show was very short but still interesting.
This is one of my favourite experiences to take people to whenever they visit Vancouver! It’s thrilling and unique and everyone I’ve taken there and has always enjoyed it! I recommend everyone to try it at least one, you’d not regret it! The whole 5D experiment actually makes you feel like you’re flying, you get to experience Canada like never before!
It was a good experience. A bit tedious to wait for the actual ride, but the "flight" itself was cool.
3/5 for Fly over Canada. 5/5 for Fly over Hawaii. Average is 4/5. If you went to Hawaii, you'll have some context of the places seen in this Fly Over. If you are missing Hawaii in this pandemic, I'd say go see Fly over Hawaii while you still can. Just seeing Waikiki Beach, Na Pali Coast, and the Road to Hana again made me so happy.
Its a nice experience but the length of the video is not worth of its' price.
The ride itself was good, well worth it. Edit: the photo issue has been resolved by customer service. Although there was a slight delay but it was good that they made it right after. Appreciate your efforts.
Loved the fly over Hawaii show. The under water part was a nice touch with all the scents and immersive effects.
It was cool. Don’t waste your money though. We went to the Fly over Hawaii. The “ride” was maybe 10 minutes. Not really worth it for the 40+ dollars you spend
Really nice attraction to do in Canada Place ! With or without children :) I would have hoped it to be longer though.
Awesome attraction, now they have more variety. Like Hawaii. Complement this with some drinks at the near by pubs and restaurants with sea view.
Something to try once and cross it off your list, price of admission is high for what it is. (A virtual movement ride in front of an IMAX screen) but for those who want to pay the admission it's upfront with what it is. Experience is ~25 minutes which includes pre-ride show, safety check, followed by ~8 minutes of ride. Basically an update of the 80/90 jacked up rollercoaster rides. Go online check the deals as it's discounted for BC residents, and some deals are listed online and not at the booth. Those frighten by heights and and sudden movement might want to think twice, as legs do dangle.
I really like this experience. We first did a "flyover" at Disneyland. When I learned that Vancouver had one I put it on my to do list for my next visied there. It's expensive, and not something I'd do on every visit but definately an experience to do once (or twice). During the "ride" you feel that you are really flying over, you get a light misting when flying over water and a scent at the appropriate times. The view is 180 degrees in every (forward) direction; up, down, left , and right. The only thing is that we are now used to HD video everywhere, the video at flyover is not very sharp, it's a little blurry, which is disappointing, and the videos are relatively short. But overall it's a fun experience.
This was an amazing experience. Ya the actual ride took about 10 minutes it was still worth the price and the drive time. Definitely check it out if your near Vancouver
The most amazing feelings in my life, if you did not visit it, please do it now, highly recommended. You will experience all the seasons, see and feel as well. Super WOW ???? nothing can explain the feelings. It represents all the beauty of Canada ❤️???????? رائعه وأكثر .. ارشح زيارتها بشده.. كانك شفت كل كندا فيها
The experience was very good, but according to the price, the ride was very short. The starting introduction for 15 minutes is not worth(it should be short and quick) instead they should add that time for the ride.
Got the double bill show now that it has reopened. Following all Covid Guidelines for seating and cleanliness. The Aloha Hawai'i show was good and I enjoyed it...the Canadian one is actually kind of boring this being the second time seeing it..surely they could update this now considered old footage from when flyover Canada first opened. There ticket window out in front of Canada Place has also seen better days, I don't think it was open but hard to tell. The staff were friendly, the gift shop was expansive. There are many stairs, for those that need the elevator there is access.
It was fun for the little guys. Don't miss out. Halloween special feature!
This is a fun activity - very much like the Disney version of this type of ride. We visited in early October so the ride and pre- ride all had the Halloween theme. We would have preferred to do the original 'ride' without the witch on a flying broomstick showing up throughout the beautiful vistas!!
It's great but I hope showing time become longer.
Was told upon entry the whole thing 25 mins long with a 6 min video to start the experience (included within the 25 mins) the fly over itself felt like it lasted about 5 minutes which was a disappointing. Also the picture quality itself was poor. Looked blurry and pixelated. Over the concept is great but just badly executed
We enjoyed the Howl over canada show today
It's an amazing place both inside and outside. The ride is breathtaking with almost a 4d experience. I went there a few times and I won't regret going back there again. The outside view of the harbour airport and flights landing are also amazing.
Did anyone else find it blurry? For a show that is less than 10 minutes and cost's $$ I was surprised that the scenes were not in focus.
Halloween ride is really amazing. Enjoyable!!! Even adults can enjoy. Its really good experience.
We did the fly over Canada and soar over Taiwan double feature. Loved both. It was an immersive experience as if I was right there flying over the waterfalls and mountain peaks. The only recommendation I would give the management team is to remind visitors to not scream and yell during the experience, it takes away the enjoyment for other people. It was only one odd person that was screaming with excitement like a hockey game, most people were respectful.
Flyover Canada is one stop for travelling across Canada. It will take you too the mesmerising and stunning view of beautiful Canada. In just 30 minutes you can see through whole beautiful canada. Flyover itself is located at to sea front with views showing mountains, seagulls, seaplanes etc. it a must visit for anyone visiting Vancouver and have will to travel across Canada.
Awesome! We definitely come back to join FlyoverCanada. We recommend for anyone still consider to buy their tickets. Everything is perfect after we leave the show. We really love their show from staff, facilities and show quality, my kids feel so fantastic and would love to fly again even just leave the sit. Thanks all.
We did Fly over Hawaii and Fly over Canada. A must must do thing when in Vancouver.
The show is really nice but very poor video quality and only lasts 8 minutes! Way too short considering how long you have to wait in line (around 40 minutes) Its definitely a rip off. They should charge max 15 dollars instead 30 bucks each.
I visited fly over Canada in January. It was an amazing experience and trust me you should definitely try it out. This 3D like feeling of flying over different cities in a country. So many beautiful monuments, desserts, mountains, etc. loved it.
What an experience. This virtual reality show will take you across Canada for a ride. Nicely done. They have captured entire Canada beautifully. Great place to experience for kids, families and youngsters. Located right in Canada Place with amazing view ! They are maintaining adequate social distancing measures and you are required to show your proof of vaccination to buy tickets and enter !
Went to see Howl over Canada, and the kids had fun with the Halloween edition of Fly over Canada. They also included a free cookie for the kids and free caricature drawing.
Very entertaining! Kids loved it, as well as mom and dad.
Definitely 5 stars! It's worth evey penny. I tried one of their Canada toursans it was amazing. It's good for all age groups. I'd love to go again for a different ride, maybe Hawaii.
Was pondering over a 5 or 4 star and gave the former because of the uniqueness of the experience. This simulator has mist blowing i your face on appropriate occasions, but the real wow part is that the seats move forward over a parapet and the screen extends below your feet. So you actually look up, forward and down at the scenery. It does actually give you a feeling of flying in a helicopter! Never experienced this anywhere else. The down side? Show is short and ended when I really wanted it to go on. So a little on the pricey side for a short experience.
Amazing experience. Kids watched not once but twice. You need to go and see to rally enjoy and feel it! Another place not to miss while in Vancouver. Paid under cover parking available just down the road. You can not park across the road because it’s limited to 30 min parking and not extendable.
Beautiful and calm as usual. Please consider wear warm clothes ????
The experience of FlyOver Canada was just wonderful. I really loved it! I felt emotional and cried, the experience is just magical! Totally worth it! I really recommend this! This country is just beautiful and the experience to get to see and feel some parts of it was magnificent ????????
Amazing VR show. Tickets are sold for half hour slots. The show runs for 24 minutes. There are two parts to the show. First, you stand with everybody in a small room with 360 degrees screen for a short video presentation. Then you are guided into your seat in the studio whre the real show takes place. After you take your seat and buckle up the room becomes dark and the floor slides back and the show starts. In the show you stay in one place but the picture showing the different parts of Canada move fast under you giving you the illusion that you are flying over Canada in your seat. The experience is dramatic and exciting.
Enjoyable, interesting to view things from the top.. if you do not enjoy heights probably not for you..
We took our family to Flyover Canada during our staycation Downtown Vancouver, during the covid-19 pandemic, for our son's 13th birthday and we all had such a blast! It is one of those things that you recommend everyone has to try it! The experience of the ride was Amazing with all the smells and mist as you go through the water and mountains and the view was spectacular! The souvenirs and picture made it even more memorable. Thank you Flyover Canada for making our family trip unforgettable❤
Awesome VR experience with family
Great Place to Watch The Whole Canada At One Place , Cooperative staff and watching Flyover Canada , canada place was amazing and Unforgettable .... Thanks to The Fully Amusement
Amazing attraction. If you’re visiting Vancouver, this definitely a must. I arrived late, as my train from Winnipeg was really late that day, but the guys who work at FlyOver were extremely nice and allowed me to enjoy the experience. I recommend visiting this attraction first, as it will allow you to have a better understanding of how outstanding this country’s landscape is.
The experience at FlyOver Canada is well worth it on a rainy day. It gives a good impression and view of Canada in a full IMAX flight simulation, including some olfactory sensations. It's great for people of all age groups and it's located very centrally. There's usually a show every 15 minutes so the waits are not long.
Weekend
Came here during the winter holidays with my family. It was wonderful and my 5yo really enjoyed her "flight." Unfortunately, my 4yo didn't meet the height requirement (she's 2 inches shy from the 40" requirement) so my husband and I took turns riding with our 5yo (it's like Disney's child-swap policy) while our 4yo waited at the gift shop.
Really fun experience for the price. Wasn't far off from flyover in California Adventures. The intro area for the Hawaii version felt very much like cultural appropriation... they could've been more inclusive and had proper indigenous representation!
Loved the show it was very real. They only draw back was the picture quality could have been clearer. In this day and age technology they must be able to make the picture not so blurry.
We really enjoyed it, I wish the video was slightly longer. Staff was lovely specially Irene, she was so kind and organized
Canada place:Nice place for Weekend , lots of parking, nice view , lots food joints, but expensive parking. Fly over canada is at level 4 of Canada place . Ticket is little expensive, but ride was worth spending money...
Awesome experience. Decent 4d. If you never try 4d it will give you a good journey
Awesome experience, group of friends, family, tourist, you may wish to add this your bucket list, absolutely loved it.
It's crazy how much fun this is. It's a little steep for how long the "flight" is, but it's an amazing experience. I've geeked out on it 4 times. Can't recommend enough. If you get motion sick don't bother. I don't imagine anyone would enjoy seeing you puke.
My group and I immensely enjoyed this activity and the halloween addition was a cute extra. As soon as it was over we contemplated getting tickets to go again. The cafe had a good snack and drink selection. I would highly recommend checking out this activity if in Vancouver!
As a resident of Vancouver, I can say with confidence that this ride is one of the funnest experience in Vancouver. Fun for the whole family! Breathtaking views and it really feels like you’re flying! If you are a tourist, this is something you cannot miss!
Super fun! The smells through Hawaii were wonderful! Soaring right down to the ocean...mist on your face! We did Canada and Hawaii, saved a few dollars with pre-booking online. We tried to walk up the first day but they were sold out a booked online for a couple of days later.
The movie is really good.
Amazing experience. I recommend this to everyone looking for a thrill ride. Nothing like this in all of Canada
The experience was fun. We went over Hawaii. I think it would be great if the film was updated with today's technology because that felt dated but overall, it was a very good experience. I could also do without feeling like I was being herded like farm animals but we all got to where we were going. Disney moves millions of people, just saying and a quick explanation and/or a video to explain would help a lot
Always like this place! Better than most so-called 4D movies, and the new Soar over Taiwan is just exceptional...so glad I had a chance to see it before its gone!!! for BC residents it’s only around 20$
The actual “Flight” is fun, but it’s only about 8 mins long! Also, unfortunately, parts of the film are very blurry! Honestly, a blurry film is not okay. I understand from other commenters, that it has something to do with the lack of HD/4K technology). But still… it’s 2021!! A Guest Services person told me: “The screen and projection system in place is the latest technology that was available for projecting on a curved screen surface at the time that we opened. It continues to be almost as close to the next latest edition of technology that has been developed in the past 5 years. That being said, due to the nature of our curved screen, it's impossible to replicate…HD quality.” There is also a 6 min pre-show parkour video, and a safety video. The videos are not very diverse. There is a lot of moving the crowd around, lining everyone up, and finally buckle in for the main event (which really should be longer and less blurry).
Very attractive show for people both young and young at heart! Thanks to the welcoming team.
We had no idea what to expect from this but it was incredible! So realistic and informative! My only complaint is that it could have been longer! 100% would recommend to a friend.
It was an amazing experience. You have to try it..My heart almost stopped. Unfortunately you can't take any pictures..
Good experience. But it would have been better when they saw the places in Canada, if they mention the names in the bottom or some kind of brochure to give more information about what places are they? And we bought a combo but they didn’t let us know which one was first. In addition, we couldn't hear the host as the background music was loud but experience was awesome!
Amazing experience. I went during Halloween time so they had that theme to end the show. It was so much better than I expected.
awsome experience ,if you want to see the beauty of canada ,just go flyover canada .
So, first things first, despite my 3 star review, this attraction is worth visiting and especially if you can get a bit of a discount. FlyOver Canada is leaps and bounds ahead of the tourist trap I was expecting. Without giving too much away its pretty impressive interactive audio visual experience. I had the pleasure of visiting during Christmas where they incorporated the FlyOver to visit Santa's grotto and had a somewhat obscure storyline about finding elves that seemed to go down well with the younger people attending. My gripe with the attraction and the only reason I'm giving it 3 as opposed to 4 stars is that it didn't quite reach that sense of wonder I was hoping for. Don't get me wrong, stunning visuals and maybe it was because it was paired with the Santa stuff, but I feel like updating the FlyOver journey to make it more an exploration of Canada (as opposed to a literal FlyOver) would make it that much better. I know some people will disagree and say you are literally getting what you see on offer but I think there's so room to expand the attraction narratively for the better.
This is such a fun and beautiful experience, it feels like you are flying! I loved the fly over Canada and Hawaii ones! Hope they create even more! Would definitely go again! It’s a bit short (8 minutes each ride I think) but I think it’s worth it if you do 2 of them in a row, especially if you are visiting Vancouver!
Was alot of fun but a bit pricey for the time. I would say it's something worth it though if it's your first time to Canada.
The experience itself was great, but the customer service was even better. I was there with one of my clients who is autistic and he ended up getting scared by the sudden drop that is in the Hawaii from Above experience. Afterwards he was crying quite a bit and after I helped him calm down, one of the employees named Emma came and asked if he would like a hot chocolate to help him feel better and chatted with him for a bit. To me this was an excellent example of going above and beyond. I was both thankful and impressed by Emma's initiative and care.
only negative is the price, children and the elderly seem to really love the show
They tell you 25 minute experience but in fact it’s a 5 minute flight. There is a 10 min introduction video that just shows some old special effects from 2016. All in all not worth it’s price.
This is nice but expensive. $35 per person on weekends. They show the whole Canada but didn't include snow season, which is the main thing. Tickets price must be around $15-$20 on weekends
So much fun!! I don’t know what I was expecting but my breath was taken away at the scenery and the ride itself felt so exhilarating. Such a fun date idea or for families. I took my husband, 6 year old and 3.5year old. They do have a min hight requirement. My 3 year old was scared because it seems so real and that you are up high so take that into consideration. But all in all we will be back because we enjoyed it that much! If I could have lined up and went again we would have.
The experience was great. My first time after 9 years in BC. I would think that the session will be longer. Definitely not the 25 minutes promised. I am guessing that include the time to go into your seat and fasten up. However the length it was worth it. The ticket price is 4 CAD cheaper online.
If you have a fear of heights or vertigo or nausea on moving objects then perhaps reconsider because once you're on you cannot get off. Having said that I fall into the category of folks who do not like roller coasters or feeling a lack of control on a moving object. However after getting used to it and seeing both shows I found it to be an incredible experience I'm an absolutely do it again!!
Incredibly amazing! I watched the fly over Canada show An activity that worth every penny
I remembered my Mom when we were there together on a Christmas presentation some years ago. She passed away this year at 67, so the flying over Hawaii with my actual partner was memorable as well...I just wish it would last maybe 30 minutes instead of 15...but very nice as usual.
Awesome. Love this place. A must see for visitors!
This is the ride (comparable to Disneyland and Universal studios in LA) in Vancouver. However it's uniquely Canadian and I'm proud it's here. You can really just be amazed and wowed by the sheer scale and beauty of Canadian nature including mountains, waterfalls, prairies, cities. The Christmas ride I attended with my wife and son has an additional portion of holiday fairy tale and humour as you see Santa's workshop and town. Also pre-show (recorded) and live Santa after show have been amazing. Just love it and highly recommend as a must do for every visitor in Vancouver!
Kind of neat, but definitely not worth the high cost. Expected 20+ minute show, not sure it even made it to 10 minutes. Footage was ok, but missing some key highlights. Edit: we saw the Hawaii show…
Amazing Place!! I was over there twice in 2019 and i saw the Halloween experience and the Christmas!! Just exiting the trip (put it in that way) is so wonderful, you really fly, i mead no floor so you can enjoy the adventure, this year 2021 in the summer is Fly over Hawaii, probably I wait until November to try again the experience!! Congratulations !!
Wait time
We did Canada and Hawaii and really enjoyed the ride.
Such a cool experience. Way too short for the cost but still worth it. If you love travelling, or always wished you were a bird, you should definitely do FlyOver Canada. Hoping they give free tickets out to local nonprofits who serve people with low income. So everyone could have access to this awesome experience.
Saw fly over Hawaii today. Was a really fun experience. But $30 for not even 10min and downtown parking $$ on top of it. I leave that for u to decide ????
Really enjoyed Canada and USA and if you book online way cheaper too !!
Went to the Wild West show and it was great, a very enjoyable experience, would highly recommend it - the queue moved fast and the staff were very professional and friendly ????
Our second visit to this attraction. This time we bought the dual tickets and saw both shows, Hawaii then the Fly over Canada scenery. For the price, still not long enough and it left me wanting more.
Fun and quite impressive but pretty darn expensive for the time you get in the ride. A family of 4 cost over 170 dollars for under 15 minutes. I think next time we'll look into an actual seaplane tour over Vancouver departing right next door in the harbour.
Absolutely worth it! Amazing experience. Appreciate the hard work the creators put to create this experience.
Sightseeing of Vancouver should always start with appreciating the beauty of complete Canada. Which couldn't be done or experienced without visiting Flyover Canada. Flyover Canada enables you to see all the scenic beauties of Canada in a 15-20mins hd experience ....You will be Flying over these beautiful places. This experience should be on the top of your sightseeing priorities in Vancouver......
Lovely experience also did Hawaii!!!
Was a fun way to spend some time. Decent visuals, well presented, gives you a good feeling of "Flyover". No lines or waiting. A worth while stop!
I loved being able to fly in the context of the pandemic. What an amazing immersion, wonderful escape.
I visited the FlyOver Canada experience on September 5, 2021 in the morning. It is located at Canada Place. The experience itself lasted around 10 minutes but the entire experience takes around 25 minutes. Prior to the main experience, you have to watch a pre-show video while standing in a small room. I didn’t feel like this part of the experience really added anything of value to the actual ride, and it was just ok, but you could do without that part. It was a video showcasing bits and pieces of the Canadian experience and landscape. Next, you line up and watch a short safety video before being seated for the main experience. You have to buckle up and there is a pouch under your seat to place loose belongings. There is a massive video screen in front of you. Then, the room goes dark and the row of seats moves forward so that you’re suspended off the ground. The video begins and it truly feels like you’re flying across Canada! Multiple landscapes and seasons are shown along the journey starting on the east coast and moving to the west coast. The seats move, turn and sway to mimic the motions of actually flying. There were some parts that really tickled the stomach! There are other neat sensory experiences added as well, like mist in your face when flying over Niagara Falls, and the smell of fall when flying over Quebec, which was pretty cool. You have to pre-purchase tickets online for your desired date and time. I would definitely recommend this experience to those looking for something unique to do and it’s also great for rainy days. I only wish the actual experience was a bit longer and showcased more areas of Canada!
Went here for the first time and it was a good experience. Wasn't completely blown away by it because I've been on attractions similar to it in disney world but for someone who hasn't been on something similar it's definitely worth a try. The show/ride is only about 10 mins long but they have some pre show filler which makes the whole experience about 25 mins.
Our visit to Fly Over Canada yesterday was all we expected it to be, & then some ! The whole experience was extremely well orchestrated, and the staff was perfectly trained for a smooth operation, as well as keeping politeness and a welcoming friendliness topmost in their mind ! ( well-done PR training department! ) From the ticket sales online, to the signage, the Time Checker, to the ticket scanner...to the 9 rows of dots-on-the-floor...the whole operation was a model of efficiency. Good job. As a born-in-Vancouver resident of the most-beautiful-city-in-the-world, I was pleased with the opening presentation in the surround-room...envisioning the effect on all the Out-of-Towners around me. Again, kudos for covering so much of what Canada is collectively about, while “acclimatizing” the body and mind to rapid-fire images and sensations of motion...in preparation for the Final Event about to bombard the senses. The suspense is building, but with the young “guides” always instilling a feel of comfort and friendliness...( so very typically “Canadian “ ) Having thoroughly enjoyed taking advantage of the “Ride-Again-for 50%” offer, I can’t stress enough, how much more enjoyable the experience is after READING the SOUVENIR GUIDE !!! We actually understood WHERE we were looking at...the horses were NOT panicking from the swooping helicopter...the 3 incidents of MIST on our glasses were “on-purpose” and added so much to the “real” experience...appreciating re-takes for the river kayakers, & having inside info on the crew being the Hockey team...all these made the already-awesome experience even more so. Best $5 we’ve ever added, To what was already a reasonable price to pay for such amazing technology. Well done, people!
It was a great experience. It felt like flying and watching Canada.
Was a fun experience. Not really worth the price since the ride was so short but then again you're probably used to that sort of things.
It was a great experience but unfortunately I was so short
Not a bad experience, I wouldn't make this a reason to visit Vancouver...
Worth watching both the shows usa and canada. Only one thing they need to improve is mention every province or state name with the tour.
We enjoyed our ride at fly over Canada! It's so beautiful at night.
For the price very disappointing. The short movie was great but lasted no more than 8 minutes for $35. Well organized.
My mother is visiting from Russia, double vaccinated with Sputnik ( the only option they provide in there for a vaccine) was turned down and not allowed to attend the show. We have not had this issue before as all the restaurants and indoor events we have been to before accepted her vaccinations and QR code issued by Russia. This is her first time visiting Canada and it is a huge disappointment not to be able to experience FlyOver Canada. I understand it is a new situation for all of us dealing with Covid and all restrictions, however, it is worth consideration to think about how to manage situations like that with the tourists from other countries and other vaccinations besides what we have in Canada. Very disappointing.
It was a fun experience and I recommend everyone should try at least once. It was quite realistic I could actually feel the moist and the wind during the ride! I hope it was longer!
Sitting in the seats next to the exit door, you won't get the same experience as when one would sit in the middle. You would see the shadow of the feet suspended in the air and the quality of the video is poor and fuzzy if you do not have your eyes fixed at the center
I really loved the experience. There was a long queue so it might be better to go when the tourist amount is less. And tbh the show felt short to me but it was worth it. I went there with hesitation but I am glad I went there.
Me and my children love it its one of our favorite place
This is the place that everyone should visit at least once in their life time. Just a suggestion to flyover that if they increase the video experience from 8.5 minutes to 15 minutes would be awesome.
The shows were excellent and we very much enjoyed the feelings of movement and a little 3D things! However be shows were very short around 9 minutes and at a cost of $50 a person we find that very expensive. Not to mention parking was another $4 for every half hour that you park in that area. It's a very nice show but definitely overpriced.
Every time someone visits in Vancouver, I always try to bring them here. Its always a nice experience and quite a flight. I like how it shows the beauty of this country in just minutes. We also have tried different FlyOver versions when they are available. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. The price is reasonable. Great for kids at kids at heart! The location of the attraction is also nicely situated as it is in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. The North Shore is also a sight to see! This a must go if you are a tourist looking for something fun to do while you visit!
Did the special edition for Halloween, it’s really cute and super family friendly, the experience is great, the atmosphere is amazing
Amazing views honestly, felt very real. Amazing place to go to and very cheap prices
One of the best attractions for visitors to Vancouver. Has special flyover north pole during Christmas season and that's so awesome and will really make the holidays happy. It's a very short show for the Price but gives a thrilling and chilling experience. One of the must do things in Vancouver!
Great experience but definitely needs some updates! The screen wasn’t crystal clear and with the advances that we have now watching a travel experience like this on a 4K tv is way clearer. It was fun though even though it was short I think it’s worth the money for the experience
Excellent show however the kid screaming in fear made for a less enjoyable show.
I never expect a really nice experience. I really enjoy it. Hope to be longer.
Love this place it's so amazing I try not to miss any of the shows me and my gf jist did the fly over Hawaii was so amazing love how you can smell it feel like you're really flying over it. I would recommend it to anyone so amazing.
Awesome place to go, really enjoyed the beautiful experience of this flyover. I wish the time limit should be more but overall it was great...❤️
Fantastico!!! Simply you must see it and experience it. I RECOMEND!!! :)
FlyOver Canada was really cool. Essentially a 4D experience that simulates a flight over the diverse landscapes of the provinces. It was exciting, beautiful, and a lovely way to spend some time downtown. If you're from out of country it's a cool way to see Canada and if you're local like I am, honestly still a really neat experience. 10/10 would recommend if you find yourself down in the Waterfront area. They run them every 15-20 minutes.
Must visit for all age groups except infants. Great concept and super thrilling. Do hop on skytrain with family rather than driving, as the venue is just 5 minutes walk from Waterfront Skytrain station.
We enjoyed the Hawaii theme they had this summer and we recently had experienced the winter theme as well. Loved the 'Fly Over Canada' experience, it is our kids favorite place to have fun.
I liked the show but it was way too short. My wife had seen the previous shows and told me that it was much longer before. Apparently, the show was shortened due to COVID but how come they still charge the same? If the show is shorter, the fee should be lowered as well.
It was really fun and the sights were amazing, but I found it to be too short. Only 9 minutes of actual movie time! And I would have appreciated if the staff gave more direction. They shuffle you from a line up outside, to an open room with benches inside, then to a final line up, but no one tells you what's going on. And good luck using a bathroom before the show. Once you're in line inside, you've already past the only bathroom there is. But no one tells you that ahead of time either.
Wonderful experience, a must have for everyone who wanna get a glimpse of how Canada terrain looks like from coast to coast.
Flying over Taiwan is the best experience of all we had here so far!
Stunning ride, second time visiting. But the powerpoint at the
Went to see FlyOver Hawaii. The experience itself was great while seated but 70% of the 30 minutes was just a line up. The actual video was closer to ten minutes. So though I did enjoy it, I thought the price was too high for such a short moment of enjoyment and wish the website provided more clarity on the actual length of the movie.
It is a nice place but not the best simulator I've been in. If you've been to a big theme park like magic Kingdom, universal, epcot, etc you are not missing much. If you haven't been to one of those theme parks I'd say to do it once
My family, including kids ages 5 and 7, did this attraction and it was awesome! The kids loved it! Just wish it was longer
This was by far my favourite thing to do in Vancouver, BC. If your ever visiting, this is a must go to location. The experience is incredible and staff is friendly, precautions to make sure everything is COVID free are taken seriously. Definitely a enjoyable time with your family!
The most breathtaking and exhillirating experience ever since we moved to Canada. We flew over Hawaii and it was tough to believe it was a simulated experience. We lived the experience and highly recommend it to anybody visiting Vancouver.
A fun little experience. The ride itself only lasts a few minutes. You spend more time in line and getting ready. Definitely overpriced. But it's an awesome trip.
If you're the one visiting Vancouver, or have someone coming over, please do not make them miss this. This wonderful experience takes you all over Canada and does it so smoothly that you can not get this experience anywhere else. Though I will suggest that you take them after you are done sightseeing and travelling and are on the verge on leaving, so that you can enjoy a recap of all that Canada has to offer in a neatly tied 25 minute package. Plus the Halloween special is fun too!
The idea is not bad but this experience was mostly waiting in line and visit their shop after. The whole video felt like it lasted just over 5 minutes. I was so disappointed.
Amazing experience! It's a bit pricy though.
Awesome experience. Good to bring family and friends who are visiting..
Mixed feelings on this one... The actual experience was so cool but it was definitely way too short and way too expensive. The actual ''show'' was only about 15 minutes long and the ''pre-show'' was 2 minutes and honestly a waste of time. Like others have said the images are grainy and not at all HD. If they knocked the price in half I'd do it again but otherwise not worth it.
This would probably be better for kids than adults. I expected the actual simulator portion of the event to be longer, it was only around 8 mins or so I'd estimate. Some of the scenes are truly breathtaking, and being new to Canada I was very excited for all of the beautiful parts of the country I now have the opportunity to see. Unfortunately, it just felt a little lacklustre. Maybe some narration over the footage would help, or slightly more movement from the chairs. I left feeling a little underwhelmed. I also happened to see it at Christmas and the Christmas portion was magical, but way too short, and there was no natural segue between the regular video and the Christmas one. I guess worth a shot if you have the money to spare but it's only good, not great.
Experience was not so great due thier video quality. It was like watching 240p video in youtube. The other 4-D effect was really good and they can improve their video quality.
Dreadful, makes you walk all the way long and go up there to find the venue closed. We were dozen from all over the world with the same disappointed look. Why the heck can't they make a sign at the beginning next to the hotel to tell people that venue is closed and that on a rainy weekend day in the afternoon. Vancouver has much to learn about signage on all levels from roads to places like these. And yes even on a public holiday places like these for tourists should be staffed and open!
Great staff who ensured our safety on the ride. Nice pictures and a great way to see the landscape
Brought my kids to the fly over Christmas special. They loved it! Will definitely be back
A good experience as always. 3rd time doing it. They had a Halloween special going on.
Try it! It's fun
Nice tourist attraction. Wish it was a bit longer
Amazing!... But you wait so long for a very short ride. What a pity!
So fun! Just a bit short, but really cool. I wonder if they have some more extreme rides too, it would be excellent with their setup.
The most magical experience you can have!! If you visit Vancouver you should definitely go there!! ????
2nd time in Vancouver & 2nd time for this journey across Canada. 20 -25 minute ride from the East coast to the West, visiting all of the Provinces & Territories - absolutely fantastic!!!!
I called Fly Over Canada on Dec 3 asking if Santa would make an appearance in the fly showing on Dec 5 I was assure the show included Santa so I booked tickets. My children patiently waited for him to show and nothing On our way out I asked an attendant why I was given the wrong information, she told me that show starts dev 9. I was offered tickets to watch the next show, the same show we just finished watching ( huh??). So I’m response I asked for tickets to the christmas show that would be shown Dec 9, the manager said she couldn’t do that. Needless to say $75 for something we’ve already seen being residents of vancouver and frequent “flyers” Very disappointed
The immersive experience itself was wholesome!!! My mind was blown! Did not expect it to be this awesome! Thank you for the wonderful experience. :)
I never knew such a wonderful activity is in existence. Its was a amazing experience and real fun. Virtually I explored most beautiful places of Canada. Loved it... should try atleast once. No video recording is allowed inside but you will have memories in mind which motivates you to explore the real places in Canada.
Amazing 4D experience to see Canada from above. They have the Halloween edition for now. Check for discount, they do offer student discounts too.
The VR experience was good, but not outstanding. The screen's resolution could be improved (especially on the sides of the screen) to provide a more realistic experience. The time of the ride should be longer as well for the price. Parking is pricey at the parkade ($20) so I advise you to find another nearby public parking. I liked the professionalism of the staff and the level of organisation at this place. It's a fun and different kind of activity to include on your list if you're visiting Vamcouver. But I think it has room for improvement.
The staff are great. The movie had no detail and was never in focus for $35 you should expect more. Update got a response from Owner really did not address the main reason people go to this event.
Compared to Disney’s Soaring California, it isn’t as good, but could still a worth it experience for someone who’s never been on such a “flyover” ride and won’t go to Disney. It’s a seated experience where it imitates the feeling of flying over grand landscapes and Canadian views, so don’t worry if you have people who get motion sickness or elders. This is not a thrill ride kind of ride :) I agree that the screen quality is alright but definitely could use an upgrade before I would be willing to come back. It’s only about a 8-9 minute ride. I rode the Canada one with my partner. It was nice, but a little boring in my opinion, possibly because I didn’t think the quality was amazing. Staff were friendly and directed us well through the experience.
Took the grandchildren who were so excited to see Santa and the toy workshop at the North Pole.
Great open flight simulation over stunning Canada locations..
Most amazing place to experience! My friend booked this place for both of us for two show 'Hawai' and 'FlyOver Canada'. We had missed our first show but team there accommodated us in the next show. She also kept my used drink and gave us a token to pick it from the staff after both shows. Amazing gestures!! The shows are worth to watch and give unforgettable moments... it's just wow!!
Unforgettable experience...a 4-D ride that shows you the best of the place you are exploring, whether you choose Canada, or their promotional show. See our country's sparkling lakes and spanning forests, and feel the mists on your face as you fly above our snow-capped mountaintops! At the time of this writing, the promotional option is Hawaii, so if you want to see Hawaii in person but don't want to spend the cash, fly over it instead!
It was awesome, I bring my mom and she enjoyed it like she went back as a kid. I am glad went there with mom..
I definitely think this is an experience worth doing if you have extra time, finances, or younger kids. It’s very similar to any 4d/virtual ride (soaring over California) make sure to buy tickets beforehand and look for days where the prices are cheaper.
Great place ,had lots of fun , watch beautiful scenarios of Canada while sitting , experiencing wonderful emotions upon the magnificent views and splendour of scenarios across the country , such vaste and colourful scenarios, breath taking views ,sweeping around the high up in the sky while remaining sitting ,wonderful feeling and mesmerising. Time fly very quickly and the show was over much too soon. I had the chance to also visit picasso painting showcase ,incredibly beautiful ,so different style of painting ,very inspiring and colourful.Heaven on earth ,lost among those beautiful paintings of immense grandeur.such a genius, so intelligent ,his paintings reflects his personality.sketches and dots ,so intricately executed.a master piece .
Hawaii is a must see but Canada was a disappointment. First off it would be great if they just added the province they were featuring. Second not all the best places were covered in the show.
Fly over Canada - christmas/santa. Super nice for families or couples of any age.
Way overpriced. Simple as that. Nice experience but not worth the money, sorry.
If you've been to an amusement park like Universal or Disney, I'm sure you've been on this type of VR ride. There are currently 2 shows, I went to the Canada one (the other one was about the West). The ride itself was short, but I really enjoyed it. First, the walk to this place is very scenic. You walk along Canada Place towards the water and the view is very pretty. They take a photo of you as you enter the building (can be purchased after the ride). There's a small 6-min movie before the ride to get you ready to 'feel' Canada. From entering the building to walking out, (including the 6-min movie, ride set-up and buckling up) I would say the whole visit is about 20-30mins. I do wish it was longer, but the ride does give you a nice idea of what Canada has to offer. I would recommend it to visitors and locals too!
Great experience! It's very much like VR, but without the goggles. You truly feel as though you are flying.
Flyover canada is an ultimate ride whole over the Canada and as i visited there yesterday, it was attached with some parts of U.S. I recommend everyone who is going to visit canada place Vancouver have to try it.it’s awesome.
Have been to this quite a few times. Really cool thing to do if you have visitors. They change the theme throughout the year to match holidays e.g. Christmas/Halloween
The show itself is incredible, albeit short. It's mind-boggling how they are able to achieve such a realistic sense of motion! I was absolutely blown away. In the theatre itself, it feels covid safe, but on the way in, people were herded like cattle, so it was a bit nerve-wracking for covid safety. Overall, if the run time was just a few minutes longer, and the entry less crowded, this would be 5 stars, for sure. I'll definitely be back!
We can’t click pictures inside but it’s an amazing experience!! You must try it once for sure.
Woooww !! That was a really awesome experience!! I 100% HIGHLY recommend this 3d realistic fly over tour!
It is beautiful experience , I flew over Canada , Iceland and Hawaii and I will go for more.
The overall experience was ok. The fly over Canada part is all of 15 mins. There is a very boring useless and unrelated pre movie. You go in a round room and stand while you watch the video. Then you are taken to an area where you wait to be seated for the show. The entire experience is 25 mins or less. Wthout the preshow...it would be 15 mins. The 4 star rating is based on the uselessness of the preshow. Although short...the fly over part is a 5 star experience.
Grifters! Beware! They’ll sell you a super pricey digital photo but only available for a brief window and god forbid you don’t download it before you get home from your travels. Even their contact centre can’t get their story straight. The event itself is really short and overpriced. Save your money and do something cool outdoors.
Visited on
We went on the "Hawaii From Above" show. It was an amazing experience! The ride itself was breathtaking. It was a bit short for the price, but really impressive.
FlyOver Canada itself is a great concept and place to take out of town guests however we were disappointed with the current "Hawaii From Above". Hence the 3 star review. Hawaii's flora and fauna are so diverse and rich, as well as the cultural experiences and this missed the mark. Endless ocean, endless green canyons - beautiful - but it was like watching it on repeat. Even "entering the water" it didn't really show any of the sea life. Where were the turtles, Hawaii's national fish? Boring for kids (and adults). It had lots of potential.
I was reluctant but it was way more amazing than I thought. The actual ride could have been longer. Gives your stomach a few lifts. I would recommend it.
The floor 2 staff really lacked common sense and zero personal skills. Firstly, I don't need to pull on my seatbelt as If I'm having a seizure. I was pushing out to the screen so hard, the belt wasn't going anywhere yet he kept cheering me on to tighten my belt. We aren't doing loops on a roller-coaster, it's a swinging chairlift. Tickets were checked twice within the same first show as he walked by twice all within a 30 second span. Why were we chosen to get our tickets checked twice and no one else? Then, telling us after the first show we can be seated anywhere for the second, then calling a supervisor to move us to accommodate another party after we have chosen our seat. Didn't even have the audacity to apologize for your own mistake. Show was great, video quality needs to be updated to high def, but that staff member got on my nerves from the very beginning.
Such an amazing experience, visually and physically with the water and wind blowing you feel the reality as you move through clouds, water and mountains.
It was fun but very expensive. I wouldn't go again but I don't regret going.
The experience itself is not bad, the issue is waiting approximately 45/50 minutes in line, watching 2 completely useless videos prior the actual show, and then the show lasts barely 8 mins. I would call it a rip off... Edit: the video quality is also poor.
Wonderful experience. Kids really enjoyed. Fly Over Canada Hawaii must see before its finished for the year.
It was a fun experience. You get that virtual feeling of flying over Canada. My only concern is if this is for tourists or out of the country visitors, there's no voice over or at least a brochure guide of sorts to describe the locations you flyover too. Though you actually feel like you're in a hang glider or para-glider complete with wind and water spray effects, I found it kinda short. I think there's more to see in Canada than what was shown.
Superb experience. Fully immersive - the first 5 min is a preview show but they take you to a seated room afterwards where you have to physically buckle in. Brought me back to disneyworld days, with mist, seat angling, imac visuals and experience, feels like you're in the drone/heli taking flight through the country! We saw the wild west and Canada dual show, was definitely worth it!! Highly recommend to tourists and locals alike ???? ????
I have been to flying over Canada in the past and had pretty good experience. Each time I bring someone new to share the experience. This is my fifth visit, and this time...was a bit disappointed. Unfortunately, when a question asked we were treated being push over rather than being listen and understanding our request. Anyway, I emailed customer service request to have management to contact me and it has been almost a week and have not heard back. It is too bad because it is high traffic for tourism and we like to hold a higher standard in customer service being tourism is such an important part in Vancouver and being where it is located.
Great fun. Don't go there after meal, though. There's shaking involved lol
Recently saw Fly over Hawaii. Fabulous ride that everyone should experience.I didn't want it to end. Only downside was that it was a bit short on time and the volcano experience at the end could have been a bit more exciting. Overall, great ride. Aloha.
Because of wildlife, i can't see the clearly but I'm sure this place is amazingly beautiful
Great! Even better when there are good deals :-)
Flyover is a great adventurous experience. We flew over hawaii and it was so beautiful. All those places those smells and that water and air on your face feels great.
The best VR experience I’ve had in my life. If it was a bit more long, I would’ve given it a five star. It’s was not fun at first, we thought it’s was just gonna be a big screen in-front of us but everything seemed so realistic. If you visit Vancouver and don’t try this ride, you haven’t had any fun
Did the Hawaii view. Very nice but video quality looked grainy at times. Ride was way too short..like 10 minutes for $35 adult. Not quite worth the price but it was a cool experience.
Short but sweet. Definitely worth the money even though it felt quite short. Also wished they didn't use CGI for some of the fly overs. Didn't take too much away from the overall experience
Was a cool experience, I’d go again. However the mist they spray stained my wife and I’s shirts, and the screen always seemed slightly out of focus.
My girlfriend wanted to do this again and again even though she got extremely motion sick! The only thing she talked about for days! Just wish it was a little longer for the price
My partner enjoyed it. I felt it was short-lived and mediocre. Maybe 8$ cheaper and I wouldn't have felt so bad about it. Also, there was a malfunction on the ride before us so we waited an extra 30 minutes. overall I would not do it again.
So much fun. Very well organized, great COVID safety protocol, friendly staff.
The actual experience was good. However, it was very hard to find the place on a rainy day. It is at the back of a big building and they need to put better wayfinding instructions
At first I thought I would be something boring and I would just be staring at a screen for 30 minutes but it was actually very realistic and almost felt like riding a roller coaster, would definitely do it again.
The Howlover flight simulation was very good and my daughter enjoyed the ride. They are very strict with the 102cm ride height restriction. Also if you plan to stay in downtown and just park near it, I would suggest convention Center as their cap was at $16 for daytime vs $24 under Canada place.
The concept and the ride is cool. However, it is just the same short video. It would be nice if there are more new movies. If not, it’s hard to go back. Once in a while there are some specials like Christmas. There was a children choir performance during Christmas time which was very nice and added a lot of flavor to the experience.
We also did fly over Hawaii this time and wow it was great. Not inexpensive. But worth it.
Fly over canda itself was amazing. Although we got in almost 10min after our scheduled time. The first step was a standing for 6 minutes in a virtual kinda screen cinema which I thought was boring. Then the flying over canada in the main cinema, lasted around 10minutes, which was too short for my liking. I wish it was longer, got promised 25minutes from what I understood.
Great activity for a rainy day in Vancouver - it would have been even better if they told you where the places are when they are on screen.
My husband and I recently made it over to Vancouver to catch the Hawaii From Above show and it was fantastic. We have been to the Islands multiple times and were surprised to see so much never-before-seen terrain that you would only be able to witness from the air. It was pure delight and we were sad when it was over. Aside from the spectacular images, I wanted to comment on the fantastic service that I received from the staff. I'd recently had a tendon injury to my foot with a surgery and it resulted in a non weight bearing situation and we nearly cancelled the plans to visit this attraction, but in the end, did not. We never asked for one special consideration from this venue, but every single staff member that we encountered went out of their way to try to assist me with my crutches and knee scooter. They proactively approached me and coat-checked my scooter and assisted me with elevators and stairs and even brought me a chair. It was unbelievably thoughtful and considerate and we were very touched at the kindness of the entire staff. In the midst of many people showing us their worst sides, we wanted to thank you for showing us your best. Sincerely, Craig and Lisa Victoria BC
The 4D ride at Flyover Canada (similar to Disney's Soaring California) really can get some upgrade. The resolution of the screen is no long state of art. Images are often blurry. However, for anyone that has never experience this ride before, they should definitely give it a go for the experience. Duration of the actual ride is short, less than 8 minutes. Waiting for the schedule ride, at least 20+ minutes. Price of an adult ticket, almost enough for a couple of 3D AVX block buster movies. Definitely, not a regular visit. Once every couple years+ should be plenty. Perhaps I been on too many rides in the past ????
Wow! A must see if travelling to Vancouver. Located in the Canada Place building which is beautiful on its own to visit (photos attached). As for the FlyOver Canada itself, the intro video they play before taking you on the ride wasn’t super well done, but the actual ride video - wow, just wow. I swear my heart stopped more than once. Absolutely breathtaking. You feel the wind on your face, the chill in the air when you hit a mountain peak, the mist going near Niagara Falls. Highly recommend. Located in a beautiful area of Vancouver - waterfront, next to the convention centre, less than a 5 minute walk from the Digital Orca - it is beside the next building over). Only downfall is that it’s in a really busy area - try to find street parking if possible, as parking in the parkade is a flat rate of $20 and it’s still quite a walk to get up and back out onto the street
We loved it. The film, the scents, the mist. The movement of chairs was smooth. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it is expensive (in my opinion) for a 15-20min ride. Check Groupon - that's where I bought our tix. Would still recommend though!
