It was a haven... some time ago. Since tourists and the likes come here on the daily, it is no longer feasible for someone who lives just 2 minutes down the road to park up and enjoy the beach like they did even 2 years ago. Very disappointing they had to implement a $15 parking fee to deter yuppies that would otherwise ruin the experience by leaving their garbage everywhere.

Rachel C.

Beautiful views and a smooth stone beach. You'll want to watch the wind before heading over because as a tiered bay it can get pretty chilly in the shoulder seasons.

Virehi Shah

A place from where you could see sunset from clif and you can go into the clear water for personal pool kinda thing. Just one word to say Beautiful ???? I would not suggest anyone to stay there after dusk because there are no street lights over there.

This is probably one of my favourite beaches in PEC. It is a pebble beach with a bluff on one side. It is absolutely stunning and the water is clear.

Gabriel Lawrence

Emilie Gauthier

It's a small rocky beach where you can walk and swim. There is a beautiful view with cliffs.

Maeva Dominguez

You think it's a conservation area with trails but it's nothing else than a private beach that cost 15$. The beach is really nice but it should be public and free for everyone. And the staff didn't tell you it's just a private beach.

The water is very clear and swimmable. I don't recommend swimming be near the cliff. There are spiders on the rocks and watersnakes in the water. It is a conservation area so there's some wildlife which are harmless. We even saw a fox! ❤️

Added parking meter which in my opinion is overpriced and does not offer much time flexibility. I foresee this leading to decreased enjoyment of families wanting to take a short walk down to the rocks and water and further abuse of the side road parking.

Beautiful calm rock beach with cool clear water. A great spot for an afternoon of lounging and swimming. One portapotty in the parking lot is all the facilities they have, so plan accordingly.

Fantastic place. A small trail to the Stoney beach. There was nobody on the beach. It’s such a relief from the busy world. Clear waters and nice little getaway for Kingston. Love this place.

A hidden gem. We were told above this place and decided to visit. Images do not prepare you for this beautiful oasis. The beach is tropical. Water is clear. Was not crowded when we visited which was a bonus. Trails over look the cliff. The watef from the cliffs are clear amd colorful. Worth the trip. Parking is 5 dollars buts last the whole day from dusk until dawn. 50 dollar option for the season.

It used to be a very quiet location but recently there have been more visitors with no common sense who leave their garbage everywhere. There are no washrooms or garbage bins so visitors must bring their garbage with them when they leave. It won't be beautiful much longer if these idiots keep showing up!!

Shannon Warr-Hunter

This was always my favorite secret beach whenever I would come back home to visit Picton. Water was cleaner (and colder). Tons of water snakes. (Harmless, don't hurt them!) On weekdays it was rare to share the beach with anyone. Let everyone else have the dunes. But over the past few years, as the city has invaded the county, the parking lot has been completely strewn with garbage. What's wrong with people? Take your effing garbage with you! How hard is that? There is a cool set of stone ruins on the shore on the west side of the conservation area. You can find the path going down through the forest.

Beautiful! Too hot today and a bit hard to walk because of the rocks. My go to beach because I go to swim, not to just hang... but if it's crowded it is very uncomfortable because it is a very short beach, no sand just pebbles, clear blue water and spectacular when not crowded. One of my favorite spots in Prince Edward County.

Skip this spot. Find a better place to spend your time and money. Snakes roam around the beach and the staff is of no help. They also don't know what they're talking about and are just there to collect the overpriced $15 parking fee. The "trails" also aren't anything close to what you'd expect. Just a short path in over grown grass.

Sam Landon

Not many people know about this place. So you could enjoy beach with your friends without worrying about crowds. The water is clear and pure. Sometimes there is a small snakes on the water. Although they don't bite you, you feel unsafe and uncomfortable.

Fairly small and modest conservation area but well rounded. I have been several times but recent updates show good intentions by Quinte Conservation Authority. Parking is rather limited but the recent updates to interpretive signage, trail surfaces, fencing and furniture are a great improvement. The vistas are still beautiful and the park was very clean, no waste or recycling bins were present so be prepared to pack out your waste. Improvements at the entrance point to automated gates being added in the future. I really wish the hiking trail went around the entirety of the lower bay.

Kristina Piotto

This beach was beautiful to drive to, however $15 for parking seemed a bit much and if you decide to visit I would highly recommend bringing bug repellent as my friend and I could not get away from the black flies. Even by the water they were attacking us - didn’t see any water snakes but overall was a nice spot to enjoy some sun and go for a swim! Warm lake too :)

George Heath

Guess not many people have heard of this place but it's a hidden gem maybe. Situated in Milford and far away from the maddening crowd this place is worth the drive. Though I have to say - you should be staying in the Kawarthas to access this place.Reason being the drive is shorter. It's a pebble beach unlike most of the sand ones. Not very big and the approach could put you off. Normally parking ìs paid and not free. The water is a bit cold but crystal clear and blue. Ideal for relaxing - take ur stuff and just stay put. Dont forget your food, drinks, snacks and water. It's part of Lake Ontario I believe but really secluded. Remember this location is remote so dont forget to fill fuel - dont look around for a timmies or Mackey. You wont find one close.
