You must have seen that its rating is nearly the highest, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the evaluation is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction is included in the category of Tourist attraction.
I took a few of my residents/seniors here for an outing and they loved it. It's very accessible and accommodating and there was a lot to see and experience.
Lots of antique dress and house wares of 16 th century and beyond. Indeginous people historic beautify preserved. Eskimo tent inside senerio setup is expressive. Lots of kids activities organized occasionally
I was overwhelmed by such rich history. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Joan.
We enjoyed our Saturday going to the Art Gallery, nice place to go with the family
I loved this. I had no idea there was such a gem in Brampton. Definitely a really great place to both adults and kids, as there are a lot of. activities and spaces dedicated to them. It's also very educational and promotes togetherness and diversity. For adults, there's the art gallery and a room where you can look up old records related to the city. I would definitely come again.
Located in an old jail house and courtroom. Lots of Brampton history with various exhibits including a section to learn the history of the Natives in Brampton and how the city developed into what it is today. There is also a play area and classrooms for kids.
We celebrated our wedding here with an amazing photo shoot. The staff were amazing and gracious through the entire process. We were in no way rushed and got to have an amazing experience with Beautiful photos by Photography By Elvira. We couldn't have asked for a better day or a better group of people to work with! The history in this building is Mind-blowing and the architecture is simple and classic. So great, not to mention has an incredible Gallery and community hub attached. Definitely a light in Brampton and great use of this wonderful Landmark.
What a great little gem here in Brampton... Took the kids and they actually had a great time as well... well worth the visit...
A good destination for learning about local history, culture and art.
Excellent place to learn things about Peel in the tunnel some real great photos
I love that there is a museum, an art gallery and an archives. It's the total package and it tells a great story of the Region on Peel.
Very nice place, friendly staff, a very touching immigration exhibit!
Nice cozy gallery. Glad they have a kids zone for entertainment
Great local Artist Paintings Display and you can view one of the cells from the old jail which was preserved from the original.
A local resource that's often forgotten about by the people in Brampton! Top notch displays and no problem getting questions answered by the guides. Photography, the old jail - go check it out.
It's free and it's in Brampton. Easy to get to via transit and plenty of interesting exhibits. If you're going on a weekend walk it's definitely worth a visit!
Very cool place full of interesting history and beautiful art. I learned a lot and, upon leaving, was greeted by a beautiful skating rink (perhaps seasonal fir the holidays?). Great experience - would definitely recommend!
What a pleasant surprise! We just happened to be in the neighborhood and thought we'd check it out. For a modest county museum, it had some interesting exhibits that even had our kids excited. The museum guides really added to our experience. Our guide, Colin, had a lot of interesting things to show us, along with the facts to bring history to life for us. Highlights included the jail cells and the court house. Our kids enjoyed the interactive and fun play areas. Our thanks for a memorable experience. NOTE: the art gallery was closed for renovations, so we didn't get to take in the art collection - yet!
Tasteful. Grand. Relaxing. Thoughtful. Beautiful.
Was a great venue for a celebration of life...staff was polite and very helpful...but not a lot of parking...only 10 spots
Had a great time here. Learned about local history and saw some really great art. And the price is great compared to a lot of other museums and galleries
Surprisingly great place for toddlers to play! AdmisdAdmis reasonable and children under 5 are free.
We went for a random nightcap and ended up having a blast. The staff is very knowledgeable and the facility is extremely well kept. We ended up staying for 3 hours and have been back a few more times since our visit. I would definitely recommend going to the gallery if you're looking for a good activity for a group of people or just a casual time out. The exhibits have also been frequently updated!
Very nice quaint representation for a museum in Brampton. Informative guides and well organized and laid out although not much choice over 3 buildings. Jail is my favourite part. And the court room. Rotating exhibits. Lots to do and see. Archives are another gem. Nice to get a little nostalgic about how Region of Peel used to be.
A fair experience for any family. The art was amazing! The staff were super friendly and helpful to every cause.
I always enjoy my time there with the kids. The prices are perfect and activities are fun and easy for you to get into as an adult with the kids. The Art activity was creating your own quilt patch. They were codes/directions for slaves using the underground railroad- we all made our own and coloured them. We went for the black history month exhibit, the photo gallery was really amazing and the stories with the photos were moving. We visited on Saturday, had we gone on Sunday we would have been able to gain free entry, free refreshments and enjoyed guest speakers...my girlfriend got the days confused, nonetheless it was a day well spent.
Another great Pama Halloween night, can hardly wait for next year's
The tour of the building was great. Seeing the old court house and all the rest of the museum up close was awesome. The staff is very knowledgeable.
Wonderful, you can take ur children here and let them know the history through art, the most interesting thing is this place used to be a prison and there still has 3 rooms and each room has a difference story ^^ it is very nice place
Heritage prison building and court house, now Peel Arts Museum and Archives (PAMA) is an amazing facility. Enjoy this facility, surrounding beautiful homes, Gage Park and Brampton City Hall, all within a walking distance.
Learn more about peel, the cultures, the origins. A good place to be at
Very extensive collection of art with an excellent facility to show it off. Very impressed with the gallery!
Lovely place. Small but very well maintained. I was not aware of Peel having a County Jail back in the day. Had a chance to take a tour of the space - museum and it was very imformative!! Every Brampton should expose themselves to this experience ????
It's very nice inside... which they advertise it more...
Absolutely loved our guided tour, very informative!! Thank you!!!!
Wasn't there to see the gallery but a murder mystery, Live History,Catherine's Creed. Very well written and performed. Would recommend any of their shows.
The kids birthday parties are amazing! We had a paint night theme party and Jo was our instructor, she was awesome with the kids and every single one of them had a great time. The PAMA staff were all very helpful. Thank you for making our daughters birthday very a very memorable one
I like this place Very interesting Very good for all ages
The experience was awesome, however, I found that many of the activities were geared towards families with younger children.
Beautiful building. Programs vary. Family activities
Went to see the Inuit doll collection and ended up roaming around the entire place. A good way to spend an hour or 2 on a rainy day. There isn't alot of traditional paintings, but there are some historical facts of peel throughout. Ps the gift shop has great gift ideas for every budget.
Good exhibits and work for a small venue – it surpassed expectations. Very friendly staff. Definitely worth checking out.
Took some time to enjoy some art and history
i liked it because i got to see things that i probably wouldn't see in other places and even got to do water colour
Very interesting Black History exhibits. Great for the family.
One of the greatest hidden gems of Peel Region. Although the jail is really neat, there is actually very little of it to explore and see (3 cells total). I feel that this jailhouse is so small that it should have all been kept originally intact, and not mostly converted into archives and a very small museum on the second floor. That could have been done in any building in Peel Region, why convert a timeless piece of Ontario's history into a mostly modern museum showcase? It would have been nice to see all of the inner jail inside in its entirety. Instead there is barely anything left inside for people to see. Also, the courthouse is not regularly open to the public. I was lucky enough to see it with a tour guide but I was informed it's not always open which is a shame since it is very beautiful and fits in with the jailhouse tour. The art gallery is nice but very small. At least it's all included in one admission price.
Nice art gallery. Lots to see and learn about the area.
Staff very kind and the museum is great!
Awesome place to go. See paintings & art. You won't be disappointed.
Bro I saw old do do like no one wants to see or do do why would you even put that in there bro like what star don't go to this place as soon as you walk in you see an old
This place was really cool. The people were nice and friendly so it was very easy to talk to them about the displays and their dedication to respecting history as well as showcasing it honestly is admirable. I had a lot of fun and loved the art here.
Beautiful art gallery housed in historic courthouse in the middle of Brampton. We got an informal tour and were really impressed. Will definitely be back.
AMAZING PLACE GREAT INFORMATION WHICH CAN INDEED SAVE THIS PLANET...I RECOMMEND ITS A MUST????✔
Always a pleasure visiting here with family .nice place to relax and meditate.
Visit was pleasant however I was expecting more from museum and art gallery. Limited number of items... very friendly for family with small children... Employees very polite and friendly...
A small but really interesting gem in Brampton. Spent a lot of time exploring and learned a lot. Admission fee really reasonable! Will definitely return when the exhibit changes. Welcoming to all and friendly guides.
A hidden gem - the first court house / jail in Brampton, art gallery attached, knitting classes once a week (all welcome!) And other tidbits - DEF worth checking out historical site
1st visit Great spot to visit during Doors Open. Brampton & Peel County related books and souvenirs available. Thought provoking exhibits.
Great time with our 4 year old. Had several crafts for her to do the day we went so she was thrilled. Will go back again to see the stuff we missed.
Nice place to visit, the parking spots are not enough. But can park in near street.
Great facility and staff for kids and school Trips! Had a wonderful time and educational as well
It was an amazing place. Small but interesting. We learned a lot. Definitely recommended
Good place to go with family and children. Staff is super friendly and very proactive. Would go there again
Small art gallery and museum. A great place for kids education. Great programming.
Small but loaded space with fun activities. Great staff as well
Great way to spend time indoors with kids.
Very interesting building with unique architecture. Lots of interesting exhibits for me and my family to view and make a day trip out of. Staff at the front desk were very helpful and approachable, as well as behind the scenes staff. The worst part of my visit to PAMA was the rudeness of one staff member who although did not interact with me and my family, was quite a negative presence in the facility towards other staff members and we found quite unprofessional. The woman, who i believe other staff called Simone(?), was condescending and rude to other staff members who seemed to be working on building maintenance will we were walking through the facility. Although this did not directly affect our visit to PAMA it was a bit awkward at the time and left a sour taste in our mouths in terms of atmosphere.
Such a lovely spot for a date. We had a great time at this cozy well maintained establishment XOXO
Past historic memories are in just like a good bank.
Spent much longer there than anticipated! Lots to see and talk about. Friendly staff who welcomed us, gave us quick info about the museum and gallery, and feedback when we were done.
Great family outing spot, lots to learn about brampton and peels history, very interactive and educational, art room was fun for the kids and seeing the old jail was exciting for them. I recommend this for everyone who lives in brampton.
Great for kids to learn and participate in art and an amazing black history and native history in brampton.
I was so impressed with this place. Beautiful fun and educational. A true gem in Brampton!
Excellent local gallery with some great and varied exhibits. Beautiful art, and informative exhibit on refugees.
We went during the Christmas/winter break to participate in one of their children's activities (clay rose) and we learned about a bit of history and made a craft too. Activity was included with admission. We spent about a couple hours exploring the place included the old jail from the late 1800s. There is also interactive areas specifically for kids to learn as well as explore and play.We will likely be going back for other activities throughout the year. For the price of a family membership, you can keep going all the time for activities.
Great place for Art and Events
Very educational and beautiful.
Went there for a business meeting, and after the meeting my team had a painting class there, it was so relaxing and fun!
It is a very nice and organised place, but I think it should be a little bigger and contain more things.
This place is always interesting with new exhibitions. A little gem in downtown Brampton, with lots to experience and enough for the kids to keep them engaged.
