You will see all the information of people who consumed the products and services of Batawa Ski Hill (Tourist Attraction) in the territory of Belleville (Canada).
As of day this business has a rating of 4.5 over 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can see its rating is virtually the best one, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the assessment is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction belongs to the category of Ski resort.
Pretty decent slopes
A good family ski hill. Not very big but very affordable. A good place to learn how to ski.
A little ski hill with big heart! Batawa is now licensed so check out their Apres Ski afternoons featuring local beverages from the Bay of Quinte Region and Prince Edward County.
I'm so excited to follow the growth of this little hill. It's not getting any taller, but they are improving the riding experience in spite of the challenges. Batawa Ski Hill is a great place to learn how to ski, no matter what age you are. Don't expect a Tremblant experience, but that doesn't mean you'll be disappointed!
Had a great time here. It's not a super busy hill and the staff here are very helpful and friendly. My son used the Bambi hill and had a great time. The chalet area is clean and has alcoholic beverages as well. I'll be coming back next winter.
It's not something I would travel hours to visit. But, for a local ski hill, it's great and I highly recommend it. Skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the offseason. ????????
Lived in the Belleville area my entire Life and was invited out by a friend/ never been out or realized how beautiful it was.Lovely.Needs to be renovated and expanded to support the number of people, especially the upstairs band lounge area was extremely tight. This is a diamond in the rough.
Excellent for its tiny size :)
Very fun beginner hill, lift ticket prices are maybe a bit high for the virtually 4 runs, but had a great experience teaching my girlfriend to ski, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The food is on par for any Ontario Ski hill, and the prices at the cafeteria are lower than any I've seen in recent years.
Best place to hold an event
Awesome new MTB trails. Great work!
It's a nice place to go to - though a little far. Staff seem to be very busy (even on a wednesday?!?!) Tried calling many times, told I was going to get a call back; after calling back numerous times, they never did. Went there the next day to try to book lessons and got it fortunately. Though, one should be able to book it in advance. Hills are a little small/short; but it is good for beginners. If your looking for longer hills, I'd suggest going else where. Though the price is right here @ 25$ for a lift ticket.
I run the trails in October and early November in preparation for the Fat Ass Trail Run. They have different distances to sign up for, and different trails to run on the property. Lovely spot with Lots of trails to explore. Plenty of parking. If you bring your dog and let them run off leash just know that this is a wooded area and there are ticks present.
Beautuful day. Great job done by staff. If you are renting equipment get there 30 min early
this place had lots of cool tourists
What a great idea! The whole family had fun at this park and a picnic too! We saved a couple babu racoon's that had been stuck in the garbage can too.
A great hill with an awesome atmosphere! Absolutly the best skiing/snowboarding in the area
Great staff, beautiful views, friendly town.
We only went to the dino dig area and the natural park but both were awesome ! Well maintained for sure !
Great place for kids.
its a great ski hill....not really
Great snack bar. My grandson is learning to ski instructors are very patient.
Loved the place, great for beginners
First time skiing. Great learning packages that include everything from rental to lift ticket. Simple variety of hills. Friendly staff and well maintained hill, faculties and rental equipment.
The caterers were GREAT and nice and lovely.
Friendly staff and cafeteria provides simple food
great place for skiing
We did go for the Dino Dig in summer. It's free and the kids (and the big kids too!) Had a very great time!
Fun little place. Went during the day clam and chill.
Great close spot.. Short runs but good spot to learn how to snow board or ski. Prices are decent for tickets and food and beverages which was nice to see. Will return again.
Great place to take the family skiing. Friendly staff. Very good facilities. Free parking. Trails for all skill levels.
Small hill but lots of fun
It's a really short ski hill but it's kind of nice it can get really busy on the weekend though so it is best to go go during the week so you you do not have to wait as long for the chairlif
Learned to ski here. When you've resorted to reviewing places you remember when you were six years old it's probably time to quit.
O wowwwwwzzzz ...... It was exciting and adventurous place
Small hill= Boring for experienced skiers + Bad snow making + Terrible Views. Overall this hill is not for skiers who have skied more than than five times. This kind of ski hill is made for young children or beginners. The café is a 3/5 and the location is a 2/5. I do not recommend this ski hill for intermediate and above skiers because your expectations for your kind of level will not be met here at Batawa.
Little hill, big heart.
Terrific experience for the whole family
Friendly, not crowded, but short trails
Great little hill. No lineups. Runs are short but steep.
This was so fun, while I was here I bought a bata shoe. Baaaaataaaaaaa
Great little hill. Perfect for learning, or spending a casual afternoon.
Went for a summer walk
Must plan for earlier start , to get 90 min. biking - 5 pm is already to dark for riding.
It's a very well run small hill. Great atmosphere.
Good times. Family fun.
Good fun and nearby.
I am giving 3 stars for the rude skiing school staff and difficulty to reach/slowest response time of the place over the phone. Everything else is very good though, I should add to be fair. Once you get there, the ski pass and renting staff as well as instructors are very nice, knowledgeable and ready to share info and give feedback. The cafeteria provides decent simple foods, coffee and friendly service. The chalet is clean and well-maintained.
Update! Feb 18th. Ski instructor taught my daughter how to stop! Rebecca was amazing. Caring, knows her stuff awesome with my daughter! Dear booking Deptartment. Today when I booked my private lesson at 11pm. When you say you will call me if you can get an earlier lesson, Please call. Don’t shame me in front of others saying it was moved to ten, AND NOT CALL TO LET ME KNOW. Also, please draw lines on the ground in front of your cash to help people follow the courtesy of following in a line. Two other people were served in-front of me while I was waiting to pay. Great staff, I love the multitude of activities and forward thinking of activities to supplement poor snow seasons! Ski instructor Katherine taught my son to ski! She likes large Tims Coffee Black. People like her who are passionate about their craft deserve extras!
Fast flowy MTB trails that ascend and descent the hill in ~1KM sections. Worth the drive as there are new trails actively being cut through the forest.
Their tagline says it all. We love this hill. Both my kids have learned to ski and snowboard at this hill (along with the many friends we’ve brought over the years). Highly recommend for new skiers and families. Lift tickets are decently priced, rentals are well maintained and staff are wonderful and super helpful!
The people are fantastic. It feels like a family run business everyone cares and everyone is very kind
Good ski club for beginners and experts..They have training classes..
Came here for a Christmas party so only reviewing the venue as a guest. It was beautiful and I underestimated a ski hill as a location to have a formal event. Beautifully decorated and staff were friendly.
We love Batawa! Great powder, great people and always great fun!!
A great family spot
Had a great time. Manufactured snow on the runs but that's expected for the time of year. Some fast and challenging conditions and nice turns on a few runs. The quaint little chalet offers warm food and hot drinks. Ski and snowboard rentals are available as well as wax and tune up services. I had minimal wait times for the lift and at the top of the hill. They also offer walking trails and dogs are allowed provided you keep them on a leash.
Awesome hill! Try the Bata Maples Syrup!
Great family spot and place to learn to ski.
Great little ski hill! Usually very family friendly and yummy chalet food! Decently priced, although it usually goes up every year. Night skiing/snowboard is awesome. Great view of Batawa at the top of Smokey/Old Smokey! Smaller than most ski hills but a great place to spend the day!
I love skiing i tripped on some kids skiing at nigthmis grate
Small hill but reasonably priced. Short lines at the lift. Rental facilities and a cafeteria.
Small place indeed( 8 ski runs), however it is a great place for family with little children to younger teens in all abilities. No matter first timers or experienced boarder or skier looking to practice their techniques or have fun in the terrain park, you have it all in this little hill. And the holiday camp experience is wonderful for my little girl. I would rate this the best family hill in south ontario for the fun and enjoying the season.
Perfect to get your legs warmed up and a pint on a hill. Great for beginners too.
Very good and we'll maintained hill very fun to use and very good food and very nice pepole
I just love this little hill ... 1hr and I'm there ... Already lots of snow
Went today to go snowshoeing for the first time. I had never been there before. They took the time explain the trails to me and then when I got back they stopped and asked if I had a good time. Nice nice people!
Good spot. Small, but well groomed with a cozy atmosphere. I liked it.
Great place for teaching the lil ones snow boarding.. cheap for rentals for kids deals
All things considered it's a pretty decent learner hill that isn't terribly priced. Definitely a good place to go for a tune up in preparation for a ski trip to a larger hill/mountain.
Great place to ski and kids love it.
Nice small hill, great staff and good value. Batawa offers a variety of activities and good rental offerings.
Great hill for the kids or beginners. Even more experienced skiers will have fun. The lessions were a little painful at first but the staff were excellent and made it fun and easy
Had a great geocaching experience here thanks.
Small hill, but a great family friendly atmosphere. All my interactions with the staff have been good.
Excellent ski resort, fun small enough to not feel crowded
Fantastic hill. Why wouldn't you take advantage of the winter here. Great staff too.
Came here during summer time. Nice and relax hiking trail to the hill.
Great trails.
The chef there is absolutely wonderful! Nicholas prepares terrific menus. The staff are always friendly courteous and helpful. It's a gem of a ski hill and chalet!
Great small family ski resort.
Great place, but some guy was skiing naked down the hill... Smh
Fun smaller size ski hill
This was a fun day out!
Small hill big heart encapsulated this place well
Nice place to ride a mtn bike or walking. Wide trails in the shade. Love it !
Don't take care of season pass holders
Very well marked and maintained MTB trails in the summer, great variety!
Awesome little hill to practice on!
Tiny ski hill, but a great little facility. Main slope is steep, very fast.
Night passes are great value for the money
Lives up to their slogan. Great family experience.
Very nice, well built machined trails. Makes climbing them very pleasant and descending very smooth, fast and flowy with a lot little jump and rolling features to keep it exciting. Definitely a must ride if you're in the area. Only criticism is it left me thirsty for more trails, hoping they keep building.
Nice little hill to enjoy the outside activities. Friday night the bar is open upstairs to enjoy some local brews and beautiful night skiing.
Hill is very small. Enjoyable a couple times in the season, but it is very limited.
Very nice mountain bike and hiking trails. Well signalled and mapped.
Small hill but short lines. Good value.
Excellent time at Pub Night! Thank you for having these events!
Nice little hill. One chair lift one T bar, magic carpet for bunny hill. Not too challenging, but good for beginners. Does have small terrain park. Nice club house, good poutine!
Great winter hills, lessons for kids and adults.
All. Year. Round. Gorgeous.
Fun place for some night skiing.
Really good mountain biking. No idea about skiing. A little more & better signage would be appreciated.. Nice place, deserves a visit from any serious MTB Rider.
Staff are great, clean facilities, and amazing hills with a great sense of community. Highly recommend.
Big renovation underway there going to be great
Great hill, awesome staff
i loved skiing here its so much fun
Great fun skiing for the whole family
Friendly people make this a great place.
Great place to practice technique.
Great ski hill. Friendly helpful staff. Great food.
Great little ski hill. All runs (except for one) currently open. Not long lines for chairlifts at all. Food can easily be ordered through their website and picked up conveniently at an outside window. Everything is really well organized and operating smoothly. Great way to spend an afternoon.
Great little hill! Has some small fun park features and a couple steep pitches that are big and fast enough to get a few good turns in.
Good for beginners, nice staff
Granddaughter going to the summer camp. She's enjoying it. Friendly staff with lots of activities for the kids. Way better than being on an I pad.
It was very fun and safe
Awesome place , right in the middle of the city
New Chef David was fantastic, I hope everyone coming to the hill this year tastes some of his new creations!! I am looking forward to the new menu offerings and the take out catering.. having a better selection of culinary delights will help bring in more events and acticities to the Hill... I would like to see theme nights in the kitchen and seasonal produce used wherever possible...the live band and great pub food are a match made in heaven! Chef David brings years of experience teaching culinary arts as well...I would like to see cooking classes and the local high school / college culinary program supply students for practical training and future employment... Batawa Ski Hill has a very bright future and I hope Chef David puts roots down and helps the community grow.
Class trip to Dino Dig was a blast!! The park was also very entertaining.
Nice little Hill, very good for young kids to learn
One of my favorite mtb locations
Love the trails out there.
Was here for a wedding, food was great
Very busy and long lines for the Bambi hill. Didn’t make it to the other hills to see how they are.
Such a great spot!
Ist time doing the hiking trails...loved it...I did intermediate level...good workout....watch out for the bikes though coming the other way
I go to Batawa ski hill to go trail running. The nice thing is they have different skill levels. This is nice because you can have a easy day or an advance day. Their is wildlife to see (deer, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, and little critters) I really enjoy it there.
Great to learn decent instructors. Some are junk but most of them I used are good.
Small hill but nice spot
Great place to go skiing if you live anywhere between Kingston and Toronto.
Went to Dino Dig. Great for kids. Don't forget small garden shovels.
Small hill but comfortable chalet
Great place for the whole family. Very affordable. Great food at a decent price. The pub nights with local brewerys and live music are great.
Small hill but the lift is quick and it's great to go to hangout with just a couple buddies. Total must for people learning
Small hill, big fun!
Small hill with one of the steepest slopes in ontario. Runs are fun and have some variety. Expanded terrain park this year and the addition of a small learner's terrain park. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you are in the quinte area it's worth spending a couple hours at Batawa Ski Hill.
Great starter hill and excellent race teams❣
Just an awesome place
they wouldn’t let me outside for lunch
Great hill and even better employees
Loved it. Small hill but great place to practice
Amazing family oriented place !! So good to the kids !!
Great staff and efficient lift system. Short runs but you can get many in on interesting tracks. Runs for every experience level.
The best trails
Great family skiing. Nice hills, the lift line moves quickly and a great snack bar.
Great for pond hockey in the winter!
Small but family friendly hill great to get out and have fun fun. Long time member
Kids were having a ski race. It was great to watch them. C
Great mountain biking! Trails are well groomed. There's nothing really technical. Lots of climbs though.
So far the trails have been nice but I have yet to fully explore them, lots of poison ivy on the sides of paths but avoidable.
Fun local hill. A tad pricey for what you get.
Great customer service! Lovely family snow hill
First time visit to Batawa and it was a great visit with my kids. The chalet is under going renovation but had everything we needed: cubbies and a change area, ample bathrooms, lots of seating where outside food is not frowned upon. The ski hill itself was well maintained and snow conditions were good for a warm day hovering near zero. The liftees were great with my son as he learning how to use a tow rope for the first time on the learners hill. Pricing was also quite reasonable to lift tickets and food and drinks. Will return.
Great little hill for families. Everyone is super friendly.
Very nice ski hill. Not that big but different slopes for different Abilities
Lovely atmosphere and food. Chef Nicholas always has a great menu and pub nights are terrific. Very welcoming
Awesome dinner they put on for a wedding
Kids and I have been going for 10 years . We always look forward to it
Not a fan of skiing. Was just passing through while searching for walking trails.
Hill is awesome but sometimes when it snows the hill should be groomed I came from NOVA SCOTIA the groomer is all working grooming the hill other than that it is great
We took our grandkids to the Dino Dig and they loved it, always finding different bones to dig up from the buried T-Rex.
They live by their moto "Small hill, big heart!"
Mtn biking superb!
Great little ski hill.
Good size hill with lots of different runs. Great for beginners and die hards just the same. Great powder.
Terrible theft prevention. Our skis were stolen yesterday in the 20min window that we went in the lodge and we were able to provide the manager with the exact place that we left them on the ski rack but he refused to check the camera and would not do anything more than say that it was the second time a theft occurred that day and he didn't want to set a precident of replacing stolen skis or even providing a season of free rentals. On another hand if you want free skis this is evidently a great place to go.
little ski hill, good for beginners and young families. We have 3 kids under six, and they love it here. There's 1 chairlift, 1 older T-bar, 1 bunny hill with a hang-on-and-it-pulls-you thingie. Unfortunately a 2 or 3 year old can't hang on by him/herself, but it's easy to go in two. A 4-year-old can go by him/herself. My only big complaint is the music. They have these speakers all outside the lodge and along the chairlift that blast ugly pop radio stations non-stop. It's awful. Don't they realize that people enjoy the mountain, the snow? If people want music, they can use earphones, and choose their own music. This makes them lose 2 starts for me. Price is right, a bit cheaper than other (bigger) hills in area.
Great place to learn. That it
Nice, dry trails for mountain biking Well maintained.
Well for a small hill, it was nice, but some of fat pretentious ladies of the night were rude and called me a racist names, so I might not bring my family back...
Great place for kids to learn bow to ski
Great local ski hill. The service is impeccable and the staff are very friendly. Their covid protocols make good sense and move people through the rental process efficiently. They have made many upgrades over the past few years.
Great staff great atmosphere
It's a small hill by ski standards, but service and pricing are exceptional. My wife took a one hour lesson with them and went from never having skied to being able to ski the main hill with us by the end of it!
We are from out of town and were visiting family for the weekend and decided to bring our mountain bikes. A big thanks to everybody who is maintaining the trails at the Batawa Ski hill! My son and I found that the moderate and black diamond runs were on the easy side and the double black diamond was on the crazy hard side (he wasn't amused with a double diamond but we still had a great time). Well definitely ride the trails again!
Great run with a friend
Hill is decent, instructors are great. Rental place is alright. Website is atrocious. Customer service at the lift ticket window is terrible. Restaurant screwed up the most basic of orders.
Hills are small but well maintained. Friendly registration.
Good slopes, well maintained, decent terrain park , close to Belleville , Trenton etc great food , alcohol service in the Chalet , friendly staff , decent rates , over all great way to spend a day or evening.
