Very affordable, and you get to spend a fair amount of time with them. Dress accordingly though.
Such an amazing experience!
It was a great experience and the staff were wonderful and accommodating
Great experience, Amy and her staff are very knowledgeable and super nice. They have over 80 alpacas and they all are super cute and friendly. Definitely recommend:)
My girlfriend surprised me with a visit here for my birthday and I had a great experience!! I didn't know what I was getting into, but I learned a lot about alpacas. Emitt was my alpaca's name and he was a sweetheart. They really are cute animals; being up close to pet and walk them is a very enjoyable experience! The owner Amy made it all the better. She loves what she does and it shows! When she found out it was my birthday she was more than happy to share her own birthday treats with me :)
Amazing Alpacas, Amazing Fiber, Amazing Amy... check it out
Amazing and one of the most unique experiences. Highly recommend! I'm gonna miss the alpacas and the farm dogs especially Phil ❤️
Fun experience! The staff are knowledge and genuinely care about their animals - alpacas, guard dogs, and barn cats!
Great experience
Best experience ever! Alpacas is cute and chill, the owner and staff are so nice and friendly.Obviously will come back.
Great place to be up close to Alpacas. The staff are friendly and informative. Due to covid, the Alpaca trek is pretty much a private session to walk with the Alpacas. The owner is very nice and informative and knows the area. The price for the trek is more than fair. It allows you a walk on leash with an Alpaca as well as being able to be up close to pet. Didn't know there were different sound to Canadian born Alpacas and American born Alpacas. The walk is a bit short so take advantage of as many photos or Questions as possible for maximum value.
SUCH AN AMAZING PLACE!!! A must go and must revisit place! So glad that I found this place! The owner Amy, her husband and the staffs are so nice and friendly, and they’re very knowledgeable about alpacas. We were an hour late because of traffics but we still got to do what we wanted! Had more fun than I expected. Will come back to see those cute animals for sure! (ps:the dogs and the cat are so cute too!!)
Very educational and fun! Amy Kung-Oliver is the ultimate Alpaca owner and fan. We met the boys of the Alpaca family, their 2 fabulously friendly dogs, learned about Alpaca genetics, personalities and fibres and bought Alpaca wool socks and mitts! Already looking forward tour next visit :-)
Must visit to appreciate!
Amy and her team are always pleasant and helpful. Knowledgeable about their products too! Knitters paradise - and fans of warmth welcomed.
We visited Old Mill Alpacas and did the walking tour around the farm. The tour guide was so down to earth and was patient with the alpacas that we took with us! I learned so much given the one and a half hour that we had. It was a great way to spend a weekend and I would highly recommend anyone to consider visiting! Definitely coming back in the summer time! You will definitely see the passion and commitment that the staff and owner have.
We had a kids birthday party at the farm and it included a wonderful walk on the beautiful property and the chance to pet and feed these special alpacas. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and shared so much information about alpacas. The shop in the upstairs of the barn is amazing and we learned about felting and textiles. The hosts were so kind and generous. We definitely recommend booking a tour and a felting activity to feel transported!
AMAZING FARM AND AMAZING PEOPLE!! 86 alpacas at one time is just soooo incredibly wonderful. Amy has created such a great place for all the fur babies, with her full love and kindness. Everyone in the farm are super welcoming and friendly. And I can tell they do love their jobs. They also provide much educational information about alpaca. We will definitely be their regular visitors! If you are reading this review and looking for a good place to just spend some time with alpacas, trust me, OLD MILL is your best choice. You will NOT regret anything from this place.
Walked alpacas and had a tour. They are so cute and well behaved and fun to pet. The guides are very engaging. I especially enjoyed interacting with the alpaca named Miney Mo who I got to walk and all the female alpacas we got to feed. The farm is on a picturesque plot of land. There is a gift shop and a bathroom at the main farm. Parking is a bit limited. On the website they tell you to wear closed toed shoes, I would listen to this advice.
Very misleading information on the website. For $35 per person. The walk took maybe 10minutes. Walked male alpacas and dropped them off in a fenced area then saw and fed the females. Not very informative although staff was super friendly and seemed to enjoy their duties. After visiting the females and feeding them apples our group went back to take the males back to their location. Unfortunately we weren't informed prices went up Oct 1st and was hit with a large bill although we booked 3 weeks in advance. After basically telling them we were not paying the adjusted price we were granted the original price. Overall not worth the price so much improvements could be made to make this an amazing adventure.
Nice place to visit for children and adults. Great staff - they really like Chinese food and groceries.
What a pleasant experience with these gentle animals. You enter and is greeted by Amy who is an amazing host. She introduced us to two male Alpacas with two if her guides and gave us a full rundown on our trek. Not a long walk from where the females reside. We were able to interact with them; pet and even fed them apples. We will definitely go back during fall/winter when they're full! A great place and a must see!
Great spot and love the bee hives.
Amazing experience for city-folk and anyone really who want to get some fresh air and hang with some cool Alpacas. Amazing staff and an all around fantastic experience. We took the Combo tour and Alpaca walk which was tons of fun.
Great place for the family ????
It's very sad, I've been trying to get a reservation and I've called and was asked to send emails. I sent an email with no reply and several follow ups, I even called and was told to send another email. Not sure what's needed to get a reservation here but if it's sold out, it would be nice to get some feedback rather than email and call 3 weeks in a row and wait for a reply.
Great people and cute alpacas. Brought my girlfriend here and she really enjoyed it.
My family and I had the pleasure of visiting the Old Mill Alpaca farm... Amy hosted us warmly and her staff were polite and enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We got to see and interact with all the Alpacas and we even got to meet the babies— some of the most adorable creatures on the planet! The Alpacas are well cared for and you will also meet some other cool farm animals: the Great Pyrenees are gentle giants that protect the Alpacas and a very friendly barn cat likes to come around for pets and scratches. At the end of the tour, we visited the cozy little gift shop with truly unique and quality pieces (unlike other gift shops that sell tacky Made in China items). The products are made from the wool sheared from the Alpacas on the farm so you are truly supporting the farm and its employees. We got an aviator hat and mitts and booties for our baby! 10/10 experience and Amy and her staff have a big heart and even greater love for their family of Alpacas. P.S. Ask for Elijah, he is a joy to listen to— he is an Alpaca whisperer
Loved the spot and everyone that works there! Old mills is a must go on your eat to prince Edward county. A beautiful location. You can even walk the alpacas if you want.. they are all well managed and super easy to pet. Great place
We came to celebrate our anniversary and it was the best decision ever. Everyone in the farm are very welcoming! We met the owner, Amy, and her son, Franklin. They are just the nicest people, they are very informative and they care about our environment so much. We were the last people to trek the farm, so we had a longer conversation about Alpacas and we learnt so much. Thank you Amy and Franklin, we would love to visit you again :) We also loved Phil and Murphy's company!
We really enjoy spending time with the alpacas, but I wish the walk was longer.
What a wonderful place. So much to do and learn. Loved the tour and the chance to mingle with all the alpacas. It's a magical place you have Amy... loved it!
Spent some time with these beautiful animals yesterday! Took my sister and our kids and went on the Alpaca trek, we each had our own alpaca. They are very sweet animals. We met the owner and she went through the do’s and don’t when walking with the alpaca. We all enjoyed it.
The animals are cute and the dogs are so friendly
We had a fantastic family outing here. I would recommend it to anyone!
Great place or family and kids. So much info i never knew about alpacas. Also, its not too long of a tour so the kids wont get tired or hungry. The owner was super friendly .
Loved the folks who run the place! They love their alpacas and it shows! This place was fun!
Love this place, amazing friendly staff and great doggos! Highly recommend a detour for the visit
Last October,.we were able.to stop by while traveling and of my goodness, it was amazing. The kind staff were extremely flexible and really care about the animals. Adorable creatures, the trek was everything!
Great experience. Amy and her team were wonderful to hangout with. Definately going back!
Went with a group tour and was warmly welcomed by Amy the owner. The alpacas were so cute. The volunteers were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The farm dogs are gorgeous and I think the cat was in heaven sitting in his comfy nest.????We spent a pleasurable 2 hours meeting the many alpacas. Thank you Amy for sharing your little slice of heaven with us.
My partner and I came here as a day trip to get away from lockdown, and had the best farm / alpaca experience ever. Not only was the price more than fair, we had essentially private time to walk our own individual alpacas and get to play in the alpaca pen. The staff was very knowledgeable about alpacas, and Amy is just a delight to talk to. 5/5, would return in a heartbeat.
Price was little expensive based on the experience I had ! But overall it was fun.
Love the walking-alpacas experience! Their alpacas are very friendly and cute! If you are a fan of alpacas, this would be the place you have to visit! Make reservations before you come!
Thank you so much Anna & Emma for an awesome afternoon! We loved it and can’t wait to go back! Thank you for sharing fun facts and kindness!
Spectacular place with the cutest alpacas in the World!
The farm is quaint and the alpacas are very cute. We had come for the trek that was advertised to be about 30minutes. We arrived a little early and were okay to wait until our originally booked time, however, Amy and her staff offered to take us in earlier as they had a cancellation. The “trek” lasted less than 5 minutes, in which we walked a loop through to the females and back to the barn. The staff were great, however, for the price and what’s advertised, we were hoping for more as we drove 2.5hrs for the visit.
Had a fantastic experience. Highly recommend to visit
Very friendly staff
Very nicely run. Not open but aloud me to purchase from store. Did not realize we needed appointment to do a tour.
I visited the farm for my birthday for a trek and tour combo. Amy and her whole crew were absolutely amazing, warm and welcoming. Lots of learning and Alpaca love. Thank-you so much for making this a special day. We will be back!
Friendly and sweet alpacas
A must place to visit.
Great place especially for children to get to know about Alpacas
My husband and I took our baby to see the Alpacas and we had an amazing time. Amy was very nice to wait for us as we were running behind, and Elijah was an amazing tour guide.. taking his time to show us around. We purchased some Alpaca booties/mitts & hat for the baby from their store as well which we are very happy with. Would definitely return as the hospitality was amazing. Thank you again Amy & Elijah for hosting us.
Great time. A fun tour round an alpaca farm. They also have a little shop. One of the Alpacas can play a pretty good game of chess, and will play in return for food pellets or krugerrands.
Great place for kids
Had one of the best experiences walking my new furry friends. If you want a unique experience look no further. Super therapeutic, and alpacas are incredibly cute. Staff are super friendly and down to earth. You won't be disappointed coming here for a visit
Visited Old Mill Alpacas with our family today, and it was such a wonderful visit. The Alpacas are very sweet and friendly. Our little girl enjoyed seeing all of them, and the great big fluffy farm dogs. There's a shop on the farm that carries wool items, we picked up some warm insoles, excited to try them in our winter boots! If you're in the area, stop by, you won't be disappointed!
so many alpacas to see!!! well worth the 1.5hr trip. the owners and staff r all super nice!! we got to walk out own alpacas, visited 2 or 3 other areas with more alpacas, and got to feed and pet them! staff were friendly, offering to take photos or help direct the alpacas so u can feed/pet/take photos with them. bonus 4 dogs and we even saw a cat!!! we were the last group to leave at the end of the day so we even got to see them herd the alpacas back to the stable (?) for the night. when we left the owner even suggested some places we could go for dinner to avoid traffic on the way back. had a lovely time thank u! ????????
What a wonderful place to visit! Amy and her staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the alpacas. A great place to take the kids to see these exotic animals. You can even take one for a little walk!!
We had a great time visiting the farm and walking the alpacas (Presley and Count) with our young and generous guide! Amy and everyone were friendly and we could see they really cared about their animals wellbeing.
Awesome place friendly knowlegable staff great tours and products
Cool one time experience. Knowledgeable and friendly 12 year old volunteer guide. Would not revisit, as its pricy for a less than 30 minutes tour. Expected more after driving 2 hours to get there. Good communication via text with the owner, but did not get to meet her.
We got to walk around the farm and meet all the adorable alpacas. It was a great time!
Amy is one of a kind!!!! Her love and passion for her Alpacas is clear the minute you drive onto her farm. Each one has a name and is loved and cared for as much as the next. If you want a heart warming experinece you NEED to visit Old Mill Alpacas.
Great staff. Super knowledgeable. If you ever wanted to know anything about alpacas you'll find the answer here! Plus lots of beautiful handmade garments.
Amazing place. Very informative.
What a wonderful place to be ???? Adrianna was our guide, she was lovely and informative. I enjoyed every minute with the alpacas and had the honour of walking kizmet, a hungry but very sweet boy!
(Translated) Really nice and very interesting! (Original) Vraiment agréable et très intéressant !
We’ve been to the Old Mill Alpaca Farm last week. We had a wonderful time and Liam was a great guide. Amy is very friendly and shows great love for her wooly friends. We hope to visit the farm soon to see the newborn babies. Amy I wish you the best of luck with the farm.
