REVIEWS OF Sager Conservation Area IN Belleville

Beautiful view from atop the lookout, but probably prettier in the fall. There’s really not much in the way of an actual trail/hike, and the lookout tower has metal grating (not great for dogs just an FYI). It was ok.

Christine Chomyn

Not for the weak of knees! An uphill walk on earthy steps through the trees. Definitely worth the view once you get there! A nice pinic shelter is in the trees at the bottom the other side of the parking lot. Doesn't look like there are other hiking trails but am going back to explore the path that went by the shelter.

Excellent spot to view fall colors. The hike to the Watch Tower is short but fabulous. Then there are a bunch of trails originating from there in different directions - each more scenic than the other. Over all, you'll certainly enjoy a good few hours getting some exercise and watch fall colors.

Nice place to go for a walk. The stairs provide a moderate challenge, and the trails are nearly kept when I was there. Lovely view too! Autumn is my favourite time to go.

Robert Reid

It's a nice spot with a few short trails. Good for walks with the whole family

Patricia Revita

Excellent place to see a beautiful view. The forest is my favorite kind - soft pine needles with few bugs. The only downside was the portable washroom was locked. Make sure to not miss out on the lookout tower. Take the right path to go up hill and the stairs downhill for a more relaxed walk.

My dog and I love hikes. This one was a nice steep incline up to the tower with lots of steps... Nature trails surrounding this main tower, quite a beautiful area. I may leave my pup at the bottom in the future. He managed to get up the grated steps to enjoy the view- I think it was a little spooky going down and strange on his paws lol... Nonetheless we did it! Proud of us. Great view here. There is a donation box at the bottom of the tower for the conservation area. Please take garbage with you. Cheers!

Not our first visit. Definitely not our last visit. Met a local man here today, who suggested another trail to return to the steps. Great trail, well marked. Beautiful area. The views are breathtaking.

Really nice to see the areas from the tower.

David Boyd

An enjoyable trek although not for anyone with a disability that they can't walk up several flights of stairs. The observation tower is great for viewing.

Absolutely stunning views, especially in the fall. The trails are also really beautiful. Trent Valley Conservation does an amazing job with the upkeep.????

The look out was too busy with bees to walk up to the top which was a bummer. Will have to try again in the cooler months.

Ana M

Beautiful place to climb up the lookout tower and admire the fall colors. The trail has steps and it takes about 5 minutes to get to the top in a slow pace. The tower is another 4 flights of stairs. Very nice :)

Good spot. Lots of poison ivy.

I love this every time I come here. There are a LOT of stairs to the top where the lookout is.... I'll be reminded by my legs of this fact for sure tomorrow????. The view is always stunning!

Connor Mac

Great little hike. Well maintained premises, convenient parking, picturesque views. The lookout loop is only a kilometre, so just be aware it’s a relatively short adventure.

Tim Annett

My gf and I really enjoyed this place

Juan-Carlos Ortiz

A great place to get a great view of the Trent River Valley. Hidden up in the hills but it is worth the walk up the stairs. Bring a bottle of water, you will need it.

marlene McMillan

Lots of tall trees..good walk up to the lookout..amazing view from the top...

Joel Quevillon

Beautiful area. The view from the tower is gorgeous, and it's only a 5-10min walk. Tower is only 3-4 stories high so should appeal to almost all ages. Total maybe 100 stairs, counting the path to get to the tower. Tower/view are great. Area is clean and beautiful. Just wish there was better trail signage.

JB Shep

Nice look out, short distance from the parking lot. Nice hiking trails around.

Stephanie Alex

Small hiking trail that leads to the outlook. Wish the outlook was a little bit more taller to get a better view but it was overall great.

Jennifer Lindsay

beautiful spot, but lots of stairs.

Ryan Clark

A lovely walk to do, with or without kids for some fine views and nice spot to picnic.

Mark Woods

Very scenic view of the Hastings Conservation region.

Lancelot Williams

Great views of the Quinte area!

Wonderful short hike with a great view! The lookout tower gives you great 360 panoramic views of the area. Important to note that there are many stairs when you first start the hike from the parking lot (approx 100).

James Scalf

This location has some nice walking trails. Strolling along them allows you to disconnect from the bustle of urban life for a brief period.

Brandon Arriola
