Very pretty, but can be quite crowded during the afternoon hours. Usually this is fine but if you are wary of Covid19 I'd suggest going in the evening or in the morning.

Great bridge to walk across with no cars and a nice view. Be mindful of your lens caps if you are taking pictures on the bridge as you may lose them... Not sure what the reasoning was to make the bridge brown but wish it was a bit of a nicer color!

One of the coolest pedestrian bridges in the area. Take some friends late at night, and enjoy 360 degrees of mountains. A peaceful stream flowing under. The bridge has lights along both sides making a very surreal feel.

if you read the placards dotted around they will inform you of many educational, historical events & facts. & if you didn't know, there are Native Indian faces just above each of the bridges support columns, there's also a placard explaining why, but you'll have to find out for yourself. ; )

There are easy and flat paths along the river for walking and biking which take you all the way to the Bow falls lookout, or straight to Bow falls, depending on which side of the river you choose.

This is a good bridge. Very nice to walk across with beautiful views of the Banff area. One can appreciate the openness and wooden planks. The suspension wires, however tend to take away from its beauty in the natural landscape. It would be nice to see more wooden or stone accents to compliment the scenery over which it crosses. 4 stars.

A little gem that offers beautiful views and you can do a walk away from the downtown crowds. All the people were smiling around here. In case kids in your group need to use the washrooms, they are about 300 meters away near the Banff Park Museum by the main bridge. Enjoy!

I'm so glad I got an early start! Best wildlife sightings I've had in Banff. The view from the bridge is gorgeous. And a friendly gentleman passing by stopped to say hello and told me about all the elk by the Legion. Even in the pouring rain this is a memory I'll treasure.

After all these years of visiting Banff, we never knew about the pedestrian bridge across bow River. Luckily, this all changed when Banff reduced parking and we had to park quite far in. Having to walk towards the town centre enabled us to spot this Banff feature. The Banff Pedestrian bridge allowed us to see some beautiful natural views. Lots of people were on the bridge taking selfies and Instagram photos. No doubt the view is nice and worth walking across. It also connected us to a beautiful walking trail that leads to the waterfall. It's a nice pleasant walk that is also wheelchair/stroller friendly... up until the stairs to get to the waterfall side. We definitely we make this one of our regular stops in Banff in the future.
