I went here a few years ago and i had a great time. The instructors were nice and didn't pressure me (for i was a new skier) and i got to learn a lot of stuff about skiing. The reason i rated 3 stars is because i went on the ski lift with my brother, and i didn't get seated properly on the lift, therefore i hanging from the lift with my brother grabbing me. This could have been stopped if the ski lift operator had stopped the ski lift and giving me a chance to get back on.

Fun place to be. They need more people to check people in to make the payment line easier and quicker. They also need more staff at the top of the hills so people who paid big bucks would be able to get their money's worth and go down the hills more. The wait time is terrible.

Roberto Dioso

Great place to go on winter get away with family. Breath catching snow tubing and adventurous hiking trails is a great way to unwind away from the city. Snow boarding and skiing is the most popular attractions among the visitors.

Penny Letheren

We've been skiing at Snow Valley since the kids started walking. We were all new to the sport but needed a winter activity. This activity has turned into a lifetime love as the entire family cannot get enough of this sport and this resort. SV has been great for teaching all of us the fundamentals of skiing.

Nicholas Stewart

So I have been snowboarding and I have been experienced with snowboarding and I love it there me and some buddies go out there and we have a lot of fun and we stay there all night till it closes and then we go home and I always say I wish it was open all night so then we can stay there longer keep up what you are doing ????????????????????????

M Sam

Nice place to bring family for skiing. Amazing staffs. Be aware of long line up for the passes, for cable cars. Overall, it is a good place for skiing.

Jon Mullin

So much fun!! $45 = 10 x snow tubing awesomeness!!

Manasa

It's a good place where we can do the skiing and snow tubing. The place is open till 9pm. If you are not an experienced skier, u can take lessons before attempting, which are provided at the resort itself. It costs an additional 70$ for that. The tubing is great fun. A good place to have a good time.

Steven Foster

A great evening to get out and hit the slopes. Friendly staff and COVID free

Alex Schuchardt

Had a blast Snow Tubing with my daughter. We were tubing for about 2.5 hours. It was her first time tubing and she had tons of fun. Can't wait to take my other daughter. I highly recommend checking out Snow Valley for winter fun.

AisPec Life

I've been here 2 years ago,Very nice and friendliest staff they have, I definitely go back here and recommend to those who are looking for everyday fun for your family and friends. They are open 7 days a week.

Sky Star

Left my snowboard here accidentally l, came back and asked and even show them the photo, one receptionist, and the other one came into the storage room to check and still said no, I asked to see the "other board" and it was exactly in the picture Fries are the sorriest thing at snow valley. It's the worst fries I've ever eaten, I'd rather eat McDonald fries straight from the fridge, their pizza is the same Very unprofessional but at least got my board back Always ask to check the lost and found guys

During the pre-covid life, this place was amazing.. unlimited amount of tubing was allowed (with long line up which was fine) kids would spend the whole night having a ton of fun. Now: 2hr limit- tons of visitors(Worse than pre-covid time) too much time was spent in line waiting. We got 4runs in At least limit the amount of visitors so kids can actually enjoy tubing and not waiting in line. Looks like this park is turing into a money hungry business just like everything else. However the staff is amazing there!!

Robert Greene

We had a blast. Came Sunday February 17th was packed so we did the snowshoe trails. Came back on Tuesday February 19th and did the snow tubing 5 rides each and it was soooooo worth it. Now heading back to Florida

Sherif Fathy

Perfect place near by to spend a wonderful time

Eric

Great place for some weekend skiing and snowboarding! The mountain is on the smaller side, but they have great quality runs.

Karen Bouffard

Update: They don't have night skiing on Monday nights...making their already too expensive night season pass option even more overpriced! Terrible season pass options!! Kind of a scam how they don’t offer a discount for kids night passes. We are a family of three with a 6 year old and had to pay full price for her night pass. They said I could get an “almost anytime” pass (ages 6-15) but that’s more expensive than an adult night pass. I was then told that a lot of people just drop their kids off and leave! Who’s going to drop a 6 year old off? We want to ski as a family...their family pass only works if you’re a family of 4! They don’t seem to care though...you have to pay one way or another.

Kathleen Trainor

I took my son snow tubing at SV and we had a fantastic time! We had so much fun barreling down the run on our tubes. Awesome way to spend time with your family on a beautiful winters day.

Priscilla Tseng

Good tubing hill - more affordable compared to Horseshoe Valley tubing hill - my 7yr old loved the main hill but it was too scary/fast for my 5yr old. After going down once, she didn't want to go again. We tried to switch to the kids tubing hill but they wouldn't let us even though the kids area didn't seem to be very busy. So we paid $70 to go down the tubing hill once essentially. I wish they would have been more flexible...

Yen Le

We went here on a -22oC day, fulfilled with fun. The skiing and snow-tubing areas were not so packed. Everywhere was so clean and the staff were all helpful (despite standing outside in the freezing weather). The restaurant on top of the Snow-tubing house was spacious and clean too. Will definitely come back very soon

Jerome Fradette

Everyone seems to xome here for the tubing.... oh.... Best tubing around!!!!!

Avinaa Vasanth

I enjoyed a lot. It is super cool. Love this experience.

Prasadgouda Mundinamani

Prices are not that bad. Customer Service needs to be improved. The teenage customer Service reps should be given proper training to help customers.

Everett Horner

Great ski resort for ski and snowboard beginners. Terrain park is well put together as well. Definitely recommend checking out the snow tubing! Expert skiers and snowboarders would be better off at Blue Mountain or another more challenging ski resort.

R Dinesh Chandrasekar

Very Nice place for beginners. Kids will enjoy a lot. I visited on a Sunday but was not crowded at all. Nice large cafe at the top of the snow-tubing center to relax.

Jennifer Olise

Even though it wasn't really snowy, they still had some runs open, and when I got there I asked a lot of questions and they were very helpful.

JLock Official

Very good hills but one of my favorite parts of this place is the poutine some of the best I tried.

Laura Peynado

We had so much fun today! Love that the hills are a bit longer. Employees are very helpful and nice :)

Mark Hooper

Great service inside chalet. Hills were well done for conditions thus far.

Jason Rodgers

Great family fun

Tom Eichler

Visited Snow Valley for the first time, and the kids had a blast learning to ski. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that there was a lot of confusion around the ski lessons. There were more students than the staff can handle, and nobody knew who to follow or where to go. There should be a little more structure around the lessons, especially on really busy days. Otherwise, it's a great facility, and the snow tubes looked really great. Unfortunately the lineup was too long for the tubes, with a temporary shut-down of ticket sales due to the large volume.

Char 787

The resort is small compared to others nearby, and many of the trails are closed even in January. The snow is decent.

Filip Czerwiński

Great place especially for begginers.

Francois Khalil

Great place for families. They even have a Chalet with seating, tables and WiFi. Outside food is allowed

janet

I went there with my family during the holidays this year to learn how to snowboard. The location is very heart-warming and you will feel very comfortable. Each staff and employee who work there are always up to answering your question and are always giving 100%! When I was learning how to snowboard, the teachers there had humor and taught us the rules, I still remember the rules even though it's been two weeks! The teachers will push you try the steeper hills and this determines the learners to try and go down the hill without falling. There hot chocolate is so good, if you are learning how to ski or snowboard they will give you tickets to get a free hot chocolate, tea, or coffee. It was a very fun experience, even though I had an extremely sore back the next day, I was able to learn how to snowboard. I definitely hope I can go. back next year!

Sal Jiwani

Had lots of fun at this place. Just minutes from Barrie. Scenery is great and the slopes are decent for a small ski resort.

Kalpesh Panchal

Great Snow-Skiing spot for families, snow tubing, kids-safe play area, economical prices, free parking.

Daniel S.

I have never been in any other venue for Snowboarding. I really enjoyed this place. The food quarters is very quaint and I had a great time there consuming all that atmosphere.

C. Schmidt

Snow Tubing Review only - This was the best tubing experience our family has had in North America. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The lanes were amazing, the higher set of slopes were even more amazing. We highly recommend.

Ivan Sandoval

Just had the most disgusting customer service experience I’ve ever encountered at a ski hill. Skiing here can be fun, small hill but lots of families, so you would think the experience will be wholesome. But really, an experience can be taken to the next level by its staff - and the staff here are absolutely arrogant and outright rude. My family and I were seated at 5:15pm In the restaurant after nice day out. We were informed that we only had 45 minutes to leave. Fair enough, it’s COVID, looked at my watch and confirmed 6 pm to leave, no problem. 25 minutes later, Andy the manager came by to tell us to immediately leave. I tried to inform him that we actually have about 20 mins left, and he accused me of lying. I guess a customer is not always right. I tried to lead with him, that there must have been a mistake - He became aggressive, raising his tone unprofessionally in front of several customers and becoming intimidating to myself, my wife and 2 young daughters. He startled the guests leaving a bad taste in all of their mouths. How do you allow someone with a temper like this to be a manager? Our food was also actually delayed and the kitchen staff promised they would let the host table know about it - but the host staff and Andy rejected the kitchens request to make up for their error by providing good customer service. Either way, they forced us to leave, food in hand and told us to re-lineup in the cold. You’re better off at Horseshoe Resort and Moonstone, two mountains that absolutely believe in great customer service, I’d stay away from here, never coming back.

I love it! It’s great fun for family and friends and the staff are so nice. One time some kid pushed me down the hill before I could come down and they were totally fine about it!

Fynn Touchette

Done all my lessons here!!

Jorge Alberto Muñoz Andrade

Great instructors. The private lessons are totally worthy!

Geoff Langdon

Great hill for a young family. Close to the city, good selection of easy and more moderate slopes, and the lifts run well... Hardly ever a line.

Stephanie Citrino

I really enjoyed the covid skiing experience !! Wearing a mask or face covering shouldn't be anything new to someone who skis or boards as we all know how cold it is going down lol of course we're going to cover our mouth and noses. One thing to make sure is to always wear a face covering in the lineups. I found that everyone everyone used their skiis and boards as a measurement of distance lol which is cool if you're cool with it. Snow valley offers many hills that varied in skill level. Which was great to warm up on a green and not having to travel so far to hit a blue or black later on in the day. Closer to the end of the evening it got a bit busy. One of the lifts went down and only 2 were optional. Waiting in a 15 min line to go down a 2 min hill is cool if you're cool with it. They fixed the lift and all was good within the hour. Over all I enjoyed the 4 hours, taking multiple breaks to the car and still feeling grateful and exhausted lol. Thanks for reading and please wear a mask!! the slopes are finally open !!!!

Stefan

Hands down the best hill skiing in the GTA, the staff are friendly and the slopes are all unique and even though the drive is far from mid-Toronto it's worth it. Would recommend 100%

Ahmed AbdulWahed

Wow.. this is a great place to have fun. My family and I enjoyed our time, we did several rounds of Snow Tubing.

Scott McCrindle

A fantastic family-oriented ski resort. Great terrain park, and a wide variety of different runs for any age and skill level. Friendly staff, lovely indoor fireplaces and awesome poutine!

Krunal Patel

I visited Blue mountain and horseshoe resort for tubing and they are good as well but if you are looking for bit of adventuresome tubing then snowvelly is the best place comparatively. It has excellent downward slope that gives you the best feeling of tubing with little fear and that is missing at other places. Also it has 12 lanes in total with good length. The elevator bring you up while you remain seated in the tube which I liked as that is also funsom. All in all if you are unskilled person like me who don't know skiing ???? or snowboarding ???? but really want to do some winter activity then try snowvelly tubing.

Yash Gandhi

It was a great fun being here. The trip was arranged by the college. As it was my first time to experience skiing, I loved it. They have a variety of options for the visitors. My package was consist of Skiing and lessons. They give a very good lessons to everyone. They were just enjoying in giving lessons. The dedication was excellent. The way they have maintained the snow is appreciable. For international visitors it is best opportunity to learn and the skiing and snowboarding by visiting to now valley sky resort. Really waiting for my next visit.

Mr. Lo

Played tubing here today. It's pretty good, staff are friendly and feel pretty safe with the crowd restrictions.

Scott Morrison

Amazing place to learn how to ski/ride, their kids ski school programs are very well organized and run. The hill itself is on the small side even by Ontario standards and there are no high speed detachable lifts (just classic fixed chairs). The snow is generally well maintained. Intermediate and advanced skiers will not be challenged other resorts in the area would be the better choice for them.

hania daaboul

I like this place because there is so many options so there is verities in hills steepness, so all levels can go. Also the kids hills are accessible easily from other his so you can leave your kids go to the slop and come back to them doesn’t take a long time. They won’t even feel your gone if they are 7 and above and they can ski a bit

HL SH

Great place for family. Free parking. Awesome staff.

Josheyo

It's pretty fun there I have a good time when I snow board there

JamesStillGames

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! WE DRIVE HERE EVERY WINTER FROM KITCHENER AND WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

Tristan Seto

My friends and I had gone snow tubing on a particularly cold day. It was really fun - the hills, the lifts, the snacks and basically everything in general! They do have mini lockers for a few toonies to store your stuff and a mini-mountain for the toddlers and little kids to play around on as well.

Brandon Charbonneau

Fun tubing!

Camera Dude

4th year ski in here. Good rental equipment. Well control line up for chair lift. Comfortable lunch area.

James Leung

I learned to ski here, and the lessons are very good for beginners. The resort is large enough for a day trip, but may be a bit lacking for multi-night stays. The terrain park is adequately fitted, and there is also a halfpipe. Food is expensive, but filling.

Tracy Saunders

Perfect place to ski during COVID! Some other hills haven’t quite figured it out yet but Snow Valley is setting a great example! Thank you for keeping us safe and letting us ski with our friends and family this year.

Dan Christante

Snowshoeing - looking for a fun, inexpensive outdoor activity? With everything shutdown snowshoeing is open. The trails here are beautiful, excellent and well organized, including lots of signage and directional arrows. I have equipment so I didnt use the rental, but it is available. Washrooms are outdoor units for now... but they were very clean.... and when you get ready to leave go back up to the snack bar (its open) and get some warm mini cinnamon donuts for the trip home ! Had a great day, looking forward to coming back

Stefan Neal

Snow Valley is a wonderful place for families with young children who are learning to ski. I love the small, quaint, warm feel of this hill. For folks who are just learning, they offer lessons by the main lodge, and they have three different learning slopes that are all linked together, either at the top or the bottom of the runs.

G Angelov

I wish you speedy bankruptcy- but hey at least you’re safe (supposedly) REP will be your downfall. I do not perform my construction services to fully jabcinated individuals (and resorts)

Mike Beaudry

The best family ski hill in Ontario. Both of my kids learns there and ski every couple of days. We love it there. Very relaxed and friendly.

Alifiya Kanchwala

I have 3 sons ages 6, 10 and 11 at varying levels and any time we come to snow valley, they have a great experience and always learn new skills. Staff is extremely nice and patient and helpful, ready to address any concerns we ever have. even on a crazy busy family day long weekend, they have it all figured out. Good job Snow Valley !

shamar brown

Visited here on January 19th with my daughter we had an amazing time. We had an unfortunate situation (not sure if I am at liberty to disclose) and management including Quin was more than accommodating. A+ customer servic and I am truly appreciative. Will definitely return!

Malcolm Diasio Realty

Good value for the price, especially if you save money by purchasing ahead of time online. Recommended for beginners and intermediate skiers. Excellent instructors. Would recommend to friends and family.

sharan kumar

amazing place... needs better maintenance but it is OK... sometimes crowded so plan well and start... nice place to enjoy with friends

ryan j warner

I learned to ski here as a youngster and had the pleasure of working as an instructor for a season. Friendly staff, great food & environment, the perfect place for bigger skiers.

Diana Bar

Snow tubing was so much fun! My daughter and I enjoyed it. Thinking of getting the season pass. The food at the chalet however, was not good ????

Elizabeth Ross

Had a great time at mash bash here the facility is awesome

Crystal Caron-Hemond

Amazing place for families and learning to ski

Kate Kraversky

Every year we get a Family Night pass to go skiing at the Snow Valley Barrie. It's a perfect choice if you are local, we are blessed to have this ski resort so close to our home. Snow Valley has medium difficulty hills that are great for recreational skiing and snowboarding. We spend all day at the Snow Valley, and we eat at their cozy diner, too. Lots of best winter memories are made on those beautiful weekends at Snow Valley! Highly recommended.

Jack Yan

The staff here are so friendly and beyond just nice. They really care about their customers. They never feel get bothered by any questions. They help us adjust our equipment even we didn't rent it from them. Snow Valley is one of our favorite ski resort, good for the family and kids. Not far from Toronto, one hour+ drive, easy to come and go back on the same day. I Strongly recommend people to go here.

Jacob Abusow

Always a great time skiing at snow valley. All of the staff is very happy and look like they love working there.

Ravinder Batta

Visited the Snow Vally Ski resort today the last day of November 2021. Since there was good snowfall for the last 3/4 days, the Vally was full of snow and the area was white upto the eye can see. The Resort is making itself ready for the season and lots of activities are going on. Officially it is likely to open by 9th December.

Jay Tailor

Beautiful slopes and scenery

Dr. Partha P. Kaishap

Great place, enjoyed a lot.

Shahram Mohammadi

Awesome place to relax, have fun and enjoy your time. Customer service is good, nothing fancy. We enjoyed skiing, tubing, swimming. If you like outdoor activities and snow, make sure to visit snow valley.

Blair Hanson

If you don't have time to travel very far outside Barrie and are just looking to get out on the skis with family or kids, I'm sure you'll enjoy your time. There is a new building with seating for those who bring their own food. Small hill, short runs, relatively busy, but close to the city. Used to have a seasons pass every year when I was 11-14 y/o and loved it.

Paul Mc Farlane

Nice Place. Been once. Now living so close my second home to be.lol

Justin Villeneuve

At snow valley they have great hills but I can’t say that about the chair lifts. They let all of their people like the kids village go first.( priority) today because of this I waited half hour in line when there wasn’t that many people.

Mark Woo

Great setup/layout. Great kids program. Love the Roaring fireplaces and bar.

Tishara Loucks

Just spent two hours here tubing and it was awesome! Got 4 runs in which is understandable as it did get busier near the end. …

Maria D.

The skiing was great, but the staff was generally very unfriendly. They were COVID Nazis. We were not greeted upon enter, but rather, Covid restrictions were firmly imposed on us. Attendants at the slopes were on "mask duty". My nose was showing (no covered) while on a lift, and seconds before getting off lift, attendant said "cover your nose!" People were just very rude and it did put a damper on the skiing experience for me and my 10 friends who went.

Y Zhou

We had group booking for a 75 mins ski lesson, the instructor helped us for like 15 mins max, then we were left alone. The adventure hill were packed with people with little room for training. Not recommend. Try Horseshoe’s beginner program, much better.

Kerwin Wong

Opening day was great. Not too busy and everyone being respectful and careful of each other.

Arvin A

First time visiting. Overcrowded, no place to change and generally a stressful experience. Will not be coming back.

Burgerboy

Very fun! I got a free trip here from a random draw! Smacked my head on a garbage can on the Snoopy hill doing a wide turn. Still will go back!

ABIN JOSEPH

Really enjoyed the time over here. The staff is friendly and more helping in nature. You have to see the climate and make sure everything is open. It all depends on cliamate. They provide rentals for skiing and snowboards and provide different packages for learning for newbies.

Paul Hung

One of the closet ski resorts within Toronto. A new Day Lodge added for families and groups that you can bring your own foods.

Allison

We got married at Snow Valley June 2019 and I just wanted to say thank you to all the amazing staff that helped us pull off such an exceptional day! Cam & I can not thank you enough! At first, we didn't know Snow Valley even hosted weddings but we are so glad we found them on our venue search. Their prices are amazing, and they offer a couple different customizable packages to suit any couple. If their prices don't win you over their customer service will! Snow Valley staff members (in the wedding sector ie. Peter, Lisa, Karen, Jenn + behind the scenes members) are the kindest, most patient and accommodating people you will meet in the wedding industry I swear. Their food is amazing and their desserts are even more delicious. The venue completely transforms into a beautiful lush green resort for your spring/summer wedding. I am sure it looks gorgeous in the fall as well. So much space for guests to mingle, and we loved having the different rooms for each part of the day rather than cramming everyone and every event into one space. If you are getting married in Barrie, and looking for the perfect venue, I promise you that you will not regret working with Snow Valley.

Cameron Hayton

Perfect family ski resort. Great place to bring kids (and rusty dads) to learn. Nice easy gentle slopes and tons of friendly staff to help.

1 S

Came here for my first time skiing. It’s a lovely place with amazing staff members who are always happy to help. The price isn’t high and the location is great as it is closer than blue mountain. They have a variety of difficulties in terms of slopes. Their rental equipment is in good condition. In addition, they run a course to teach beginners how to ski or snowboard. Highly recommended! The place is booming with great positive vibes.

Paul Beriault

Great family-friendly resort. Good for snowboarding. Nice selection of runs for for Ontario. But if you're going to the snowboard Park bring your skates. The jumps usually have too much kicker which is common in the east but dangerous if you really like to hit them hard like your suppose to. I'm giving them five stars because they are family friendly. There's snowboard instruction in groups really sucks. they had the kids go down with one foot in the binding on the Bunny Hill over and over. Considering most injuries for newbies happen with one foot in the binding, it seems foolish to protract this part of learning.

Andrew Oosterhoff

It's a public hill, but seems more like a private one. Very nice runs at this place. It's Ontario, so you're not going to get mountains. But if you accept that, this place is great. The chalet is beautiful, too. They've got a really cozy area beside the cafeteria with two wood-burning fireplaces, which was a pleasant surprise.

Cecilia Vong

Staff are great and friendly. The lifts ( carpet ) was super slippery one day and other people and I kept on slipping on it and got injured. There wasn't anyone on the bottom to help. The lift kept on stopping and would take like 5 minutes to finally reach the top. There were many people on the hills just sitting there so I would have to avoid them repeatedly. The food was very expensive. I would recommend more staff on the bottom of lifts.

Bruh

This is trash LMAOOOOO ???????????? It is so far away we only got 6 hours of skiing ????

Muhammad Ashfaq

Great place for beginners, pros and everyone in between. I went just before it was closed due to the lock down and the instructors were good at teaching.

Mark Kofman

Many lanes were luck of snow and/or closed. Chalet is amazing, food pretty standard, choice of beers good. Taking in account the weather conditions (freezing rain), in general we enjoyed :)

1) Many of these comments say that the place is good for beginners and people who are learning how to ski or snowboard, but that's only in terms of the height of the hills. The workers are NOT, in any way, helpful if you are a beginner. All they do is yell and then get frustrated if you don't get it right the first time around. 2) The workers are racist. If you are a visible minority, you will endure racism in some way, shape or form, and it will not be hard to detect. With that being said, if you're a visible minority, don't waste your money here, the racist employees will ruin your experience. 3) I watched two older employees mock the beginners and then laugh at the fact that they couldn't get it. It's ridiculous how none of the workers have any patience to teach people who PAY for the service. Absolutely ridiculous. 4) They do NOT reiterate the rules at all, and then as soon as you do something wrong or what they consider "unacceptable," they will not hesitate to kick you out. Lines of communication seem to be very very poor at Snow Valley, since there is a lot of inconsistency between what each worker says. 5) I was born and raised in Canada, as were all of the people that I went with, but considering not a single one of us were white, the workers spoke to us as if we were five year old children and didn't know how to speak a single word in English... what ignorant idiots. 6) The workers have no filter... AT ALL. If you bring up an issue to them and try to prove a point, they WILL talk back and they WILL be rude on top of it. Clearly they weren't taught how to be a good employee and provide people with good experiences. All I can say is don't waste your money here. You'll go into the place with fake smiling faces from the employees, just to overhear them making fun of the guests who are not experienced. They are rude, racist, and ignorant. Absolute worst first experience. Will definitely not be going back AND will never recommend the place to anyone, especially not people who aren't white.

This place garbage i paid 500 bucks and we got 1 hour apperantly you pay 700 for 2 hours,

박재범

Nice hills for little kids to learn and experienced people to ride down. Many hills for different skill levels

Gordon MacNay

Great first time here today, lived in Barrie since 1997, why drive anywhere else when this gem is 10 minutes away?

Edward Daniel Tyrcz

Went for snow tubing. Staff are very friendly. Have had a great time with my daughter on several visits

Regan MacInnis

Amazing place to learn to ski! Instructors are great and welcoming! Programs and private lessons available for all ages.

Francesca Arkley

This is a great place to learn how to ski or snowboard. They have lots of instructors and a variety of option for lessons. My children tried the discover skiing package which included rental, 75 minute lessons and a lift ticket for the beginner lifts for the whole day. and it was only $59 for each child.

Richard Fernandez

Loved it Toonie Tuesday is great tubing for $2 it's so fun!

sunny days

Nice place.

Julie Millan

What a fun time we had tubing at Snow Valley. There are several runs at various heights. Staff were amazing. So kind and patient with the kids. Cafeteria in the tubing section is decent but not nearly as nice as the ski lodge.

Infamous Man

Wonderful place for amateur skiers, as well as tubers. Late season passes (Feb.) can be quite cheap, so keep an eye out for that. Also, a lift ticket is roughly $25 at ski shows, so that's a plus. ($40+ at other comparable resorts.)

anshul gupta

Super fun filled place. Easy to acquire the tickets.Easy to get boarded with the equipments and the gears coz of the friendly staff at each moment. The shoes are quite heavy so please have good food before starting. Well maintained skiing zones and tubing areas. Can get around without much hassle. The food zone is too comfy and has fire ???? place up make you warm for a quick break or towards the end. The food is delicious starting from coffee to salads and waffles, burgers etc... Clean washrooms and affordable rates overall .

Yu Chen

Close to Toronto. Nice staff.

Jason Lessard

Snow tubing is great. Even with large March break lines the staff got everyone looked after in a timely fashion. Wouldn't hesitate going back or recommending it to friends or family

Karen Manayan LeBlanc

it was spending time with family and friends here....

Hadi J

Snowshoeing here while ever other activities are closed was really entertaining. I recommend renting the shoe if you do not have one. The best part of the walking was the fantastic scenery on top of the hill.

Demeaning Staff. Disrespectful Management. Doesn’t Follow COVID-Protocol. My family and I booked our annual trip to Snow Valley, a place that we have grown to love and look forward to going to because of their Customer/Family Friendly staff. This year it is quite apparent that the resort is under new management. First and foremost, to enter the Lodge you are to show your Passport and Photo Identification, which is the government-issued COVID Protocol. I was let into the building to use the washroom with my family without question. No passport and photo identification was required. After a day on the hill, we then proceeded as a family to experience dinner inside the Lodge. The kitchen staff by accident incorrectly made our dinner order and give our family an additional 15 minutes due to the admitted error. Within a couple of minutes, Andy the General Manager (aka Peter) DEMANDED my family to leave. His tone of voice was overbearing, intimating especially to a woman and 2 young kids who were petrified and asked me to leave immediately. As a mother and woman, I teach my children to never let a man speak to them in such away. How dare you hire staff that showcases machismo behavior in front of other customers and staff. Your front-of-office staff is a direct representation of what the business stands for. Patriarchy. Male Chauvinist. Bigoted. Slanderous. All my family asked for was an extra 10 minutes which was 5 minutes less than what we were given to use by the kitchen staff. Please drive the extra 30 minutes to experience what a Ski Resort should be. You can Ski or Snowboard ALL DAY at Mount St. Louis Moonstone for 7 Hours at $85.00, Horseshoe Valley for 7 hours $89.00 vs. ONLY 4 Hours at Snow Valley for $66.00 – you are paying LESS per hour with more hills (Mount St. Louis 30 Open Runs & Horseshoe 17 Open Runs). For an additional 20–25-minute drive you are getting better customer service, PAYING LESS, and able to ski/snowboard on more runs! Do yourself a favor.

Peter Xian

great place to spend time as intermediates and the food was cheap! lunch speical for 2 + 2 hot chocolates are less than $15. Can't beat this! Customer service is great as well. Loved it!

Naveen Rafa

Had a memorable trekking experience with friends here. Equipments provided were of good quality and the trek was safe and challenging enough at the same time. 10/10 would recommend to others looking for a fun hangout and some physical activity at the same time.

Andrew Li

Smaller resort. Close to highway. Cheaper lift tickets; 2,4,6 hours lift tickets available, can start any time you like. Much less crowded than the bigger resorts. Good casual runs. Family friendly. Friendly staff. Comfortable and lodge themed canteen sitting area c/w several fireplace both indoor and outdoor. Lifts are really SLOW tho.

Mona Javanbakht

Good place for family and kids.

Himani Bhasin

I went here for snow tubing and I was so happy to see that they have huge hills. They also have “the peak” hill and its really long & high. What an amazing experience. This place is one of the best for snow tubing in ONTARIO.

Julia Olaru

Incompetent and rude staff! Refused our 5 year old to go on tubes due to his height, while we’ve been here last year and our son was 1 Year younger and shorter and they let him go on tubes. Driving 1 hr just to turn us around on Christmas Eve is just evil! Review your policies and act accordingly! Compliments to Taylor the manager that was not able to explain on how we’ve been allowed here last year! Not coming back here again!

roza z

Our 4 years old is learning ski here and Instrustors are amazing! I like everything about Snowvalley!

Jammin' With The B's

Best tubing hands down.....big hills=big fun.....this is a must try.

Ahmed Sagarwala

I've been snowboarding for about 4 years now. I'm not advanced -- I just go 2-3 times a year and rent my equipment. My wife and I went over. Snow Valley was recommended to us by my cousin. It took about 1.25 hours to get there from downtown Toronto (we had to stop because of a big train crossing). The hill (not mountain) is nicely tucked away behind Barrie. It has 3 nice blue runs and about 4 green that we were using. The runs take about 2 minutes to go down. It's great for beginners and novices, but is lacking for bigger runs. Overall, a great place to head to with the family or friends that are just starting up. The slope is average. The reason I'm giving this place 4-stars is the good customer service my wife and I received. Staff is experienced and courteous. Equipment is in good shape and they have lots of it. Great instructors too.

Devika Buchanan

ITS AWESOME good hills for all type of skiers !! The chalet has great food and not much of a line, non of the ski lifts had much of a line, you need to just go on a good day. I've been their three times and now I want to ski a lot!

Ray's Of Life MushManRick

Great place to visit and have some fun with family or friends. I've never had a bad experience here, nor can I with the incredible experts around whom seem to always be in a good mood. Thank you once again Snow Valley for the inexpensive leisure for the amount of memories I'll always have; with my son, Rickey Jr.

Lynn

Very reasonably priced and great variety of runs for people with different skill levels at each chair. However, the offloading area for each chairlift was a bit steep and icy which makes it very difficult for to safely offload (esp for boarders). Saw lots of people take some nasty falls.

Gerald McFall

Had a GREAT TIME at Snow Valley! Hills are in Great Shape! Thank you Snow Valley!

DL Engineering

Disappointed at max. Last year came here and my 4 years old did enjoy the place. This year when he’s 5 and even more taller they didn’t allow us to ride. Never coming here again. Spoke with three managers and all of them refused. Hopefully owners will see how their team don’t want to do sales.

Dmitri Paykin

Visited the Snow Valley Ski resort on Dec. 28th., 2021 for a night skiing. Had a lot of fun even though by the end of the day at +2'C the snow condition was not perfect. Thanks a lot to all the employees: phone center reps, rentals, ski instructors, paramedics, lifts team! Everybody is welcoming, friendly, positive, and helpful!

Jia C

Very good beginner lanes. The family lane is long and wide and it is a slow zone. You can practice really comfortably.

Madylearn AsWeGrow

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Great hills. Great place to have family fun. Chalet (food, rest & washrooms) right beside the tubing slope which make it so convenient. Kids zone for those 42” below is just in front of chalet. Slope gets you about 45km/hr sledding. That’s allot of speed for Adrenalin fun. They have tube stoppers at the end so it’s safe. Parking is free. Check their web for daily pricing. Little less choices for food but enough to get by for a fun day. You can bring your own food and leave it on a table inside chalet. Big slope has tube lift. Sit on your tube and lift will drag you individually off to the peak. No lift for kids zone. I see good slopes for ski and snow boarding. We were not able to try as we end up having so much fun with our son with their family size tube and single tubes. Lots of parking available onsite. Enjoy safely Hope this review and images is helpful for you. Do drop us a like ???????? many thanks

Richmone John Albano

The place is clean and organized. It was just understaff at times. Needless to say, it’s also cheap. They have many options for activities.

Vasu Shah

Best place to visit for snow tubing. Enjoyed 2 hours of unlimited tubing in the weekend. Worth to go and spend your money.

Mariana Matsiuk

This is probably one of the best snow tubing parks in Ontario! Everything is great except lines on a weekend. They don’t sell tickets online for the weekend,so get ready to spent an hour or even more in a line to get one. They should consider also having a separate cashier for kids zone, cause not everybody goes tubing, and you would just have to stay in one line.

Scott Howells

Great family ski hill. Great instructors for anyone learning to ski. Mix of hills for every level of skier or snowboarder.

Leo Vissotto

Great hills for ski and snowboard. Lots of fun with snow tubbings

Terry Archer

A great place to learn to ski/snowboard. The hills are quite gentle and family friendly. Because the membership prices are so reasonable, it is often very busy during non-school hours. If possible, take advantage of a 5x7 pass and enjoy the hills when the kids are in school and adults are working.

Julia Tarini

Just got home from an amazing day at Snow Valley, and I cannot say enough good things about this place! The runs were well-groomed, the staff were friendly, the food was great (as usual) and the drinks were cold. I was also impressed with the organization of their ambassadors monitoring the doors. They were Covid compliant, always asking for vaccine certs and ID each time we entered the building, while also coordinating our seating with the hostess. For anyone looking for a respectable, fun and family-friendly resort, I will always recommend Snow Valley!

Dubravko Zgrablić

We've tried most of the ski resorts within few hours of driving around Toronto, and we keep on coming here. It's not perfect, but it's closer to that goal than any other we've been to in Ontario. And it's reasonably close, too. Per se, this is not a decisive factor for us, but it's a convenient bonus.

Victoria Paykin

Nice and easy to navigate thier website with convenient booking. Great discounts for night midweek tubing and no long lanes for a lift at that time. Plenty of well maintained slides suitable starting from toddlers to adults. Big, very clean and always available washrooms. Nice personal. The site is digital and contactless. Freshly made hot snacks are available on site. I'd really recommend it. We've enjoined so much!

Jordan Cherkewich

Great beginner hill. Perfect distance for a day trip from Toronto. Fair prices for the lift tickets and food.

Cameron Will

Good size ski hill for beginner and intermediate skiers.

Elijah Lee

Was a great skiing place had lots of fun with my family and just a great experience in general

M. S.

Very unfortunate that this place has very rude and extremely unprofessional staff! I asked for help and no one wants to work, they sent me from one place to another. Girls at the rentals are so rude and disrespectful, standing giggling and mocking customers around, screaming at people opening the doors to shut it down like little brats!! You work in a ski resort, put a coat on!!! Ski instructors are also very unprofessional! I don’t recommend this place and I advise you to run fast!!!

Hanny Mulumba

It gives you the thrill and good for family

Sam Varghese

Pretty decent hill for beginners and intermediates. You do find a LOT of kids - be cautious! Buying tickets online a few days earlier works out to be much cheaper. They also have a good cafeteria/bar.

Manju Mohan

It was super cool. People were super friendly. And an amazing spot for snow tubing and skiing. They have seperate spot for small children.

manas investments

Supperb we enjoyed full day rises.

Alan Czajkowski

Great ski and snowboard hill for beginners to learn on various inclines but advanced skiers and snowboarders will get bored easily. This hill seems like it would be great for elementary school ski trips to get kids involved in winter activities. Wi-Fi was notoriously bad in all of the buildings, something that should not be an issue in these modern times, a skilled network technician can easily install an impressive Wi-Fi network here at a reasonable cost, especially because I work remotely, was roaming in this area, and had no data access from my mobile service carrier. The cafeteria food needs more healthy options, people have expanded their tastes beyond burgers, hotdogs, and fries.

Fei Gong

This is the best ski resort for the whole family. My two year old could play at the toddler zone. My five year old went to the ski and play class for age 3-6. My parents might have fun at the snow tubing. My wife and I could take turns for skiing.

Alicia Doxtator

This was our first time ever going here and we were so excited. It was honestly everything we had hoped for and more. Kids loved the night snowtubing, and we all enjoyed snowshoeing. We rented out equipment as it was our first time snowshoeing ever and it made it less stressful for us. We also paid in advance for the hot chocolate and donuts. That is one thing you can’t go without getting when going. My kids found that 10 donuts were too much so maybe next time I will get one for the two of them to share. We can’t wait to go back. The staff was so helpful and helped make our experience as fun as it was. Also want to add that they did follow all the rules to make sure everyone was safe and felt safe. I would recommend this place for anyone to go.

Jonathan Rajalingam

Wonderful little ski resort - great for families with a decent range of slopes as well as tubing and snow shoeing on site. It's Ontario so the runs are not long but still fun. Ski school instructors are very patient and more than once have they given my son tips even though he wasn't in a lesson/group. Food a little overpriced perhaps, but no more so than other resorts.

Nick

Overall the hills are pretty good for a small ski resort and the park staff are nice and welcoming but one thing that I didn't really like about this place was that you couldn't ski/board the side trails those are probably the most fun areas of ski resorts, I skied through one on the side of the park and got stopped by the skimobile guys that sit there all day doing nothing he told me to stay out of there or else you'll get banned from the resort that seems pretty harsh from not even knowing that you can't go through those, I saw so many other people going through those and no one stopped them but of course when I go through they threaten to ban me from the resort... I'm not saying the resort is bad for that but I'm just saying the people up on the hills actually doing something are nice and polite but the people sitting down driving their skimobiles are so harsh when they have the easiest job on the resort.

Shri Prakash Kunwar

Overall very nice place for snow activity,we visited couple of times specially for snow tubing. Few things which I didn’t liked are : 1. There was a bit of wait time for tickets and staff was not upfront about the wait time , initially said the wait time is 20 mins however it took around one and half hour to get the tickets. 2. For kids zone you have buy 2 tickets one for the kid and one for the adult , not sure what’s the logic behind that . Once got tickets it was definitely fun .

Dee Dee

Great experience. Kids loved it there. You can get big tubes for up to 6 people on Fridays.

Alex Song

Very good for beginners compared with horseshoe valley. If you are beginner, you can start with highland trail, then snoopy the Garfield and family. The equipment can be better though

Mike M.

This is a good place to bring your kids to learn to ski, but beware 95% of your time is spent waiting in a lift line or sitting on the lift as another kid either can't get on or can't get off the lift. This is a good beginner hill. Staff are friendly, prices exorbitant; first place I've been that charges for a glass of water (25 cents). Lift lines long and need to be a bit more organization. Nothing that can't be fixed with better management. Not a bad place for Southern Ontario.

Matt L

Little crowded for the size of the hill, but can't help it, good place!

Sarah Taylor

Snow Valley Ski Resort is not just for winter! They have a beautiful location and venue, for such things as weddings, family reunions, corporate events or any special occasion you have!

Samantha D'Souza

Nice family ski hill Good for beginners Good prices Most years part of the school coupon program which is fantastic

Hadi Milanloo

My wife and I really liked it. We went for snowshoeing and tubing, and it was fabulous. We definitely recommend it :)

L Cla

Fantastic Hill for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Lots of green level runs all across the hill. 2 chalet buildings for food, lockers, and just general interior space. Outdoor patio areas with a fire pit to stay warm. Located at a dead end off of a road allows for lots of parking on site.

Sam Cui

Very happy with their friendly staff. Took a good friend's family to ski for their first time, Taylor in the rental section patiently helped them to choose the right size boots and fitted the boots on. And the instructors really did a good job and my first-timer friends proudly announced "we can ski know!"

Jonathan Lau

This is the perfect place to start skiing. I took my daughter here for her first time skiing and she had a blast. Ticket redemption from online reservation was quick. That being said, three stars because of the following: 1. Food selection is limited. The quality and taste is not that great, however, taste and quality is subjective in nature. 2. I was not permitted to bring in a small bag (shoulder pack) into the restaurant. My small bag was used to carry 3 set of ski straps, wallet and keys, however, yet females were/are permitted to bring in a purse (double standards). The staff at the front was not able to articulate why I cannot bring in my pack and she suggested that I leave it at the front door for this one time only and she instructed sternly "this one time only, next time you can't (which I had not choice and did so)!! I completely there are COVID guidelines, but common, it's a small bag to carry my belongings. In summary, go for skiing and not for the accommodations.

Vlada N

Awesome place! The restaurant is a little strange.. letting people take alcohol drinks outside which does not seem safe. But the snow activities are amazing! Great staff! Super helpful.

Darren Wong

Amazing and engaging staff members on and off the hills. Very friendly and always trying to engage the kids. Hills were great for novice and intermediate skiers (didn't try the advanced ones). Great location only 1 hour north of Richmond Hill (GTA area). Will visit again!

Megan Law

We brought our son snowboarding today around 4:00. All we wanted was the $8 pass for the Kidzvillage for him to continue learning how to snowboard and gain confidence. I have been bringing him here for the past 3 years, going up the carpet with him, guiding him down the hill, repeat. Today, one female attendant brought to our attention that we needed a lift pass to be on the hill. News to us, as again, I have been bringing him here for the past 3 years and have never bought a ticket for myself. Not 5 minutes later, another associate, male this time, who was completing his shift, came up to us and repeated the need for a pass to be on the hill. We didn't have any gear on, we were in light coats and hiking boots with no intentions of snowboarding ourselves. My partner went to go purchase a ticket to get everyone off our backs. They told him he needed to buy a $25 pass just for us to WALK up and down the hill. I went to the ticket booth and requested the $8 pass for the Kidzvillage as its advertised for all ages. My partner and I shared the ticket. We took turns going up the carpet, handing each other the ticket when we made it back down to the bottom. The first female attendant who spoke to us, whom I found the rudest, commented to my partner about us sharing the ticket and nothing further. As it was my turn to go up with our son, another attendant, male again, was standing at the top and came up to me and said "I understand there's an issue with a ticket?" I replied with, "no, I have one right here. We were told we need a ticket to be on the hill." He then educates me that we are not allowed to share said ticket for liability purposes and a number on the ticket traces back to the original purchaser. And then says that the tickets are for the use of the carpet because it is considered a lift and we wouldn't need a ticket for the hill especially during weekends at night because it is less busy. So, my question is, what is the correct answer? Why was I harassed by 3 different people in the matter of an hour while trying to take my 6 year old beginner snowboarding? Because of all the attention I was given, I took my son's snowboard off and left. There is some grey area here that your employees need to educate themselves on before approaching the clientele.

Leonardo

I have been going here for years, This is the hill where I learned to ski starting at the kids hills and a few years ago graduating from the hardest hills in the park. The chalet is nice and the huge fireplaces are warm and set a great ski hill feel. If you just starting out or want to take the family out for a peaceful trip I definitely suggest this resort. Highland trail best trail

Winter The Wolf

Came here with some basic skills for a private lesson, the instructor was friendly, fun, and knew how to push me to the limits. I now feel more confident on the slopes. Thanks.

Alana P

Snow tubing was a blast! I especially enjoyed being able to witness such a beautiful sunset at the top.

David Hosey

Decent enough for the beginner or intermediate rider

Lawrence Horton

Amazing family oriented resort. My kids loved this place. We went almost everyday last year. Friendly staff that made an effort to know your name and make you feel welcome. Also great summer hiking.

Eric Lee

I bought 4 tickets for 2 hours unlimited holiday. But due to an outage with their ticket machine, the operator could not determine whether my ticket was valid even though the time of purchase was clearly there. I had to leave after 1 hour of riding. Left mad and frustrated.

Melissa Bernier

Perfect family fun!

Giri Chauhan

Great experience today! Super fun tubing to do with friends and family. The staff there are so amazing, such sweet people, who take care of you well. Very professionally done, and alot of safety. Great works guys

James Solomon

Best place to ski near Toronto compared to Skyloft and Horseshoe. Quick drive, great children's program and awesome runs!

Umair Mumtaz

I am passionate about snow tubing, have tried all Tubing facilities in Ontario, This is the best one with full of thrill experience.

Vartan Ghazarian

Small Slopes good for newbies

Devon Irwin

Went to go tubing with my children.. my son was just a hair over 42 inches and he was not allowed to tube. I get the height requirement for safety reasons but even being just over 42 inches he was not allowed.. I would have completely understood if I was talked to like a human being but instead the staff member was rude and ignorant to us for absolutely no reason.

Mathuri Thanabalan

I went to Snow Valley Ski Resort through a recommendation from a friend. This was my first time skiing in a very long time so I was pretty nervous. I enrolled in Discover Skiing #2 (for people who have experienced a bit of skiing before) and had a lot of fun! Great instructors! The staff overall were amazing as as well!

Mike G

Great place. Able to get uber in the area which is great for those who don't drive. Prices are fair and the hills are good. Only thing they need to work on is the food. Not the best.

Tara Withers

Nice ski hill with a lot of runs. Great for families and beginner to intermediate skiers. Convenient location. Wouldn’t recommend for advanced/expert skiers.

C. Jeffery

Tubing was awesome! So much fun for the entire family! (6 yrs - 46 yrs) we will be back ????

Adriana Flores Guevara

Fun place for the kids.

Fahad Almatham

Great activities for whole family. Friendly staff. Amazing food

Aidin Behnood

Great resort, Amazing staff. Will definitely go back again.

Pavly Gusta

Snow tubing here is so much fun. Great for taking kids out.

Simon B

I went here last Saturday weekend for skiing while prices at times can be expensive I had a great time there spending the whole day there skiing great for learning how to go skiing

M P

Rating is not for skiing, which could be phenomenal for all I know. Went tubing because this place advertises itself as having the "best" tubing experience in Ontario. I guess tubing in Ontario must be pretty bad. It was actually overpriced and nothing special, and became boring after the first round. However it could be suitable for tourists who expect less value for their money and are looking for a Canadian experience. The cafeteria in the chalet had decent food and portion sizes, and the prices were not too unreasonable. Very few healthy or vegetarian options. You are allowed to bring your own food. There are limited lockers available to rent (need a toonie) as well as snow pants (~15$), though I did not need them.

Brian Muir

Kids had a great time

Mitesh Patel

Great fun! Went for snow tubing. Took a while to get tickets but it was worth waiting. If you are going there first time please ensure to dress properly including winter shoes and hand gloves. I would surely recommend this place to hangout with friends. Thank you team for your wonderful service.

Josef Josef

This place was great!! The only problem was the tubers and the snow shoe people. Those people sure are annoying! They don't deserve to be here! Make a resort specifically for those animals!

Olga Sel

Line-up to tubing was 2, 5 hours. There is no a separate line for Kids zone, so kids have to stand in line outdoors for 2, 5 hours. There is no lodge to wait indoors. Portable washrooms are very dirty. I will not come back, I won't recommend it to my friends.

Steven Vallis

Awesome staff, very reasonable prices. Great hill for beginners to intermediate skill level. Tube park great for kids both young and older

Amy Nguyen

This is the good place for beginners. Lots of green hills for you to practice. Price is decent and staffs are super friendly. Recommended you come early an hour because the line to get your ticket is long.

SHREY GUPTA

One of the Best skiing places

Gwen Roy

Prices are pretty expensive especially for the food. But the hills are always decent and the tubing is fun... Love the Fire pits to warm up and the donut stop !

France C

We went snow tubing recently. Proper snow hills and the lines move pretty quickly. Overall, the price is fairly competitive and helmets are optional (but since safety is a concern of mine, we always rent them for just over $10 each). The fries in the food court are good.

Bob Meier

Smaller resort but very personable. Great staff and customer service. Lots of fun!

Justice Otto

Good value for your money . Relatively close to Toronto. I only negative is some of the staff. They take their so seriously it almost ruins the fun

gillian elliott

Staff are super polite and friendly. Everything is very well controlled for covid. Great for young families. Lots of “green” hills.

Josh Ciesielski

Great backyard local hill. Only problem is the staff/lift attendants/ ski patrol, always harrassing myself and my nephew when minding our own. If staff would chill out and leave us alone, it would be a much better experience.

Mendel Kotlarsky

Snow Tubing is great for all sizes and ages.

Meghan Farwell

It was affordable to go and snow shoe for th day. The snowshoe rental girls were all very nice. It looked like it was extremely busy in the afternoon as we were leaving. The tubing hills looked like a lot of fun!

Ch Zhang

First time skiing in Canada! Great day with family and friends

David Arscott

We had a snowboarding lesson booked and we were running late! When we arrived they had our tickets ready and were very helpful in getting the lesson started quickly. My spouse really enjoyed her instructor and she became more confident on her board! Great hills for learning or shredding some gnar :) Only 1hr from Toronto!! Perfect for day trips or night skiing. Very friendly staff! Can’t wait to go back!!! Thank you for the excellent customer service and making us feel like family.

Uriel Trahtemberg

Totally 5 star tubing park (with a small caveat). The place is excellent for what it's designed - a wonderful tubing experience. The place is clean and well maintained, there's enough staff, they are nice, and run a smooth operation - you don't feel like there's wasted time or bad logistics. They run it safely as well which was good to see. The price is reasonable. We just had a loooot of fun! There are 13 chutes, very high! It was awesome. Caveat: the kidz zone for smaller than 42" is cramped and quite low, so bear that in mind. We were there Sunday at 930 am so it was early and the lineup to enter and to the lifts was short. As the place fills it starts to be slower. We did 4 runs in about 1 hour, which is quite fast all things considered. Bottom line: bear in mind the logistics, and definitely come, it's super super fun.

M Hurlburt

Wonderful family ski hill. The staff are friendly and helpful. The slopes are very "family" oriented. Tremendous for the beginners. Excellent ski school and grading course for making sure the brand new skiers are safe for the day! My daughter says the poutine is the best in the Barrie area! ????

Yuan L

Great place for people who just started. staffs are very attentive and helpful. Only one thing is I met a douche who decide to blame me who was 20 meters away at that time for his wifes injury on her tow. What a shame.

Adam D

Had a great time tubing here. Friendly staff, plenty of different activities for the family plus a cafe and bar. Well worth the visit.

brin brown

Wednesday night was good not to busy and was bit mild too

Sundip S

Great place for beginners. Reasonable prices. Must visit at least for snow tubing. Thank you Diana for the amazing ski lessons. Friendly staff. We had a lot of fun.

Keval Kamdar

As me and my friends were planning to do something different for family day so we thought of SNOW VALLEY SKI RESORT... The experience was very outstanding, fantastic, fabulous, marvelous..... We reached on time over there... We were doing it for first time so we had to take lessons (discover ski 1). Instructor (Emma) was very caring and dedicated.. Overall it was a great experience, learning and doing experience.. Planning to visit every weekend... Great place to spend time with friends and family..

Nick F

Always have an amazing time and the fireworks were awesome!!!

Ying Huang

The staff in rental department is super nice and helpful. One of our party’s ski was broken. They rented us one for free. Unfortunately there is not much snow and some of the runs are closed, we still had a lot of fun. Definitely will go back again!

john peck

Positives: The hills are great and its a wonderful location Negatives: Cost, organization. We went on family day. Long lines and not enough staff on for what you would think is a busy day. People were lined up at the top of the hill and they changed the rules on number of people who can go down at once without warning. Caused massive confusion at top and forced people to line up again. Only two people at top for letting people go and leaving runs with no one on them and lines getting longer. We will not go back

Louise Trombetta

I love this resort. This resort has the best beginner and novice facilities I've ever seen. There's three gentle beginner slopes in well designed incremental difficulties. The full size hills are fairly short, but high quality, offering a variety of terrain challenges from easy to intermediate. They are well designed, well maintained and make the best use of what is a pretty small hill. We went during the week, so there were minimal wait -times at any lift, despite the place being fairly busy. One chair lift is modern, but the others are pretty old, but work fine. The staff were all pleasant and attentive. They are vigilant about maintaining safe operation. I loved the main lodge, its straight out of the 1950's. Very cozy and quaint with open fireplaces, but well equipped and comfortable. Dislikes? The hill is pretty small, even by modest Ontario resort standards. . Beautiful runs, but they end too soon. The was only one person selling lift tickets. She very pleasant, patient and friendly, but obviously overworked. They needed a second person selling lift tickets, in the mornings. If you're an intermediate or expert skier, or if you dislike quaint old surroundings, you'll hate this place. But if you're a beginner/ novice, you'll love it. I brought my 11 year old son here. Blue Mountain absolutely terrified him, but this resort was so pleasant, easy and friendly it helped him learn, and he now loves skiing. For that reason I love this resort and am most grateful for it.

Nicole Ratti

Great variety of green, blues and blacks at each lift and lots of opportunity for new and experienced boarders to practice. I will say though, the exits from the chairlifts are extremely steep and very icy. Shocking number of people (especially snowboarders) taking some ugly falls getting off all three lifts. Something Snow Valley could definitely work on, it’s excessive at any skill level and the slope could be brought down a bit!

Liisa Jay

Fun day taking the kids for their first skiing lesson. Highly recommend Snow Valley for beginners!

T Bennett

Staff super friendly enjoyed the day tubing, hills were perfect for the day.

Sarah B

We went snow tubing on a Pure Country U Tube Wednesday. It costs $15 per person for unlimited tubing from 3pm - 9pm. We spent 5 hours there and got to go about 20 times. It was a blast!

Jayne Zavitski

Great family friendly ski resort. Awesome tubing hills and fantastic night skiing. Don't forget the warm crackling fire in the chalet while enjoying the restaurant food.

Darcy Atkinson

Hill was a little small, but great parking!

Kurt Rietz

We came 3 days to the resort. The first was tubing. About CAD 4 per go on bulk tickets. We wanted limited relaxed fun the snow and that's what we got. Safe, well organized and controlled, maybe a bit much for our adventurous spirits. I recommend taking goggles - it is fast enough for the wind-chill to be too much. Skiing is expensive at the best of times. But we got a 2 for 1 coupon from the hotel in Barrie for Discover Skiing level 1 or 2. we ended up paying about CAD95 for my son and I for 4 hours with 1 1/2 hours training, boots, skis/board and helmet. We took the 3pm classes and ended up being the only people in the group lessons - me on skis, my son on a snow board. The trainers were young, but knew what we needed at our level, instruction was good and useful. The slopes are short, but there are several lift options and about 15 downhills with varying degrees of difficulty. We started on the easy - green slopes and advanced to the blue. I think our favorite was the "Family" slope - wide, gentle and safe for beginners. We could just enjoy going all over the place. I would recommend this for beginners - no pressure, not too crowded and about the right level of choice. We had skied a few times before and the refresher courses were good and fun to practice. We came away having had a good experience overall.

Just got back from a three day weekend at Snow Valley Ski Resort. First impressions were great. Unfortunately, on the Snow Valley website it specifically stated rentals were beginning Saturday February 20th. This was a lie and rentals were given out on Friday the 19th which was unfortunate because we scrambled to buy gear for Friday. On Saturday, we showed up on time for out ticket slot. Upon our arrival, a line up of cars progressed out of the resort onto the road. After almost an hour in the line, Snow Valley workers came out to direct traffic. Rentals on Saturday were also a NIGHTMARE. Waited 2 and a half hours to rent one pair of skis. Rentals were very disorganized and lead to an unpleasant experience. We understand ski hills on Saturdays are busy, but a short line for rentals turned into half of our $50 ticket time being wasted. Luckily, the scenery and beautiful weather made up for the very disorganized and lazy staff.

Came for tubing during March break. The kids had an awesome time. The long lines moved through quickly, and the staff members were all extremely friendly and polite. We'll definitely come back next year.

Beware! The tubing lift is VERY unsupervised! My son went up and not knowingly stood to close to the ramp and was knocked off his feet by me in the tube! The staff that works there was a young kid, how was obviously not concerned with safety. When I asked him why he wasnt moving people out of the way , he said " I didnt see him" . His job is to ensure safety. The superior was not concerned. Beware! Luckily I rented my son a helmet. This could have been fatal!

Good: Small, friendly, convenient, nice runs and trails for Barrie area Need Improvement: - Parking staff allows double parking. Your car may be stuck in parking lot when you want to leave and staff is not helpful to find owner of blocking car. Resort should tow offending cars - Lift lines get really long. 20-25 mins waiting time per run, especially when ski schools get priority on lifts versus other guests. More guest waiting in line than on the slopes

Had a great time!!

Conveniently located, easy to access, friendly and helpful staff (everywhere from the parking lot to the hot chocolate stand), streamlined in-take for ticket and rentals. Overall it's a great experience for young kids and skiers starting out. It doesn't get 5 stars because it's missing what could make it great, like moguls for more advanced skiers (come on, it's not hard to make bumps!)

Great place! Went tubing paid $35 for 2 hours on a Sunday and worth it! Nice few slopes and nice staff

Had a very fun and exciting day

Kids had so much fun today!

Best snow tubing in Ontario. Due to COVID 19 only 3 snow tubing lanes were open which causes some delays on the top of the lanes.

I loved Tubing at Snow Valley. The one thing I absolutely didn't like at all was if you go down THE PEAK it's a SUPER LOOOOOONG Way back. There should be a shortcut or maybe a transportation method. Other than that the lines were great too. (Newcomers, you should go up from the other side it's faster and easier to get to. The lines are great there too!!)

Took the adult kids tubing here in February 2019. They are from the Philippines and have never had an experience like that before. They absolutely loved it! They screamed all the way down, then got right back in line to get pulled in their tube back up to the top again. They went down the hill alone, and in groups of 2 and 3. I thought they would never tire out, but sure enough, they all slept soundly in the car on the way home. What a great way to have fun with the family!

Update: horrible service this time I went. Very nice trainers who actually wanted you to learn and were happy to help. Went there as a beginner and found the people helpful. Obviously the experience varies depending on who you get as a trainer. Went on a Sunday and the rush was fine. Slopes were good and had a variety of levels.

Really amazing experience as a beginner, instructors were patient , caring and encouraging. From being scary at the first beginning to controlling direction and stop on my own, really helpful. The foods canteen staff are nice.

Negative Energy-restaurant servers lack proper service skills. On asking my 30 year old daughter to fetch her id from the car parked someways on the street, they ignored our initial drink order even after repeatedly asking the status. We decided to leave. What childish behavior.

We opened a 2020 ski season in the Snow Valley, - could have enjoyed it to the fullest if not for the frequent lift stops. I don't know the reason, but the lift would stop ridiculously often, - I wonder what was the reason? If it was not technical malfunctioning, then maybe you should review your safety protocols, work towards preventing the incidents, or instruct your stuff how to handle incidents efficiently? We were literally spending more time waiting than going up. I actually saw a guy shoveling the snow in a non-skier area, then going to the booth to activate the lift. That evening things didn't make sense - make sure it is sorted, before people go to Horseshoe, Moonstone or Blue Mountain... Answering the owner's question: It was on Sat, 4 Jan, between 7 - 9pm

Jimmy Burton

Great for people wanting to learn to ski or snowboard. Excellent kids programs. Best tubing in Ontario.

Shawn Thompson

Highly recommend going here.

Always a blast at snow valley. Very friendly staff and patient lift operators. Just be aware that the food is a tad overpriced but that is to be expected at any ski resort.

Clair Lu

My kids love it!

Michael Sirois

They're doing a really good job of keeping people organized and safe. In the morning it wasn't too busy, but by the afternoon many of the long travellers had arrived and at that point we had left. If you are a local, go first thing in the morning to avoid the larger crowds.

Matt Drury

Great place to bring kids that are not too experienced! Staff are helpful an friendly. Trails are kept in good condition. At times it can be a little busy with inexperienced skiers, but good value for the price.

Jackson Chou

nice place for ski, snowboard and tubing !!

We visited Snow Valley Saturday March 1/14. We put our son in the Ski 'n Play from 10-12 in the Kidz Village, he is almost 3 1/2. I was so impressed with the young men and women working with the children. My son was apprehensive and they made him very comfortable and filled him with confidence. After his lesson he was skiing down the small hills. Our other sons also enjoyed the hills at the resort, they are 10 & 11. Everyone at the resort was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be skiing at Snow Valley again.

I wanted to visit Snow Valley with my small kids on half price Mondays(available online) to see if they would enjoy skiing at a good price. They had been given gift cards for Christmas, but we couldn't buy them online before we got to the hill because they won't allow you to pay online with your gift cards... If you just show up the day you want to ski they will NOT honour their prices! Lesson learned, go skiing somewhere that will be helpful and honour something that they offer. Unfortunately, I will be bringing my kids to another hill to learn to ski. Fortunately, there are many ski hills near by.

Awesome place for winter fun; skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing or snow tubing, there's something for everyone! Fun friendly atmosphere, just a beautiful snow covered winter wonderland❤

Ryan Stonier

Steep and fast tubing hills. My only complaint was the long line for the tow rope. But it was Christmas Eve.

Alexey Wool

Came there with my son, drove all the way from Mississauga on Christmas Eve for our annual father son tubing! At the entrance the staff was immediately rude and told us that my son would not be able to go down the hill because of his height! When measured he was at 41,5 with the requirements being 42. This is Christmas Eve we are talking about! The supervisor Rachel did not want to make an exception and turned us away! Great spirit you have Snow Valley! Interesting fact I was here last year and went down hill with my son without any issues! You really should know how to appreciate your clients! Would never return and do not recommend anyone coming here!

Great place!

It was my first time going to snow valley and I had a lot of questions. I spoke to Jason in the rental department and he was amazing. Just super down to earth with great customer service skills. Just because of the interaction we had, I would come back to snow valley ! Just wanted to say thank you Jason ! For your help. Btw my buddies board is perfect now !

Sarah Ryan

Fun ski hill! Great spot to take first time skiers. Tubing park was well laid out & lots of fun too. Pricing was reasonable.

Elva Yayros

Been going to Snow valley for years with the kids and Snow valley always impresses us! The staff are great, chalet is cozy, always something new to discover there! Kids love it.

James Breckenridge

Best ski patrol ski swap location around.

Peter Hardy

Very well organized and lots of staff everywhere to guide the Visitors. Well done Snow Valley. Was in Horseshoe last week and the parking lot was a total mess because they was no parking attendant to assist.

akshay madaan

One of the best place for skiing....lesser wait timings and fast service

My husband and I just got married here this October 10th. We originally were supposed to get married 10-10-2020 but had to postpone because of the pandemic. I have to say the year and a half of planning our big, special day with snow valley was absolutely fantastic. Peter and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure they were on top of all the pandemic guidelines for our day. When we decided on Snow Valley, we loved the chalet feel and being able to get married outside at the bottom of the ski hills. That plus the price was a no brainer for us to choose them for our wedding day. But I have to say, this venue, these people, the food, drinks and service provided went WAY above and beyond our expectations for our wedding. We went ahead with a thanksgiving turkey dinner with soup and pasta to start, the food was by far the best thanksgiving dinner I think any of our guests and ourselves have ever had. They include SO much for the price per plate, everything about this venue is top choice. We cannot thank Peter, Lisa and Karen enough for everything they have done for us and for the outstanding service provided by them and their staff. Thank you so much Snow Valley, You will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we will be raving about our wedding for years and years to come! -The Lemays

Only been tubing here lately, but the staff is great and the hills are a perfect balance of fast and fun.

Just went snow shoeing . Good trails. Well groomed and challenging up the yellow trail. Highly recommended Diana

Our kids (ages 5 + 6) just completed 4 consecutive days of private lessons with Chase and Lilly. We cannot express how amazing they both were to our kids and how blown away we are at what they learned!! First time skiers were going down Blue hills by day 4!!! Thank you Chase and Lilly!! Also cudos to Snow Valley for having such an organized system in place for private lessons, seemless transition every day from registration to rentals etc.

Paul Mann

Really enjoy Snow Valley. Great hills. Enjoy the clubhouse. Bought tickets on line in the morning beforehand, got 5 percent off, and was able to skip the line and get lift tickets right away in the boutique. If you order tickets on line the day before you save 8 percent. Nice friendly staff. Great relaxing clubhouse.

Nick S

Outstanding place to learn to ski or enjoy a day as an experienced skier. Cubs and Cats program for youngsters is the best value money can buy. Staff are the friendliest I’ve ever encountered and the prices are decent.

Reyhane Ostadian

We have tried the snow tubing. It was a great and fun experience. The ticket was $30 for adults.

Love it! I had been coming here for 5 years. There’s a lot to like here...chalet is amazing with 2 wood-burning fireplaces and acceptable cafeteria and bar. The hills are ideal for beginners like me...they have several runs that any beginner to intermediate skier can enjoy. Their bunny hills are long and there are 2 of them. Most of all, it’s a short drive from Toronto. I must also say, they charged me only 5 dollars for an anytime pass!!! Because I was born in 1967!!! They even refunded me the regular price I earlier paid for the day after I registered for their promotion. That’s good business practice indeed! May other businesses follow your lead. More success!!!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. No compassion from any of the employees - every person we encountered was rude to the point we were shocked this is how we are being treated after shelling out $100 per family on a 75 minute first time lesson for our 6-year olds. They made us undress a baby and a toddler outside in -7C weather in order to put on their snowsuits due to the "no bags allowed inside" policy. We could not bring in our personal belongings with diapers and bottles while waiting for the older kids to complete their lesson. This "no bag allowed" policy was not stated anywhere, nor was it mentioned in the booking confirmation email or the few times I called to inquire about the Discover Skiing package. The employees kept insisting that it's stated right on their website, while in reality it's nowhere to be found on Snow Valley's home page (you literally have to dig for it by clicking multiple links/paths until you get to a tiny bullet point). The lesson itself was disorganized and terrible. Over 25 participants (mostly adults) and our kids were completely unsupervised. The kids had trouble understanding where to go or how to get on the lift for the first few times and my husband had to stick around for most of the lesson to help navigate. Could've just not paid for a lesson and done this ourselves as the kids learned nothing from the instructors who were just navigating people up and down the hill as opposed to teach technique. Will never return to this place again.

Great kids program especially for beginners. Was able to go with my small kids to the bunny hills. They ride up the magic carpet while I go along side them (I was required to rent skiis).

Ranjit Dhillon

I lv it .its lots of fun .

Tauseef Ali

A great place to go with family. Had loads of fun. This was our first time tuning. Will definitely be going again.
