Gorgeous views and amazing water colour. Marvelous scenery just everywhere around the Spirit island, you have only 15min to explore the surroundings before coming back to the main land with the tour guide, but it's still worth it.

Amazing view of the mountain range from the island. You can't really explore or walk on the island because it's sacred. However, just the short stairway built to provide spectacular views of the mountain range is a privilege to experience.

Unfreaking believable, a #1 MUST DO while in the area. The drive to the lake is about an 1.25 hours from Jasper on a very scenic road. Take the day and stop at Maligne Canyon on your way to/from for a 1-1.5 hour hike. The island itself is stunning, while limited walking and time on the island, the scenery is like out of a postcard. You will not be disappointed by the trip out or the time invested in this adventure. Please be respectful while on the island, to it by packing-in and packing-out, and the other visitors. Just magical no matter what way you look at it!

Came here yesterday and it was pretty smokey. However, the Spirit Island still shows us it's beauty even though we can't barely see the mountains but it was worth it that next time we visit Jasper we will do this boat tour again and pay more to stay a bit longer. 15 minutes is just not enough for me. I wanted to just make a video with just one corner but I was in a hurry. Captain Flo and the tour guide Maddie both ladies were very friendly and nice. I love that when we all aboard the boat and all are seated the captain said "check your seat belt" and everyone looked down looking for the seat belt. No! I didn't do that as I was filming and then the unison laugh, realizing that the Captain was joking ????. That's how the boat ride started and it went well after that. Again! Even though it was smokey. This is a must to do in Jasper. No point going to Maligne Lake if you don't go for the boat tour to the Spirit Island. It is worth the money to do it.

Take the boat cruise from Maligne Lake to this small little island (which is not exactly an island except for a couple of months when the ice melts into the lake and water level rises) Alternatively you can also rent canoe/kayak from the Maligne Lake boat house and visit this island. It's not very near though. You can click some nice photos, the cruise guides will tell you about some interesting facts about this little island. You can stay there for like half an hour do little loop hike and take pictures.

This is another iconic view of the Canadian Rockies, adorning many posters and tourist brochures. Spirit Island is visited on a 90 minute boat trip on Maligne Lake, about 30 miles from Jasper.

This trip was awesome! Our guide Alexis was very knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed her job! The captain was also very pleasant but quiet, although I believe he was just making sure the tour guide could shine at her job. Highly recommend this tour to anyone.

This is a beautiful place which holds importance to the indigenous people of Canada. To access this place we used services provided by Pursuit and we were delighted to do that. Our Captain Guides May and Cassie they were excellent. We just loved them. Make sure you respect the place and importance of it when you visit this breathtaking place. To describe the beauty of it I guess all the words might me little short. Only accessibility to this place is via maligne lake. The cruise ride is fun too. They have made a small trail to hike up and we need to make sure we stick to that trail. Please carry raincoats or jacket as weather can change every half an hour.

We didn't plan to do this tour but when we looked at Banff gondola and the skywalk tours (which we wanted to do), it was very little more to buy a combo package and add the boat cruise- and it was so worth it! Spirit Island is absolutely gorgeous and we saw lots of moose at the docking area.

The only way to get to Spirit Island is by boat; either a tour boat, rental or your own. When I arrived at Spirit Island it was overcast later on the clouds started recede. Spirit Island isn’t a true Island.
