This place was a childhood hot spot for me ever since I was 3 years old so when I went today with my brother to show him my awesome childhood I was really disappointed to find almost all food stands closed, no magicians, not even a haunted maze! Not only that but the prices for entry are alot on weekends. The animals where awesome tho so that's a plus.

This is a great idea and kids will love it, which is the reason they should not be so careless about Covid protocols. People are too crowded especially on and near the wagons. There needs to be at least minimal effort to insist on masks. It would be a better experience without the stress of worrying about our unvaccinated kids exposure.

We had fun here. We went on a weekday for $7 each which was reasonable. Couldn't justify paying double $14 each on the weekend for just a couple added activities. Lots of activities for kids to play. Wear proper footwear for walking through pumpkin patch to harvest your pumpkin, be sure to grab a wheelbarrow to carry your pumpkins back to the car. You'll have to really search for a good pumpkin, they harvest and sell the best at the barn, leaving slim pickings in the patch, but you can find something decent I'm sure.

My kids are grown now but Chappell Farms was always a favourite stop in the fall for corn maze, pumpkin picking, etc. Today's visit left us with a trunk full of produce - zucchini, butternut squash, acorn squash, fresh corn and tomatoes ... A bit overpriced, but a great family outing. They have tractor rides, a mini train, and you can feed the animals (though, animals in captivity can be depressing). They have a pumpkin patch for Halloween, Easter egg hunts, and all sorts of fun holiday events.

Nice farm with CAD $10 entry ticket with complimentary pumpkin with each ticket. The tractor pulled wagon runs at intermittent intervals on weekdays and regularly on weekends. Ample parking and lots of space for young kids to run around. A sand pit to play with construction toys.

****BUYERS BEWARE**** Went there to pick up some pumpkins for my daycare kids to decorate and a couple for my front entrance and ended up being charged $63 for them. I didn’t realize the price because it’s not overly clearly marked, so I was dumbfounded when the woman came out to calculate my total and told me I owed this much…. for PUMPKINS. They’re charging $3-4 for pumpkins the size of my fist. PLEASE Chappell Farm explain how you can charge such astronomical prices for pumpkins? One pumpkin I bought was $15…. And it wasn’t even a big pumpkin, not much bigger than the pumpkin pie pumpkins I bought for my daycare kids. Never again will I go there. The prices are ridiculous. I’d likely find nicer pumpkins at a stand on the side of the highway for far cheaper. Do better and stop robbing people blind.

I love going to Chappell's Farm every Thanksgiving weekend to pick a pumpkin. It's a great place to take your family. Lots of fun! You will easily spend a good three or four hours here.

Great visit to Chappell Farms today. We ordered our tickets online for $10 each, tickets included animal feed and a pick of your favorite pumpkin from the patch! The staff were friendly and entry well organized, it wasn't overcrowded and people respected social distancing or wore masks. Running the hay bales was a lot of fun, the corn maze was short but great for the kids and there were lots of pumpkins to choose from. The animals weren't hungry, but all looked well taken care of. They do offer some food on site (hot dogs, cider/coffee/tea, cotton candy, candy apples, etc) but its cash only.

Very pretty sightseeing, with lots of animals to interact with. You won’t find many good ones left, but picking a gem out of the field is definitely a lot of fun. Great choice for an outing with friends or family. Admission was $14 for adults, and included a ticket for one pumpkin.

For a cold day, I was very happy to see how many times the wagon goes over to the pumpkin patch and back. They have 2 always rotating, which made me super happy with a young baby. Lots of things to do with young kids, and lots of animals to see.. the pumpkins are pretty average sized so perfect for craving. Good day out for Thanksgiving!

Enjoyed our day there at Easter with the 5 granddaughters. They really enjoyed the bunnies walking about, waving at everyone. The magician was geared to the kids. The live animals were well kept and interesting. The gift shop, while clean, was a bit pricey andheld little of value or interest relative to farming or agriculture.

Great place for families! Lots of stuff to do for all ages Only complaint is I think they just need more info on their website for a weekday vs weekend visit. For example: There is no food available on weekdays.... Which would have been nice to know before we got here at lunchtime. The wagons to the pumpkin field don't run constantly on the weekdays. So book accordingly if you have young ones or aging parents see pic below to plan your day. Also some activities are not available on weekdays

Not impressed! False advertising! Visited today (Monday). Website clearly said (and still says) $6 each on weekdays. We were charged $7 each (by owner herself). Brought this to the attention of the owner, who did not take responsibility for this. Lame excuses only. This tainted the whole experience. Pauline Chappell will lose far more than the extra $3 she took from us today, as we will definitely choose a different farm next year. :(

A huge space with events for the whole family. The Pumpkin Picking event in the fall is a "Must Do" local event. Rides, mazes, haunted houses, and local fair. A fantastic day out for the the whole family that's considerably inexpensive.

Worst experience! Such rude staff,rude and unwelcoming owners. From the moment we walked in the door. We booked online for a 5pm ticket. States very clear you get 2 hours. However... you tell us you close at 6,and we pay for a full 2 hours. WHY have the option online to purchase a 5pm ticket and not be fulfilled the 2 hours. Yet we paid the exact amount as everyone who got 2hours. We were told that the last tractor ride was at 5pm. We were not in anyway informed that you can only choose a pumpkin on the tractor ride! You CANNOT pick their pumpkins at the door, those are apparently buy only. Not with your tickets that include a pumpkin. When we were leaving at 6pm and was so rudely informed by this. The owner tried to tell us that we were informed of this(which we were not) after standing in silence and such disgust of this man. We had to ask again what we were to do to receive our pumpkin(as he states that the pumpkins at the front he doesn't just pick for anyone) He proceeds to tell us that we can WALK back to the pumpkin fields and pick our own. With children from ages 2-5.??? This establishment is to be family oriented. A place like this should not treat people with such disrespect at the cost that you charge. We will not ever be back and will be sure to spread the word of how unpleasant and the disgusting staff who work there. Chappell farms should be ashamed of themselves for treating people so poorly. Just disgust. Absolute disgust.

We had a great time with the family. They offered magic shows and general concession stands. There was feeding animals of all varieties, as well as hay bales to play on. We also went to the corn maze and ran around which was great. Plus they also went on the tractor ride which our kids enjoyed a ton, and it was decorated for Halloween which was a nice touch!

Even with covid-19 they are doing their best to keep everyone safe during their Fall festival. This is a great place to take your family for some good wholesome outdoor fun. We stopped on our way to Toronto from Sudbury, it was a fun break. For a $10 entry fee they let you pink a pumpkin and give you some feed for the animals. If you take your entire family, can get a little pricey but they have a good farm with good backgrounds for family pictures. There’s corn and apples and pumpkins that you can buy too! They let me have a free pumpkin for my 6 month old! :)

Kids really wanted to go we had a great time despite the fact there were NO and I stress this no pumpkins in their field. Everyone I saw was leaving disappointed with apple sized pumpkins for 14$ admission 3 weeks before Halloween.. Was kind of a rip off as I imagine they harvest all the pumpkins and sell them and let people sort through the scraps self serve for top price admission bad practice ! Will drive further for a better farm next year.

Socially responsible, book online and early. Not as many features as previous years, but the only things not available are those where they cannot limit the number of people there. Still pick your own pumpkin, but no wagon, again because of distancing. 2 hours per booking, plenty of time to see everything.

This is a great farm but I am very disappointed how expensive it is to get in on weekends and they don't offer a family rate. I don't feel a child should pay the same as an adult. People are struggling financially so the cost keeps some families away that should be able to enjoy this farm. It's very clean and a fun day if you can afford it.

Times are tough right now and I think it was especially evident in our most recent visit to Chappell Farms on Thanksgiving weekend. They didn't have the usual array of bouncy castles for children to play on and they removed the train. One upgrade that was nice was the new trailers used to transport people to the pumpkin patch. Really comfortable and carried a lot of people. On the other hand, the biggest disappointment was easily the pumpkin patch, which was essentially a glorified side of the road self serve pumpkin stand. The pre-picked pumpkins were just piled in the middle of a barren field (actually wouldn't be surprised if the bought skids of pumpkins to resell). There was a small pumpkin patch, but it was overgrown and not well kept, and from the quick walk through I did there wasn't anything worth picking. Even at $14/person I feel like I was a little ripped off. My family has been going here for years, but unfortunately this was the last. I hear there is a good spot out near Collingwood that I think we will try next year.

Visited the farm for their fall festival. Nice spot and the grounds are well kept, however their pricing is excessive. Any person over 24 months old must pay full fee of $14 per person admission on weekends. This fee does include a pick-your-own pumpkin. Children should be cheaper than an adult.

My experience last year was great (went on a Saturday), but this year we went today (weekday) although I had no problem with the overall experience, I did not enjoy the pumpkin patch. After walking a good 500m (roughly) with my 3.5 year old and walking the whole patch of rotten smashed open pumpkins we were only able to get 4 nice small pumpkins and 2 decent medium size pumpkins. I figured it would have been ok since they are only open for 2 more days but then once we're leaving I'm told I can only get 2 pumpkins. after explaining the whole field was basically rotten and smashed pumpkins I just left with my 2 because I was not paying $2 for more pumpkins... when it's 2 days till Halloween I think it should be a free for all from the patch (grab whatever you want but not being greedy). overall for $14 I was better off going to an indoor playground with my daughter and then going to Walmart to buy pumpkins for $1. I will not be back next year

My overrall experience at Chappell Farms was delightful, and would have recieved a five star rating until I encountered the owner. As i was exiting with my pumpkin in my arms, i lost my balance, dropped my pumpkin and completely cracked the bottom. I went into the gift shop to politely ask the owner if I switch my cracked pumpkin for one of the hundreds of pumpkins located at the entrance. The owner then procceeded to interrupt me, and rudely respond " um.. no. Not only did I not appreciate her disgusting tone, but was highly annoyed that she asked me to walk to the side feild in the rain. Please work on your poor customer service skills.

What a wonderful place to bring kids and get a taste of farm life and nature. The staff were friendly and working hard. Covid precautions were in place. Prices for tickets and food were more than reasonable. I suggest buying your tickets in advance and setting a time to arrive. Also bring cash for fries and concessions that don't have debit. Highly recommend the wagon ride to pick your own pumpkins.

Absolutely no mask control anywhere. Signs are posted saying masks are mandatory but from visitors to staff, a conservative guess would be 20% of people are wearing them. Come for the pumpkins, stay for the covid.

We come here every year and we always have a great time! The decorations on the way to the pumpkin patch are creative and funny and definitely a highlight of the trip. The pumpkins are good quality, the animals in the petting zoo seem happy and the scare barn always makes a least one of us jump! Thanks!

Chappell farms is something to do with the small kids. At the end when your tired of letting kids play and look at farm animals you can go on a tractor pulled train to pick up pumpkin. You walk in and out through a small area to buy toys etc it's just a great place to bring your kids or grandchildren.

Great place to visit with the family. This was our 3rd year going there. We went to get Halloween pumpkins with our 2yr daughter and she had a blast. Lots of kids activities and she loved feeding the farm animals in the little petting zoo.

A nice place to spend time with kids of any age. My son is not even a year old and he loved looking at all the animals and going on the tractor ride. When he is older he can enjoy those things as well as the corn maze and bouncy castles. There is something for everyone. A great family outing.

Kids had fun, but kids will always have fun. They advertise a corn maze, but it should be more aptly named corn horseshoe, as that is all it is. Out of 7 peddle tricycles, 4 were broken. Money could be spent better elsewhere.

Great, local family-run farm. If you go visit during pumpkin season through the week, it's not very busy and it's only $6.00 for admission and a pumpkin. Good activities for kids of all ages. Nice outing to go with babies as well. Cute store in the barn!

Didn’t have the best experience with Chapel Farms today… They barely have any pumpkins left, the ones that are left are smashed or literally the size of your hand or even smaller than that so you can’t even cut them… then in the middle of the field they have a box filled with normal size pumpkins that I’m pretty sure are store-bought because there’s literally no big ones around… So that also takes away from the whole experience! I wish I had known before I went. Also they have a new trailer tractor that takes more people but it was so busy and they have no designated lines so patrons are just bunched together budding people who were there first… we had to wait a few rides to go. Overall wasnt the best experience compared to past years :( the animals are always so great so that’s a positive!

It's a great day out for toddlers....always check the weather cuz there's no refund for if it starts raining. I would give it a 4-5 but I found the way they charge a little expense. We have a 2yr old and because both of us mom ndad went our son was free we paid $22 for both us. The Easter egg hunt is every hour but the line up is huge every hour and is mostly for older kids. Seeing he is two he could t go on the bouncy castle as the larger kids took over n the kids watching it didn't take any initiative to control it. The wagon ride was around a dirt field. If u r gonna go wait till there three or go around Halloween it's a much better set up. I will go next year on halloween and may try Easter one more time if its nice out n we have nothing else to do.

I am not one to normally write a review but after yesterday experience I left feeling very upset. Going to Chappell farm has been tradition with my family, as a child I would go and loved it, and now I bring my own daughter. Yesterday, we travelled from Muskoka to get our pumpkins and as an honest mistake I had dropped my tickets. Which should be totally understandable getting money out of my pockets for food for the animals and ourselves and my phone for pictures to capture the memories. Anyways upon leaving after spending an hour or so in the field searching for pumpkins, the lady in the gift shop asked for our tickets, I had explained and apologized I dropped them in the field. She responded with "go back and get them would you" (as this could've been a joke, however, it was not interrupted as one). I laughed it off and she then continued with "well what do you want me to do" ( with a rude manner). At this point I showed her our stamps and that we had paid our almost 50 dollars to get in. She shrugged her shoulders like that meant absolutely nothing. she then rolled her eyes and said "happy thanksgiving" and let us go with our pumpkins. It was an honest mistake we dropped our tickets I am sure we are not the only ones to do so. We should've left Chappells farm in a happy mood, however even my daughter was left feeling not happy and discourage. This use to be a fun family tradition and a great way to get into the Hallowe'en spirit but, not after yesterdays experience.
