REVIEWS OF Tyndale Park IN Barrie

Emily

Quieter beach than Centennial and has such a great park! I almost dont want to give it 5 stars so people dont come here. Haha

Sebastian

Great little beach area that most people forget is actually there. Nice lookouts. Decent sized beach. Ample parking.

Robert N

Love this beach...lots of shade and never too busy

Nice, secluded park. Highly recommended in the early mornings at it can get crowded later in the day. ????????

Milton Perez

Must beautiful place in Barrie

This is such an amazing park! We used to visit with my family every weekend. It was a bit of a drive but definitely worth it. Great place to swim and have a picnic. The lake is so beautiful and the view is so scenic. Theres also many places to just walk around. Great place overall!

Fel G

Nice family park with playgrounds, shelter, three sand volley ball courts, a small beach and some shelter. Not many parking space and it cos $10/hr for parking.

Johanna C

Nice park for the kids and beach area. Lots of big trees for shade and has a washroom. Not alot of parking since its not the main beach like centennial beach. But people come and go all the time so your likely get a spot if you wait.

matthew mowatt

Spacious nice beach

Haji Syed Hassan

Good place for small family gathering. Parking is expensive. $10/hour.

Humberto Domingues

Quiet, close to home. a lot of Duck Poop. :-)

KARAN SHAH

Small but good beach. Not kids friendly and parking charges are 10$ per hour. Very small parking are even if you wanted to pay.

Evgeny Rosen

Great park with new playground equipment , beach volleyball, small sandy beach .

Cesar Lopez

Great place to take the kids.., they absolutely love it.

Shaun Moon

An excellent place to go swim, picnic or even play on a zipline with the kids.

Behrooz Kashani

Very beautiful park

Shaniel Anderson

Very nice area, my kids love it!! The opportunity to play in the water and also the park is a win for this area.

Maryam Talaghi

Clean, a little small with limited parking. You can park in close streets without paying 20$ for parking. Lake is beautiful and clean.

Victoria Kim

Very nice area with the children playground, bbq area and beach, volleyball playground. $10 parking fee for visitors, the only drawback is the parking lot is quite small, so you have to make sure arrive early to get your spot.

Rihanna

Peacefull beach

Smoke One (Smoke)

Awesome park for kids and great beach area in the back! All around awesome spot.

Amanda MacDonald

Love this park, great area for a swim away from the main beach, has a park as well as a picnic table area.

Em Fo

Great park with lots of green space, but the parking lot size doesn't accommodate the size and amenities of the park/beach. Bylaw enforcement is frequent.

Hannah Fry

Always a great place to go! One of the beaches in barrie that is still not known about! Friendly people, park, city provided bbqs, bathrooms, great place to bring the family!

AD3K

The weekends are quite busy but the true beauty of this park shows itself in the mornings or weekdays. Very calm and scenic. The one draw back is the parking - you're better off not paying and risk getting a 30 dollar ticket than paying 10$ per hour.

Rajat Kural

Perfect place to take your kids. The play park seems well-maintained and has decent swings/slides. Has a beach too, which is awesome Although I do wish adults acted responsible and didn't consume alcohol in tumblers, like bruh it's pretty clear what you doing

Frank Scully

Well equipped, and recently updated, for the whole family!

Gordon Munro

Small beach nice but rocky bottom. Small parking, if not a resident, you will be tagged..

Kat Riccardi

Small beach with limited parking. Go early. Beach is on the decline so may be hard for people who may have difficulty walking.

Amanda Smith

Great playground, fantastic swimming area (shallow enough for young kids, clearly marked areas). Lots of shade if you like it, or sun if that’s what you prefer. Great volleyball courts. The only issue is that the parking lot spots are limited and not clearly marked. Hopefully the city can rectify that.

Armin Kamfiroozie

A great beach to spend your weekend in. BBQ or tent is not permitted sure to Covid 19, Parking lot is $10 per hour.

Deryk Piper

Nice airy location. The beach is nice but very rocky underfoot. The nearby park structure is great for the kids, especially the zipline! Could use more parking for busy weekends though, and be sure not to park on the grass - the city will ticket you even though part of the parking lot appears to extend to the grass.

Heather Halpin

Great beach, great park, parking can be a pain

Felisha Ali

Nice area with lots of space to play. I gave 3 stars because the facilities (washrooms) were really dirty.

Jennifer McAfee

We love Tyndale park. It has a beautiful view of Kempenfelt Bay and a brand new playground. My kids loved the new equipment.

Alla Tsipis

Came for a few hours, paid $30 parking and got fined for parking on the grass. There were no other parking left and a few more cars were already parked there. There is no sign or warning about parking on the grass. City of Barrie just taking advantage of people who want to spend time outside. It is ridiculous. I pay enough property taxes and it is not my fault my city doesn’t have a beach. Shame of you city of Barrie!!!

Michael Amdur

Great small park to do bbq or picnic with the whole family. Has a nice small beach and a playground. Perfect for kids. My only advice is to come before 12 as the park gets full pretty fast after that, so its hard to find parking and a picnic table.

Brennen Gray

Awesome park. Need to pay for parking unless you're a resident. Lots of equipment and stuff to do.

Jake Vanderkooy

By-law officer hangs around and makes most people feel uncomfortable. Also $10 per hour parking which is outrageous.

Rana Hassan Khurshid

Small neat and clean park, not super busy. Parking is quite expensive, 10$ per hour. I really like the beach, specially for families with small kids.

Xia Lin

Would recommend more trees around the area

Theresa Custodio

One of our favorite parks in Barrie. Greatsized park for all ages, beach volley ball courts and beach.

Star Viewer

Great water and nice park. Parking is a problem .

Vladimir Georgievsky

Great renovated park, nice playground, yet bad experience: We came to visit on July 1st and were the first two cars to show up. 1. The parking meter did not work, was dark and was not responding to anything, bylaw phone number on it was advising that it is a holiday, so we went to the beach and had some fun with the kids. We both got parking violation tickets 100$ each. We did send a dispute and I got a voicemail on Saturday that my case was investigated and the meter was found working. Whatever. 2. There were some grilles installed but locked with chains so we took our own small grille and right after getting some meat on it were told that we cannot use our own grille (??) on a dedicated grille area (??) and we will be ticketed… great! The area is there… but no - do not use it! Or you will be fined! Why would you want to use a grille in the grille area at a park on a holiday??! Whatever. Great job City Of Barrie. Whoever is responsible for managing this asset - you guys are terrible at it. I will definitely look for alternatives.

Jennifer Barton

Fun place since they changed the playground :) much more equipment to play on ! And of course the beach is convenient aswell being so close ???? you can play and tan all at the same time .

Shaun

Can be hard to park on a weekend. But it is a nice family park. Good beach but small.

jennifer Ortega

Nice park. Although the bathrooms are DISCUSTING to say the least. They should really change the toilets. I made me nauseous to have my kid sitting on one of those filty toilets seats. Everything in there was absolutely dirty.. But my kid really needed to use it so no choice.

Mark Gillanders

City residents can park for free here with parking pass and out of town visitors must pay. Nice views from some areas as well as good picnic spots. Unfortunately no BBQ'ing. The grassy area of this park is well above the water level unlike Minets point beach which is about a 5 minute drive from Tyndale.

usman ali Dar

nice place for family and bbq

Qi Zhang

Perfect for small kids, but nowhere to park for non permit holder or $10/hr.
