Now the firm receives a score of 4.6 stars out of 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is practically the best one, and it is founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can be quite sure that the assessment is quite accurate. If people have bothered to value when they are satisfied with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction corresponds to the category of Adventure sports center.
Overall a really great experience and something which you may wanna try again. Went on a field trip and there were pretty good instructors who guide you throughout. Lots of fun and very friendly people and helpful, it gives you the adrenaline rush that you badly need after spending months in the cubicle.
The courses and zip lines are challenging but fun. Easily we spend 3-4 hrs doing everything and it was a great way to spend time outdoors with friends and family. The staff is very friendly and approachable. I went with a few friends and we had a blast! Recommended 100%. Bring water bottle and snacks because it's a lot of exercise. They have washrooms in good conditions.
Challenging but doable for 13, 15 and 17 and even parents (mostly). Fun time, good equipment and knowledgeable, friendly staff.
This experience was worth every penny! Couple of tips for people considering coming here: the lockers are waaay too small so leave valuables locked in car. Bring gloves, weight training gloves worked well for me but it definitely saved my palms and fingers. Managed to get through all 5 courses and I have to say, they are way harder than they look. Took us 3 hours to get through all 5. Can’t say enough nice things about the guides/staff. They are beyond friendly and helpful. One even helped me find my GoPro that fell off while up on the trees. Overall amazing experience. Bring water, gloves, and bug spray. Leave valuables in car.
Had a fantastic experience here. Staff was polite and helpful. Definitely would recommend. All Covid safety protocols were followed and staff always watching ensuring safety of everyone while they going through the obstacles. ????
Worst experience ever very rude and racist
Danni (I hope that's her name?) was a great instructor, informative & helpful. Great Tree Trekking course of Green, Blue, Red, Purple (most fun) & Black difficulty levels, from 1pm to 4:30pm for me was more than enough time to cover orientation & go through all the levels of difficulty & hit the purple level (7 ziplines) 2x... ???????? So much fun! Thanks for the experience! ????
This was a fun course, not as busy as some of the others, but not as many runs as well. They have a zipline only run that is quite a bit of fun, but is not available to Junior climbers.
let you wait and kick you out when at 3 hours limited even didn’t mention it in advance
Worst staff
Variety of courses, friendly and helpful staff, awesome workout
So good that we went twice. Remarkable experience. Craving for more.
What a great way to spend time with your kids. My little girl is 6 and she had fun also.
Fun! Definitely an experience to try at least once though the long wait times and lack of any real guidance/direction once you’re really underway may put some people off.
Always a great day at TTT! Been 3 times and love it. Adrenaline pumping fun.
Absolutely great, lots of fun and a good challenge
I really enjoyed it but I think my friends enjoyed the experience more. Me being really unathethic or physically fit was able to complete the beginner and one of the intermediate courses. They are very strict on letting people attempt the black or purple advanced courses unless you finish the blue or red intermediate courses. Which is good because it shows if your comfortable with the more intense courses in purple and black and once you start you cant get off the course until you complete it. Regardless I think its a good experience to try if you aren't afraid of heights. I suggest you also bring a pair of gloves suitable for gripping on to the rope. Most of us ended up with red and sore palms.
We came here 2 years ago for my friend's bachelor party. Can you image how hard-core we were to challenge our bride-to-be here??? She was strong and fit and completed all the courses. Highly recommended for energetic people at any age!
My thirteen year old son and I managed to get a booking early in the summer season (late June) and just before what I imagine the large rush period would be. Even though it was raining the morning of our adventure, we had a blast. Likely due to the great management, staff and the layout of the courses. The orientation was slick, quick and effective, and the guides and staff were friendly and fun. I like the progression through the levels, by colour, and the way that the staff guides attended to each person's ability and skill; careful to advise on tricky spots as well as looking out for those perhaps "biting off more than they can chew" on some of the more advanced courses. (A parent is always impressed with that sort of attention to personal safety) In all, it was a fun-filled day that I not only look forward to doing again (a great full-body work-out), but it was such a great experience, I'm considering getting an annual pass next year for the various locations through Ontario.
I enjoyed the experience here. It's a beautiful venue, overall. 4 distinct courses for adults, varying in difficulty. And a really fun experience if you go with good company. The ziplines are part of the courses here, so keep in mind that's not a separate activity. The only things I thought could be improved further are: 1. the price (i did similar activities in Europe and they're definitely much cheaper) 2. The regular (adult) courses are also designed to accommodate kids and so I felt she aspects of the design was hindering to both groups. 3. More garbage and recycling bins on sure would definitely help. There's a real issue of plastic bottle littering going on. But overall I liked the experience, and would recommend. I would also strongly encourage bringing gloves.
Absolutely LOVED the kids discovery course for our 5- and 8-year-olds. Luckily they aren't currently booking many families at once, as my 5-year-old was a bit slower and that can hold up kids behind her. It was all manageable but also challenging for both kids. The 5-year-old was able to complete 4 rounds, the 8-year-old did 8 rounds. My only complaint is the shared helmets. Wish there was a disposable insert/hairnet or something to prevent transfer of germs? Note there is a bit of a walk from the Horseshoe Valley parking lot up to the Treetop Trekking start, so allow time before your start time to get there.
Lots of fun, great time for people of all ages as long as you're ready to face your fear of heights. Orientation helpful, friendly staff, courses were just the right length.
A solid treetop and zipline experience that has the advantage of being near the rest of the resort's amenities. Downside is that there are quite a few introductory courses you are required to complete before doing the main events (purple and black), and even the purple was not particularly picturesque. Given that, I might conservatively suggest trying another location first!
Good experience
A completely awesome activity, Treetop Trekking is an adventure worth pursuing. You'll need a bit of arm strength, some courage, and good shoes; but the payoff is worth it. Set in Ontario's near North the scenic drive to get there sets the stage. Navigating safely constructed courses under a green and leafy canopy makes for some good sweat and even better memories.
Went on a field trip with my son's class here and they did a great job at showing the kids what to do and made sure they understood. We had a great time. I can't wait to go back with mg family. This is actually my second time treetop trekking. It's super fun and can be challenging at time, just what I like! Definitely recommend trying it at least once.
Looks good but don't really know what is offered yet because I am up bright and early exploring before the open.
We were a little disappointed by how easy the discovery course was for the kids. The 6 year olds in our group ran it without pause. We've been to a couple others for the same age group and they were far more challenging. That said, the setting was beautiful, the staff are super and the kids made the best of it despite wishing instead that they were on the bigger course. Wouldn't recommend the discovery course for much more than 5 years old. Really wish they had something more suited for 6-9 ( at 9 they can do the big course if they are tall enough, but many 9 year olds aren't).
High in demand place. Love every minute of it.
Such a wonderful time.
Awesome place!
Fun place to spend some hours here during the summer! The staff are well trained and ensure safety is always the number one priority! The only thing is, it’s far from the parking lot, so be prepared to arrive about 10 min early to walk there.
I've been here like 15 times and it gets better every time I come!!!
Real great place to ski with friends but not the best place for advance skiing and snowboarding but good glades
Lots of fun! Great workout! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend going again.
Loved it!! The staff were nice, the courses were fun!! I'd certainly do it again any day
Great experience for both adults and kids. Wonderful time. Do it again forsure
Was a great and challenging activity. Great for groups.
Friendly staff, great courses would definitely recommend to anyone. Suggestions: bring water, snacks and gloves (if intending on doing all courses, especially the black)
Fun times. Staff are friendly and helpful. Well laid out with central hub area. 4 courses, zip line course and kids course in a beautiful forest setting. AND they're open during lockdown!!
A variety trekking experience in Barrie! Love to visit and add this to your bucket list
Loved it
Really awesome experience! We have all our employees booked for a trip in August.
Unfortunately there was thunder and lightning, and got cancelled. Staff was great, looked like a fun time, and was given refunds, and VIP tickets. Will look to try again in the future.
Amazing kid experience
Great fun! We booked and paid online a few days before. It was the long weekend so most slots were already booked. We were lucky enough to be a smaller group and had one guide assisting us through the graduated levels from green, red, blue, and black and purple. They were very helpful and gave clear guidance. There were hand sanitisers at every start of each new level. Tested my upper body strength and balance! As a shorter person, some parts were a struggle as I had to stretch but still very much worth it. Looking forward to exploring their other locations in Ontario.
Tree top trekking was a lot of fun. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. All around the whole place was very safe. Took a youth group here for a couple hours and they had a blast! Would definitely go again!
I've been Treetop Trekking since 2013 and I love it. As an activity it never gets boring and there are so many wonderful parks to choose from with courses for all skill levels.
Excellent tree top trekking experience. The 4th one was really very tough...but overall worth the experience.
Zip lining was awesome! Short but awesome! My wife and I had a great time here. Stopped by the restaurant as well. They serve craft beer and one of my faves Granville island brewery (not on the menu) from BC!
WOW that’s all I am going to say figure it out for your self
Strenuous but I did all of the courses
It was a great time. Make sure to leave everything in your car because there are limited lockers.
Excellent experience with my family, truly one to remember. The staff were very helpful and their guidance was excellent. Definitely recommend a tree top experience in the summer.
My boyfriend and I went here for our 6 year anniversary yesterday. We had to re book because of an emergency and even though we didn't give the 24 hour notice they require the staff was accommodating and so helpful and let us come the next day! The obstacle courses were so fun but can get a bit scary and nerve wrecking for some! We didn't finish all the courses but we loved the ones we did accomplish! I was a bit of a baby on the last course we did and almost cried because I didn't want to do some of the scarier games but seeing as I couldn't go backwards or get off until I completed it I went ahead and accomplished it! They emphasize safety here which is of coarse necessary when you're so high off the ground and the orientation was very thorough. They had us do a trust test with our equipment so we knew we didn't need to worry. The zip lining was amazing fun and the over all experience was exhilarating. Only thing I would change is it would be nice if there were more ladders through the courses in case someone (like myself) got really scared and wanted to come down! Also just a heads up to anyone, I woke up this morning more sore than I have ever been in my entire life! It really is a workout!
Came here with my cousin and his kids. Loved the atmosphere. Super friendly staff.
One of the best activity we did as a family with two teenager kids. I wish we knew about this before. Felt we missed this activity for many years however now we are glad we know about it. We will definitely visit again. Few suggestions: The end of level 1 loop ends up to centre point where other level like red and blue starts. There is no garbage and recycle bins there. It would be good so people do not throw garbage and recycle waste all around. This is very exhaustive and tiring activity. I am sure people are thirsty and due to limitations with what they can carry up in the air, they may not have water bottles with them. Please put up one water fountain to help people hydrated. I am sure people will appreciate more by coming more for this activity. Thank you.
Daughter loved the Discovery Coursr
Great experience, awesome park.
It was a nice experience the front desk staff is so courteous, the only thing which spoilt the day was the behaviour of the support staff in the field. It was our first time and we didn’t know how to put weight on the zip liner. She started advising us and when we were not able to understand she started quoting you should always listen to me and made a face, just after that I’d to apologise to her twice and again she repeated you should listen to me all the mood was spoilt and I wasn’t able to try the second level as all of this took place on first level. It was my birthday and I came here with so much expectations to enjoy, and all the mood was spoilt with her behaviour. Another advice, my friend was so tired up while doing all the activities, there should be stairs on every step to go down on asking from the same support staff about this, she told us you have to go all the way to the back.
HANDS DOWN Horseshoe offers FANTASTIC Treetop trekking courses! The courses have a variety of challenges and set ups. Worth the time, energy and money. Once you go there you'll ALWAYS want to return again.
Good courses with Different levels of difficulty. Worked my way up to black courses and was able to finish it!! The staff there are very encouraging and helpful. Good COVID protocols l, nice grounds, plenty of parking, not far from Toronto and decent prices. Would highly recommend.
some of the staff were helpful, some others were just sarcastic and just let you suffer and get angry as some of the obstacles were hard to go through...also keep in mind that you have to go through some of the courses that have no zip lines and that are hard before actually enjoying zip lining and the forest. They DO NOT provide gloves even though you really need them! NO water is provided so either brig your own or buy from them. If you happen to give up because it is too hard for you, as for some people found it, keep in mind that you do not have ladders at all the obstacles ...you would have to go through almost half the course and then come down.....for me it was an awful experience ,...never going back...RIP OFF...we paid $72 for easch as a group and we had to pay another $12 extra to enjoy the bigger zip line.....RIP OFF
Great experience!
The tree top trekking is amazing. Its really a challenging and awesome experience. Rated it low for the Mega Zip line experience where we have been waiting for more than 1 1/2 hours for the 1 minute ride.
My daughter and I loved it!!!!
Loved our experience, took our 9 yr old and he had a blast. Great climbing for the little ones too
Great experiences but at a very high cost. If I ever come back? Probably not due to the high cost.
Loved it, so cool great exercise, fall trees spectacular! Family fun, nice staff
Super fun - exhausting!
Friendly staff!!
Love this place.
This was definitely a great experience, lots of fun. It was a great date activity, highly recommended. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 star is that there’s really no direction once you are there, and the wait time can be a little frustrating if there are people ahead of you who complete the courses slowly (maybe make the groups smaller for each booking time) but it’s not that big a deal. Other than that like I said lots of fun, highly recommend. Just don’t stop at the restaurant on site to eat after, the service there is beyond horrible.
It's an amazing fun outdoor adventure to enjoy... I definitely recommend this place for all ages... If you want to overcome your fear of heights try this place... It's awesome I enjoyed it a lot...
Made an appointment last night and started raining the morning of my appointment and they wouldn’t have me a refund even tho i only made the appointment less then 24 hours they said they wouldn’t do anything about it. Who would wanna play outside when it’s pouring rain I should at least at a refund or something they have horrible customer service too.
Me and the girl friend had a blast here :)
It was a wonderful getaway to be surrounded by nature in the midst of this pandemic, the guides were attentive and helpful, covid preventative measures are in place, equipment are all cleaned with soap and water before reissuing them, each station also has a sanitizer spray bottle. For those looking to book this, make sure to fill out the waiver form in advance to save time. Arrive earlier to get all the gear on to maximize the time on the course. I highly recommend to bring gloves, to prevent cuts and scrapes as well as help with the friction against the wires. Be prepared for a workout!!!
I LOVED IT! It was really fun and safe :) would definetly come again!
Only has 1 trek for kid discovery course.
A bit expensive for value but extremely fun.
Tree top trekking and ziplining is an amazing and engaging outdoor experience. The instructors sre thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this experience to anyone that enjoys being outdoors and a challenge.
So awesome, i loved it!
I had a fall on one of the lines and couldn’t pull myself up but the staff was great and helped me down
Best thing we ever did and so good for the body. More challenging that it looks in photos. It's exactly what we are meant to do as predecessors of apes ????
Amazing place for people who love adventure in the nature! Staff was very helpful and the overall experience was amazing! Sanitation was well taken care off and we had lots of fun!
Trekking on trees was good
Totally worth it????????????????!!
Awesome!
Highly recommend tree top trekking. The staff are friendly and professional. I went with some co-workers and it was definitely a great team building experience. I had a moment where I couldn't go on in the course and one of the guides, I believe his name was Michael, was super encouraging and calming about helping me off the course. Even though I felt very embarrassed at the time all the staff members were reassuring, I never felt unsafe. Fun experience and would try again at some point.
Very fun. Was expecting it a hiking/treetop bridge walking tour but it's not anything like that. Courses are unexpectedly challenging in a very nice way. Had a fun day there!
Our family visited this summer and LOVED it! It is very safe, a great family bonding experience! The courses are challenging, and fun! We will definitely be returning to try again! Gloves are NIT provided but DEFINATELY NEEDED as your hands do get sore! Take water and snacks to refuel between courses, you’ll need it! I am afraid of heights and could have completed more of the courses if I didn’t feel pressured to hurry! As it’s a busy spot. I’ll try to find out less busy periods for my next visit!
Friendly staff and tons of fun
A great place for adventure. The course are amazingly difficult. Hahaha. But It's fun and my family enjoy it. My 5 year old daughter's first time and staff assist her on the whole course. Two thumbs up for the staff. They go well and beyond.
Excellent...kids had fun....safety first. Staff attentive.
Great experience and its really fun
Very adventurous with multiple activities
Great experience I recommend ????????
Very fun place to zip line
Friendly staff and clean site
Super fun for kids and adults and they have lots of different courses to do
AWESOME TIME, was so much more then we expected. The staff is funny and makes you feel safe. Training is excellent, and simple. Bring water and snacks. A Go Pro would be perfect. Make the drive, and have memories last a life time. Thank you!!!! If this review helps, pls like.
The girls had a fantastic time, and got a great work out. Unfortunately, it was too windy for the MegaZip... maybe next time
Very well organized, great course with some challenging obstacles! Awesome staff who are super helpful!
Had an awesome time at treetop trekking, great course. Great activity to do with a group. Staff were friendly and course was safe and well maintained.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They understand that most climbers are out of their comfort zone and demonstrate patience and encouragement. My 4 kids love that there are low level climbs and higher level climbs. We return annually because of the quality at the facility. Can't wait for next summer!
Beautiful , organized ,the set up actually great and thoughtful, children and adults can have fun, trekking in wide open area , highly recommended for every age .
Lots of fun! Great for a team building outing.
I went with 10 friends & family aged 25-65yrs for my birthday yesterday and although a few struggled at times, we all had the most amazing afternoon!! ???? ???? I can't wait to return; I think I'll try using gloves next time!
Awesome and fun activity for all ages! The zipline a are amazing and scenic, plus, if being in nature is something you love, then this sport is for you!
Great experience. A little on the expensive side but it was worth it.
Great place for a work out...
Perfect 5 star perfect. Thank you very much Linda
Amazing staff and a great time had by all
Great obstacle course 20 feet in the air
Good place with a very helpful staff. A lot of fun!
Pure fan in nature. We were extremely late, and they let us extra time. Appreciate it ????
The only thing I would change is the fact that it's run by a bunch of immature young kids. Some were great but others were plain rude
Didn't try it as scared of heights but the track looked amazing and challenging.
Definitely worth a try. Good workout, it has different courses and ziplines
Mega zip is awesome! Make sure you add it on! Entire park and experience is super hard but super worth it!
The cross-country bike project is great
Great place to visit and get your new experience with great exercise. A lot of fun to play. Recommended to get season pass to visit all 5 place to try your treetop trekking and zipline.
Fun for all ages 5 and up.
$60?, that is not FUNNY
(Translated) nice climbing forest with many different routes. (Original) leuk klimbos met veel verschillende routes.
I went tree trekking. At first it was terrifying but after it was really fun.
I was not sure what to expect but I had an amazing experience at the Barrie location. It was a hike to get to the Trekking area so be prepared to walk there. They do have areas at the bottom of the courses to put backpacks and water bottles (leave at own risk) which is good. I gave it four stars as I am terrified of heights and hated that we did level two before level one. But the staff was awesome and helped me ‘push’ myself. There is a tunnel to crawl through on one of the courses which was covered in sweat when I went, I would advise they clean this more. Overall, the nature was beautiful and the workout was great.
Great fun and adventure
It's challenging especially if you want to finish all levels.
Very unique experience! Would do again
Took my daughters here as part of my eldest’s daughter’s 16th birthday. We had an amazing time ????! Things truly got enjoyable after the orientation class, and once we were able to get past some slow pokes ????. Look for the less used paths, where you can really have some fun!
The Discovery Course is a great adventure for Younger Children at a great price. The Zip Line Ariel Game Trek is a fun challenge. I am moderately active and not in the best shape but was able to complete the beginner and intermediate course on my first attempt without too much difficulty. I would have liked to try to the harder courses but ran out of time. My 9 year old son was also able to complete everything without stumbling but did have a little difficulty with one challenge due to his height. Everything is completely safe. You are required to fill out a waiver (arrive early), complete an orientation course and progress through the courses in order of difficulty. If you don't follow the rules you'll either hurt yourself or be escorted off the course. Only problem I had was my twin 8 year olds wanted to try the larger course. I wish there were more zip lines on the courses and the price of the Ariel Game Trek was a bit lower. Maybe break out the cost of running the hard courses? Shout out to Lori. She was a big hit with our three children to the point that they were sad to say goodbye. *** Returned a couple times and it continues to be our favourite treetop location in Ontario. Note: if you are staying at Carriage Hills Resort there is a hiking path that takes you directly there (it says it is closed but it's by the service road beside the pool building.) Otherwise you have to drive over to Horseshoe Valley Resort, park by the maze/mini-putt and walk through the golf course. It's confusing the first time.
So much fun. The black one is so difficult and I almost wanted to quit in the middle. However there is no way to get down so I just kept going and I did it lol. If you have long legs it’s probably easier. Will try other locations in future!
Great experience, worth every dollar, 3 hour experience and the mega zip is a must do. Staff are nice, very helpful, and accommodating
This place is amazing. Beautiful views and a good workout. Staff were friendly, helpful and encouraging.
The staff was incredible. We arrived late but they accommodated us as efficiently and politely as possible. One of our party members had a medical issue in the middle of the course (no fault of anyone’s) and the staff was quick to come to the rescue. Will definitely be returning as this is a fantastic course with even greater staff.
A good place for tree top trekking
So fun! Great staff!
Came here with my family and had a very good time. We loved the different obstacles, especially the zip-lines. We really appreciate the staff for looking after all of us and making sure everyone was safe at all times.
The friendliest staff! They were so helpful and happy and clearly love what they are doing...it really shows!
A great and unique experience. Loved the tree top treks and the zip lining. Must try.
Awesome family adventure
I’ve been to Tree Top Trekking pre-pandemic and going back just recently, still doesn’t disappoint! Staff are great and very knowledgeable. They also have great COVID and sanitization procedures in place. Can’t wait to go back!!!
Staff here we're very accommodating and helpful, many courses to climb at all experience levels... Good for big or small groups. Would come back!
We had a great time. They were a little disorganized but the staff were very friendly and experienced. Easy to challenging treks. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something a little different. Well worth the hours and dollars spent.
The obstacles are fun and enjoyable. There are no signs from the parking lot to the start of where the tree trekking is. The staff aren't very attentive and don't really help out or keep an eye out with the kids.
The safety harness is positikned too low. You will either ruin your shirt or have it bang on your head
Good place, but one of the guide worker's attitude toward Caucasian and minorities households are totally different.
Very high up. Would not recommed
Incredible and lil bit scary lol
Came here with a friend. We had so much fun. A lot of laughs and climbing too. Highly recommended! It was a great experience, the staff was very friendly and welcoming !
Cool courses, in particular the more difficult ones. Four stars only because an employee told me that I can "keep my city" when finding out I'm from Toronto. Somewhat unnecessary.
Good place to get away for the summer and spend some time with the family
Loved it. Nice trekking course
Awesome
Amazing 2nd year in a row! Will be back soon!!!
Overall a really terrific experience and one we'll certainly be back to try in the future! The courses were fun and challenging although definitely not recommended for anyone with mobility or conditioning issues at all. Be warned, it's serious exercise and not like a normal zip line course. We were exhausted at the end (but with a smile on our faces)! The staff were friendly, professional and incredibly encouraging when a couple other guests were a bit nervous about one of the obstacles. The safety course at the beginning was informative without feeling overly long. The difficulty level ramped up quickly with the top course requiring you to climb a cargo net and some pretty difficult obstacles (steer clear if you're afraid of heights) but didn't feel unmanageable. Doing them in order from easiest to hardest was the right decision as the incremental steps up in difficulty meant we were never overwhelmed. When buying the tickets online $60 each for two adults felt a bit steep, but I felt we got our money's worth in 3 1/2 hours. We visited the Barrie (Horseshoe Resort) location in the late fall first thing in the morning and there was only a handful of people there so no waiting whatsoever. I imagine longer lines would've dampened the experience somewhat, but certainly no complaints this time around. Excellent experience from start to finish! Can't wait to check out the other locations.
Had an amazing time. Alot of fun.
My family enjoyed the trecking experience
It was really hard for me, but I'm glad I tried it. The staff was very friendly.
Good
Definitely 5 star PERFECT way to spend 4 hours !! Soooo worth the money ! I’ll admit this one is not as high off the ground as the Huntsville location, but the obstacles are still just as tough. If you have soft hands, please do yourself a favor and bring gloves for all the ropes or it will burn!! Bring lots of water bottles & solid running shoes , it WILL be intense !!
The treetop trekking was absolutely a great adventure full of excitement and the staff were very encouraging and supportive high five to them they helped me finish the couse
This was the 1st time my kids went for tree top trekking..it was a challenging course and they loved it
This is so much fun if you can physically do this stuff I highly suggest going to any tree top trekking. The added bonus of doing it here is all the other stuff they have to offer
Great pjace
I had a great time it was very enjoyable
The kids loved it
Awesome experience. Lots of walking to entrance...arrive early.
Kids had a blast here! The course was very short but they allowed unlimited turns so that makes up for it.
Came here for my birthday, trekked for the first time. It was so much fun... I plan to do these adventures much more often now!
Such a fantastic place to visit!
We had a really great time! Great physical workout. Friendly Staff! Eric is a great guide, very helpful and friendly. We had a lot of fun as a family.
Wonderful experience, fun group and families activities
Good outdoor
Great experience. We loved it !!
This was awesome, a bit scary for the faint of heart but awesome
It was a great family excursion. It was a little tougher on people that are height deprived; sometimes they required a helping hand.
Our experience from start to finish was excellent. Matt took my reservation. I initally booked in for Hunstville but called Barrie on a whim. Not only did they accomodate us on short notice they also cancelled my existing reservation. Upon arrival the check-in was seemless. We were emailed wavers ahead of time to complete. The staff showed our group how to properly put on the equiptment and went around to ensure we all had it on properly. We were then handed over to our guide for the day Chelsea. Chelsea was super sweet and knowledgeable. She took her time explaining everything one would need to know to complete the various courses. She even rescued me off a zipline at one point. I am literally double (at least) her size and she came out and towed me back in with her own strength. She assessed our skills and recommended I sit out the black course. My husband and I agreed with her assessment 100%. She was veey gentle and explained her reasons. We honestly had an amazing time from start to finish and cannot wait to return! The gentleman that collected our equiptment had great energy and asked questions about our experience!! Fabulous overall experience!! Thank You Shawna
I love the recent upgrades that Horseshoe Tree-top trekking has made. Different levels for all ages and abilities. The whole family can go and no one is left behind because they are too small; and the bigger kids and fit adults are able to find courses that change them. Try the zip lining too....never lasts long enough but the views are reason enough to do it! Highly recommend both; but if you have to pick one; the ropes courses are a must!
I have been wanting to something like this for awhile, so when WagJag offered a discounted package I jumped on it. When you first arrive, after parking your car, you still have to walk about 15 minutes to actually get to the location which explains the 30 minute requested early arrival time. This also allows you time to sign the waiver, and get all harnessed up before they start the orientation tour. The whole thing after they orientation seemed somewhat confusing and unorganized. One course they had me sign a book AFTER I had finished the course (BLUE), and the other course (BLACK) they had had me sign before I started. Never knew when I was supposed to be signing and when it was not required. Staff were very courteous and understanding that the 400 series highway was EXTREMELY busy on the day we went. The GPS had estimated an arrival time originally of 1:30 which was the 1/2 hour requested for our start time of 2:00. However, we didn't arrive and get registered until almost 2:45. The did allow us to go until 5:30, which was extremely generous of them. I know this is more a management thing, but I felt that there was a lack of guides, several courses have only 1 at the beginning, and another half way through It is very easy to get stuck and either not be able to ask for help, or not connect your carabiners and not be seen. This was more evident on the PURPLE and BLACK courses, where you cannot see the participants from a distance. For example on PURPLE it starts with 4 zip lines and after the first you do three more before you see another guide. Apparently that guide was supposed to tell me something like what course was next, or if I could do black because when I got off and asked the next person he asked if the guy at purple had made me sign anything? When I asked what guide, as there wasn't one at the end of the course he asked about the one in the middle and I said he didn't say a word to me. On the other courses, they are fairly close so you can see the participants but you wouldn't know if they had unhooked or not. They give you a bracelet which marks down the time you are finished at, and also appear to have spots to be check marked either before or after you finish each course. I never had anybody check these, so guess either they were not doing their job, or they expect you to do it yourself. They do have water and Gatorade available at the little shack where you check in, but they are resort prices. $2 for a bottle of water and $3 for a Gatorade. It is a physical work out, so bring liquids and snacks if you can. Although you are in the shade, when it is warm you will work up quite a sweat. Unless the courses are clear, and you are very athletic you will have a hard time finishing all the courses, but if you do well they will let you skip courses. I skipped the GREEN and RED courses and when I was done BLUE went straight to PURPLE and BLACK. I am not sure that I would pay full price for something this, but for the discounted price it was worth it.
This is my absolute favourite fall activity and the best way to enjoy the changing leaves.
Great time but intermediate tough on younger children
Needs to have parking closer
Lots of fun. Guides were very friendly and helpful. Finishing with the purple zipline course was a highlight. Would definitely go back and do it all again!
Loved it, it still needs a little work. But we enjoyed our visit
After checking out the stoufville location today and them being fully booked for today. I called the Barrie location and got reservation right away. The lady on the phone was very accommodating. However, we arrived late because of our GPS. But, they still took us in. The staff are very nice. The courses are good as well. Just want to say thank you!
Went Aug 29, yes one of the hottest day of the summer! The actual course and safety is very well done. The weekend staff, not great. They did the orientation, that was good but then just left. We were unsure where to go and surprised there was no staff at the first course to ensure you were doing all the safety correctly. Biggest issue was NO water being offered. Yes, you could buy at office for $1.50 but how do you carry that and you can't keep going back to office. There should have been a cooler with water bottles in the general area where all the courses start and finish, maybe sell tickets (.50) or free. Greatly needed !!
It was a great experience to go! The obstacles are really fun but I wish I was able to go on the course black...and not just sit there watching my friends do the fun course because I was too short, but overall it was enjoyable and for people who aren't used to hights should be aware that u are really up high in the trees walking on scary obstacles!
Great fun for the kids and the adults acting like kids. Awesome time and lots of laughs.
So much fun
Very safe. Physical! Good work out. Lots of fun ziplines!
So much fun
Great place. Best tree trekking site yet. All courses are centralized. Games are not too difficult; some could be if you are short
We called to make an appointment for Barrie but the phone operator instead of booking here sent us to other location. When we arrived Rachel at the check-in desk was very rude, not understating of the situation and told us to rebook. We had to go back after a long ride. She even suggested to resell our packages on kijiji if we wanted to get our money back. I hope the upper management of the treetop trekking company can make it right.
So much fun!!! I was thrilled with this experience. It is incredibly well thought-out and set-up, and for 3h of excitement you really can't beat it! Staff were great, I felt safe, and they keep the group small enough that you dont spend all your time waiting for people.
Treetop Trekking Barrie was great fun! All 5 courses were extremely fun and challenging. All in all a fantastic time. Would definitely do it again!
A real workout ????
Amazing staff, great fun, if you like a challenge then give this place a try.
interesting activity for families or couples, easy to understand orientation might be alittle scarry at first but totally safe. 4 levels plus zipline depends on how hard you want to challenge yourself!!
The staff were great. It was fun and challenging.
Awesome place. Closed for the winter right now, but we are definitely returning when they reopen. We have been to 5 of the 6 Treetop Trekking locations and this one is our favourite.
I cannot comment on the actual activity as I was unable to book it with my questions answered. Instead, I am reviewing the customer service at the Barrie location Treetop Trekking. My sons have been excited to try the Discovery Course but I could not book until I could ask the representatives if my younger son, who is a sliver shy of their age and height requirements, could participate. The website has two numbers to call for questions. I tried calling both numbers many times per day for 3 days in a row and never reached anyone. Lousy service! So I decided to bring my boys and baby yesterday to ask in person but there was a wedding going on at the resort and I could not find a parking spot. I decided to try to book it online today just for my older son but ran into website issues, so called again many times and could not reach anyone. I decided to drive there again today to discover that the checkin for the activity was too far for me to walk to in the limited time I had, so I spoke to a rep at Horseshoe Valley by the mini golf area and he told me to go to the main office of the resort where they handle the bookings for Treetop Trekking and that they may offer me a discount for the activity because of the hassles I have encountered. So I walked over there and spoke to a resort rep who told me that Treetop Trekking is a third party company that is completely separate from them and they can't help me at all and that the resort rep I had talked to was confused. An error like that can be forgiven but never answering the phone for several days in a row is a turnoff to a potential customer. Needless to say, both my son and I are now disappointed.
Pleasant, professional, and helpful staff. Fun, diverse, and challenging aerial courses. Improved signage/wayfinding system would better assist in locating the park within the Horseshoe Valley resort.
Took the kids for a couple of hours on the kids course and they absolutely loved it. Their first time through the course was a slow and nervous experience, but after they got through it once, they flew through it each time after. They really built their confidence through this fun activity. Would return. Highly recommended.
I absolutely loved this experience!!! The orientation was so rough in my hands that I was bleeding, I didn’t think my hands were that sensitive but they deff were. Wish they gave out gloves as a part of your ticket. The staff are great and the experience is amazing! Will definitely do this again!
Good course, but unfortunately we got pulled in because of lightnin Cood staff.
Most of the courses are closed for maintenance including the zip line course. So disappointed as we drove 2 hours for the zip line course. It is a waste of money and time for just only 4 courses are opened.
I like Black course and Adrenalin jump - it's a real challenge!
For people who love adventure, this is the place for you
