Went for a hike here. Super pretty. I’m not sure which trail I did, but I don’t think it was marked. Sorry, I went with friends who know the trails. It was gorg. Terrain was moderate with inclines and declines that were a little sketch with the ice. Kid wasn’t afraid, but was sliding around. Dog loved it. Great winter hike. Will go back.

40+ years Conservation Area with 12+ kms of trail. Hiking, cycling, no camping. Day use picnic area. This is not really a beginner mountain bike area. Avid riders will find very twisty, technical, wooded trail. Eye opening vistas and postcard photos will happen here. Quite a spiritual place.

Good place to hike and snowshoe...but less rating as paid parking ????

Trails a bit overgrown in September but fun place to go for a ride or hike.

A real disappointment. Not worth it this park has a lot of potential. They should take a look at what Quebec has done with petit train du nord and hiking trails in eastern townships so much better.

Vanessa King

Very beautiful scenery, although a bit muddy, so wear hiking boots, and enjoy!

Truly beautiful space; I feel blessed to have been there ???? We took a zig-zag trail up the mountain and came back across halfway through. Dappled sunlight through the canopy, trilliums (white AND red, a landscape with views that don't end, and a baby turtle as small as a Loonie! Mid-May gets pretty crazy with mosquitoes after about 3pm, so plan an earlier visit.

Mostly steep trails ... beautiful wooded hiking close to the heart of Prince Edward in Picton ward.

Trails need to be wider for families biking. The bird houses also need a Champion to update and refurbish as they are getting older. I wonder if there is a person in the building who could refinish while they are sitting at their post doing their time in the building.

Bit muddy after all the rain we had recently, but it was a nice place for a hike. Didn't stay as long as we planned as we had other places to be and were running behind schedule a bit, but spent some time hiking in the woods at the botton of the mountain.

David Rempel

A hidden gem in Picton. Amazing trails all year long.

Cassie Noble

Climbed a fairly steep trail up the "mountain" and it was awesome! Very cool winding trails, with an easier slow slope option as well, animal tracks, and I even saw a deer leap across the path ahead of me. Lots of interesting fungus and flora as well

The place consists of a birdhouse city with cute and very artistically sculptured birdhouses whocu depict a miniature city. The birdhouses are locater on big poles whoch are high about 12 ft ish. It makes a great place for insta pics.

love to go for walks back here.. very woodsy with steep winding trails . lots of fun.. they have biking trails so watch out for others on the paths

Valerie Spidle Davis

Very nice place to walk and visit. I feel it would be nice to see the bird house kept up and replaced when needed. Trails are well kept and good seats along the paths.

Josh Nahmias

Not much to see here, hike just leads to residential properties.

Mikaël Gravé

We loved birdhouse city: over 100 birdhouses of all shapes (Castle, Church, hospital, house, plane, ...). We did not do the conservation area trails because of poison ivy: we recommend to wear pants and good shoes. Not needed if you just walk around the birdhouses.

A lovely place just 5 minutes from Picton to visit. Features include a stream, small pond, short hiking trails, picnic tables, washrooms. Same location as Birdhouse City.

This is a tiny location to visit, but it has a great cafe with a view, and one or two nice old buildings to photograph. The cafe patio has a view overlooking the river below: quite a panorama...probably makes it worth a quick stop. There are a few historic plaques to read nearby.

Brennan Spafford

Beautiful MTB trails ranging in difficulty and a lot of fun to ride. However, the trails are not well marked at all and very difficult to navigate. As well as not that well maintained. There is a lot of potential here, just needs to be better marked and up kept.

Seemed nice...the trails were too icy to walk today

Nice for a hike. It could use some more markings and info on the trails, but still really nice. It has paid parking so it's not free, hence 4 stars.

Great place all year round for hiking or snow-shoeing. If you are mountain bike crazy there are some great routes to explore. never been crowded at this conservation area. But just an FYI - the hill is steep and we've seen more than one mountain bike left crushed at the side of the path - to date no bodies.

Awesome snowshoeing adventure. I was a bit worried as I have a very bad memory, but the trails were marked well. I went off trail in deeper snow and still found my way easily back to a marked trail. The terrain is very good for snowshoeing or hiking. I plan on some mt. biking in the summer as well.

Buyer beware! Electronic parking that wants your personal details (including credit card) No signs to be seen from the parking lot. Drove here with our bikes and no trail map to be seen. Waste of time and overgrown with poison ivy. Wow PEC is that all you've got?

Mathieu Chenard

Stephanie Bell

Hidden gem. My favorite season to visit here might be spring. Wear rubber boots and enjoy the mud and glowing green moss.

Sean Leung

Cool place for a hike and picnic if you’re in the PEC area. Can check out the nearby birdhouse city too! The beginning of the trail system is not super well marked (from the parking lot, the grass path leads to the main trails, the gravel path leads to a short side trail). However, once you’re on the main trails they are very easy to follow. The hike is not very strenuous and family friendly (there is an uphill at the beginning) and very pretty! But the trails are not super well maintained and can be flooded in the springtime.

Louis Cormier

Probably awesome in the summer. Quite muddy today. The birdhouses are awesome!

Quiet and pretty area with good walking trails and few people. Trails are well-marked once you're on but would benefit from at their start that are visible from parking lot.

Clean well kept - trails good however atv traffic has damaged some. Mountain bike trail flat however narrow, twisty and winding helped make it challenging...

Not well maintained at all. Could he really nice trails if they were kept up. Don't forget the big spray and be prepared for the electronic parking fee of $5.

Looks like an interesting hike, I didn't go on any of the trails though because it's very narrow and I didn't want to get ticks. Wear pants if you want to hike here and bring lots of bug spray in the summer. Also have to pay $5 for parking.

Fiona Sedgwick

This was such a beautiful place with several trails to hike. The main trail took us about an hour and a half to complete and it was fairly easy. You do have to watch out for a steep hill you need to go up at the beginning but after that, you’ll come across such beautiful forests. Parking is $5 paid online and when we went, there weren’t that many people. Perfect place to go on a peaceful hike.

We went snowshoeing at the conservation area after receiving some fresh snow yesterday. This is a beautiful walk thru the woods. There is a hill to climb with rewarding views from the top. We saw rabbit, squirrel, and deer tracks.
