Great little museum. Admission is by donation. There is a nice gift shop with many locally created items, 3 large rooms indoors with history stemming from the first explorers and settlers of the Peace Country, right up to today. There are some larger items outside as well such as what's left of the paddle-wheel from the S.S. D.A. Thomas.

Peace River Museum is simply superb! A very interesting and sensibly organised curation of local history starting with the First Nations. Although not a large building the displays are varied. The inclusion of displays that visitors may handle is an excellent idea as well.

I only had time for the boutique shopping area, but found this great book that was recommended by a very helpful Museum Staff person. And picked up copies of their Events Calendar for the summer, to share with visitors!
