Now this business gets a score of 4.6 out of 5 and that rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings is almost the best one, and it's based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the score is very reliable. If people have bothered to evaluate when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Tourist Attraction corresponds to the category of Tourist attraction.
Over rated, the suspension bridge isn’t that high and really not that much to see. Tree top wasn’t that high either and nothing crazy. I think it was ok for a walk in the park for maybe 15-20$ but for over 55$ wasn’t worth.
This place is absolutely magical. The Christmas theme lighting made it a bit more special indeed but even during the day this is such a great place to be. The bridge is quite high and yes, it moves a bit but gives you an amazing view. Definitely worth the visit Parking on site, metered, flat fee for 3 hours. Buy your tickets online and skip the queue
Enjoyable experience and nice walking paths. Just watch out for all the people wanting to take pictures, They sometimes take over a whole area where people are trying to get by and block the paths. Just say excuse me, then it should be fine though. This is however pretty usual in touristy areas. Other than that small pet peeve of mine, its a place I will want to visit over and over again, the lights are also a great touch.
They have a variety of bridges and lots of fun walking on those. Dog friendly. Beautiful lights and very well decorated. Highly recommend
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is the magical and mesmerizing amalgamation of all amazing things, both natural and man-made ???? Yesterday was a bright day and there was not a drop of rain for a change, so to get some respite from hectic work and ongoing packing for an upcoming move, we visited Capilano Suspension Bridge Park in North Vancouver. With the return of Canyon Lights, the beautiful park is decked up with many amazing lights of different colors (and oh-so-perfectly done, kudos to the staff!)! We spent a better part of 3 hours there yet couldn't cover all the amazing attractions, and we had a constant twinkle in our eyes throughout and after our visit!???? Can't recommend the place enough, and there's a lot on offer for everyone, young and old! The less I say about the attractions the better because each one is different and there's so much joy in discovering their magic for yourself. There are ample food and drinks options if you get hungry (though the queues might be long on busy days), and we enjoyed Southern Style Poutine with yummy Bailey's Hot Chocolate while warming ourselves up by the firepits as Christmas carols were being sung live by a talented staff member. A huge shout out to the friendly and helpful staff across the attractions who ensure that us visitors have a fantastic and memorable experience! ❤️ Parking is aplenty right across the street from the entrance, and every nominal pricing too at CAD 6 for 3 hours. But it's strange that the maximum amount of time that you can book a parking slot for is 3 hours without any option to extend it. Icing on this very yummy cake - BC residents such as us receive a complimentary annual pass when purchasing a regular priced ticket, so now we can go back there any number of times till next November! Hurray! In Arnie's words from Terminator, "I'll be back" ???? Pro tips: Booking the tickets online will save you some time by not having to wait in the entry queue, thus ensuring that the check in process will be a breeze. Also, using the PayByPhone app to pay for parking (lot #4536) from the comfort of your car soon after your drive in is recommended to save you a few more precious minutes. Finally, make sure to carry ample water and some snacks to keep yourself hydrated and nourished, something that can be forgotten very easily in the exciting environment.
Wait time
Very beautiful place. A must go in Vancouver. The forest is so enchanting and all facilities are in sink with nature. We enjoyed the bridge, the tree from tree mini-bridges, the walk, the views and how informative the visit was. Everything was perfect! There’s even a shuttle you can take from the city to there (the bus ride was also fun and informative). I would definitely recommend going there for a visit!
Nice experience!!! Adventurous place with lot of activities including suspension bridge, treetop and cliff walk. Unfortunately, couldn't do cliff walk because of lack of time. Stunning and breathtaking views. Worth taking annual pass. Enjoyed canyon lights which makes this a magical place. CliffHouse Restaurant has good ambience, did not try the food, but next time planning to try it out. Must visit and great way to spend your day and just get out and explore.
Great scenery, but very pricey. I haven’t been to capilano in about 13 years and it was nice seeing all the new updates!
The ideal place for all nature lovers! A magnificent suspended bridge leading to treetop adventures and cliff walks! A must visit in Vancouver. The perfect time to visit would be when the lights are on, which is usually from December to January or February. The light duration is always mentioned in the website.
Visited with 3 adults and 3 teenagers. Was good visit, but lost their attention after about an hour. Interesting walk atound the forest, but I preferred grouse mountain.
Awesome adventure! Covid measures taken seriously. You have to book your ticket online prior to getting there. If you’re a BC resident, with the price of one ticket you get an annual pass. It’s better to purchase this option as a BC resident because they have many events during the year and you can attend with you annual pass for free. There’s Sufficient paid parking just outside the entrance.
A must go to place if you're in Vancouver. It was fun and cool. A little tiring since you'll be mostly hiking up and down. Recommend place to go with family and friends. Make sure to wear something comfortable if you plan to visit.
The lights were beautiful and the snow made everything so much more spectacular. Would recommend visiting when the park is illuminated (Nov-Jan).
Visited with out of town family - was great to share a local tourist destination with them. The prehistoric looking forest and kids tree top adventure were easy hi lights. Certainly worth the stop with the right people!!!
I love this place! It is so beautifully set up and it's great they offer annual passes to BC residents. Their Christmas light decorations are incredible.

It’s a great activity and activity to do if you are visiting Vancouver. It was great experience and fun adventure. Loved the tree activities. Also got banana chocolate bread and hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream from treat corner. What a great feeling to have a hot beverage in cooler weather ????
Don't miss the canyon light experience. And the view are just really mesmerizing to watch from the bridge.
Canyon lights were so beautiful ♥️ It’s a must visit !
Second visit already, still stunning beautiful. Crossing the hanging bridge is fun. Christmas light setup are beautiful after night.
Capilano Bridge is not a full-day adventure. We spent 3 hours in the park and 1 hour in the gift shop. It was nice and interesting but for $50 a pop, I would say it’s overrated. I wouldn’t go back if ever I am in Vancouver again. We enjoyed our day but won’t do it again. To get your money’s worth, make sure you listen to the totem talk, nature talk, do the Suspension Bridge, Treetop Adventure and Cliffwalk. And check out their gift shop, cool souvenirs to choose from.
My recommendations for having the best trip: 1. Get the year pass! The year pass and the day pass are the same rate. Also there are some perks of getting a year pass. 2. If you are new to Vancouver or haven't explored Vancouver despite living there for some time (like me), I recommend you to take the free shuttle to the bridge from Canada Place. You will get a small tour of few places in Vancouver which is on the way to the bridge. The driver will tell you some amazing facts of the areas along the way. 3. If you would want to spend some time on the bridge (to take photos or enjoy the view), try to come before 12pm. I came by 10am and the bridge wasn't too crowded. 4. To keep kids entertained, a booklet with activities/questions can be found near the cafe. Once completed, you'll get a sticker when you return it near the bridge. 5. There are lots of spots to take instagram worthy pictures. 6. Good if you visit alone. For the best experience, visit with group of friends or family or just bring your dog (may need to coax with treats them to help cross the swaying bridge).
This was a great escape for the day, leaving behind a concrete jungle for an actual jungle. The suspension bridges and trails are relaxing and fun and my family enjoyed our time at the park. They have since added the cliff walk wich is really neat. There is restaurants and food stations, a gift shop and more. We will definitely be back.
I took child here years ago, back then I was upset that I wasn't aware it was not wheelchair friendly anywhere. Someone who never been to this city with a toddler in a wheelchair there was more on my brain ???? I carried my child around back then. 2021 I came back with a friend and it was nice, the masks mandatory outside is weird but not as packed as before
Lovely park. For kids there’s lot to learn, amazing place, history of bridge and information about forest, river, all natural sources. It’s almost a day trip, have coffee shop, restaurants and also ice cream shop.
Breathtaking view. My first time visiting a rainforest and it was spectacular. The air was so clean. We took lots of good photos. Very nice staff, there were story points in every attraction. Kids friendly place to visit.
Touristy but quite good just before closing and you get a year long pass as BC residents
Great place to take the kids and family to enjoy some really nice Christmas lights. Well definitely check it out again
The lights were gorgeous✨???? and such a fun thing to have when C-19 is active. Having the option to be outdoors with crowds, with safety precautions, but still being able to experience community…. It was really awesome.???? Currently getting my annual pass! This attraction is gorgeous all year round. What a beautiful place with rich, lush nature!???????? Blessed to live here! ????????
Always a great experience to have with the whole family. Enjoy the Ice Cream. And don't forget your anual pass.
The Christmas Lights are probably my favourite overall attraction in the whole of Vancouver right now. It’s absolutely stunning with so much to see and do. You pretty see everything you would in the day, however there’s endless mesmerising lights covering every square inch. You can see what you want, at your own leisure as many times as you want. You should allow a extra 30 mins for parking, as anything close is usually full. The place is clean with lots of COVID awareness etc
The views are stunning and if you’re hungry the cliff side restaurant they have there is great! The gift shop is full of lots of stuff and most of the items are local wares instead of junk from overseas. We had a great visit with no regrets, but it’s worth mentioning that it looks a little bigger on the map than it is in real life. It’s a bit pricey for what it is in a literal sense, but for many tourists like us who have never been in the rainforest before I think it is a worthwhile experience. Randomly we also saw a couple get engaged there today on the treetop adventure. If you’re seeing this, congrats again!
This was a great little walk. The bridge was fun, the cliff walk was fun. Watching the squirles was a neat. They have bathrooms, gift shop, coffee / snacks. Parking is a seperate cost from entry. We enjoyed every part of this. This is worth the drive if you can make it.
Very well maintained park with the suspension bridge as a main attraction. The park is on the touristy side but still great to visit. It's nicely arranged, well staffed and has lots of interesting information to read along the paths in the park. It's possible to spot many different kinds of local wildlife. The prices are a bit high for non-residents but it's worth a visit nevertheless.
Beautiful spot to spend a few hours the attractions are fun and there is lots to do and see. Great spot to take the family. It's a bit pricey but worth it to see it at least once.
What a magical time, my sons idea! I can not wait to go when they play Christmas music too. It was just a wonderful time we had at Cliff Walk!
One of top attraction near Vancouver. I loved the bridge, the forest, but most of all the cliff trail. The place is clean, friendly staff.
I hadn't been to Capilano Suspension Bridge since 1977, and what a delightful surprise to find it in such a well cared-for, sensitively developed state! For many of the folks we talked to, this provided a great introduction to coastal BC. It had all the elements of the things that are important to the coast - indigenous peoples, salmon life cycle, forest life cycle, water. All without having to leave the city. It could whet the appetite for more exploration, or cover the bases, depending on the varies interests. Beautiful and tastefully done timber framing throughout the 0ark, in addition to feats of engineering to marvel at. Well worth the visit, and great for kids! The staff throughout have been well-trained, are very helpful and polite.
Fantastic place to visit as a couple or with your family/kids with plenty of activities including a suspension bridge, treetops adventure, and cliff walk. There are some educational components throughout the park as well including some slug exhibits and some real hawks and other birds that they show and teach you about. You can spend lots of time here but you can also get through in an hour or so. Lots of variety and worth a visit for sure. Parking on the opposite side of the street. Little shops inside if you want to buy anything.
It is a nice spot, it quick to do the whole park in under an hour. It is nice to see the crane fish in the small pond. If you are coming from the city, take the free shuttle at Canada Place.
The park is amazing. Lots of interesting nature beauty with large and old trees. Some trees exceed 500 years old. Do not buy $140 tourist package. It is a rip off. Take the free shuttle at 999 Canada Place and pay only admission to the park which saves you almost $100 a pop. Enjoy.
Been to Capilano many times. 1st time with Christmas lighting. Not to be missed. Great job with the lights team Capilano. !!
Our local jewel. The lights were magical even in all the rain.
Amazing experience at Capilano suspension bridge. It’s great there are free bud services to the bridge. Avoid freaks who try to sway the bridge, when we were there, bunch of them were behind! Walked around for about 2.5hrs, I would say admission fee is worth it. Make sure you go to cliff walk, which we missed because I believe it’s on the other side (not the side where all the attractions are)of the bridge!
Yes
Honestly, I always battle with the price factor on this one. Having said that, the quality of the park definitely merits the ticket prices, and if you’re a BC resident you just kinda know you’ll be back here more than once per year, so the annual pass makes sense, especially for the built in discounts not just for Capilano and it’s stores and foods, but also other tourist attractions around Vancouver as well as a few restaurants and lodges. The park itself is always a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. I just found out today that it’s actually kind of awesome to go just after a good rain too, very fresh air and an amazing mood, and there’s always so many ways to get a good photo in if you’re an amateur photographer like me. Always enjoyable, and I’ll be back soon!
The tickets to go see the lights were expensive and not worth the price compared to other places. A ticket does not guarantee a parking spot, so we had to park in a residential area a few blocks away. The park was crowded with people, and social distancing measures were disregarded.
We went here for the Lights and it was fantastic. Even though it's a bit pricey, as a BC resident, I received an annual pass, so I can go throughout the year and next December for the lights again. They do a great job of setting up lights for the different areas. The other side of the bridge is my favourite by the pond, and crossing the bridge is always fun. There is a tunnel of lights that was great to walk through on the cliffwalk as well.
Way too expensive for what it is. Specially when there's Lynn Canyon Park suspension bridge so close from there and FREE. There's no point to pay this price to visit this place. It is a tourist trap. You should take the FREE shuttle bus to go hike the Capilano trails and go see the Cleveland Dam then return downtown for free with the shuttle bus. That would be worthed and FREE. I don't recommend to pay 55$+tx for Capilano suspension bridge because it is not worth the price at all. Use their free shuttle to reach the Capilano trail and go see the Cleveland dam instead!
Amazing views and friendly staff. Its also dog friendly which is awesome. My dogs liked the trails but the heights of the bridge so much. Had to carry him across as he was to scared haha
Such a cool history, I had no idea before coming! Highly recommended for anyone in the area.
Very cool, the bridge is just a start, and it ends up being a very scenic hike through the tree tops, as well as the cliff walk. I love watching and learning about the birds. The price of admission was well worth it
Capilano is Amazing! It's one of the best place I've been so far. Especially now from Feb 4-28 they have set up a love lights with red, pink and colorful Christmas lights almost everywhere ???? in the trees and bridges. Wear your best outfit and camera for the best shots
Great day out! It was way better than I expected. We went during Covid and they had it very well organized for social distancing. Parking was easy and the gift shop was pretty good. Buying an annual pass so we can go again.
Visited here back in 2000 and was a treat to return again and see all that they had added. The bridge is nicely lit up. Going across the bridge and feeling it swing was fun again, even 21 years later. The whole place is a great way to spend your day and just get out and explore.

Fun spot to visit while Visiting Vancouver. Definitely a family oriented place with lots of kids running around but a cool and unique Spot to check out!
Definitely worth a visit, the way they have created the tree top adventure without any damage to the trees was impressive.
It is what it is. A bridge that feels very unstable to walk across. It's fun. They've continued to build upon the walk which is good to see that the price of admission is going somewhere. There are a few lookouts and overall a beautiful scene.
It was fun. Took hour and a half to go through everything, also kind of pricey, but then you can go all year....I would say worth it. Highly suggest to be on mushroom.....
Amazing Experience. We had a chance to experience Canyon Lights and that was something. We would like to come back in around summer in daylight so that we can see around. Tickets are $54 per person, but BC residents it's an year's pass
Really fun place to just walk around. The lights are really nice and there's lots to do.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY COMING HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE SMALL KIDS. You are basically paying $55+tax to walk across a suspension bridge packed with people. You can go through the entire park in like 1-2hrs. It’s mostly designed for families with young kids where they can go on the Treetop adventures and learn about trees and birds and insects. It’s only worth for some nice Instagram pictures if that’s what you’re into but otherwise I’d suggest going to Lynn canyon if you want to cross a suspension bridge. And you don’t have to pay anything there. Definitely a tourist trap. The only slightly worthy thing there was getting to see birds up-close and ask their trainers questions about them. Pro-tip: if you go to Grouse Grind before, there is a $4 coupon on the receipt for the gondola that you can use on the admission price if you end up going.
It's a MUST! Beautiful place, really! Clean, the service is excellent, the view, an amazing experience!
Great place for a walk and adventure! Arriving at 9am when they open is best.. less people. I've also heard it's beautiful at night with all the lights on but I didn't see that, it was just suggested.
Beautiful setting for a peaceful walk on a sunny day! The lights were amazing! Brought back a warm feeling associated with this time of year. Truly needed during these trying times!
It is one of the most beautiful places in BC. Amazing suspension bridges! They have a great light show. It is a must-go in Vancouver!
Love canyon lights besides coming here anytime
Really nice park to visit. The suspension bridge is fun to cross, the canyon is narrow, and deep. The walk through the tree tops is awesome. If you can, then do come and see this place during "canyon lights". It was spectacular, a magical place. This was worth the ticket price, specially if you're from BC, then you get a pass good for the whole year!.
Capilano Suspension Bridge with lights looks like a piece from heaven. You can feel the Christmas there as the time stopped in one of the legend stories.
Definitely a place you want to check out if you are new to Vancouver. It’s a $55 ticket to cross the bridge and walk around a bit. They have a tree top walk which was pretty cool. I gave 4 stars as I believe the price is too much for what it is.
It is realy fun. You ride the suspension bridges between the very high trees and you walk on the trials ride at the edge of the cliffs. Be carefull no to drop mobile while you're talking pictures
This is definitely an amazing place to explore at least once in a day time and once in an evening time. It is an experience. Very close to nature.
This place is a must do, even if it's slightly out of the way from wherever you're staying. Entry price is crazy expensive though, but to be fair the place offers a lot, so it is worth it. The only downside is that Raptor Ridge was closed when I was there. :( Just gives me an excuse to come back! lol The bridge itself is really cool though, the Cliffwalk and Treetop areas are definitely musts, and the trading post has some excellent gifts and souvenirs. All in all, worth the price in my mind, as high as it may be.
Such a magic place! If you have the chance to visit Vancouver during Christmas times Do not miss this attraction. I felt in a living dream during my visit in the canyon of lights. Definitely a must do in Vancouver. Try beaver balls and enjoy a hot chocolate. My advice is take the shuttle or bus to avoid parking problems.
We went here for the first time and Christmas Lights were fantastic. Every area had lights and that to different types of lights. Suspension bridge walk was so beautiful and exciting! Coloured Lights were focused on the water which was flowing near and below bridge and it looked so mesmerizing. The wooden path through the forest was splendid. Treetops/treetop bridges were also decorated with string of lights. Overall the Christmas light display was amazing!! Definitely recommend! Would love to come back here in Summer to hike and explore the park during daylight.
Good experience. treetop adventure is great . However price seems to be too high which was $230 for four people. But the good thing for bc residents is that you can get an annual pass at the exit for no extra money.
Oh Capilano...such potential....amazing lights, pleasant staff BUT, and this is a massive BUT, it didn't seem like there was any health and safety protocols in place regarding COVID19. Social distancing is gone out the window as your ushered within a hairs breadth of the strangers in front of you. On top of that their free shuttle bus is...unreliable...to say the least. We waited over 40 minutes for a bus to pick us up only to call the park and be told that we should go to Canada place (as opposed to one of their hotel pickups) because the buses won't drive by if the bus is full or if they are running late, 20 minute walk/jog later we're finally on the bus with the other baffled parties that we we're waiting without any real acknowledgement about the whole leaving us on the side of Robson st. Its a shame because the attraction and the lights are stunning and it is so lovely to get to see them. If you can time it right so you miss the large crowds while also not getting left on the side of the road waiting for the bus then I'd recommend giving this place a shot!
Went for the Xmas lights display which was very good. With Covid going on the place was so jammed it was like the management did nothing to limit numbers. There was no social distancing and took forever to get across the bridge, I was being squished by people.......Huge cash grab, and in my opinion a disgrace. They should have been fined for this.
Beautiful lights, but crossing bridge was scary because there were lot of people on the bridge.
This is impressive. Don't stop going even if is raining.
Super amazing place! Lots of views to enjoy. I will recommend to come early and wait until night inside coz during dark time it has a long que in the entrance. It's better to come early than stock in the entrance. Weekend is busy day so plan your trip ahead. Entrance for annual is just $50+ for a year pass. There is free shuttle to go there to and comeback. The drop off and take off is at front of Canada place downtown. When your done you can take the same shuttle. It better to know to save your trip. Lots of parking space in the area. Have fun with your kids and friends. It's more beautiful when you see it in person.
Had a BLAST at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. All COVID-19 safety procedures followed extensively by the park, making my son and I feel very comfortable. The park had many offerings such as its well known Capilano Suspension Bridge, the new Treetop Trekking, and the thrilling CLIFFWALK! The gift shop offered many different gifts, and their fudge was very good (I'd recommend the pistachio).
So much fun to see the Canyon Lights! I felt so amazing being out amongst the trees with all the magical light displays. Pro tip: go for ramen after to warm ya up ????
Such a beautiful spot at night, especially with the lights. For how detailed and clean the space is, the price is worth it as well. I think this would be a magical date spot and a cute spot for a photoshoot.
2021.11 $6 parking 3 hrs and $54 ticket. To me is a bit expensive. Is it worth it, well if you hv time staying there for 2 hr or more for all the mini trail and going like Xmas season will worth it. Coz they have light decorations
I was my first time going to there. I thought it's gonna be a nice time to spend at the park. But for surprise it's a really short walk and more than expensive almost 60ca$ only to walk through a bridge. I don't recommend to go there. There are better things in Vancouver and less expensive.
Really exciting experience - somewhat terrifying but very fun!
So pretty and fun! I would highly recommend going if you are visiting Vancouver! They also have a cute little cafe with really tasty hot apple cider!
Amazing place to bring kids and family. It might be cold as the place is surrounded by water, plants and mountains. BC residents can get 1 year pass when u buy your tickets for the first time.
Beautiful place with tons of lights for Christmas, incredible setup and wonderful place to spend and evening with the family.
Great for families and people looking for some close to home nature. Not recommended for avid hikers. Very well organized and clean environment. Lots of stuff to see and appreciate the forest and natural environment around us. Expensive for what it is though.
Bad experience. You pay a full price at private corporation, the front desk mentions nothing about attractions/trails that are not open, but gladly takes your money. Really wanted to see the raptors exhibit was met with 3 empty bird cages. This would have been fine only I was immediately met with trail closure signage after. Again, a private company that misleads customers with no signage mentioning attractions/trails open on their front page or at the front desk. I asked for a partial refund. Spoke to staff, waited and then spoke to her supervisor, and was told to wait again for her manager (the heck?) from an administrative building. I'm visiting from Toronto, and would highly not recommend.
Definitely a must go place specially during Christmas season. Lighting is so nice. They have good friendly staff that make sure everyone is following Covid SOP. Parking can be busy during busy season and they provide shuttle service starting from a near by underground parking lot so if you park there you can use shuttle to to to the park.
$55 a person for a bridge? There are other suspension bridges which are for free in the nearby areas. The totems and treetop trekking were fun add ons but not for $55 a pop. Plus it was SUPER crowdy. Lots of fun activities for kids though.
I don't do well with heights so it was uncomfortable when a lot of people got on the bridge and made it swing, but there are some truly fantastic views. Treetop and cliff walk were both great. The whole thing is well organized. Price of admission is a bit steep, but BC residents get a season pass for that price. Definitely recommend visiting.
Great morning of waking through a rainforest. Nice sights and friendly staff make the visit enjoyable.
What a magical place in the morning. The sunlight through the trees is gorgeous! The whole place gives off a Disney vibe- in the best way. Plenty of helpful staff, super clean, very well maintained. People holler about this being a tourist trap, but I thought it was very much worth the cost. It is NOT handicap accessible and expect to climb a LOT of stairs! Tip: ask about a student discount!
Very adventurous place to visit. You need at least 2 hours to explore. Very good and different place, was lots of fun. Really enjoyed huge and tall trees almost 150 years old. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as lots of walking. Mask was mandatory on bridge due to Covid but others areas it’s not mandatory. They have very good ice cream which I really enjoyed in hot day. Gift shop seems to be overpriced. They also have snacks to buy. Awesome place to go.
One of my favorite spots for walk, especially during Christmas. If you manage to go during the rare white Christmas, you will not regret it. Snow amplifies all the lights and makes it that much better.
Lovely activity for kids and families. Lots to learn about the history and nature, but I would not recommend going on Saturdays as it gets way too crowded and the Suspension Bridge becomes impossible to walk. The Suspension Bridge and Cliffwalk path could trigger people's fear of heights as the bridge shakes and the path is made of a see through metal surface.
True gem of West/North Vancouver, we’ve visited during both seasons, and the park doesn’t cease to surprise every time! Particularly enjoy how there is always something interesting happening, and can’t wait to come back. Cool fact: you’re allowed to bring dogs (in the winter at least!)!!!
The lights at capilano were so magical. Absolutely loved the display. It was coveted in snow on the day of our visit and that made it extra beautiful and heavenly. A must go place during Christmas season. The cliff walk should be done during day time so enjoy the depth of what it looks like
What a great experience! At first I thought the ticket was so expensive but it includes the tree top trekking and the edge walk. It's such a serene, fun and jaw dropping experience. This has been one of our faves visiting Vancouver. This is the most well planned, excellent quality park we've ever been to. Loved everything about it.
first things first - it’s quite pricey $57 (with tax) for an adult ticket. If you’re from BC you can get it stamped so that you can use it all year round which is great! I was staying by Canada place and there was a shuttle that picked up every 30 minutes on the hour and dropped you right in front of the park. It was about a 15 minute ride each way - so not far at all and the shuttle was free! the bridge itself is really beautiful but super scary when you initially get on it especially if you’re scared of heights. I was pretty scared but when I got on the bridge again to go back to the entrance it was not bad at all. I felt when there were more people on it it felt a lot worse and swayed a lot. It takes about 4-5 minutes to walk across at a regular pace with people in front of you. overall, yes I would recommend it if you’ve not done it before! It’s a pretty unique experience.
No wait

Such an inspiring experience. Even though it seems a bit tough but it was worth it. The staff was super friendly, caring, and welcoming. The park itself is just AMAZING... you can't get enough! It was magical and wonderful! So happy I had a chance to visit this place. :)
The tickets are expensive, but it is worth it. For 2 adults (Non BC residents) we paid $57.70 per person (taxes and fees all included) and also note that you need to pay for parking separately (we paid $6.35 for parking). It’s a bit high of a price tag, but it was well worth it. We arrived early (9:30am) it wasn’t too busy just yet, but still good number of people. The highlight of course was the Capilano Suspension Bridge which is just marvelous. It is a bit scary to walk across, but I felt more comfortable on the return (you need to come back on it to exit the park) I recommend definitely taking lots of pictures (make sure your phone/camera are securely held - Loopy case on my phone came so handy) Once you cross the bridge, there’s Treetops Adventure which was also very fun & beautiful. There were Owl talks happening there too. Also don’t miss out on the Cliffwalk! It was also very nice - a few more photo spots. It’s a great place to come and enjoy the nature - very close to Vancouver!
Excellent sighseeing place ! Treetop travel is amazing and suitable for yound kids. Have free shuttle bus from downtown to the park. What's more, BC resident can exchange annual pass in service center. Will definitely come back during different seasons !
We absolutely wanted to visit Capilano's suspension bridge. We really loved it! My wife, who is afraid of heights was a little worried at the beginning but everything worked smoothly! If you're a BC resident you can have the annual pass for the same price and your guest will have 15% less on their entrance fee so do not hesitate to ask for it!
What a great place! We came to this place to celebrate our anniversary from Montreal! Everyone, from the start of our journey, were very nice with us. Great stories we listened, very nice places to see. Do you want to go to a magical place a meet the magical people of Vancouver? Go to this place. Thanks to the people who helped us with our pictures, the ladies in the store, the guides going around in the park, the drivers!! Omg! Thanks for the story and your good vibe! Thank you for being part of our souvenir!!
The suspension bridge is cool, but the Treetops Adventure and the Cliffwalk are amazing! Reserve at least three hours to see everything this place has to offer. Tip: Park admission tickets give you free access to the shuttle service.
Very nice and relaxing. Good choice of activity if it’s too hot downtown
Wonderful. Organized. Lovely. Amazing views. And breathing the air with the trees was so fresh! Nice adventure
It was a wet day today with the rain but the experience was still pretty great. The views from the suspension bridge and cliff walk was breathtaking. It's an activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family.. if you're not afraid of heights.
Interesting place to go. You can go in the morning or afternoon but it is not for all day
the fee as of August 2021 was almost 50 USD per person, it is a bit expensive but it is worth visiting. I would definitely visit it again. Being in a forest quite like this is just amazing!!
Such an amazing place to visit. Went there with some family and friends for the first time and it did not disappoint. Seeing the different species of flora was really nice as well as taking in the fresh air and sights. This was definitely a trip to remember and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Oohhh... how beautiful and peaceful! Magical place, definitely worth 50$. Stunning, breathtaking views! When we went there it was lightly raining and still had an amazing time! Everyone should visit at least ones for the experience! Additional ⭐ parking space is great! We were traveling in the big tow truck and it's easily fitted in the spot. Amazing I love it!!
I always visit this place on Christmas time when the whole place is filled with lights . however wear warm cloths as the temp goes in minus at night.
This is an excellent family friendly location. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but it was busy the day we went. Once inside the park, there was more than enough space to be socially distant and 95% is outdoors. What a remarkable history, and a lot of fun traveling many feet in the air from tree to tree. The edge attraction is also spectacular, being able to over look a beautiful river and trees. Well worth the cost, great way to spend two to three hours. I would add this to a must see list for families traveling to Vancouver.
Ooooohh WOW ! did not expect the ice cream to be this delicious!! You have to try the lemon yogurt cookie ( it has pieces of cookie inside) and strawberry lemonade ( I've never tried a strawberry ice cream with so many fresh strawberries blended inside! ) Its soooo good I really didn't think it would be this good! Wow! ( ice cream shop is inside the gift shop!) And the fudge is really good too just a little too sweet for me but I absolutely adore Capilano Bridge! This place is awesome! Its definitely worth it to be members here..my first year seeing the Canon Lights display such a spectacular sight. Felt like I was in a Star Wars ( the movie) special production for the holiday season...Best time to go is the last slot of the evening not too busy. 10 months ago: We are now official members here! We love this adventure walk into the lushious Canadian rainforest! A beautiful place to wonder through the tree tops and learn something new with the tour guides on site. The gift shop is also a nice place to wonder through.
Very bad experience. Paid for tickets just to arrive there and not to have a place to park the car. One parking lot was closed and one full. We've been asked to find parking in the neighborhood..no luck as everything was just for residents. Such a waste of time... we had a baby and a little kid with us. They should improve their organization. Now we have to wait for the refund.
Very nice experience! Clean and neat place! Very accessible place! Parking lot is organized and large enough to take lots of cars, it is not expensive as well! Walking on the suspension bridge was wonderful experience! If you are resident of BC then the annual pass for 57 dollars which is very reasonable price! Highly recommended!
Had a wonderful time with family! Two places for eat, gift shop, hot chocolate at another side of canyon, 6$ for 3 hours of parking, by the way 3 hours enough to explore everything there including restaurant. For BC residents much cheaper to by annual pass.
Beautiful place, there's entire trial to go through, there is an entrance fee to get it, 135 for a family of 3 with six and under for free.
This was a beautiful park! And very clean! Easy to walk through, didn't stay too long. I would definitely get food here next time and the ice cream was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend the ice cream. The main bridge does get congested so make sure you go at a good time if you're wanting to concentrate on pictures.
Had a great time! If you love the wilderness and walking you will love Capilano! Worth every penny!!!
The lights, decor and vibe are great. The only downer I'd say is the crowd. The place was just way too crowded when we were there. Not sure is they were managing the inflow of people based on the reservation times booked. There is no distancing. So be careful when picking your time of visit. The area itself is beautifully done.
It was a great experience only reason for 3 starts is because it was not as long and large as expected. It's quite short distance compared to the pictures but it has lots of different places to explore. So in all fun time.
Nice place to take a stroll around the park to see Christmas lights.
Pretty nice but overpriced and usually very busy. Wish the prices were kept at $30s. Make sure to check out the cliff walk by the entrance! Great place for families, there's also restaurants and a small concession store on the other side of the bridge.
An iconic destination in Vancouver. Beautiful Rainforest with treetops and indigenous history. Great place for families, adventures and photographers. There’s a gift shop, a restaurant and paid parking across the street. I really enjoyed it!
We had so much fun in the park! We went through the whole thing twice. I loved the Treetop Adventure most. It felt like being on Endor (for the Star Wars fans). Out junior high aged kids had a blast too. We packed a picnic lunch and ate at one of the many benches in the park. There are a couple of food establishments on site though and both looked great!
Really well laid out trail and the friendly staff keep it well maintained. We were lucky enough to go the day before the lights are taken down and with the snow it looked even more spectacular. Would recommend, especially for BC residents who can get a year's pass for the same price as a day admission right now.
Great tourist spot…even better if you’re local as it’s around 60$ with parking to walk across and around if you’re not from BC. Great views and free little rain ponchos if you get caught in weather.
Beautiful views with a fun environment for the whole family! All the staff was super kind and informative. And as a bonus I happened to be there after they had set up the lights throughout the park... so cute!
Great place! You can do the Skywalk, Suspension Bridge, Treewalk or walk through the forest. Its especially beautiful in the dark with all the lights on. You can grab something to drink at the cabin, or have a dinner inside. BC residents het 10 percent discount. Re-entry is not possible. Parking is 6 dollars for 3 hours. There is a free shuttle to downtown, no reservation required. The park is not that big, you can see everything in 1-2 hours. In my opinion, it was a bit to expensive.
Great spot for sight seeing and good spot for beginner hikers as well as advanced hikers
Great place to visit when snowing. The night lights are beautiful. Demand for this place is hight right now and I can only imagine how it's going to be once tourist can come in from abroad.
This place is breathtaking! Went with the kids and we all had fun! The staff were very polite and helpful.
A fun experience where you can learn about nature and enjoy amazing views. The staff was very friendly as well.
The park is fun, and you get a rush from the time you step onto the bridge right until you get off. The sway is refreshingly scary at times! You’ll pass the suspension bridge twice (enter and exit) so it’s good to get pics while you’re swinging in the breeze. The cliff walk has a nice lookout spot where you can see out and below you; it’s a bit freaky, and the tree top walk is also great. Nature all around you including staff with birds of prey. Lush air and waters. A bit pricey at $54 for what it is, but worth the experience.
The place is done up well and the lights among the trees are really beautiful. It bodes well that if you're a resident of BC, you get an annual pass which can be used for as many trips as you please during the following year. If you're not a BC resident, the 60 bucks for a singe trip might be a bit too much! Nonetheless, could be worth taking the kids here, specially during the holidays!
Second time at this park and I really enjoyed myself! The suspension bridge itself is a bit too busy, and there isn’t all that to see in the park, but the greenery is lovely and I’d suggest for those visiting Vancouver to go here.
A great place to go with the family! In Christmas time is totally a diferent experience.
Vancouver is a place with lots of greenery, ancient trees and nature so this is one of the many places you can visit. I came here after going to Whistler, hiking to Lake Garibaldi and somehow this looked really commercialised after that. The ticket to get in is really pricey for non residents and basically the main attraction is the suspension bridge. I understand that the cost of maintenance and staff required to run the place is not cheap but it's a little too costly for me. In addition, they do allow quite a lot of people to visit at one go even though it's a pandemic so I cannot imagine a non pandemic scenario, it should be jam packed. There is hardly any social distancing and when someone stops to take photos at every tree stop, it holds up the crowd (I do understand that influencers need to post a lot of stuff but do be considerate and take it quickly so that you don't hold the flow of the crowd. There are little ponds here and there but it's murky and muddy (unlike the lakes at Whistler). Despite signs of no vandalism, there seem to still have folks who scratch their names with their partners and some other stuff so it kind of spoils the efforts of the staff. All in all, this is a nice place to bring your children for a nature walk with some nice activities to do along the way, but the crowd is quite scary considering this is a pandemic situation and some folks do not wear their masks properly.
Beautiful place! So much more than just a bridge! We weren’t expecting to spend so much time here. So much fun with so much to learn throughout the trees. Staff was very informative and attentive.

Lots of fun and activities there, much more to explore and nicely preserved historical place, amazing to see ancient trees and plants, must be visited
Lovely place. Went on a week day to avoid crowd. Had an amazing time in the wild nature.
Beautiful Christmas Lights! Great winter attraction indeed. Highly recommend visiting ???? ????
A winter wonderland! I guess we got lucky for it to snow to see the magical place and the Christmas lights!! Amazing for a date night or a proposal during this Holiday session!!! Highly recommended sight to visit if you’re in Vancouver!
Natures beauty at its finest. Lovely walk along the Capilano suspension bridge and a tasty ice cream you can buy on the other end of the bridge. If you’re looking for a peaceful sound of nature, this is the great place to go. Just a little pricey when it comes to the entrance fee but it’s gonna surely be worth it.
It was an awesome experience for all the family, everything it’s really beautiful
One of the best Suspension bridge walk to be experienced. And it's a must visit during Canyon lights to experience that Christmas magic. Well maintained and regulated entry. But use your own caution to experience this as the place is super crowded. You cannot cross the bridge without bumping into other people.
Wonderful place, a must visit, extremely clean. Spectacular views
Overall a great experience! Beautiful rain forest! I do feel that the tickets are slightly over priced!
Definitely worth visiting! Must go after the snow! You will be amazed ! The magical world will pop up in front of you!
Fantastic place. There's a lot more to see than just the suspension bridge. There is a tree top walk and birds of prey to view as well. Great place to take kids. There are lots of washrooms and places to buy food. I will visit again!
It's nice that the Suspension Bridge attraction also includes a shuttle to and from downtown Vancouver. It is a bit pricy though for the view if it's just a rainy day.
Visited on
Great place to visit. Views are outstanding
Canyon Lights are amazing!! Lots of staff walking around. Just a great a experience. Yes it is expensive but for 55 bucks you get a year pass. I'll be making use of that for sure!!
This is a must visit place, if you are in Vancouver you cannot miss this place. The whole experience is absolutely amazing, especially because I love to be in nature and so the walk on the bridge, nature's boardwalk, tree house, canopy walk. There's so much to learn at each place, may it be the raptor ridge or the events like totem talk, nature talk and places like story center. Also, there's team available at different location to engage with. Don't miss Cliffwalk, the experience is totally worth it. Loved it so much
Amazing experience and for us it was one of a kind. Place is kept very well. Suspension bridge, cliff walk and treetop pathways are great. Tickets are a bit pricy though.
Very safe and absolutely amazing view. I highly recommend to get the yearly pass if you live in BC.
Great park. Amazing sites, peaceful and fun bridges. The main suspension bridge sways a lot but it's safe. Highly read in the fall. Very beautiful but wet.
This was the first time I went here as an adult and I loved it! Went to see the winter holiday set up they had with lights. It was so pretty and well put together. All the walkways were nice. I went on a rainy day but that didn’t stop me from fully enjoying this place! The lights we beautiful. I loved the part around the bottom by the pond with all those ornament style lights, the lights were all over the pond, it looked magical.. The pictures turned out great as well. The little coffee shop was good, I got their earl grey tea and my friend got a coffee. They had little gingerbread treats which was cute. Staff were kind and helpful. They all had to just stand in the rain the whole time, so they were patience despite all that. This is for sure a place I would like to check out again in the summer! The best part is for locals you pay once to go in and at the end before leaving you can sign up for a free year pass! Sl worth the price! Cant believe I didn't come here until now and its so close to home.
Cool experience, well organized, perfectly maintained, clean park. See my review for Treetops Adventure Vancouver (same park)
Visited for canyon lights and what a view! They did a gorgeous job lighting up the canyon. The tree walks were incredible, such a fun experience. They had fire pits and chairs to enjoy and a few places to eat! We had the lodgers grill, 10/10 best pulled pork sandwich. I found tickets pretty expensive for the experience but other than that- great way to spend the day.
The world-famous bridge is lit, end to end, with a multi-colour changing display, adding to the magic of crossing the canyon above the illuminated Capilano River. Journey into the rainforest and walk high above the forest floor between the eight tallest Christmas trees in the world on Treetops Adventure. The mesmerizing “Arc de Lumina” light tunnel wraps its way along a portion of Cliffwalk.
If you like line ups you will find this magical. We mistakenly thought this would be a nice way to spend the evening looking at the light. The tickets are way oversold. There was no parking so we had to park 2km away and take a shuttle. The we lined up to get in, lined up to cross the bridge, lined up to take the cliff walk. All in sub zero temperatures. Not fun at all.
The view is spectacular! The shuttle is easy to board and the route is amazing. Deducted one star cuz the attraction is super crowded and there’s lines among all three attractions; treetop, cliff walk and suspension bridge itself :/
A wonderful experience! Definitely need to go at night though to get the full extent of the displays! Great place for all ages. But sometimes the walkways can get slippery, so if mobility is an issue keep that in mind. You have to buy your tickets online first and it's a timed entry! So make sure to plan accordingly! And parking can be an issue sometimes. They do have a parking pass and a shuttle to and from a local mall if the lots get full.
Very beautiful place and great for families or couples on retreat. I definitely do not recommend coming here on rainy days since it does make the bridge a bit slippery, so be careful and plan well! Very picturesque, there's definitely a lot of choices to take a selfie or group photo on whether you want a pond side view with the trees or a silly pic of what bird wing span you are. I had the ice cream there which was refreshing but melted quickly. I did the treetop adventure with my little sister. We gave up doing the activity but instead enjoyed the view. Great for first-timers but can be a but boring for people that have been here already.
We brought the ticket online so we can skip the line at the entrance! It’s very good to go with family and children! We get to experience the rainforest and see owl and falcon!
Absolutely worth the visit, a little pricey but for BC residents it’s essentially a year pass. Gorgeous views. Parts of the attraction may be a little scary for people who are afraid of heights, but you should visit nonetheless.
A bit expensive but the lights are pretty. If you go around sunset, you'll get to see the pretty lights before and after it gets dark. ????
The bridge was super cool and exciting! Yet, it wasn't too extreme. Even my friend, who is really scared of heights went on it. The wooden path through the rainforest was so beautiful - especially with the Christmas lights! The hot chocolate was great, just kinda expensive for my feeling. The area might be a little bit annoying if it's crowded because on the bridge and the cliff walk is not much space. However, I went during the late morning in a December week and there weren't many people. So, we had the bridge for ourselves and even the cliff walk. Was definitely a good investment!
It is expensive but worth it. We went on a cool day, no rain and not too many tourists with us. It was easier to enjoy nature with a small crowd. The cliff walk was great as was the tree walk. Food choices looked good although we did not eat. Lots of parking, price was reasonable.
The dramatic and dream-like Capilano Suspension Bridges are located in the Northern part of Vancouver, and are easily reachable by bus from downtown. After a pleasant 20 minute bus ride, which as an added plus is a great way to get an overview of Vancouver, you can easily spend 2 hours running around the various suspension bridges. Great gift shop on-site for souvenir shopping an added bonus.
Very beautiful natural scenery... The suspension bridge is amazingly long and makes the heart flutter but feels happy when you through... Its a really fun place... Clean public facilities... And you can nuy souvenirs invthis place... Unforgettable experience... The coolest thing, if you manage to cross the bridge, you will get a certificate
It’s definitely worth the visit. We listened to other reviews saying it was crowded and decided to go from 3-6pm on a weekday. I think that was the right move as it didn’t feel too crowded.
Great place to see nature in Vancouver. It gets busy during sunsets. Good to come early and then take it in.
It's an OK experience. The pro: - walking in the nature surrounded by lots of old tree - a little adventurous yet safe for children to walk in the nature surrounded by tree and lots of bridges - there is a game for children to keep an eye for and make the experience more interesting - lots of information provided, the guide are very nice and helpful, there's a falcon and hawk in the middle of the way that kids are very thrill to see them. Contra: - PRICE! It's too expensive. Almost $50/person and $30 something for children. - Too crowded. I can just walk in the nature myself without need to pay. I might visit once in a blue moon.
A fancinating place that visitors must go, better experience before Christmas with lights, lots of lights.
Such a beautiful place. That bridge is a wonder considering it was made when there weren't that many machines available. The other activities in the park are very amusing as well. The cliff walk and Tree tops activity in particular was spectacular!
Amazing. If you are visiting in a chill day come prepared with gloves and a good jacket. The festival of lights during Dec and Jan is fantastic.
#Capilano #Suspension #Bridge #Park Capinano Suspension Bridge Park has so many amazing views and it may give you feel of a Rain Forest. Here you can see some trees over 1300 years old in very healthy condition. This is a must go place if you are visiting Vancouver specially with kids. Be prepared for weather and your hiking or non-slippery shoes.
A very cool place to see and experience, especially with the Xmas lights display. The only thing is, it's crazy busy. With all the people there, it makes it hard to actually see some of the bridges in full view when walking on them. The lineups to cross the bridge are very long. The parking situation is horrible and driving there takes forever because of the traffic jam from the parking lots. Would recommend visiting with the lights but going just before it gets dark so you can see the bottom of the canyon and surrounding rock faces, etc.
It was an amazing experience visiting Capilano. Booking is very easy, we took the free shuttle from Canada Place, everything was very convenient. The staff is super friendly. Must go for everyone. The food at the restaurant was delicious.
One of tourist should visit when coming Vancouver. The bridge , kids love the tree path adventure, loved to see owl, during Christmas season there will be light show here. No need spend more time here. One hour is enough. Worthy to come if travel to Vancouver.
In my subjective opinion, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is the best entertainment in Vancouver. Connecting the 2 banks of the Capilano River, a 137-meter bridge (slightly swaying when moving) was built in a unique rainforest ecosystem. The level of biodiversity is simply amazing. Douglas fir????, thuja, western hemlock, maple????, alder, relict fern, moss grow here. In addition to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, the entertainment complex includes Treetops Adventure and Cliffwalk. Treetops Adventure is a series of suspension bridges attached to Douglas firs. I was very surprised when I found out that the construction of bridges doesn't have nails or bolts penetrating Douglas firs, and is also designed for the growth of the trees. Being in the forest, there's a feeling of contact with the centuries-old wildlife, something unique and real. The purity of the air is amazing!!! Part of the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park Cliffwalk seems more dangerous. Wooden paths are attached to the granite rock by cables. And to tread on such a path, especially if it is wet, is scary. You can finish the walk in Cliff House, Loggers'Grill restaurants, Bridge House Cafe, as well as in The Trading Post shop where you can buy souvenirs and local unique food. Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is not only an introduction to the excellent engineering structures, flora and fauna of the rainforest, but also immersion in the traditions of the indigenous peoples of British Columbia thanks to totem poles???? in the park. I was completely delighted!!!
I've been here before, during Labour day, twice during the festival of lights and my birthday two years ago. Going to see the Christmas lights this afternoon. I love it during this time of the year and now because there's snow. Smell of the pine trees also helps with the christmassy feeling.
I loved the views we recieved however the price of admission was quite high! I'd definitely recommend re considering if you were planning on paying full price
Busy, but bearable. Beautiful!!! Wonderful Christmassy outing to do with family or friends. Probably takes 2 hours to get through, which goes by quickly. Parking can be tricky, allow time to find parking.
so so amazing. I got amazing pictures to add to my collection, yes although it is a little on the pricey side it is more than I could've ever expected. The bridge was amazing, I got some great pictures and the view was amazing. You wouldn't think that you're in a city at all. It has such a calming tone. It's very quiet nearly no chatter, the cliffwalk was my personal favorite though. It had such an amazing feel. Really did feel like a cliff walk AHA. Most of these pictures were actually taken from there! Please come here if you have time. More than worthy of the price, a nice stop from your normally city life just to really get a feel for nature! ????????
It's a bit pricey but it's one of those "do it once and never have to do it again" type of things. You can enjoy the entire area within 2 hrs-2 and a half hours. This bridge definitely swings so if you're nervous about that, this may not be for you. Although it isn't the longest suspension bridge in Canada, it's definitely still long enough where you can take your time to cross. Lots of different viewpoints in the area. We took the free shuttle from the Hyatt Regency Hotel downtown and it was very quick! You also get a free shuttle back to downtown.
Knowing nothing about the park, at first my husband and I thought that the price of admission was pretty steep. But heck...we were here, we are tourists, so lets do the tourist thing. But by the time we got to the blasts of poetry along the Nature Walk, we were completely and utterly won over by the beauty and careful cultivated experience. We loved seeing the children learn about the trees and all aspects of the forest environment. The spectacular Cliff Walk was the final icing on the cake. It was not very busy when we visited, so that probably added a lot to our experience. So I recommend trying to choose a non-peak time. Give yourself at least 3 hours to breathe in the fresh aire and to take it all in. This is one of the most enjoyable tourist spots I've ever been to!
Beautiful place, good view, we really enjoyed visiting the Beauty of this place with our little toddler, it was fun for her.
I always enjoy my visits to the suspension bridge, each time I go I see something new.
Very good experience! The canyon lights are a must see
Awesome experience, several lookout points to visit with a marvelous view! The ticket price is pretty expensive.
If im buying ticket (not cheap) with arrival time, I expect to get parking spot, not driving around the neighborhood for half an hour and park 20min walk away. I apologize to girls by entry in snapped on, I know its not your fault. Its very beautiful, but you can not really enjoy because of bad organization. Half of the time you spend waiting in a long lines. Not going back and wont recommend anyone. For that price can have more fun anywhere else.
Magic beautiful place, specially at Christmas season, tons of lights everywhere, pet friendly and good affordable food. It's a must see at North Vancouver!
Stunning beautiful lights. I came there around 4pm a day before Xmas Eve, spent nearly 2 hours walking across the bridge, then tree top and cliff walk. All have unique decorared lights that i was really enjoy and taking a lot of good pictures.
Good place for visit. Lots of walk and fun. Advisable for kids.
I was lucky enough to experience the Christmas lights, I have never quite experienced something so beautiful in my life. This was the best experience of my life.
Amazing experience, good lighting, an hour long trip.
It was a wonderful experience. Been there a couple of times now and the staff is amazing and the scenery is mesmerizing. Parking is quite a hassle.
We went to the capilano in mid December. It was not snowing by then but weather was super chilly. We didn't know there is free commute to and fro from the Downtown. You can hop on from the Canada place. Buses are in 30 mins in interval from 9 to 6 I believe. We bought our ticket at the counter and we were told to collect the year free pass on our way out. Yay! Year free pass is only for the residents and not the visitors. The festival of lights was magical experience. We spent more than 6 hours there because we went early by 12PM. Actually it's possible to cover everything within 2-3 hours . Plan accordingly. There are two restaurants and one Cafe with good options.
Went there on a rainy day and i enjoyed myself and nature. When you walk in you have the front desk and the lady there was nice and asked us where we were visiting from. Do not forget to pay for parking, you can also pay at the front desk when you buy your tickets. You have guides a little bit everywhere that are willing to give you direction or any other type of information. There's places to eat and also washrooms all around which is great. The park is clean and the scenery is beautiful. The only thing is it is not worth the price.
Wow! It was so wonderful even with a little bit of rain and fog. The Valentine’s Day lights were looking awesome and it seemed like they put a lot of effort into all the decoration. Recommendation: go there between 4:30-6:30 to see it during day time as well as when it’s dark!
Really nice place to relax. Bc residents can get 1 year pass for the price of 1 day ticket ( exciting offer). Moreover, chicken burger from logger’s grill is a must try!
It's a must to go see the Christmas light display at the Capilano Suspension Bridge! In must have been an incredible amount of work to get the entire forest covered in lights like that! Kid friendly, fun, interactive, beautiful! Can't recommend enough.
Visited on Jan 01 2022, the view was fabulous with the layer of snow everywhere.
Amazing park, love the canyon lights event, when I visited last week they were already working on putting the lights up for this year! Expensive tickets but worth every cent of it. If you’re a BC resident don’t forget to get your year pass card on your way out
April 2019 was a magical experience. The bridge wasn't too crowded and everyone was just so dang nice! Good amount of history to learn about the Natives and the land. Do not pass that up. The brideges in the trees were super fun for my then 9 yr old. Cannot wait to go back ????
Was terrified but had a great time. The bridge is sturdy but bounces and sways, as someone who is scared of heights it definitely challenged me. Thanks Capilano suspension bridge for getting me out of my comfort zone.
Weekend
It's nice, but too easy and small. Kids play. And very pricey
The suspension bridge and surrounding area was beautiful. It is out of the way to get to, but There’s a free shuttle bus from DT to take you there and back. The site has a lot of activities for younger children to enjoy (from bird education, tree too trekking and others) and may be great for families. Without doing any of the activities, just walking through the area was about an hour.
Omg it was so much fun!!!!!!!!!! My fiancé, kids and me bad a blast absolutely loved the whole thing. There was a bunch of cool facts about the ecosystem, trees, other plant and wildlife posted around the trails for you check out. Along with such a cool trail system through the trees and ground on the far side of the bridge. We also did the "cliffwalk" kids and fiancé loved it I was a bit freaked out but the view was worth it. Absolutely so happy we got the seasons pass vs a one day admission. Must visit for locals and tourists!!! Awesome "staycation" idea for this year.
Such a fun experience. We were rushed on time in Vancouver and wanted to get in some nature sightseeing, and this was a great place to do it. We took the free shuttle from downtown Vancouver and arrived on time. The actual bridge itself is fun to walk across (though it can get pretty crowded) but the cliff walk and tree walkways are definitely a must-see. Refreshments available at the cafe in the park. Decent coffee too. After the visit, you can either take the free shuttle back or take a local bus just outside the park gates to explore north Vancouver.
Really great for a date night with your handsome/beautiful significant other. There is hot chocolate and snacks. Bridge is a bit scary with everyone on it but if you go at night time its a less crowd
December is a perfect time of year to go. They had the lights up and the weather is cool so you are not sweating climbing stairs and such. They did such a great job decorating and of course the staff was very friendly. They are following the covid mask mandates and they have hand sani all over the place.
A great walk that isn't too difficult even if you're not in shape that offers a lot of education. However, it is VERY expensive to get into and to buy anything there. They try to fix that for locals by offering BC residents a year long pass into the park with the purchase of the initial ticket, which is something I appreciated.
Nice place with a fantastic scenary. A place where families can spend their whole day there :)
Best lights during Christmas near Vancouver. Best thing bc residents can get full year pass for just one visit
What a great place. So much more than just a suspension bridge. Can appreciate the time and effort to make all the beautiful trails and Skywalks. Incredible. The Owl and falcon were very cool to see. Had a great day there.
Our first time here, we were recommended to go by friends. We were in complete awe over the entire experience!! Came at the perfect time with the Lights! Although it was pouring rain we didn't care...spent hours amazed at the beautiful grounds, the quality of every structure and attention to detail. Came at 3pm which was perfect to see things w daylight and then as it got dark, the full experience of lights...it's completely amazing how much intricate work was put into the lights everywhere! Then after the unbelievable 'cliff walk' and beautiful trails you end at the Cliffhouse restaurant that looks like a fairy tale cabin with huge woodbuning fireplace...we warmed up and had a delicious dinner!! (Recommend eating here for sure!) Crossed the bridge again and got a hot mocha at the coffee shop for the ride home. So much fun! Well worth the money! We want to go again ❤️
Lots of fun exploring the rainforest. Come visit in the afternoon and stay still sunset to see the lights. Treetop bridges offer astounding views.
While pricey, you definitely get what you pay for. So much effort has been put into making this place feel magical. It's not only beautifully lit, but the landscapes provided gives you the unique BC forest experience. Somehow they have created an ambience that lightens everyone's spirits. With 3 separate beautifully lit walks (not including the bridge itself), education, and refreshments, the admission fee is worth it (plus includes an annual pass).
It’s fun. It’s kind of an amusement park in the wild forest. A bit pricy for the admission ticket. Worth a visit.
I love the suspension bridge, glass bottom bridge, tree top walk ways, and raptors ridge with birds of prey. The handlers are very knowledgeable. If you love being out in nature it's a great place to visit. It's a little pricey for an adult admission but if you're a BC resident you can get a annual pass included with some benefits. Make sure to go and check out the lights at Christmas time.
A nice trip, they’ve added a lot of other attractions and made it very family friendly with activities for kids. When it’s busy it can feel a bit hectic on the bridge and other areas. Try to come during off peak hours to not feel rushed for the experience. You do have to pay to get in but if you’re a BC resident then you get unlimited entries for the season.
Went to the lights event and it was mind blowing, it felt like a full on fantasy world with all the beautiful lighting.
I went during the light show at night snd it was absolutely stunning! I’ll come back to see in the day time next visit.
Went last night for the lights and it was superb! Beautifully decorated and well-organised.
Wonderful experience, Amazing ecosystem! The experience worth the price. Better to go during week day which is less crowded.
Ohhh heaven for nature lovers! Here you can enjoy a good family quality time with your friends, parents, kids, lovers! I loved this place, because you have so much to explore here! Suspension bridge which is kinda breathtaking part, then little bridge which are attached from one tree to another. It’s feel like you are a part of jungle, nature! They decorated this place with lights ???? wow which looks magnificent! There is a cliff bridge on the other side, and a very beautiful gift shop as well if you want to buy something for your friends and family.
While I'm sure the natural beauty of this bridge would have also received a 5-star rating, we went during the light-up spectacle event and were NOT disappointed. Walking on the bridge was quite an experience in and of itself, but the surrounding sights and activities made it even more memorable! I'll have to come back during the daytime as I'm sure that's a separate but equally exciting experience.
Such a fun place to visit! It's great for kids and offers so many amazing views! As of the end of July, masks were mandatory on the bridge and recommended in others areas throughout the attraction. BC residents, be sure to upgrade your pass to a yearly pass for free. You also get discounts in the gift shop and on food items. Young kids get in for free. Don't forget to bring your camera!
It is good for one time experience and I think everyone should go to see something different
Decided to visit Capilano Suspension Bridge Park after 17 years and totally impressed by the Canyon Lights. The lights fit beautifully in the natural setting of the park. Park staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend a visit to this place and enjoy the fresh air and a walk among the tall trees.
Yes
It's like a winter wonderland with the Canyon Lights! Free shuttle from downtown Vancouver is very convenient and it runs frequently. The park with the suspension bridge is a nice tourist attraction, however, the Canyon Lights display definitely makes it special during the holidays for tourists and locals alike.
Went here recently on a Tuesday to see their light display. Parking is limited, so I had to drive a few blocks down before I could find somewhere to park and then walked back. This place was packed, and that was on a weekday, so expect crowds, at least during the busy holiday The displays themselves are really cool to see - not quite as technically impressive as other displays I've seen (such as in Vancouver's Van Dusen), but they do well highlighting the park's natural beauty, such as how they light up the waterfalls. To walk through the various paths took me and my partner roughly 2 hours, and that was including the slow moving crossing of the bridge, the treetop walk, and the cliffside walk. All in all, a bit busy for my taste, but a cool place to see, particularly in winter with the lights. Would also be a cool spot to see when the weather is nice.
Nice time at the bridge and tree walk. A definite place to visit for a couple of hours. My only issue is that it is little bit expensive... it cost us 250 for our family of four + 2 seniors.
Really nice place to go. The bridge and cliff walk are really impressive. Unexpectedly, the gift shop was full of little treasures!
One of my fav Vancouver attractions. Must visit. BC residents can get annual pass for price of general ticket. Loved the cliffwalk Can easily make a picnic out of this. There is a souvenir shop and a restaurant inside. Does not feel too hot on a sunny day because of the shade from the beautiful cedars and douglas firs.
One of the best places to experience the beauty of nature & breathe some purest oxygen on the planet. Must visit place !
Canyon Lights was awesome! I think going there in the later afternoon is the way to go.
Great experience! When I went they really over sold tickets so we had to find street parking and park 15 minutes away. The line ups for food and hog chocolate were also outrageous but that was due to over selling tickets. If you have an 8pm or later slot I suggest get there about 20 minutes early to find parking and don't go through it too slow. I was unable to do the sky walk attraction because everything was closed at 10pm.
Wait time
Had a really great time, the lights are beautiful. It's well maintained, some good trails. I will say NOT a place to bring someone in a wheelchair, as nothing is handicapped accessible. I had a lovely time and will definitely be going back
We went there to witness the Canyon Lights and they were breath taking! A must visit place!
Me and my husban visited the park in October 2021. At first I was a bit skeptical about the ticket price which is ~50 CAD. But after entering the park I totally think it was worth it. I had never seen a rain forest before, and it was misty and magical with the rain. The suspension bridge is a charm. I really appreciate the hard work behind maintenance and decoration of the park.
Fantastic park and conservation centre. We went later on a Sunday and it made for a much better experience than some of the other photos where the place looked packed. So beautiful to experience what nature has to offer, the suspension bridge and cliff walk were truly one of a kind experiences with breathtaking views of the mountains and forest. It was awesome to see they took conservation and education seriously as well. Plus, if you visit and you're a BC resident, you can apply for a pass to visit an unlimited number of times FREE for a year. Will definitely go back!
Was an intetesting experience, scary as *uck, and breath taking. I loved it, but not sure I will be going back soon
Awesome experience a must visit during canyon lights are on ..it's was mesmerizing
I went in January during the light show. They did a great job! If you want to avoid crowds don't go on weekends. It's worth visiting.
Really beautiful area to enjoy a walk through old growth forest, the bridge and river are nice and once you cross over it, the woods beyond are well worth the visit.
Great place for the family. We all loved the experience. Getting there early is recommended as it got really busy around lunch.
First suspension bridge experience and I did not regret it at all. It was both scary and exciting at the same time! The walk through the area is pretty quick so definitely take your time. There’s some cool huts that have souvenirs and food/drinks in the area as well. No complaints.
Great place, specially during December season with the lights
Such a cool experience have been a couple times. Very overpriced. Even once you’ve spent like $60 on a ticket it will still cost you $15 to get the most basic of lunches. But the place is absolutely beautiful and such a cool place to go explore. Parking is easy to navigate too!
It's been many years since I first visited this place. I hate heights but I managed to make it across the bridge. Plus the treetop canopy walks, outlook area and paths made for a nice day to spend a couple of hours at. I'm happy we went early as by the time we left, it was busy and you want to respect the social distancing. However, all the visitors were great and I had fun. We also came across two ladies that gave a little talk about the birds that they had with them. It was so neat to see them up close. Bonus is that if you take your ticket to guest services, you can get a one year pass to use for the next time as far as discounts and such.
With three thrilling walk , the Cliffwalk, the Suspension Bridge, and the Tree top walk, your visit and effort to come more than triple the worth. This is a place ideal for families with children to enjoy nature and the awesome creations of man
No wait
Most fresh air we’ve had since the whole pandemic started. We went during the week (Thursday) and it was popular, wouldn’t hazard a guess what the weekend days would be like. Mask protocol in place but there is only so much the staff can police people that forget or refuse. Apart from that, it’s a pleasant 2 hour night walk with some interesting lighting displays.
An amazing adventure! A great place to visit. You can take an entire path through small suspension bridges connecting beautiful trees. There are some other parts in this park, including hiking routes. There are buses from Canada place in downtown that take you to here for free. On the way, they pass stanley park and lion's gate. You can also return from Capilano to downtown with these free buses.
Weekday
The park layout is well thought out. Tree tops walk and the trails were in the woods. Light shows during Christmas made it magical. Admission is on the high side but worth it.
Great views, beautiful walk, informative. Overall it was a great day. I enjoyed it immensely. Do not recommend if you are afraid of heights. The bridge sways a lot when there are many people on it.
Great park, go early in the morning helps to be less crowded. I will love to see all the activities they normally have, but I guess because covid, they remove some of them.
Awesome. Kind of crowded for an event under restrictions. People were carefully observing masking and sanitizing.
Wonderful experience.. Well planned and maintained. We had a great time! There are several bridges, don't give up on any of them! Loved the top trees round
highly recommend. be sure to stretch your legs before going as it can be a bit of a workout. there is a free shuttle that takes you from Canada place (where we got on) to the bridge and back. will take 2 hours to go thru the the whole park. BC residents can get a free pass for the whole year of they pay for the admission fee.
So much silly fun, the lights were lovely. Always a nice time.
Beautiful and fun place to visit. The bridge was scary but if you moved fast then you were across in 75 seconds (yes I tested it). The grounds are well maintained and the whole park takes a few hours to go through and enjoy. We had a fun time!
Amazing views. I can see why is Vancouver #1 destination. Best time to go is at 3pm for lights and pics.
Wonderful lighting natural park, with a nice and breath taking suspended bridge. I highly recommmend you to visit this inheritage.
Parking at the parking lot is about six dollars. We went an hour before closing and hardly any people, did have to cut treetop walk short and not do a complete loop but will be back when all the lights are up. B.C. residents can get an annual price for the price of the ticket.
The winter lights were stunning!!! I had bought tickets in advance and was subsequently dreading going because the forecast was freezing cold weather. So so glad I bundled up and came. The bridge itself is gorgeous at night time but the rest of the park is something else! I loved the tree walk high above the ground. The lights were extraordinary. Even with lots of people on a sold out night, the park felt large enough to accommodate everyone outside distanced safely. The hot chocolate is a must try. Great family friendly activity
Beautiful, breathtaking, clean. Definitely a must if you are a tourist and visiting Vancouver. We were there for 3 hours exploring and it definitely did not feel like we were there that long. Only thing I could complain about is the price of admission (around $53) but then again it's totally worth it.
This was a ton of fun. Great walk through the rainforest with ponds, educational stations and lots to keep kids engaged. They had a large hawk at the raptor place which was a thrilling surprise. The bridge and treetop walk and cliff walk are very cool, high and excitingly exposed (totally safe though). There's food and beverage (incl. beer and wine) on site. It seemed expensive until I understood just how much was there... it's good value for the price.
Visited for the Canyon Lights Christmas experience December 10th at 6pm. What a magical experience! This my third visit to Capilano Suspension Bridge and I've enjoyed my previous visits thoroughly, but the Christmas lights add a whole new dimension to the experience. I highly recommend a visit while the lights are still shining and if you're a local and you don't mind the wait when leaving the park you can turn your ticket into an annual pass.
