$7 to enter the chapel, $10 for the grand tour. Since the chapel is not in congregation. The proceeds help in protection and repairs.

Enjoyed the one hour tour. Very capeable young lady was able to condense 300 years of history during her 45 minute talk. Also heard a few words from the current Rector. Really informative.

Jesse McMann

Great Pokemon Go area.

Wonderful to visit the 4th oldest building in Canada. A little sad to see it clad in plastic ie: vinyl siding and roof tiles.

This chapel, the first protestant church in Ontario was built by the crown for Mohawks of the six nations Iraquois who settled here in 1784. The Queen also visited here in 1984. You can attend service here 3 times a year. Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Follow on Facebook for more info.

It is a small space with significant history pertaining to six nations people. It illustrates the colonial influence and religious impact of British governance. The stained windows should be experienced as a mere picture will do no justice to its meaning. If you appreciate history it will be a good place to visit. There is also a connection to the Mohawk Residential school..which is located nearby...

Could not get close as there is temporary fencing all around the church grounds. Great history here. Joseph Brant who was instrumental in assisting the British in The War of 1812 is interred here.

A fine example of local history and interesting colonial architecture. It's very small church but the stained glass windows are exquisite. Nice place to take a walk, with a path weaving around the church, the small park surrounding it and amongst the graves in the churchyard. However the fee they were asking for a "tour" was a little pricey.

Robert Vasiliauskas

A must visit piece of canadian history

David Wolder

I was looking forward to this visit. Mohawk Chapel is apparently one of 3 Royal Chapels in Canada and the first church built in what is now Ontario. It has a fascinating history, so check out the website. I would have loved to see more of the church, but unfortunately it is being renovated. If you plan on attending at the time of this review, you can only look at the church from a distance, which means not walking the grounds, inside of the church, or seeing the grave of Joseph Brant up close. You can see it from a distance.
