Canada's first railway tunnel lives a new life with an ambitiously developed experience which features a dynamic light show which plays out along the walls of the 4-block long tunnel. The tunnel runs under City Hall and terminates in Brockville's Historic District alongside the St Lawrence River. This is a world class attraction and with further development on the drawing board, this find is worth a long drive to appreciate.

We visited Brockville for the Tall Ships Challenge and stumbled upon this historic site. Neat way to learn about Canada's first Railway Tunnel and how it was built pre confederation. Seeing as they used LED up lighting it would be great if they were to use projection on to the walls to show short clips of reenactments of the tunnel being built.

Oh. How could I travel between Ottawa and Toronto so many times over so many years and not know this place? I loved it. Yes "It's just a tunnel " in a straight line but it has so much personality. The music and the light show make it an exceptional venue to visit.

Have to say, wasn’t expecting to discover something so cool in the middle of town. With two festivals in town, we only noticed it due to the volume of people going through it. One thing to try, in the middle of the tunnel, give it a good clap.

This is definitely one of the coolest tunnels I've ever seen in my life. There's music and lights, and it's really awesome to chill here on a hot summer day. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Brockville (or just passing by)! There's plenty of parking nearby, and it's near the waterfront too so there's really no reason not to come if you're in the area. Plus, it's free!

A very old historical structure that has been rehabilitated for public walkthrough during daytime hours Has very modern dynamic LED lighting with sound effects. Fully wheelchair and scooter accessible. Parking is free at the north end. Plan for no more than one hour to visit. Admission is free. If you don't like possible water dripping on you then wear a hat.

Nice to see the restoration and well maintained nature of this historic tunnel. It's sad that this wasn't the case for the Merritton Tunnel in Thorold, Ontario. Check it out if you're in the area. Some amazing stone work that is worth the photo opp!

It's a beautiful little walk you can do with friends or family, lots to learn about the city as you walk through. I'm glad Brockville raised the moment to fix the tunnel. My grandmother used to tell me stories when she would walk through it as a child

This is a phenomenal place. Very interesting story, and a great walk. Be prepared to be attacked by some occasional drops of water, but nothing too harmful. It's an amazing place to go for a walking date. The lights are also mesmerizing throughout the whole tunnel.

Really neat experience ???? The restoration is impressive !! The walk through the tunnel is very relaxing. The lights and accompanying sound track are very well done. The tunnel is in a beautiful area. There are quaint shops nearby. A sweater is recommended as it can be cool underground.

For what it's worth, it was a fun experience. The tunnel has an interesting light show involving colour changes, pulses and waves. Water drips from the ceiling in areas, so be prepared. It's a tunnel, but it's a fun experience.
